Celonis is the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI. At our core is the Celonis Context Model — which combines process data, business knowledge, and intelligence into a living digital twin of the enterprise that AI can actually understand, turning AI's operational blind spots into operational clarity. World's leading companies trust Celonis and its global ecosystem of partners to make their AI agents, people, systems, and processes work together, achieving transformational outcomes. We believe there's a massive opportunity to unlock global productivity and sustainability by giving AI the context to understand how every business process really works. Join our mission to make processes work for people, companies, and the planet. The Team Celonis Services is the delivery engine of our Celonis Customer Organization, responsible for turning the Celonis platform into measurable, business-critical outcomes for our customers. In the AI era, our role has elevated: as AI agents like our own Apollo take on more of the technical build, our people focus on the work that drives real impact—understanding our customers' business-critical problems, designing the solutions that solve them, and quantifying the value delivered. Our Deployment Engineers and Deployment Architects pair deep domain and industry expertise with serious platform mastery and AI-augmented delivery, directing agentic systems while owning the judgment, architecture, and customer relationships that AI cannot replace. We deliver faster and smarter than ever, and we own the outcome: initial value realization, adoption, and the long-term success of our customers. The Role As a Lead Deployment Architect, you are the technical authority for our strategic accounts within Celonis delivery. You shape how Celonis solutions are designed, architected, and delivered across your portfolio of strategic customer engagements. You define what good delivery looks like - setting architectural standards, designing end-to-end solution strategies, and ensuring that AI-augmented and agentic workflows are deployed effectively at scale. You operate at the intersection of deep platform expertise, domain knowledge, and customer strategy. You are equally comfortable leading a technical design review with Celonis engineers and presenting a transformation roadmap to a customer's C-suite. You bridge the gap between pre-sales and post-sales, ensuring that what was promised can be delivered - and often shaping the promise itself. This role carries significant organizational leverage. You set delivery patterns that other teams follow. You define how AI agents should be orchestrated for complex, multi-workstream engagements. You work in close collaboration with Deployment Engineers and raise the bar for the entire practice. The Work You'll Do Solution Architecture & Design Support Services scoping in pre-sales, ensuring the right Services are positioned in line with the Celonis solution architecture proposed Design end-to-end Celonis solution architectures for complex enterprise deployments, spanning multiple process areas, business units, and geographies Define the technical blueprint for how the Celonis platform integrates with customer systems, data strategies, and transformation goals Designing secure, scalable architectures tailored to complex enterprise requirements, optimizing for long-term usage growth and high concurrency. Make architectural trade-off decisions: build vs. configure, custom vs. standard, phased vs. big-bang - with clear rationale tied to customer outcomes Own solution quality & outcome delivery across engagements, conducting design reviews, and ensuring delivery teams follow architectural standards AI Orchestration & Delivery Innovation Design how AI deployment agents (Apollo) should be used across complex, multi-workstream engagements, defining agent workflows, validation checkpoints, and quality gates Develop reusable specifications, templates, and patterns that enable Deployment Engineers to direct AI agents more effectively Pioneer new delivery approaches that leverage AI to compress timelines, improve quality, or unlock use cases that were previously impractical Set standards for AI output validation, ensuring the organization maintains quality as delivery accelerates Customer Strategy & Advisory Serve as the senior technical advisor to strategic customers, building trusted relationships with VP and C-level stakeholders Translate customer business challenges into Celonis platform strategies, identifying high-impact use cases and defining success metrics Support pre-sales by providing technical credibility in complex deals, validating solution feasibility, and shaping project scope Guide customers through their Process Intelligence maturity journey, advising on platform expansion, AI readiness, and organizational change Leverage the broader ecosystem of Celonis experts to remove potential blockers in customer engagements Establish deep, technical advisor relationships with customer stakeholders (Lead Data Engineers and Architects, Head of Data Intelligence, Head of Business Transformation) to provide technical reassurance and maintain "Expert-to-Expert" alignment during the course of the deployment Successful Implementation Work together with Deployment Engineers on delivery projects to implement the most complex and cutting edge use cases for our customers Stay on top of the newest technologies Celonis has to offer and own the implementation of early stage products for our customers, ensuring close feedback