We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support the definition, integration, and verification of Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) activities and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for our orbital rocket programme. You will translate vehicle and subsystem needs into clear requirements for test setups, tooling, interfaces, facilities, and operational procedures. Working closely with the Lead Systems Engineer and teams across avionics, software, structures, propulsion, GNC, manufacturing, and test, you will help ensure that flight hardware and the systems used to assemble and test it work together effectively. This is a hands-on systems role for someone who enjoys working across disciplines and close to real hardware. Your work will contribute directly to efficient vehicle integration, robust test campaigns, and successful launch operations. About us We're a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications. We are already launching suborbital and ballistic rockets on a regular basis, generating significant revenue and applying our knowledge toward the development of an orbital rocket. We are working hard to build something truly spectacular. To thrive here you will need to be comfortable working at pace, with the autonomy to make decisions and execute on them quickly. If you're excited by hard technical challenges and want a role where you will make a real difference each day to the future of the company, we may be the place for you. At our company, job titles and career progression are earned, not determined by years of experience alone. They reflect the responsibility you take on and the dedication you bring to each project. If you're ready to rise to the challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Key responsibilities Capture, define, and manage AIT and GSE requirements derived from vehicle, subsystem, manufacturing, and test needs. Define and maintain key interfaces between flight hardware, GSE, tooling, test facilities, avionics, software, propulsion, and operations. Develop system architectures, interface definitions, requirements specifications, verification matrices, and other supporting systems documentation. Identify requirements for tooling, fixtures, handling equipment, electrical and data connections, instrumentation, facilities, and test infrastructure. Support vehicle integration, test planning, readiness reviews, procedure development, and the verification of AIT and GSE systems. Track system-level issues, interface actions, assumptions, and dependencies through to resolution in collaboration with the relevant technical teams. What we're looking for A degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may also be relevant. Experience in systems engineering, AIT, integration, test engineering, GSE, or another complex hardware-development environment. Experience defining requirements, managing interfaces, and producing clear technical documentation. An understanding of how flight hardware, ground equipment, tooling, facilities, software, and test operations interact. A structured and practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work from incomplete information and drive actions forward. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams. Desirable experience Launch vehicles, spacecraft, propulsion systems, defence systems, missiles, or other complex aerospace hardware. Designing or specifying GSE, test stands, fixtures, handling equipment, instrumentation, or data-acquisition systems. Electrical, mechanical, fluid, thermal, structural, or data-interface definition for integrated hardware systems. AIT campaigns, vehicle integration, launch operations, static-fire testing, or formal test-readiness processes. Model-based systems engineering, SysML, requirements-management tools, or interface-control documentation. CAD, PLM, Python, MATLAB, test automation, or other tools used to define, analyse, or verify integrated systems. Benefits and important information We offer top-decile compensation packages, bonuses, and meaningful equity. Every employee is awarded stock options in the company, so you will directly benefit from your own hard work and success. Comprehensive relocation support including flights, shipping, and visas. Lunch, dinner, and drinks provided every day. Free access to shared company housing. Please note, we are a fast-paced, hyper-scaling startup. You will need to be comfortable working extended hours with high levels of autonomy, ownership, and flexibility, with contracts structured around a 48-hour working week. Build the security foundations behind cutting-edge construction technology At XYZ Reality, we've created the world's first engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution for construction. Our product, The Atom, is used on major projects worldwide to bring designs to life on-site and help teams build more accurately, efficiently and with fewer mistakes. As a Series B business scaling across the UK, US and Europe, our technology – and the security environment supporting it – is becoming increasingly sophisticated. Our stack spans Kubernetes on Azure, mobile and embedded AR, REST APIs, real-time collaboration and AI-powered data pipelines. We already hold SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, but as our product, customers and use of AI continue to evolve, we now need dedicated security expertise within the business. We're looking for an experienced Senior Security & Compliance Engineer to take ownership of security across XYZ Reality and help build a security capability