Your mission At Wandelbots, we are building NOVA, a platform that makes industrial robot programming accessible to everyone. Our Simulation team develops the technologies that allow partners, customers, and internal teams to work with photorealistic digital twins of real production environments. This includes a pipeline that transforms real-world scans into usable 3D scenes through Gaussian Splatting, as well as a browser-based streaming platform built on NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim. Both technologies work today, but neither is yet operated as a product. Your mission is to change that. The first step is internal standardization. We want to replace individually maintained environments and hand-crafted deployments with one reproducible, documented solution that teams can use independently: scene in, session out, without requiring the Simulation team to operate every setup. The second step is external productization. The same capabilities need to be packaged so that partners and customers can operate them in their own environments. E.g. with versioned releases, stable interfaces, tenant isolation, diagnostics, upgrade paths, and documentation. You will join the Simulation team and focus on the infrastructure and operational foundations of these systems. You will not be building them in isolation: Wandelbots has an established infrastructure team responsible for shared infrastructure and platform capabilities. You will work closely with that team while owning the simulation-specific workloads, deployment patterns, and operational requirements. This is a hands-on engineering role with room to shape architecture and make technical decisions in collaboration with the teams involved. What you will work on Build and operate the GPU infrastructure required by our simulation workloads, including NVIDIA GPU Operator, device plugins, driver lifecycle, and GPU sharing through MIG or time slicing Work with the infrastructure team to integrate simulation workloads into our shared Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure Make deployments declarative and reproducible using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps, and help consolidate the tooling used across today's environments Own CI/CD and the container and image lifecycle for CUDA - and NGC -based workloads Design scheduling and autoscaling for two distinct workload profiles: latency-sensitive interactive streaming sessions and compute-intensive Gaussian Splatting jobs Turn the Gaussian Splatting pipeline into a reproducible workflow, from data capture and training to OpenUSD assets Operate and extend our Omniverse and Isaac Sim streaming platform, including Kit App Streaming, session lifecycle, and tenant isolation Establish the platform as an internal standard through self-service workflows, golden paths, templates, onboarding, and documentation Prepare the solution for operation by partners and customers through packaged deployments, versioned releases, upgrade paths, and actionable diagnostics Support deployments across cloud, on-premises, and partner-managed environments Build meaningful observability using metrics, logs, GPU telemetry, and actionable alerting Define the simulation-specific security and access model, including ingress, TURN and STUN for WebRTC, RBAC , secrets management, SSO , and tenant boundaries Work closely with our robotics, product, and platform teams to ensure that the solution supports real development and customer workflows Your profile We are looking for an engineer who is interested in how complex systems are built, deployed, and operated, not only in delivering the next application feature. You should bring: Experience building or operating production systems in platform engineering, infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or systems software Practical Kubernetes experience, including resource management, workload scheduling, and debugging distributed systems under load Experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD, together with the ability to evaluate tools based on the problem rather than a fixed preference Solid knowledge of Linux, containers, and networking Good Python skills for automation, services, and data-processing workflows Experience with GPU workloads, or a strong technical foundation and clear interest in working with drivers, CUDA , and GPU scheduling The ability to turn working technology into a system that other teams can use independently A strong sense of operational ownership, including documentation, diagnostics, maintainability, and reproducibility Very good English; German is a plus We do not expect candidates to have prior experience with every technology in this description. A strong systems foundation, the ability to learn unfamiliar components, and an interest in this problem space are more important than matching every item. The scope and responsibilities of the role will grow with your experience. Nice to have Experience turning an internally developed system into a product that can be operated in customer-controlled environments Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Kit SDK, or OpenUSD Experience with Gaussian Splatting, NeRF , photogrammetry, or comparable 3D reconstruction pipelines Knowledge of WebRTC, pixel streaming, or other low-latency video technologies Python, Rust, or Go skills sufficient to contribute to existing services and infrastructure tooling Experience with robotics or simulation, such as ROS 2 or sim-to-real workflows Experience with multi-tenant platforms, air-gapped deployments, or customer environments with specific security and compliance requirements Why us? Make an impact! Work on an innovative, deep tech product that adds value to the robotics world and to society! Become a crucial part of something new, big and exciting where you can truly make an impact! Our teams inspire! Cross-functional communication is key. You'll get to know many of your 100+ colleagues. Collaborate with great people on our international teams who value knowledge sharing and unique ways of doing things! Be authentic! Work in a value-driven environment where everything may not be perfect, but we're working on it! Your feedback is required while you receive feedback and appreciation for your work! Help others! You can have up to 3 days of volunteer time off to help your favorite charity. Develop yourself! We offer training and mental health opportunities so that you can develop both mentally and professionally. And there is even more! Enjoy our free lunch, snacks and drinks, team events, 30 days of annual vacation + additional rest during Christmas season until New Year. The product you will work on The HOLOPLOT Matrix Array is a new type of sound system built around precise, software-defined control of sound in three dimensions - grounded in physics and implemented through a combination of custom hardware and purpose-built software. HOLOPLOT deployed Matrix Arrays in various venues, including the Sphere in Las Vegas - the world's most advanced entertainment venue and, notably, home to the world's largest audio installation in entertainment. Audio processing in HOLOPLOT systems is distributed: every loudspeaker runs embedded Linux, and hundreds of them have to be configured, coordinated, monitored, and updated as one system. This is enabled by multiple open source and in-house developed services running on an on-premises Kubernetes cluster. AWS-hosted services connect venues to remote monitoring, telemetry, and configuration. Many venues are air-gapped or only intermittently connected for remote servicing, and that constraint shapes most of the design decisions in the platform. The ideal candidate is We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who