About THG Ingenuity THG Ingenuity is a fully integrated digital commerce ecosystem, designed to power brands without limits. Our global end-to-end tech platform is comprised of three products: THG Commerce, THG Studios, THG Fulfilment. Each represents a single, unified solution, overcoming challenges and taking brands direct-to-consumer. Our client portfolio includes globally recognised brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Elemis, Homebase, and Proctor & Gamble. About the Role: The Senior Ecommerce Manager is a blended leadership role, combining trading expertise with marketing channel strategy to drive holistic ecommerce performance across a client account or vertical. You will be the primary commercial and strategic owner for your accounts – taking full accountability for both site trading performance and the quality of marketing execution across all digital channels. You'll define what success looks like for your accounts, build the plans to get there, and lead your team through delivery. You'll own the performance and strategic narrative, drive trading and marketing strategy, and bring the commercial judgement to know when to hold course and when to change it - while staying close enough to execution to maintain standards and momentum. Acting as the bridge between the Ecommerce Manager layer and the Head of Ecommerce, this is a senior individual contributor role with team management responsibilities. You'll bring equal capability across trading (conversion, AOV, promotional planning) and marketing (paid and organic channel strategy), using data and insight to continuously push performance forward. Key Responsibilities: Trading & Site Performance Lead the trading strategy for your accounts, with ownership of KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, AOV, COS, and ROAS. Oversee and drive the promotional calendar for key events, seasonal campaigns, and brand activations - sharing insight across channels for joined-up planning. Use THG's reporting platform, GA4 and third-party analytics tools to analyse customer behaviour, identify opportunities, and optimise conversion funnels. Conduct regular competitor pricing, product, and promotional analysis to keep clients ahead of the market. Ensure site content is current and commercially optimised - banners, offers, product pages, category navigation - in line with the trading plan. Monitor and react to key site metrics including bounce rate, exit rates, new vs. returning traffic, and customer acquisition costs. Own the end-to-end customer journey on site - identifying friction points, supporting CRO testing programmes, and working with UX, creative, and tech teams to improve conversion at every stage of the funnel. Stay close to platform development and new feature releases, proactively identifying and championing enhancements that can drive commercial performance - from promotional mechanics and personalisation tools to checkout optimisation and site speed improvements. Marketing & Channel Leadership Act as the central leadership point of contact across all marketing channels - SEO, PPC, Paid Social, CRM, Affiliates, and Influencers - briefing channel teams and ensuring overarching strategy alignment. Create in-depth performance forecasts to inform channel budgets and be responsible for owning the overall optimisation and allocation of spend based on live performance data. Manage and continuously optimise marketing budgets, balancing promotional investment with COS reduction targets. Drive new customer acquisition strategies alongside CLV maximisation through retention, loyalty, and lifecycle marketing. Partner with creative, brand, and data science teams to deliver high-quality campaign assets and customer insights. Leverage CRM and email platforms (e.g. THG Personify or 3 rd party equivalent) to support segmentation, personalisation and retention strategies. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the senior point of contact for your clients, building trusted, long-term commercial relationships. Lead the preparation and delivery of QBRs and monthly reviews — translating data into compelling performance narratives and actionable recommendations. Manage internal and external expectations, balancing client ambition with operational capacity. Relay client priorities to internal teams clearly, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Team Leadership & Development Manage and develop a team of Ecommerce Managers and Executives, supporting day-to-day performance and longer-term career growth. Coach the team on trading best practices, marketing channel effectiveness, and data-led decision making. Drive consistent quality of execution across accounts, ensuring the team operates to a high standard. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with category, brand, data science, and operations teams to identify and unlock growth opportunities. Support the onboarding of new clients and help new channel teams integrate into existing account workflows. Share market insight and best practices across the wider ecommerce team. What We're Looking For: Significant ecommerce experience spanning both trading and digital marketing - ideally within an agency, retailer, or managed services environment. Proven track record of driving measurable growth across site performance KPIs and marketing channels. P&L and budget management experience at account or channel level. Strong analytical mindset - able to interpret complex data, identify actionable insights, and communicate findings clearly. Confident presenting to senior clients and internal stakeholders, with the ability to build compelling performance narratives. Proven experience leading, managing, and developing a team. Commercially astute, self-motivated, and energised by a high-pace, high-accountability