As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. About the role: Want to build the data foundation powering AI and self-serve analytics at scale? As part of Samsara's Marketing Data and Analytics (MDA) Engineering team, you will shape the technical roadmap alongside our BI and Data Science peers. This role is open to candidates residing in the US. You should apply if: You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact – helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely. Architect and own Samsara's marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks Gold Layer tables, and the core data models that power segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics. Design the semantic layers, data dictionaries, and structured documentation that enable self-serve BI and conversational analytics, partnering with the BI team to ensure core sales and marketing KPIs are built on trusted, well-modeled data. Translate ambiguous business questions from Marketing, Sales, and R&D into clear requirements and scalable solutions, working autonomously without dedicated PM support and influencing decisions with data and sound reasoning. Lead complex, cross-team initiatives end to end: stand up new data pipelines and integrations quickly, manage risk across interdependent teams, and own the reliability and data quality of what ships. Identify and automate manual workflows with AI across Marketing and GTM teams, taking ideas from concept to prototype to production and influencing org roadmaps. You have experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple and extensible design. You write high quality code that is easily understood and used by others. You are proficient at making significant changes in a large code base, and have developed a suite of tools and practices that enable you and your team to do so safely. You are proficient with AI-assisted development tools and apply sound judgment to validate their outputs.
