Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow revenue, and create new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. About the team Stripe's ecosystem enables third-party developers and technology partners to extend products such as Payments, Billing, Tax, Checkout, and Workflows. The Ecosystem team builds the Stripe Apps Marketplace and the distribution, platform, and incentive systems that connect businesses with valuable third-party solutions. Our goal is to create a compounding ecosystem: better distribution generates merchant demand and stronger partner returns; those returns attract more high-quality apps; and those apps broaden Stripe's product fit and value to users. What you'll do We're looking for an Ecosystem Product Lead to own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for Stripe's third-party app ecosystem, including the Stripe Apps Marketplace. You will lead both sides of the ecosystem: helping businesses discover and adopt trusted solutions, while enabling developers and partners to build successful products on Stripe. You will determine where Stripe should expand ecosystem coverage, improve the merchant journey from discovery through ongoing usage, and establish the product and operating foundations for a high-quality marketplace. Responsibilities Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for Stripe's third-party app ecosystem and Marketplace. Define the highest-value merchant needs and ecosystem gaps by product, segment, industry, and geography; determine when Stripe should build, partner, or enable third parties to address them. Improve the merchant funnel from discovery and evaluation through installation, activation, usage, and retention. Expand distribution beyond the Marketplace by surfacing relevant apps across Stripe's product workflows, onboarding, Dashboard, support, and other high-intent experiences. Improve discovery through search, taxonomy, recommendations, personalization, and merchandising. Establish marketplace standards for app quality, reliability, security, permissions, support, and data-use transparency so businesses can adopt third-party solutions confidently. Create the incentives, analytics, growth tools, and monetization capabilities that help developers build sustainable businesses and continue investing in Stripe. Define and monitor ecosystem health, including app coverage and quality, merchant conversion and retention, partner success, and incremental value to Stripe. Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Partnerships, Developer Relations, Marketing, Sales, Support, Risk, and Legal. Represent Stripe's ecosystem strategy with developers, technology partners, and users, using their feedback and quantitative evidence to guide product decisions. Align senior stakeholders around priorities and trade-offs, and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements below. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements 10+ years of product-management, engineering, product-focused founder, or equivalent experience, including ownership of a complex product area at scale. Experience setting strategy and driving execution for a platform, marketplace, ecosystem, developer product, or other multi-sided business. Demonstrated success improving acquisition, discovery, conversion, activation, or retention. Strong judgment across user-facing products, technical platforms, partner economics, and marketplace trade-offs. Experience leading ambiguous initiatives across multiple product, engineering, and business teams. Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, developer tooling, and platform products. Demonstrated ability to define metrics and use qualitative and quantitative evidence to prioritize investments. Experience working directly with external developers, technology partners, or enterprise users. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing senior stakeholders and leading across organizational boundaries. Preferred qualifications Experience building or scaling an app marketplace, developer ecosystem, or two-sided platform. Experience with marketplace search, recommendations, ranking, personalization, or contextual distribution. Experience designing partner monetization, incentives, or revenue-sharing models. Experience with enterprise SaaS workflows such as CRM, ERP, ecommerce, support, reporting, or quote-to-cash. Experience in payments, financial technology, or another regulated technology environment. Experience taking a platform or marketplace from 0→1 and scaling its adoption and operating model.

Own metrics for integration success, adoption, retention, revenue, and user value; use results to guide product and commercial decisions and communicate progress. Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders about priorities, trade-offs, progress, and results, building alignment across teams you don't directly manage. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements 8+ years of Product Management experience Highly analytical, with a rigorous approach to quantitative and qualitative evidence. You're comfortable digging into data, writing SQL when needed, and connecting product decisions to user and business outcomes. Scrappy and resourceful, with experience taking products from zero to one. You thrive in early-stage environments, test ideas quickly, and turn what you learn into products that scale. Strong commercial and business acumen. You understand how customer needs, market dynamics, and product differentiation translate into adoption and durable business value. Proven cross-functional leadership, including experience partnering with B2B sales teams on customer discovery, technical evaluation, and commercialization. Experience shipping Dashboard and API products, with empathy for end users and developers alike. Experience developing pricing and monetization models for B2B products. Technical fluency to go deep with engineers on APIs, system architecture, and integration trade-offs, and to explain those decisions clearly to customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for distilling complex user problems into precise, actionable framing. An ownership mindset and a high bar for product quality. You do what it takes to solve user problems and care deeply about the details of the experience. Preferred qualifications Experience building fraud prevention, risk, security, or ML powered products.