environment. Excellent communicator with proven experience managing client or stakeholder relationships. Natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is desirable. THG Ingenuity is proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer. Mission of this Role The Strategy Manager is the senior operational layer of Foundation's strategy practice. This role exists to own client relationships at the oversight level, develop the strategists beneath them, and free VP-level leadership to operate on business growth, team architecture, and company direction. The Strategy Manager is accountable for strategic quality across a $2M+ book of business, acts as the primary escalation point for their assigned accounts, and takes full ownership of the people leadership gap that currently sits between individual strategists and VP-level oversight. They are expected to hold positions, defend recommendations under pressure, and grow the capabilities of their team without waiting to be asked. Key Responsibilities Own the Client Oversight Relationship Serve as the senior point of contact for each account in your book, building and maintaining relationships with budget decision-makers and senior client stakeholders. Act as the primary escalation owner when strategic direction is challenged, client expectations are at risk, or a situation requires a more senior voice. Host strategy presentations, sell the direction, and hold your ground under pushback. Clients should feel they have a senior strategic partner, not just access to a team. Maintain a clear, current view of account health across your entire book, surfacing risks to the VP of Strategy before they become problems. Drive Strategic Quality Across Your Book Oversee GEO and content strategy execution across every account you own, ensuring work is aligned with the defined strategic direction and meeting client-specific KPIs. Provide meaningful oversight review on strategic deliverables including content plans, QBRs, and monthly reporting, identifying drift, outdated assumptions, or missed opportunities. Bring a GEO-first lens to every account. You should be fluent in generative and answer engine optimization, and it should show in how you review and elevate the work. Partner with Account Management on each shared client to ensure contracts, upselling, and cross-team coordination are handled cleanly and strategically. Lead and Develop the Team Manage 3-5 strategists with real accountability for their development, not just their output. Build meaningful PDPs, run structured 1:1s, and move people along the specialist-to-strategist path. Coach strategists on call confidence, client communication, and the ability to own and defend strategic positions. The most common development gap on this team is deference; your job is to close it. Score and review strategist client calls using the Foundation performance rubric, delivering specific, actionable feedback that names patterns and sets expectations. Develop team GEO capability. Ensure the strategists you lead can articulate and execute generative engine optimization with confidence, not just describe it. Flag performance concerns to the VP of Strategy early, with supporting evidence, rather than waiting for a formal review cycle. Support Revenue Growth and Account Expansion Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within your book and route them to Account Management with a clear strategic rationale. Participate in strategic sales conversations for new accounts where your subject matter expertise adds credibility and conversion value. Contribute to Foundation's GEO positioning by staying current on platform shifts, citation behavior, and AI-search trends, and by surfacing what matters to the wider team. You Might Be a Fit If You... Have moved past legacy SEO and actively build content and GEO strategies for generative and answer engine visibility, not as an add-on but as a core discipline. Are fluent in B2B and SaaS/tech client relationships

VML, part of WPP, supports WPP Enterprise Solutions by helping brands activate transformation through creativity and experience. Senior Social Commerce Strategist needed to join our Global Social Commerce Team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a commercially minded Senior Social Commerce Strategist to join our Global Social Commerce Team. This is a senior role for someone who thinks like an operator as much as a strategist: you will own the strategic and commercial thinking behind how some of the world's biggest brands build, launch, trade and scale on social – with TikTok Shop at the centre – and you will be accountable for the quality of that thinking in front of senior clients. You will translate client business objectives into social commerce strategies that hold up commercially: channel economics that work, forecasts that are defensible, measurement that proves incrementality, and operating models that can be exported market to market. You will be the connective tissue between strategy, creative, media, data and platform partners – and the person clients call when they need a point of view on where social commerce goes next. You will also lead people: line-managing a small team of strategists, setting the standard for the craft, and raising the commercial literacy of everyone around you. Depth across the social platforms and their commerce ecosystems – TikTok Shop above all, alongside Meta, YouTube and emerging AI-led discovery – is essential. What you'll be doing: Commercial strategy & value creation Channel Economics & Business Case: Build and own the commercial case for social commerce investment – channel P&L modelling, unit economics (COGS, commission, fulfilment, returns, promotional depth), contribution margin and payback – so recommendations are grounded in what actually makes money