Forward Deployed AI Engineer Build end-to-end products on a solid data foundation, with AI as a force multiplier. Data Practice | Remote (Poland) | Senior About TechTorch At TechTorch , we're building the future of intelligent work. Our mission is to help companies design, build, and deploy AI agents that automate complex, real-world workflows — delivering reliability, measurable ROI, and massive efficiency gains. Here, you won't just be playing with prompts or running endless proofs of concept. You'll ship production-grade AI systems that solve real problems across industries. You'll join a hands-on, fast-moving, ownership-driven team that thrives on building quickly, iterating fast, and seeing results in days — not months. About the Practice TechTorch's Data Practice sits at the intersection of enterprise data and applied AI. We design and build AI-native systems that don't just analyze the past — they actively drive decisions. Our work spans data infrastructure and pipelines, intelligent automation, and full-stack AI applications across industries. We work the way the best client-delivery teams now operate: small teams, deep ownership, no hand-offs at boundaries. We take problems from a client whiteboard to production, and we let AI do the heavy lifting wherever it earns its place. The Role We're looking for an engineer who builds across the full stack and owns the data underneath it. You can sit in a client session, shape the architecture, design the data foundation, and ship the application that runs on top of it — without handing off at the boundaries. The work spans client delivery and internal accelerator development. You map the problem, structure the solution, and own the outcome from end to end. AI coding agents are central to how we build — not a novelty, but the daily layer that lets a small team cover a lot of ground. What You'll Do Own work end to end — from discovery and solution shaping through system design, build, and production deployment. Design and build the data foundation: data models, schema design, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and slowly changing dimensions (SCD) that hold up in production. Build full-stack applications on top of that foundation — Python/FastAPI services and Next.js frontends that make data and AI workflows usable. Use AI coding agents (Claude Code or equivalent) as a primary build accelerator to move from spec to working software quickly, without sacrificing judgment or quality. Design and build AI capabilities where they fit — RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-in-the-loop processing — and compose them via MCP servers, Skills, and Plugins. Orchestrate pipelines and automation with tools like Airflow, Dagster/Prefect, Celery, or Temporal — choosing the right tool for the job. Stand up and own CI/CD and cloud deployments on AWS and Azure. Translate ambiguous client requirements into clear designs and communicate trade-offs to both technical and business audiences. Contribute reusable accelerators and technical assets back to the Data Practice. Must Have We're looking for genuine production depth across data engineering and full-stack development — not surface familiarity with either. Data Engineering Foundation Data modeling and schema design — dimensional modeling, normalization trade-offs, and EDW/warehouse schema design you can defend. Hands-on data pipeline experience — ETL/ELT design across batch and incremental loads, built and maintained in production (not just SQL scripts on a schedule). Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and change-data handling — knows the patterns and when each applies. dbt Experience— modular SQL transformations, tests, documentation, and incremental strategies. Advanced SQL and at least one modern data platform in depth (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, or a comparable cloud warehouse/lakehouse). Data quality thinking — testing, validation, and lineage treated as first-class, not afterthoughts. Full-Stack AI Product Development Python as a primary language — services, automation, and data work alike. FastAPI — async REST API design, dependency injection, testing. A modern frontend, ideally Next.js — component architecture, SSR, state management, and real UX sensibility. PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, indexing. System design — can architect from a blank page: services, boundaries, trade-offs, and scale. AI-paired engineering — uses an agentic coding tool (Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable) as a genuine daily workflow accelerator, and can speak concretely to how. CI/CD and cloud deployment ownership on AWS or Azure, without heavy support. Ways of Working Comfortable in client-facing delivery — can represent TechTorch technically and translate between business and engineering. Customer-first mindset — anchors decisions in what the stakeholder is actually trying to accomplish, and can move fluidly between the engineer's view and the business owner's in the same conversation. End-to-end ownership instinct — takes a problem from discovery to production and owns the outcome, rather than passing it along at each handoff. Nice to Have Not required to apply — but these are the things that make a candidate stand out. Standout differentiator — Commercial data fluency: Experience evaluating how commercial data flows across CRM (ideally Salesforce) and ERP (ideally NetSuite) from opportunity to order to invoice, with the ability to diagnose, document, and resolve inconsistencies. Agentic AI depth — LangGraph or comparable: multi-agent coordination, tool use, memory, and state management. RAG engineering — retrieval strategies, vector stores, chunking, re-ranking, and evaluation. Experience in a consulting or client-delivery environment, or a forward-deployed / embedded engineering role. Workflow orchestration breadth across multiple tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Temporal, ADF, Databricks Workflows). Streaming data patterns — Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink. Vector databases — Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or pgvector. Experiment tracking — MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar. Contributions to open-source AI or data tooling, or to internal accelerators and frameworks. Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture exposure. You Might Be a Fit If... You're comfortable designing a data model in the morning and shipping a FastAPI + Next.js feature on top of it in the afternoon. You treat an AI coding agent as a force multiplier — you've genuinely changed how you build, not just turned on autocomplete. You can explain an SCD strategy to an engineer and a data-quality risk to a business stakeholder in the same conversation. You've shipped real things in production — not just demos or PoCs. You're opinionated about system and data design, and can back it up. What We Offer Fully remote — work from anywhere, globally. Semi-annual team offsites — we come together in person at least twice a year to connect, recharge, and do the work that's better face-to-face. High-autonomy, high-ownership work across the full arc of real client problems — not toy datasets or boxed-in tickets. A team that takes AI tooling seriously and expects you to use it, not just name-drop it. Access to the full modern data and AI stack — no one-tool shops. Room to grow toward data architecture, platform leadership, or AI engineering depth, depending on where you want to take it. Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