that can scale with us. The Role This is a critical hire and an opportunity to become our first dedicated security specialist, with genuine ownership and influence across the business. While we already have established compliance activity and SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, security responsibilities currently sit across different teams. We're now looking for someone who can bring that together, identify where we need to strengthen our approach and provide dedicated technical security leadership as we scale. This is first and foremost a technical security role. You'll sit within Engineering and work directly alongside the teams building our technology, participating in architecture discussions, development workflows and technical decision-making rather than operating as a separate security function reviewing work after the fact. You'll take ownership of security architecture across our technology stack, embed shift-left security practices into how we build, strengthen our cloud and application security, and ensure we remain ahead of both established and emerging threats. As our use of AI continues to develop, you'll also help us understand and respond to new AI-related security risks and attack vectors, ensuring our security approach evolves alongside our technology. Compliance remains an important part of the role. You'll help strengthen our SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 posture and support areas including GDPR, data residency and enterprise customer requirements. However, we're looking for someone who brings strong hands-on security expertise first, alongside the governance and compliance knowledge needed to operate effectively across both areas. You won't simply inherit a security playbook, you'll have the opportunity to help build one. The role is based in London on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, enabling you to work closely with our Engineering, Product and wider business teams. What You'll Be Doing Take ownership of security architecture and technical security across XYZ Reality's technology environment. Assess our current security posture, identify vulnerabilities and control gaps, and develop pragmatic remediation plans. Architect and strengthen security across our Azure cloud environment, including Kubernetes clusters, databases and data pipelines. Own and improve areas including IAM, zero-trust networking, secrets management, RBAC, pod security and encryption. Embed shift-left security into engineering workflows, integrating SAST, DAST, dependency scanning and SCA into our CI/CD pipelines. Partner directly with Engineering and Product teams on architectural decisions, technical trade-offs and secure-by-design development. Run threat-modelling exercises and support developers with secure coding practices across Node.js, React Native and C++ environments. Own vulnerability management, including triage, risk prioritisation, remediation tracking and incident response where required. Develop and improve the logging, monitoring and alerting capabilities needed to identify and respond to security threats. Assess emerging threats, including those associated with AI-enabled products, tooling and new attack methodologies, and ensure our security approach continues to evolve. Strengthen our SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 controls, identifying gaps and improving implementation where needed. Support compliance cycles including controls testing, evidence gathering and auditor coordination. Support GDPR and data residency requirements across our infrastructure and data pipelines. Engage with enterprise customers and prospects on XYZ Reality's security posture when required. Automate security controls and processes wherever possible rather than relying on manual intervention. Help establish the standards, tooling and operating model for a security capability that can scale with the business. What We're Looking For Demonstrable in-depth hands-on technical security experience, ideally spanning application, cloud and/or infrastructure security. Strong technical security capability and the confidence to own security decisions end-to-end rather than operating purely in an advisory or governance capacity. Strong cloud security experience, ideally Azure, although significant AWS or GCP expertise with the ability to transition quickly to Azure would also be considered. Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes/containerised environments, including IAM, RBAC, network segmentation, secrets management, image scanning and pod security. Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD environments, including SAST, DAST, SCA and dependency scanning. Experience with infrastructure-as-code security and technologies such as Terraform, Helm or GitOps. Understanding of application and API security, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS and secure development practices. Experience identifying vulnerabilities, assessing technical risk and driving remediation. Comfortable writing automation using Python, Go, Bash or similar to operationalise security controls. Practical experience working with SOC 2 Type II and/or ISO 27001, including identifying gaps and strengthening controls. Current knowledge of the evolving cybersecurity landscape and an interest in emerging threats, particularly those associated with AI. