Software Engineer, Robot Autonomy, Intern
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythondockergitlinuxelectrical engineeringresearch+1

Our Mission At Laelaps AI, we believe robotics is entering a transformative decade, much like the arrival of the internet. Advances in AI, cloud computing, and hardware are reshaping what autonomous systems can do. Our mission is to build the intelligent software that powers physical security in the real world - enabling robots and sensors to handle dangerous and critical tasks that humans shouldn't have to. By engineering the orchestration layer for intelligent security, we aim to create a world that is safer, more secure, and more resilient. We're a strong founding team based in Zurich, backed by visionary investors and advisors. We are engineering the future of security today! The Role As a Software Engineer intern on Robot Autonomy, you'll work on the software that runs on our legged security robots: how they perceive their surroundings, know where they are, and move through real customer sites on patrol. You'll join the team that owns everything on the robot and take a well-scoped problem from first experiment to a result that runs on hardware. The role focuses on building software for the robot autonomy stack that runs in the field. We'll agree your focus area with you during the interview process, based on your strengths and the team's priorities, and we expect you to own it from day one. This role is hands-on. You'll work with real sensor data and field logs, test on physical robots, and see first-hand why a robot that works in the lab can still fail on a live site at night, in rain, or after the layout changes. What You'll Work On Build and improve components of the on-robot autonomy stack, such as perception, localisation and state estimation, or planning and navigation, depending on your background and the team's priorities. Integrate sensors such as lidar, cameras and IMU, and work with the data they produce in day, night and challenging weather. Reproduce issues from field deployments using logs and simulation, find the root cause, and help fix it at the right layer. Design repeatable tests and clear metrics that show whether a change holds up across routes, lighting, weather and site layouts. Test your work on physical robots, and join site visits to see how the system behaves in real operating conditions. Apply solid engineering practices: code review, version control, reproducible experiments and clear documentation. Who We're Looking For We're looking for a strong robotics student who wants to see their work run on real robots, not only in simulation. You don't need every item below, but you should meet the core requirements and bring depth in at least one area of the autonomy stack. You'll join a small team that moves fast, expects ownership, and holds work to the standard of running on live customer sites. Your Background Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD, or completed a Master's degree within the last year, in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Demonstrated depth in at least one of perception, localisation and state estimation, or motion planning and navigation, through a thesis, research or a substantial project. Strong coding skills in Python. Hands-on experience with ROS 2. Comfortable using Linux, Docker and Git in your workflows. Nice to Have Experience working with physical robots, ideally mobile or legged. Experience with lidar or camera processing, SLAM, or sensor fusion. Experience with robotics simulators such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo or MuJoCo. Publications or competition results in robotics (ICRA, IROS, RSS, CoRL). What We Offer Ownership: you are able to ship products and deliver project end-to-end. Mission: autonomous security that keeps people and critical sites safe, including in defence. Career path: a ground-floor seat with real runway. Prove your value and you will not have barriers to grow. Team: work directly with PhD-level co-founders in AI, Robotics, and Physics, alongside a strong (and fun) founding team. Compensation: Competitive equity/salary package Culture: International founding team that is serious about building but does not take itself too seriously. Find Jobs in Switzerland on Arbeitnow

Senior Product Manager
VividRemote (Fully Remote)25 days ago
Full TimeFully RemoteSenior
pythonsqlllmagilegitarchitecture+7

About The Role We're looking for a Senior Product Manager with real technical depth and an AI-first way of working . You'll own a product area end to end: finding problems worth solving, shaping the solution, taking it from 0 to 1 and growing it from there. You understand architecture, you've written code, you know how databases work, and you speak engineering fluently. Your main job is product. The technical depth is what lets you move faster and make better calls. AI isn't a feature we're adding. It's how we work and how we build. Expect roughly 70% product and 30% engineering, with full accountability for results. Your Mission Product direction: set the vision, strategy and roadmap for your area. Decide what to build, why, and how success is measured. 