cycles with Product & Engineering Review Solution(s) Blueprint to ensure quality, scalability and production readiness of business critical and operational use cases Domain & Industry Depth Develop and maintain deep expertise in one or more process domains (e.g., Supply Chain, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, IT Service Management) or industry verticals Translate domain knowledge into scalable solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices that the broader team can leverage Proactively identify and standardize high-value use cases within your domain in collaboration with the Deployment Engineer, collaborating with Product and Business Apps teams to shape the platform roadmap Practice Development Contribute to hiring: define what great looks like for the Deployment job family, conduct interviews, and calibrate candidate assessments Share knowledge across the organization through internal enablement sessions, documentation, and community of practice leadership Ensure the link with Product & Engineering to feed customer insights and field experience back into platform development, and to influence the platform roadmap What Distinguishes This Role from Deployment Engineer Scope: You work across multiple engagements and shape solutions across a portfolio/cluster/industry vertical (4+ concurrent clients) Influence & Practice Development: your Scope allows you to identify and set standards that other teams follow - for solution architecture, AI orchestration patterns, and delivery quality Bridge: You span pre-sales and post-sales, ensuring continuity between what's sold and what's delivered Force multiplier: Your work multiplies the effectiveness of Deployment Engineers rather than substituting for it The Qualifications You Need Experience: 8+ years in technical consulting, solution architecture, or delivery leadership within enterprise software, consulting firms, or system integrators. At least 3 years in a senior or lead technical role with multi-stakeholder responsibility in large-scale projects at tier-1 organizations (e.g. digital twin implementations, global AI transformations, near-real-time data pipelines, etc.) Architecture skills: Proven ability to design complex, multi-component solutions that span data integration, process intelligence, automation, and AI, while remaining grounded in the "so-what" of a customer's process. Deep understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and trade-offs. Platform mastery: Expert-level knowledge of the Celonis platform, including the Process Intelligence Graph, data modeling, advanced PQL, automation and orchestration engine, and AI modules. Ability to push the platform's boundaries via a working knowledge of Python. AI & agent orchestration: Demonstrated ability to design AI-augmented delivery workflows leveraging frontier tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.). Experience with context engineering, multi-agent system design, or AI validation at scale. Ability to define how AI should be used, not just use it. Domain expertise: Deep knowledge in at least one major process domain or industry vertical. Ability to translate domain expertise into scalable solution patterns and credible customer advisory. Customer executive presence: Track record of building trusted advisor relationships with VP and C-level stakeholders. Ability to present transformation strategies, defend architectural decisions, and navigate complex organizational dynamics. Demonstrated experience navigating complex IT landscapes and communicating technical trade-offs to senior leadership. Consulting & communication: Exceptional ability to translate between technical and business audiences. Experience leading workshops, design sessions, and strategic reviews with senior stakeholders. Leadership & mentoring: Demonstrated ability to raise the performance of teams around you. Experience mentoring technical staff, setting quality standards, and contributing to organizational capability development. Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. Languages: Fluency in English and German required. What Celonis can offer you: Pioneer Innovation: Work with the global leader in Process Mining and the Process Intelligence Graph to shape the future of AI-driven business operations. Ownership from Day 1: Every full-time "Celonaut" is an owner, receiving Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and merit-based refresh grants. Unrivaled Family Support: Benefit from our inclusive parental leave policy—24 weeks of fully paid leave for primary carers and 12 weeks for supporting carers, available from your first day of employment. Continuous Growth: Elevate your skills through our 70-20-10 learning framework, mentorship programs, and access to a dedicated learning platform. Holistic Well-being: Prioritize your health with subsidized Wellhub memberships, mental health counseling, and dedicated "Wellness Weeks" that prioritize work/life balance. Drive Sustainability: Participate in annual Impact Days, where you receive paid time off to volunteer for community and environmental causes with your local office, or virtually. Global Inclusion & Belonging: Find community through our Inclusion Think Tank and participate in our annual Inclusion Days, ensuring every voice is heard and valued. Value-Driven Impact: Join a mission-led organization where our core values—Live for Customer Value, The Best Team Wins, We Own It, and Earth Is Our Future—drive every decision. Head of Business Operations
Full TimeOn-siteDirector
