About Oceanus Oceanus Marine Technologies is building the operating platform for the modern maritime world. Global trade runs on ships, and we're redefining what's possible at sea by leveraging modern technology. We're a small, hands-on team based in El Segundo building full-stack systems that perform in real operating conditions across vessels, ports, and fleets. We focus on practical, deployable technology that brings safety oversight, automation, and coordination to complex maritime environments. About The Role We're looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to help build the interfaces powering intelligent, connected maritime operations. You will work hands-on to design and implement operator-facing web applications that visualize live vessel telemetry, sensor data, and mission-critical alerts across edge and cloud systems. In this role, you will be responsible for turning complex maritime data into intuitive, high-performance dashboards that provide vessel operators with real-time situational awareness. You'll thrive if you enjoy the challenge of high-density data visualization, low-latency state management, and building dependable production systems that perform in high-stakes operational environments. Director Marketing (all genders) - GPORTAL (Ociris GmbH)
Full TimeFully RemoteDirector
graphic designsocial media marketingonboarding

Your creative field At GPORTAL , our vision is to build individual and easy-to-use online gaming experiences for the world. Driven by our "from gamer for gamer" passion, we've grown into one of the leading game server providers - offering more than just servers, unlike other hosting companies. For over 20 years, we've been bringing virtual worlds into people's homes with just a few clicks. Our mission: enabling experts and beginners alike to play their favourite games together with their friends. From Palworld and Enshrouded to Minecraft and Battlefield, we offer around 100 multiplayer games across every genre. GPORTAL is looking for a Director Marketing who is ready to take the wheel of our entire marketing department, performance marketing, social media, partner management, community management, and graphic design. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will be part of the core management team from day one, with the kind of ownership over people and KPIs you will not find in every gaming company. In your first six months, the priority is simple: keep the team running strong while you get a real feel for GPORTAL's business, our vision, and where we are headed. You will take full budget responsibility, from managing current spend and staying on top of marketing invoices to building the annual forecast. You will also size up the market to derive strategic conclusions on where we push next. From there, you settle in as a driving force in our management team and sharpen how the marketing department works so it is well set up for the future. That includes working hand in hand with our tech teams on product-related topics such as checkout flows or game updates and launches. You also take full responsibility for onboarding, managing, and offboarding our external agencies and freelancers. On top of that, you build real connections with the marketing team over at Contabo Group to create synergies wherever possible. Just as important: brand visibility and closeness to the community. GPORTAL is a love brand to its players, and that needs to show up in the social channels and communication tools where our community actually lives. Alongside that, you own our marketing campaigns with partner studios and the big moments like Black Friday. Last but not least, you advise our CEO directly on D2C pricing based on comprehensive market assessments, both the operative calls today and the strategic thinking further out. Longer term, you push the KPIs that matter and build retention measures that keep players around. You also shape a team structure that can scale with us. That also means preparing and presenting marketing reporting and KPIs at Group and shareholder level. And you run and assess customer surveys, turning what you learn into decisions we actually act on. Gaming is a volatile business, and the classic playbook does not always deliver a straight line to growth. We are all pulling for the same outcome for the wider group, which sometimes means short-term compromises we make together. In practice, that also means staying flexible and genuinely meeting people face to face rather than just online. What convinces us Ideally, you would have: a strong, hands-on track record leading holistic marketing departments, from performance marketing to social, community, and creative, backed by solid marketing controlling, budget management, and core KPI skills real performance marketing experience, paired with the ability to genuinely inspire a team toward a shared goal some background in IT or hosting, plus experience working with external agencies and freelancers gaming industry exposure is a nice-to-have, though a genuine feel for gaming culture matters just as much as the industry on your CV some exposure to influencer management or social media marketing, and enough confidence to step into a thought-leader role in the market when needed strong communication skills and a knack for handling conflict head-on, with a strategic, analytical mindset that connects campaigns to business outcomes a proactive, hands-on, reliable way of working, comfortable holding yourself to a high bar under pressure an open, global, adaptable mindset with genuine passion for the product and enough flexibility to compromise when the business needs it fluent German and English If this job offer has sparked your interest, please do reach out to us, even if you only meet some of the requirements. About the role You own the Arcade Design System - the structural layer every product team at DevRev builds on. You'll define how components behave across contexts, how tokens translate intent into implementation, and how a growing design team contributes to a coherent system without fragmenting it. This isn't component art; it's the architecture that makes an entire platform feel like one mind designed it. What you'll do Own Arcade components end-to-end - from Figma source of truth through token architecture to production, ensuring the gap between spec and shipped product is negligible. Define and maintain the token system (color, spacing, elevation, typography) - making architectural decisions about naming, hierarchy, and semantic structure that scale across themes and modes. Drive Figma library governance - versioning, contribution models, and release cadence so product designers always work from a single, trustworthy source. Collaborate directly with engineers on component APIs, prop contracts, and migration paths. You think in implementation terms. Turn recurring questions into documentation or patterns rather than ad-hoc fixes. Make self-service the default. When three teams solve the same problem differently, propose the unified pattern. Mentor L1-L3 designers on systems thinking through workshops, education sessions, and structured critique. What you'll bring 5-8 years of product design experience, with significant time in design systems, component libraries, or platform/infrastructure design. Expert Figma skills - advanced component architecture, variants, variables, and library management at scale. Design engineering sensibility: comfort with design tokens, CSS custom properties, and component APIs (React or equivalent). You can review a prop contract as naturally as a Figma frame. Deep understanding of token architecture - not just using tokens but defining hierarchies, naming conventions, and semantic structures that hold across themes, modes, and platforms. Experience working embedded with engineering on component migration, API design, or design-to-code pipelines. Demonstrated ability to own outcomes, not outputs - you can point to a migration you drove, an adoption metric you moved, or a systemic problem you resolved permanently. Who you are When you see inconsistency across the product, it's a structural problem you feel compelled to solve. Before adding a token tier or component variant, you can name every context it will appear in and every team it will affect. Before finishing any component, you've considered its prop contract, token dependencies, Figma structure, and migration path as one coherent decision. You treat the design system as a product and its users as your customers. When a designer is stuck, your instinct is to help them succeed - not to gatekeep correctness. You earn adoption through empathy, responsiveness, and genuine care for the people building on your work. The system's success is measured by the confidence others feel using it, and that confidence starts with you. You don't optimize for comfort - you optimize for the platform, even when that means reworking your own earlier decisions as the system evolves.
