Define success metrics up front, track ROI and engagement, and use those insights to continuously improve portfolio decisions. Risk management: Anticipate what can go wrong before it does. Build contingency plans so the team is never caught off guard — whether it's a last-minute venue change or an on-site logistics challenge. What You Bring Proven Expertise: 10+ years in B2B event marketing with a focus on third-party conference and tradeshow programs, including a track record of owning sponsorship portfolios from strategy through measurement. Executive presence: Comfortable presenting sponsorship strategy and investment rationale to senior leadership, and skilled at translating vision into detailed execution plans. Sales partnership DNA: You understand pipeline, know how conference presence connects to revenue, and have worked closely with field sales and SDR teams to create and accelerate opportunities at events. Operational excellence: The organizational habits, vendor management expertise, and budget discipline to run a complex multi-event calendar without things falling through the cracks. Data fluency: You evaluate sponsorship tiers objectively, define ROI criteria upfront, and use post-event findings to make smarter portfolio investments each cycle. Operations Operations is the backbone of Brex's mission to power businesses through our Intelligent Finance Platform. We own credit, fraud, money movement, and payments, protecting our customers and our company. From product operations that ensure flawless launches to scalable systems that drive innovation and precision, we operate at the intersection of product, design, engineering, and customer success. If you want to work at the heart of the business, Operations is where you belong. What You'll Do Account Servicing owns what happens to a Brex account after it's live: money applied against statement balances, billing terms changed, auto-pay kept working, points debited and granted, credit performance reported to the bureaus, and accounts closed cleanly. We're hiring a manager to run that portfolio. You'll inherit a team with deep subject-matter expertise in specific queues, a set of in-flight migrations from other teams, and a real automation opportunity across the highest-volume work. The mandate is to hold the SLA and accuracy bar while systematically shrinking the manual surface area in a quickly growing environment. Payment application and wires. Wires applied against statement balances, including unmatched, partial, and misapplied payments. Support the expansion of wire coverage as we open up new corridors and use cases. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work! Responsibilities: Coach, and develop a team of servicing specialists. Where a queue currently depends on one person's expertise, build redundancy so it doesn't. Set and defend SLAs, quality bars, and capacity models across workflows that behave very differently from one another. Define your own operational reporting cadences and measures to make staffing and prioritization decisions. Write and maintain the SOPs, QA sampling, and maker-checker controls that keep financial adjustments accurate and auditable. Be the escalation path for high-dollar, time-critical, and legally sensitive cases, working directly with Legal, Compliance, Collections, Treasury, Finance, Deal Desk, and CX. Own the automation roadmap for the team: find the candidates, quantify the case, spec the requirements, validate the before-and-after, and hold the line on the edge cases that automation tends to break on. Requirements 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations, including 2+ years managing people directly; hiring, performance management, and development. Hands-on ownership of a servicing, billing, payment, or credit operations queue where errors move real money, plus the controls experience that comes with it: reconciliation, QA sampling, maker-checker review, audit trails. A track record of process improvement you can quantify. You've taken a manual, high-touch workflow and measurably reduced handle time, backlog, or error rate. Experience being the operational counterpart to Product and Engineering: writing requirements, aligning on priority, testing builds, and catching what the spec missed. Data fluency. You can pull, build, and defend your own numbers in SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tooling. Sound judgment under ambiguity and the discipline to escalate the right things. This team handles legal closures, bureau disputes, and balance adjustments where the wrong call has financial or regulatory consequences. Strong written communication. