Hims And HersLondon, England22 days ago

gofigmaclinicaltriagedentalmental health+7

Hims & Hers is the leading health and wellness platform, on a mission to help the world feel great through the power of better health. We are redefining healthcare by putting the customer first and delivering access to care that is affordable, accessible, and personal, from diagnosis to treatment to delivery. No two people are the same, so we provide access to personalized care designed for results. By normalizing health & wellness challenges and innovating on their solutions, we're making better health outcomes easier to achieve. Hims & Hers is a public company, traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol "HIMS." To learn more about the brand and offerings, you can visit hims.com/about and hims.com/how-it-works . For information on the company's outstanding benefits, culture, and its talent-first flexible/remote work approach, see below and visit www.hims.com/careers-professionals . About the Role: We're looking for an AI-native Senior Product Designer to help drive the design of our Sexual Health experience — one of Hims & Hers' founding and highest-engagement categories. You'll partner closely with Design, Product Management, Clinical, and Engineering to design a best-in-class telemedicine experience across the sexual health journey, from first visit through ongoing treatment. This role sits at the intersection of two mandates: sharpening what already exists and defining what comes next. You'll spend real time in the current app — refining flows, fixing friction, and raising the visual and interaction bar on existing features — while also using AI-native design tools and workflows to prototype and pressure-test where the sexual health experience should go over the next several product generations. You should be equally comfortable shipping a polished iteration this sprint and sketching a bolder, AI-shaped version of the product for next year. You are a user-centric designer and problem solver who is motivated, ego-free, and always looking to improve, ideate, and refine. You're comfortable being both strategic and executional, working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, and translating dense, sensitive, and often stigmatized subject matter into design that feels simple, human, and trustworthy. You Will: Elevate the Current Product Own and iterate on the sexual health app experience today — flows, journey maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity visual design across onboarding, diagnosis intake, treatment selection, refills, and check-ins. Identify friction, inconsistency, and drop-off in the existing product and design measurable improvements. Lead large initiatives or multiple concurrent projects with autonomy. Design with AI, Natively Bring an AI-native workflow to your craft — using AI tools for research synthesis, rapid concept generation, prototyping, and content/copy exploration — to move faster from insight to tested concept. Explore how AI-powered features (personalization, triage, guided decision-making, ongoing care support) could become part of the sexual health product itself, not just part of how you design it. Build Toward the Future App Translate where sexual health care is headed into concrete product direction. Partner with Product and Clinical to define a longer-term vision for the category, and design the connective tissue between today's app and that future state — so every current iteration is also a step toward it. Champion the User Deeply understand the needs, anxieties, and behaviors of people seeking sexual health care — a category where trust, discretion, and empathy are as important as usability. Participate in customer research, testing, and iteration to ensure the product isn't just easy to use, but reduces stigma and builds confidence at every step. Collaborate and Communicate Partner with Design, Product Managers, Research, Clinical, and Engineering to navigate complex, sensitive problems and drive projects from start to finish. Develop deep product and category expertise, become a trusted partner to stakeholders, and communicate decisions and process with clarity and empathy. You Have: 5+ years in a UX or Product Design role, leading design alongside cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Research Hands-on experience designing with AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow (research, ideation, prototyping, or content generation), or strong enthusiasm and aptitude for adopting one A holistic approach to design, from category-level strategy down to pixel-level detail Comfort designing for sensitive, high-stigma subject matter with empathy and discretion A self-starter who is solution-oriented and comfortable defining, scoping, and designing for new opportunities with or without input from others Excellent communication skills and the ability to present decisions and process clearly and confidently Enthusiasm for growth and feedback, and the ability to work well with designers of all levels Adaptability and excitement for working in a fast-paced environment Solid visual craft with an eye for detail Expert proficiency in Figma Nice to Have: Previous experience building products 0-to-1 in a startup You have a passion for motion design, specifically as it relates to interaction Previous experience in telehealth, pharma, or healthcare Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights): Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) 401k benefits with employer matching contribution Offsite team retreats We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match. Calm has been recognized as a TIME100 Most Influential Company and one of Fast Company's Brands That Matter . Learn more at calm.com . What We Do At Calm we believe in making relaxation, better sleep, and mindfulness accessible to the entire world, and we hope you will help us achieve our mission. The Product & Design team is responsible for delivering Calm to our customers, ensuring that it is easy to use, supports their goals, and maintains a high level of quality across web, iOS, Android platforms. As a Senior Product Designer on our Consumer team, you'll shape experiences used by tens of millions of people to sleep better, stress less, and live more mindfully. People often reach for Calm in their most vulnerable moments, so the craft of what we make (how it looks, moves, and feels) matters enormously. This is a builder's role in the truest sense: you'll use AI and modern prototyping tools to move from insight to interactive prototype to shipped experience, not as a shortcut on quality, but to spend less time producing and more time on the judgment and detail that make an experience great. When anyone can generate a hundred screens in an afternoon, taste and judgment are the differentiators! The heart of this role is balancing velocity and craft in service of making our users healthier and happier, and building intuitive, engaging and impactful experiences that drive acquisition, engagement and retention. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing, and set the standard for craft across iOS, Android, and web. You will be a thought leader in design, helping to establish best practices and setting the bar for exceptional product design at Calm. What You'll Do Own end-to-end product design initiatives that cover the whole product experience (visual, interaction, motion, brand integration), to create thoughtful, high-quality user-centered mobile experiences. Prototype quickly in Figma and with AI and low-code tools like Replit, Lovable, and Claude, so you can get real, testable ideas in front of people early. Present your design work clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders (including senior leadership), give and take feedback well, anchoring your rationale to both user needs and business goals. Maintain strong attention to detail and collaboration through engineering implementation (build and QA) and post launch-iterations, to ensure high-quality execution. Use data and drive research to inform the experiences you build, and leverage performance insights to evolve your approach. Champion system-level thinking (improving how the team works and evolving Calm's design system) so the whole team works faster and smarter. Balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of execution. Who You Are Experienced Product Designer: 7+ years of experience in UX and UI design with 5+ within consumer mobile and web applications. AI-native and tooling-fluent: Highly proficient in Figma for design, and already using AI and low-code tools (Replit, Lovable, Claude) to prototype and move fast, with the judgment to know when the output is good enough and when it isn't. Technical agility: Comfortable shipping small code changes without engineering support, bridging the gap between design and engineering by personally shipping copy and UI polish directly. A builder: Biased toward shipping and iterating over perfect plans. You'd rather put a working prototype in front of people than write a doc about one. Data- and research-informed: You fold both qualitative and quantitative insight into your design decisions, and you measure whether the work landed. A strong collaborator: A low-ego, trusted partner to Product, Research, and Engineering who makes the people around them better and helps sharpen how the team works. High craft standards: A strong advocate for accessibility, consistency, visual storytelling, brand integration, and motion design to create engaging user experiences, while still maintaining velocity. A clear communicator: You present your thinking persuasively to stakeholders and senior leadership, give and take feedback well, and champion an experience while staying open to being wrong. Nice to Haves Experience with conversational or AI-native UX. Experience working at multiple organizations, ideally including time at a consumer product in a fast-paced startup environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to design and ship beautiful, functional, and user-friendly experiences. Comfort shipping small copy and UI changes directly in code, without engineering support. A passion for Calm's mission and a point of view on how digital products can support mental health. Minimum Requirements 7+ years in UX/UI design with 5+ within consumer mobile (and web) applications. Proven experience driving user testing and research. Strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, and usability best practices. Experience designing and shipping mobile applications at scale. Hands-on proficiency in Figma and modern AI/prototyping tools. Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger design vision and strategy.