for the client. Trading & Forecasting: Set and pressure-test the numbers behind the plan: GMV, AOV, conversion, basket and attach rate, CAC, ROAS/MER and repeat rate. Build forecasts and scenario models across always-on trading, LIVE, affiliate and peak moments, and diagnose performance against them. Investment & Mix Strategy: Advise clients on where budget works hardest across paid, organic, affiliate/creator and platform tooling (GMV Max, Spark Ads, retail media), making the trade-offs explicit – including what to stop doing. Margin & Pricing Discipline: Protect client margin as volume scales – promotional architecture, discount dependency, bundling and pack strategy, and repeat-purchase mechanics. Strategic leadership Channel & Category Strategy: Develop social commerce strategies aligned to client business objectives and category dynamics – defining role of channel, audience and demand strategy, portfolio and SKU selection, and the route from discovery to conversion. Operating Model & Market Expansion: Design the operating model that makes the strategy deliverable – crawl/walk/run sequencing, roles and responsibilities across client, agency and platform partners, governance, and blueprints that export into new markets rather than being rebuilt each time. Launch & Commerce Readiness: Own the go-to-market gate: fulfilment and 3PL models, dispatch SLAs, customer service, returns and Shop Health – ensuring commercial ambition is matched by operational readiness. Paid & Organic Integration: Build strategies that unify paid, organic, creator and affiliate activity into a single commercial system rather than parallel channels with separate objectives. Content & Creator Strategy: Work with client editorial, creative and marketing teams to define content-to-cart strategies, creator and affiliate programmes (including commission architecture and creator economics), and LIVE formats that convert. Platform & Ecosystem Expertise: Maintain authoritative depth across TikTok Shop, Meta, YouTube and emerging social and AI-led commerce surfaces – including partner ecosystems, betas and platform roadmaps – and translate it into first-mover advantage for clients. Client & business leadership Senior Client Counsel: Act as trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders up to Marketing Director, Commercial Director and GM level – as credible in a commercial conversation as a creative one, and able to disagree well when the data says so. Scoping & Commercial Shaping of Work: Interrogate and shape briefs, define scope and approach, input into resourcing, estimates and statements of work, and ensure what we sell is what we can brilliantly deliver. Growth & New Business: Identify and shape opportunities to extend the work – new markets, brands and workstreams – and bring senior strategic firepower to pitches, RFPs and capability sessions. Presentation & Persuasion: Build and deliver arguments that land in the room – clear narrative, sharp commercial framing, and the confidence to present to senior executives and defend the recommendation. Thought Leadership: Develop points of view, frameworks and IP that position VML as the leading end-to-end social commerce partner, and represent the agency externally with clients, platforms and at industry events. Team & delivery leadership People Leadership: Line-manage and develop a small team of strategists – setting objectives, coaching, reviewing work, and raising the commercial literacy and craft standard across the team. Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead multi-discipline pods across creative, media, data, technology and delivery, ensuring social commerce strategy is integrated with the wider marketing and commerce agenda. Delivery Accountability: Lead projects end to end – on time, on budget and to the standard we want to be judged by – managing dependencies, risk and scope in a fast-moving environment. Client Location Work: Willingness to work at client locations and travel to key markets as the work requires. What we want from you: Substantial experience in social, digital or commerce strategy – typically 7+ years, with meaningful time spent on social commerce specifically, agency or brand side. Genuine commercial fluency: comfortable building and defending a channel P&L, unit economics and a forecast, and as confident in a model as in a deck. Demonstrable experience setting KPIs and being held to them – you have owned the performance of a channel or programme, not just the plan for it. Deep, current expertise across social platforms and their commerce ecosystems, with hands-on TikTok Shop experience (Seller Centre, Affiliate Centre, GMV Max, LIVE, Shop Health) strongly preferred, alongside Meta. Experience designing operating models and launching or scaling a social commerce programme, ideally across more than one market. Experience line-managing or formally mentoring strategists, and raising the standard of a team rather than only your own output. Track record with global brands and senior client stakeholders, leading workstreams independently and owning relationships at a senior level. Experience in consumer packaged goods or a related sector (personal care, household, food & beverage) is highly desirable – including the realities of regulatory constraints, retailer relationships, brand reputation and margin pressure. Strong measurement and analytical instincts: able to interrogate data, find the story, and be honest about what a number does and does not prove. Excellent presentation and written communication skills, making complex commercial and technical concepts land with non-specialist audiences. Proven ability to digest, interpret and respond to briefs at pace, and to bring structure to ambiguity. You are a hunter first, and pipeline generation is the core measure of this role.