platform engineeringcrmsales

Take over founder-led operations and build the systems that help us grow. You might be a consultant who moved into a startup, a founder's associate already running important parts of a business, or an operator who has started building software and automations yourself. You enjoy understanding how a business works, finding what slows it down, and making it work better. You can turn an unclear problem into a practical plan, bring people with you, and build the first solution. We are looking for someone ready to take that ability further: own our operations function, lead a small team, and join the company's leadership team. About us Platform Engineering Masters is the company behind platformengineering.org and PlatformCon. We bring together engineers, technology leaders and vendors through our community, conferences, education and Weave Intelligence. As the business grows, the systems behind it need to grow too: how we deliver for customers, run events, produce content, understand performance and share information across teams. Our co-founder, Christoph currently leads operations. You will work closely with him during the handover, then take responsibility for running and developing the function independently. You will report to Luca, our Managing Director. The challenge We have a working business, an existing operations team and plenty already being built. We also have manual handovers, disconnected information and processes that depend too much on particular people. Your job is to decide what needs attention, understand the business problem behind each request, and lead the work through to a solution people actually use. Some of the questions you will tackle: How do we turn a customer commitment into a reliable delivery process across sales, content and events? How do we give teams trustworthy information about what is working and where to focus? How do we make recurring work, such as publishing a webinar or delivering a sponsored asset, easy to run consistently? Which problems need custom software, which need better use of existing tools, and which simply need a clearer process? How do we keep improving our systems without making the business dependent on their original builders? What you will own The operations roadmap. Work directly with Sales, Growth, Content and Events to understand their needs. Prioritize by business impact, challenge requests where necessary, and make trade-offs explicit, including when requests come from founders. A small, growing team. You will manage our existing revenue operations and systems engineering specialists from the start, and help recruit and develop additional content/design and growth operations capacity. Hands-on delivery. Prototype, write code, connect systems and build automations yourself when that is the fastest way to make progress. Give your team clear direction and space to own delivery. Systems that last. Make sure critical workflows have clear ownership, useful documentation and sensible standards for reliability, access and maintenance. Adoption and results. Work with business teams until the solution is part of their everyday work. Judge success by better delivery, useful information and time saved. Your remit is the operational systems supporting the business. Functional leaders own their commercial, editorial and event outcomes; you work with them to make those outcomes easier to achieve. What you will bring Structured problem-solving and strong communication. You can understand an internal customer's needs, question assumptions and explain a recommendation clearly. Consulting or similar client-facing experience would be useful. Evidence that you build. You have used code, APIs, automation or AI tools to solve real problems. You can walk us through what you built, why you chose that approach and what happened when people used it. Commercial judgment. You connect operational improvements to revenue, delivery quality, cost or capacity. Ownership in an ambiguous environment. You can make progress without a complete brief and follow through when implementation gets difficult. Readiness to lead. You can set priorities, give useful feedback and hold a small team accountable while staying close to the work. Curiosity about technology and the business. You learn unfamiliar tools and domains quickly and care about the quality of the result. Experience managing processes in a startup would be valuable. You do not need to have held a Head of Operations title or worked in every area this role touches. We care more about your judgment, learning speed and track record than a particular CRM certification or tool stack. What success looks like In your first months, you will establish clear priorities with the team, take ownership of the most important systems and deliver improvements that business teams can see and use. Over time, routine work will run with fewer manual interventions, teams will have better information, and the founders will be able to step out of day-to-day operations with confidence. Why join You will inherit a real team, work directly with leadership and have the mandate to shape an important part of a growing business. This is an opportunity to move from solving individual problems to owning the function that solves them. Interested? Send us your CV or profile and a short example of something you improved or built. Tell us what the problem was, what you personally did and what changed. If you have any questions, please contact Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