0-to-1 delivery: take new products and features from problem discovery to launch and iteration. Discovery and validation: work directly with users and data to understand real problems, not assumed ones. Run interviews, usability tests and experiments before committing to build. Metrics and outcomes: define, instrument and track the KPIs for your area. Use product analytics to find friction, prioritise the highest-impact work, and shut down what doesn't work. Engineering partnership: understand architectural trade-offs, review technical approaches and unblock decisions. Write specs engineers actually want to read: clear, technical and opinionated. AI and automation: find where LLMs and agents create real product value, build the case, and ship it. Fast prototyping: validate ideas with AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, agents), scripts, no-code, or whatever gets you to the answer quickest. Hands-on work: write queries, dig into data pipelines, spin up prototypes, and open a PR when it makes sense. Prioritisation: balance user impact, business value, effort and regulatory constraints, and work closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics and business owners to ship continuously. Your Profile 5+ years in product management or product engineering with strong technical involvement, and a track record of taking products from 0 to live use with real users. AI-native: you use LLMs, vibe coding and agents daily, and you've applied LLMs or agentic AI to real products. Strong in Python or a similar language, enough to build things yourself. Comfortable with SQL, git, databases and evaluating system architecture. Fluent in product analytics and research: you define metrics, read data yourself, and validate through interviews, usability testing and experiments. Strong grasp of UX. You can take a complex flow and make it simple. Experience shipping with Design and Engineering in an agile environment. Clear communicator in English and self-directed. You can explain technical decisions to non-technical people, write specs engineers respect, and don't wait to be told what matters. Nice to Have Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field. Experience in fintech or another regulated industry. Early-stage startup background. Hands-on LLM orchestration or prompt engineering. Background in software engineering, QA or product analytics. Why Join Vivid? We have a hybrid model in our Limassol and Berlin offices, or fully remote outside office locations. We support relocation to Cyprus (visa, package) when needed. AI-first culture – we use it every day, not just talk about it. Learning & development budget to support your professional growth. Fully paid vacation and sick leave. Sports compensation. Real growth prospects, significant responsibility, and the ability to make an immediate impact from day one. Compensation range Final compensation is determined individually, based on your experience, skills and the scope of the role, assessed against objective, gender-neutral criteria. About Vivid At Vivid, we're on a mission to change how businesses and individuals manage their money across Europe. For businesses, we build tools that actually make a difference: multi-IBAN accounts, high-yield savings, business cashback, team cards, and accounting integrations that save real time — all in one place. And for individuals, we offer a simple way to manage and grow your wealth: access to global stocks, ETFs and 150+ cryptocurrencies, cashback, and personalised financial insights. Our mission? Your success. Everyone deserves the chance to see their finances flourish, and we're dedicated to empowering our customers to make this a reality. Founded in 2019 in Berlin by Alexander Emeshev and Artem Iamanov, Vivid has quickly grown into one of Germany's top financial platforms for SMEs and private accounts. Since then, we've expanded rapidly across Europe, earning the trust of over 500,000 customers — and with over €200 million raised and a valuation of €775 million, we're just getting started. We're building Vivid as an AI-native organization — across every function, from product to compliance to operations. Automation handles a growing share of day-to-day execution. For us, this means our teams can focus on architecture, strategy, and high-impact decision-making. This changes how we work: less manual execution, more ownership in building systems that scale. We want to help define what AI-native looks like in a regulated financial environment — and we're looking for people who want to build that future with us. Find Jobs in France on Arbeitnow

In-house experience at a biotech or pharma company is a strong plus. Licensing: hands-on experience drafting and negotiating biotech or pharma licensing agreements yourself, not only coordinating external counsel. Deal knowledge: strong understanding of licensing mechanics and IP ownership in drug discovery (scope, exclusivity, financials, termination). Communication: excellent English drafting and negotiation skills, and you can explain legal points clearly to non-lawyers. Mindset: autonomous, pragmatic and eager to learn legal topics beyond your current expertise. Nice‑to‑Have In-house experience at a biotech, pharma or TechBio company, ideally a startup or lean legal team. Exposure to AI, data or technology platform agreements (data rights, model training, ownership of outputs). Experience building legal processes, templates or contract management from scratch. The backend at Letly is technically difficult on purpose as the operational realities of handling property and money are messy. But the foundations are already there: 10+ backend and AI services, a monorepo on the frontend, GitOps and Kubernetes on the infra side. You'd be building on solid ground rather than firefighting a fragile prototype — with a lot still to build. We've raised a $4m pre-seed and