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work! Be the escalation path for high-dollar, time-critical, and legally sensitive cases, working directly with Legal, Compliance, Collections, Treasury, Finance, Deal Desk, and CX. SOPs, escalation summaries, and cross-functional updates are a meaningful share of the work. A well-defined point of view on where AI can and should be applied in scaled operations Bonus points Direct credit bureau furnisher experience: Metro 2 reporting, e-OSCAR, FCRA dispute handling, or data quality remediation. Commercial card, charge card, or business lending servicing background, as distinct from consumer. Working knowledge of wire and ACH (push and pull) mechanics, exception handling, return codes, micro-deposit verification, misapplied payment research. Rewards or loyalty operations experience, especially points liability, audits, true-ups, and clawbacks. Experience configuring a company as a vendor or payee in AP and procurement platforms ( bill.com , Tipalti, Coupa, etc.). Experience absorbing workflows from another team without an SLA dip. Familiarity with support and ops tooling (Salesforce, Retool) and low-code workflow automation (Retool, Zapier, Backoffice Compensation The expected salary range for this role is $119,328 - $149,160. Who We Are At Firestorm, we are building the future of expeditionary defense manufacturing and autonomous systems. Modern conflict has exposed a fundamental problem: the systems needed most by operators are often too expensive, too slow to produce, and too difficult to sustain at scale. Firestorm exists to change that. We develop mission-adaptable aerial systems and deployable manufacturing infrastructure designed to put capability directly into the hands of the warfighter. From modular unmanned aircraft to xCell — our deployable microfactory — our goal is to make defense systems rapidly deployable, adaptable, and producible at the point of need. We are looking for builders, operators, and problem-solvers who want to work on meaningful technology with real-world impact. About The Role Firestorm builds uncrewed aircraft and the manufacturing network that produces them: full-capability plants, deployable xCell edge factories, and forward-deployed sites that stand up production near the point of need. Crucible is the software that runs that network. It runs in the cloud, inside a factory, and air-gapped in classified environments. At the edge, Crucible has to operate reliably on local compute, connect to factory equipment, and keep working when cloud infrastructure and internet connectivity are unavailable. We are hiring a true Full Stack Engineer with experience building manufacturing, supply chain, or production software. You will build Crucible features across MES, MRP, production planning, inventory, and supply chain workflows. Crucible is early enough that you won't just implement these capabilities — you'll help define how they should work for a manufacturing network spanning full-scale factories, xCells in the field, and forward deployed production lines This is a hands-on full-stack role. You will work directly with manufacturing, supply chain, product, and software to take operational problems from the factory floor through design and into production software. What You'll Do Build manufacturing software end-to-end — Own features across the data model, API, frontend, tests, and rollout. Design production workflows — Build capabilities around work orders, routings, BOMs, inventory, material availability, capacity, scheduling, and production state. Bring domain experience into the product — Help determine how Crucible should model and solve manufacturing and supply chain problems based on systems you have built or operated before. Build for operators — Develop React interfaces for technicians, planners, supervisors, engineers, and other users working directly in production. Own the data model — Design and evolve relational models that represent manufacturing state accurately and maintain data integrity as the product grows. Work directly with the factory — Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to understand current processes, identify gaps, and turn them into durable product capabilities. Raise the engineering bar — Contribute to architecture, code review, testing, and development practices across the Crucible team. Required Qualifications 5+ years building and shipping full-stack software, with a track record of success U.S. person required due to ITAR regulations Experience building MES, MRP/ERP, production planning, supply chain, inventory, PLM, or other manufacturing software Strong understanding of manufacturing and production operations gained through building or operating software in the domain Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and modern backend development Strong relational data modeling and SQL fundamentals Experience taking complex operational workflows from problem definition through shipped software Strong written and verbal communication across engineering and operational teams Preferred Qualifications Experience building or extending MES, MRP, APS, ERP, PLM, or supply chain planning products Aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device, or other complex manufacturing experience Experience working directly with operators and manufacturing teams on the factory floor Aerospace, defense, robotics, industrial automation, or manufacturing experience Work Environment This role is based in San Diego, CA. We welcome candidates who are local or open to relocating; relocation assistance is available and may be included in the offer package where appropriate. Compensation US Salary Range: $150,000 – $220,000 USD The posted salary range reflects an estimate based on a variety of compensation factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, certifications, specialized skills, geographic location, and business needs.