builds the platform our sound systems run on, and who takes responsibility for how it behaves in production. This is a software engineering role first. You will spend your time writing software, either with your own team or embedded with one of the other HOLOPLOT teams: services, controllers, agents, and tooling that provision, configure, observe, and update our systems. Our infrastructure is defined as code and evolves through the same review and release process as the rest of our software. You design the operational side, you build it, and you are on call when it misbehaves in the field. Your role and responsibilities You will join the team that owns the platform underneath our installations and connected services, working alongside backend, embedded, and frontend engineers who are organized in cross-functional product teams. Build the platform Architect and implement services to provision, configure, and manage server fleets across AWS and local clusters. Create control-plane logic for venue systems to ensure consistency, health monitoring, rollout management, and recovery, even during uplink disruptions. Establish end-to-end provisioning workflows for embedded Linux hardware, spanning from initial manufacturing to customer deployment. Enhance update processes to streamline software deployments for active customer installations. Develop APIs and developer tooling that empower engineering teams to independently deploy, observe, and troubleshoot their services. Embed telemetry capabilities into the platform to facilitate remote diagnosis of venue system behavior . Run what you build Own the AWS infrastructure behind our connected services: remote access, access control, telemetry ingestion, remote backup, secret management, and monitoring. All of it is infrastructure as code. Operate and evolve the on-premises Kubernetes footprint at venues, including air-gapped and intermittently connected installations. Monitor large environments, investigate problems across the software/hardware boundary, and turn each incident into a fix in the code. Be part of a compensated on-call rotation Set the technical direction Advise and collaborate with product teams on building distributed systems that are scalable, secure, and observable, and review their designs with production reality in mind. Research and introduce tools and technologies where they measurably improve how we build and operate. Contribute back to the open-source projects we depend on, through issues and fixes. What you need to succeed in this role Several years of professional software engineering experience, most of it spent designing and shipping production systems. Fluency in software engineering as a craft: concurrency, error handling, testing, and designing APIs that other teams build on. Working knowledge of the Kubernetes control plane and the operator/controller pattern, including how clusters behave when they are unhealthy. Hands-on experience with AWS, and a firm belief in infrastructure as code. Terraform and Ansible are what we use today. Comfort across several languages, and the ability to pick up a new one when the problem calls for it. Our platform work is mostly Go and Python, with Rust and C++ elsewhere in the stack. Experience building distributed systems, and a clear understanding of how they fail: partitions, partial rollouts, clock skew, retries, and reconciliation. A good sense for software architecture and maintainability, and the habit of writing code that colleagues can pick up and change. A strong command of Linux, scripting, and automation. Experience instrumenting software for telemetry and using it to answer real questions about running systems. Good judgment about what to automate and what to leave alone. Strong communication skills in English. You can explain a design or a failure clearly to engineers, product stakeholders, and non-specialists. Willingness to take part in compensated on-call and weekend work when installations need it. A can-do mentality, an eye for detail, and the courage to take on problems outside your comfort zone. Experience in using AI for engineering. Nice to haves Experience with NATS, Prometheus/Thanos, or PostgreSQL in production. Experience with air-gapped or intermittently connected installations. Experience running Kubernetes in production, not only deploying to it. Experience with embedded Linux, device fleet management, or IoT security. Networking depth: multicast at scale, WireGuard, BGP, IPv6. Experience in the audio, broadcast, or live events industry. Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects We offer you At HOLOPLOT we work in a flexible hybrid setup with trust-based working hours, giving you the freedom to organise your day in a way that supports focus, deep work and balance. Pay is competitive and fair, and we offer perks and benefits such as subsidised public transport, lunch allowances, Urban Sports and a company pension scheme. You'll join an international, open-minded team across software, hardware, product and research, in an environment with plenty of autonomy and ownership. You'll work on cutting-edge audio technology, turn complex requirements into working solutions and contribute to global projects, with support for your growth through individual development plans, mentoring and coaching. ServiceCentral builds software for the device repair and reverse logistics industry ? point-of-sale, enterprise service management, and repair network tools used by 500+ customers across 100+ countries. Customers include national insurance carriers, OEM-authorised service providers, and franchise repair networks. We are looking for a senior software developer who has made AI a structural part of how they build software ? applying agentic systems, knowledge pipelines, and AI-connected tooling not as features, but as engineering fundamentals. This is not a role for someone who has added AI features to an app. We're looking for an experienced engineer who has restructured how software gets built ? using AI agents to automate development tasks, MCPs to connect AI systems to real tools and data, and knowledge repositories to give AI systems reliable, domain-specific grounding. Strong software architecture and system design are the baseline. AI tool mastery is the differentiator. This role sits at the intersection of both, and neither substitutes for the other. What You'll Do Build Software Using AI as the Primary Instrument Design, develop, and maintain production-grade SaaS applications using AI agents and tooling as first-class parts of your workflow, not bolt-ons. Use agentic systems to automate development tasks: scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, code review, documentation. Build and maintain MCP servers that connect AI systems to codebases, APIs, databases, and internal tools so AI assistants have reliable, scoped access to the context they need. Design and maintain knowledge repositories (vector databases, retrieval pipelines, embeddings) that give AI systems accurate, current, domain-specific grounding. Apply these tools across the full SDLC: from architecture drafting and requirements analysis through implementation, testing, and deployment. Architect Systems, Not Just Features Own architecture decisions end-to-end. Design service boundaries, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns with long-term maintainability in mind. Reason through tradeoffs explicitly and document them so others can understand the reasoning, not just the outcome. Design for observability, reliability, and failure from the start. Identify and address structural technical debt before it compounds. Build and Maintain SaaS Products Design, develop, and maintain scalable line-of-business SaaS applications.