are a small, high-agency, engineering-oriented team, growing revenue at >100% month-over-month. We're hiring to facilitate this aggressive growth. Our stack Backend — a microservice architecture in NestJS and TypeScript, with Python and FastAPI for the AI agent services. Data — MongoDB Atlas and Redis. Event-driven — services coordinate over Pub/Sub rather than calling each other directly. Infra — Kubernetes on GCP (GKE), deployed via ArgoCD. Frontend — Angular in an Nx monorepo. How we build Small, well-factored services with clear boundaries. Tests are written alongside the code, not after it — they're what lets us move quickly without breaking things that handle money. Trunk-based CI/CD: you ship to production and own it, with observability and clean rollbacks. Lean frameworks, readable code. We work on a wide spectrum of technical challenges from money movement to operational logistics (scheduling, bookings, access) mediated over event-driven systems, to building around AI agents in production that are capable of executing autonomously under the hood. What we're looking for You've built and operated production backend systems that real users depended on. We care about the scope you've owned and how you owned it. First Class or high 2:1 (or international equivalent) in Computer Science or a relevant technical field. Fluency in at least one backend language and framework. You don't need to arrive fluent in our stack: we hire engineers who've built production systems with any robust framework — NestJS/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot, Go, Kotlin, C#/.NET or Ruby on Rails — and can ramp into TypeScript fast. System design: where a service boundary belongs, what a design trades away, how services coordinate — events, queues, retries that are safe to repeat — and how it holds up once it's live. Fundamentals: concurrency, HTTP and API design, auth, data modelling and transactions (document or relational), changing a live schema safely, and what happens when a call fails. Tests: you treat tests as part of shipping, you work comfortably in a shared trunk, and you can quickly understand a large codebase you didn't write. You use AI heavily and still know exactly what you shipped. Generated code has the same quality bar as what you wrote by hand: you can explain every line, you've thought about the constraints it has to bear, and you don't merge anything you couldn't have written yourself. How you work Hyper-focus on detail. These systems move money and manage assets; we have low tolerance for "mostly right". First-principles reasoning. You take a hard problem apart rather than reaching for the nearest familiar pattern. Communication clarity. You can explain a complex trade-off to another engineer, and to someone who doesn't write software — because here you'll have to do both. Ownership mentality. You own the outcome, not the ticket: start to production, without being chased. Collaborative. Teams change the world, not individuals. You make the next engineer better and faster. Adaptability. You do well in a fast-moving environment where requirements shift under you. Learning velocity. You pick up new paradigms quickly and don't need long to get productive in unfamiliar territory. Quality-obsessed. Not just the code — the tests, the docs, the handover, the thing you leave behind. Our process We aim to complete end-to-end in under a week. Screening — 30 minutes with the CEO Skills — 45 minutes with the CEO & CTO Problem solving — 60 minutes with the CTO Slope — 45 minutes with the CEO Offer — references and a decision in days Benefits On top of base salary, equity and annual bonus, you're also entitled to: Private health insurance Paid gym membership Three meals a day , in office Ubers home on late nights Compensation: £70K – £140K • Multiple Ranges Mid • £70K – £100K Senior • £90K – £140K Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

Senior AI Engineer
51DRemote - UK (Fully Remote)25 days ago
Full TimeFully RemoteSenior
pythonarchitecture

The role You'll be the senior engineer on our high value and complex builds, embedded inside client teams from week one. You own the architecture for agentic systems, data pipelines and integrations, ship them to production, and raise the standards of the engineering team around you. Projects typically start as a plan, followed by a proof of concept, expand into a beta, and are then shipped to production. You'll be involved across the full arc. Location: Remote (UK), with optional access to a number of London-based co-working spaces. What you'll do Take a build end to end: architecture, implementation, deployment and handover. Design production AI systems, agents, retrieval, evaluation and the data plumbing underneath them. Work alongside client engineering teams, and directly with Nick and Mark, with no layer in between. Mentor and support our AI and graduate engineers, sharing what you know as the team grows. What we look for Around 5+ years shipping production software, with real ownership of systems in the wild. Strong Python plus at least one typed language, and sound judgement on when to reach for which. Hands-on with LLMs and agents, plus cloud, data pipelines and good testing discipline. Comfortable client-facing, communicating clearly and understanding what clients need. An appetite for working in an inclusive team, alongside people whose backgrounds and lived experiences differ from your own. Who we are Fifty One Degrees is a UK AI and data consultancy, founded in 2023 by Nick and Mark who both built