Requirements: Experience independently leading complex technical programs across multiple teams, from planning through launch and operational handoff. Technical fluency to engage engineers on software systems, APIs, data flows, integrations, and implementation tradeoffs. Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities. Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager, Virtual Care to join our Product team. Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.   About the role: As a Senior Product Manager, you'll lead product development for Oscar Virtual Care (OVC), improving how members access care and how clinicians deliver it. Your work will span the experience before, during, and after a visit, from intake and scheduling to clinical documentation, treatment, and follow-up. Oscar brings together a health plan and its own care delivery organization, creating an opportunity to connect product decisions directly to the cost and quality of care. You'll work with clinical and business partners to identify where technology can help members get the care they need. This includes improving access to virtual care and health assessments, supporting effective clinical workflows, and reducing administrative work for care teams. You'll turn ambiguous problems into a clear product direction, align partners around priorities, and work with engineering, design, and data science to deliver and measure results. You will report into a Director, Product Management. Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $163,944.00 - $215,176.50 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.   Responsibilities: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Virtual Care. Prioritize investments based on their expected impact on affordability, clinical outcomes, member experience, and operating efficiency. Lead discovery with members, clinicians, and operations teams. Combine user research with data analysis to identify problems, challenge assumptions, and build a business case for product investments. Improve the member journey from finding and accessing care through the visit and follow-up. Reduce friction in intake and scheduling, improve visit completion, and help care teams share context and coordinate next steps. Build tools that help clinicians deliver high-quality care efficiently, including reviewing medical history, documenting encounters, addressing care gaps, and ordering appropriate tests and treatments. Evaluate opportunities for AI and automation to reduce administrative work while maintaining clinical quality. Define success metrics and measure the clinical, financial, and operational impact of product changes. Use findings to refine priorities and improve the experience after launch. Lead alignment across clinical, operations, engineering, design, and data science partners. Bring clear recommendations, work through competing needs and tradeoffs, and establish decisions that move the work forward. Own complex initiatives from problem definition through delivery. Write clear requirements, manage dependencies and risks, and resolve issues across teams with the autonomy expected of a Senior Product Manager. Invest in strengthening the talent on Oscar's product team, by developing more junior team members through mentorship. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: 6+ years of experience collaborating cross-functionally among engineers, designers, operations experts, and others in a Product Management or Product Management-adjacent role. 4+ years of experience in driving rigorous prioritization processes. 4+ years of experience with tech systems and understanding basic technology infrastructure such as backend services, database relationships, and leveraging database tools such as SQL. 2+ years of experience leading complex, cross-domain initiatives. 2+ years of experience root-causing ambiguous problems, building roadmaps towards a solution, and successfully executing against that roadmap. Bonus points 1+ years of experience building clinician-facing experiences.    This is an authentic Oscar Health job opportunity. At Oscar, being an Equal Opportunity Employer means more than upholding discrimination-free hiring practices. It means that we cultivate an environment where people can be their most authentic selves and find both belonging and support. We're on a mission to change health care -- an experience made whole by our unique backgrounds and perspectives. Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) plan participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements. Artificial Intelligence (AI): Our AI Guidelines outline the acceptable use of artificial intelligence for candidates and detail how we use AI to support our recruiting efforts. Reasonable Accommodation: Oscar applicants are considered solely based on their qualifications, without regard to applicant's disability or need for accommodation. Any Oscar applicant who requires reasonable accommodations during the application process should contact the Oscar Benefits Team (accommodations@hioscar.com) to make the need for an accommodation known.