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate security requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A pragmatic, collaborative approach, you understand that great security enables engineering teams rather than creating unnecessary barriers. Experience building or scaling security capability within a high-growth or Series A/B technology business would be particularly valuable. You'll understand the balance between addressing today's risks and building security foundations capable of supporting where the business is heading next. Above all, we're looking for someone who is technically strong, curious and proactive, someone engineers want to work with, who can bring credibility to security conversations while remaining pragmatic about how we build and ship great technology. What You Could Be Working On From the outset, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact across areas including: Azure and Kubernetes security architecture Application and API security Secure software development and shift-left security Vulnerability management and incident response AI-related security and emerging threat management SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 maturity Security automation and CI/CD integration Enterprise customer security requirements Building XYZ Reality's longer-term security capability and roadmap Why Join Us 🔐 Become our first dedicated security hire and have genuine ownership over how security develops at XYZ Reality 🏠 Hybrid working from our London office 🏝️ 25 days annual leave + public holidays 🩺 Private healthcare with Vitality 🎄 Additional Christmas shutdown days 🪙 Biannual salary reviews 🥳 Summer & Christmas company events 🍣 Free Thursday lunch and after-work gatherings 💰 Employee referral scheme 🚲 Cycle to Work scheme If you're an experienced security engineer who wants more than maintaining an established security programme, and you're excited by the opportunity to build, influence and own security within a growing technology business, we'd love to hear from you. Celonis is the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI. At our core is the Celonis Context Model — which combines process data, business knowledge, and intelligence into a living digital twin of the enterprise that AI can actually understand, turning AI's operational blind spots into operational clarity. World's leading companies trust Celonis and its global ecosystem of partners to make their AI agents, people, systems, and processes work together, achieving transformational outcomes. We believe there's a massive opportunity to unlock global productivity and sustainability by giving AI the context to understand how every business process really works. Join our mission to make processes work for people, companies, and the planet. The Team Celonis Services is the delivery engine of our Celonis Customer Organization, responsible for turning the Celonis platform into measurable, business-critical outcomes for our customers. In the AI era, our role has elevated: as AI agents like our own Apollo take on more of the technical build, our people focus on the work that drives real impact—understanding our customers' business-critical problems, designing the solutions that solve them, and quantifying the value delivered. Our Lead / Principal Consultant - Data and AI, who we refer to internally as Deployment Engineers and Deployment Architects, pair deep domain and industry expertise with serious platform mastery and AI-augmented delivery, directing agentic systems while owning the judgment, architecture, and customer relationships that AI cannot replace. We deliver faster and smarter than ever, and we own the outcome: solution go-live, solution adoption, initial value realization support and the long-term success of our customers. The Role As a Lead / Principal Consultant - Data and AI (referred to internally as a Lead / Principal Deployment Engineer) you are the backbone of Celonis delivery. You lead the hands-on implementation of Celonis solutions for enterprise customers, combining platform expertise with AI-augmented workflows to deliver high-quality outcomes, fast. You use Celonis's AI deployment tools as your primary instruments - directing agents to build data models, generate analyses, and configure operational solutions, while applying your own judgment to validate outputs, adapt to customer context, and ensure business relevance. This is not a traditional consulting role where you build everything manually. You are an AI-augmented delivery professional: you specify what needs to be built, direct AI agents to execute wherever possible, validate the results, and iterate with the customer. You generate value by understanding the customer's business, translating their needs into technical specifications and solutions, and ensuring the platform delivers measurable impact. The Work You'll Do Initiate and Connect Conduct business discovery workshops to translate customers' strategic objectives into high-impact Celonis use cases Collaborate with the customer's IT and business stakeholders to define project scope, data requirements, and success criteria Ensure data connectivity and extraction pipelines are properly configured, working with specialist resources if required Build & Value Direct AI deployment agents (Apollo) to build data models, process analyses, KPIs, and dashboards - writing clear specifications and validating agent outputs against business requirements Build and configure Celonis solutions across the platform: Process Intelligence Graph, data transformations, process analysis, operational solutions, and AI-powered insights Identify process inefficiencies and root causes using Celonis technology, always in close collaboration with the customer Validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, business