and sold their own companies. Prior to 51D, Nick Harding (CEO) founded and scaled the fintech Fluro to four million credit applications a year. Mark Somers (CPO) built 4most into the UK's largest independent credit risk consultancy. We embed practitioners in client teams and build the best solution that will drive for maximum client value. Strategy, governance and training are also key, but we stay and build rather than hand over a document and leave. We're a fast-growing startup and the client list is highly varied with clients across financial services, retail, property and PR (to name a few). This role is for a client-facing consultant that works as a software engineer. Coding ability is non-negotiable, but you'll spend time in front of clients as well as in an editor. A real part of what we do is AI enablement and strategy: helping client teams adopt AI tooling, redesigning how they work around it, and building the systems that make it stick. This means configuring and integrating as well as writing code from scratch. If you are looking for a role that's only heads-down engineering, this isn't it. If you want to see how AI actually lands inside a business and unlocks value, this is the role for you. How we work Small teams, real ownership, no layer of middle management between you and the client or the founders. You're trusted with real work from week one, combined with the right level of support. We pair, we share what we learn, and we're honest about what's working and what isn't. Our process Our typical hiring process usually consists of the following stages: Initial screening call Competency-based interview Technical assessment Note that we may add additional assessment stages if required. Additional note A career break or a non-linear route into engineering isn't a blocker here. We hire on what you can do now, not the shape of your CV, and we offer structured ramp-up and mentoring for anyone returning after time out. Senior Software Engineer Scope automates the data collection that's slowing down the physical world. Standards are vital for the safety of our infrastructure. Spending hours manually documenting them is not. Dave is an inspector. Today he's climbing through one of Europe's biggest chemical plants, looking for the corrosion that could shut the whole site down, with a notebook and pen in hand. Tomorrow, he'll spend even longer on the part of the job he hates: turning those scribbles into a report. We're building the best AI-native data collection layer for the 2 billion field workers like Dave. Scope radically simplifies how inspectors collect data in the field, make decisions, and produce reports. Along the way, we're building the world's largest dataset on the condition of the built world and the decisions experts make about it. It's a $2T market and we're just getting started, with ambitions. We have grown revenue 5x in the last year and on track to reach 10M ARR in 2026 . We work with 6 of the top 10 companies in the space. Our customers inspect facilities and products for companies including AstraZeneca and SpaceX . We've assembled a best-in-class team: acquired and future founders, people from institutions like Imperial, Carnegie Mellon and Oxford, and from firms like Goldman Sachs, Flexport and Amazon. Since launching from Entrepreneurs First in 2024, we've raised an oversubscribed $20m round led by Index Ventures , the firm behind Figma, Revolut and Wiz, with over 100 unicorns backed to date. About the role: You'll join a talented, flat structured engineering team where we are looking for forward deployed or product focused engineers where you will be at the front line of our key accounts. You will be running the rollout, building tools tailored for the client and own problems end to end . You will not be siloed so will work across the product, business, clients and won't be handed tickets and asked to stay in your lane. You'll talk to users, decide what matters, design the solution, ship it, and see whether it worked. We work in person five days a week from our sunny office in Farringdon. We believe being together helps us move faster and solve problems more effectively and it's also more fun! We're looking for people who want to help invent what inspection software should look like in a post AI world . What you'll do: Build the systems that takes voice notes, photos, videos and proactively finishes reports Engineer how we feed context to AI models: how to store, fetch and select standards, reports, media, user intention Evolve our workflow builder into self evolving software Design the architecture behind the product: how unstructured data flows through the system, how AI is integrated, how offline and online behaviour stay seamless, and how we keep the product simple as it becomes more powerful. Who you are: We believe great teams are made up of highly agentic managers of one. People who care more about shipping results than collecting badges. You should apply if you're deeply technical and enjoy building applications You have strong technical skills, ideally mobile applications or client focused. You have 5+ years of experience and have built up enough scar tissue to know which technical decisions matter. Expo / React Native experience a big plus Interview process: An initial call. A collaborative technical exercise with an engineer. An Interview with a cofounder - Jonny (CEO) or Jakob (CTO). Onsite Systems Design and Product Interview - Meeting more people on the team and getting a feel of what it would be like to work here. * Offer!