relevance, and alignment with customer context - applying domain knowledge where the AI cannot Lead value creation workshops and define measures to improve process inefficiencies Define and build KPIs measuring the customer's success and quantify business impact Design and build operational solutions to drive value, adoption and improve process conformance Rollout, Adoption, and Handover Enable key customer users to use and extend the solution independently, setting the foundation for long-term adoption Manage project outcomes against timelines, scope, and customer expectations Train and demonstrate to customer users, guiding them on the path to sustained value Document solution design decisions and configurations for future reference and handoff Domain & Industry Depth Develop and maintain deep expertise in one or more process domains (e.g., Supply Chain, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, IT Service Management) or industry verticals Translate domain knowledge into scalable solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices that the broader team can leverage Proactively identify and standardize high-value use cases within your domain, collaborating with Product and Business Apps teams to shape the platform roadmap What Makes This Role Different in the AI Era You work with AI agents as your primary tools - your job is to direct, validate, and refine their output, not to write every line of code or build every analysis manually You need strong specification and context engineering skills - the ability to translate a customer's ambiguous business need into a precise instruction that an AI agent can execute correctly You are expected to continuously learn and adapt as AI capabilities evolve, experimenting with new approaches and sharing what works with your peers You balance speed with quality - AI accelerates execution, but you own the judgment calls on whether the output is right for this customer You think in sustainable software solutions. While AI agents will generate first results quickly, you need to ensure that the operational solutions you build in Celonis are robust, user friendly, maintainable, and scalable The Qualifications You Need Experience: 7+ years minimum in Management or IT consulting, data/solution consulting, or process improvement consulting within software vendors, consulting firms, or system integrators. Platform skills: Ability to build and configure solutions on the Celonis platform, including data modeling, process analysis, KPI definition, and automation. Proficiency in PQL, SQL, and Python. AI fluency: Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.). Ability to write clear specifications, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and iterate effectively. Experience with prompt engineering or context engineering is a strong plus. Business and process domain expertise : Strong understanding /deep expertise (based on seniority level) of enterprise business processes and financial metrics. Knowledge of standard ERPs (SAP, Oracle) and process areas (Inventory Management, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounts Payable) is a strong plus. Consulting skills: Ability to steer customer workshops, present findings to management, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver outcomes in the face of adversity and ambiguity. Comfortable working with both technical and business audiences. Analytical mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with a value-driven orientation. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and quantify business impact. Learning agility: Willingness to continuously develop expertise through experimentation. Comfort with ambiguity and evolving tools. Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Technology Management, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field. Languages: Fluency in English and German required. Travel : Willingness to travel to customer location up to 50%, according to customer requirement and project delivery phases. What Celonis can offer you: Pioneer Innovation: Work with the global leader in Process Mining and the Process Intelligence Graph to shape the future of AI-driven business operations. Ownership from Day 1: Every full-time "Celonaut" is an owner, receiving Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and merit-based refresh grants. Unrivaled Family Support: Benefit from our inclusive parental leave policy—24 weeks of fully paid leave for primary carers and 12 weeks for supporting carers, available from your first day of employment. Work-Life Integration: Enjoy Unlimited PTO (in applicable regions) and generous PTO globally, as well as a flexible hybrid work model that balances remote focus with vibrant office collaboration. Continuous Growth: Elevate your skills through our 70-20-10 learning framework, mentorship programs, and access to a dedicated learning platform. Holistic Well-being: Prioritize your health with subsidized Wellhub memberships, mental health counseling, and dedicated "Wellness Weeks" that prioritize work/life balance. Drive Sustainability: Participate in annual Impact Days, where you receive paid time off to volunteer for community and environmental causes with your local office, or virtually. Global Inclusion & Belonging: Find community through our Inclusion Think Tank and participate in our annual Inclusion Days, ensuring every voice is heard and valued. Value-Driven Impact: Join a mission-led organization where our core values—Live for Customer Value, The Best Team Wins, We Own It, and Earth Is Our Future—drive every decision.