About Us Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally are using Hawk's powerful combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve the effectiveness of their AML compliance and fraud prevention by identifying more crime while maximizing efficiency by reducing false positives. With our solution, we are playing a vital role in the global fight against Money Laundering, Fraud, or the financing of terrorism. We offer a culture of mutual trust, support and passion – while providing individuals with opportunities to grow professionally and make a difference in the world. Your Mission As an Implementation Specialist at Hawk, your responsibility is to transform customer requirements into a functioning solution that helps them achieve their business objectives around transaction monitoring, customer screening and fraud detection, alongside cutting-edge AI technologies. You start with a signed contract and support the customer until go-live. This includes translating policies, regulatory obligations and risk factors into Hawk's setup, data mapping, workflow configuration, UAT support and ensuring that key project timelines and milestones are met. You support our customers in realising true value by detecting more financial crime, allowing investigators to focus on what matters instead of drowning in false positives, and adopting state-of-the-art AI technologies. Key Responsibilities Requirements and needs assessment: gather and analyse the customer's AML, fraud and screening requirements and advise on best-practice configuration. Configuration: translate policies, screening algorithms, regulatory requirements and risk factors into Hawk's setup, covering rules, screening, customer risk rating and workflows. Data mapping and integration: lead the technical deployment and integration with the customer's systems, via API or batch mechanisms. Testing and go-live: support the customer through testing, UAT and sign-off, troubleshoot issues, and support a successful transition to a production environment. Training and enablement: deliver training to the customer's teams from a functional as well as technical standpoint. Project management: plan and run the implementation from signature to go-live on time and within scope, with documentation and regular stakeholder updates, combining hands-on work with project leadership. Primary contact: be the first point of contact for implementation questions and issues. Collaboration and feedback: work closely with Customer Value Partners for a smooth implementation, and bring actionable customer feedback and gaps to Product, Development and Hawk's GTM organisation. Document every configuration decision and the reasoning behind it, so the setup holds up when the customer's auditor or regulator asks why a rule was set the way it was. Manage each implementation task and the implementation success as an outcome you own, as directed by our Customer Value Partner, resulting in activity completion and a go-live on the dates you committed to. Your Profile 6+ years in implementation consulting or solution consulting, with at least 3 of those years hands-on implementing AML, fraud or screening solutions. Subject matter expertise in AML and compliance. You are familiar with key typologies and patterns, the regulatory expectations behind them, and how monitoring programmes as well as AI get examined. You can confidently stand in front of an MLRO and discuss and defend a rule set. This is a must-have, not a nice-to-have. Hands-on data skills: SQL, APIs, CSV and JSON, and data modelling. You're familiar with standardised payment message formats, including SWIFT MT and ISO 20022, SEPA and card data. Integration literacy. You don't write production code, but you're at home with APIs, JSON payloads, SFTP configurations as well as SSO. Proven track record of taking complex implementations to go-live on time, ideally several in parallel, with banking customers or other financial institutions. Stakeholder alignment. You ensure that internal and external parties both have the information they need, keep them aligned and manage expectations. Able to explain complexity simply. Imagine data models for compliance leads, fraud typologies for data engineers. You do it clearly in writing and in the room, in fluent English. A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, finance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Bonus Business-fluent German, for working with our DACH customers. CAMS (or equivalent) certification, or time spent in a second-line compliance or MLRO team. Builds constructive relationships with customers and stays calm and under pressure Builder mentality: works independently and brings structure to ambiguity where no established process exists, taking the initiative to define one. Is a resourceful problem-solver who investigates unknowns and tests system behaviour. Knows when and whom to escalate. Manages expectations proactively. Flags timeline and scope risks early, quantifies them, offers phased options and aligns Sales and Customer Success. Handles product gaps transparently. Clarifies the underlying (regulatory) requirement, offers workarounds with their trade-offs, feeds back to Product and doesn't commit to unconfirmed dates . You use AI tools such as Claude in your daily workflow to speed up mapping, documentation and analysis, and you have opinions about where they help and where they don't. Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe! Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy. We create the technology that redefines utilities and unlocks a new energy system of the future. By optimising renewable generation, building a more intelligent grid, and empowering utilities to deliver an exceptional customer experience, our operating system is transforming the industry worldwide. It's an incredibly exciting time to work in energy. Join us on our mission to improve the lives of ONE BILLION humans within the decade and shape a cleaner, better future for everyone. Platform Support Engineering is a new team within Kraken's Platform department. It will be the primary contact point for most day-to-day engineering interactions between the company's 2,000 staff and the 120 engineers in the Platform department. The team will handle a high volume of tickets each month, supporting the business across a myriad of clients in the EU, North America, and Australia-Pacific regions on a 24/5 basis. This role sits in the middle of that function, owning investigations end-to-end and beginning to shape the team's tooling and processes. You'll work with enough independence to own complex investigations, and close enough to the platform to keep developing your technical depth. What you'll do Act as the primary contact point for platform-related requests and non-critical incidents from engineers, Technical Account Managers, and Client Delivery Leads Triage incoming tickets and alerts, gathering context and reproducing issues where possible Monitor platform alerting channels and respond to non-critical alerts in line with defined processes Resolve routine platform requests (access, configuration changes, environment queries, etc.) Escalate complex technical issues to the relevant Platform Engineering teams for investigation and resolution, capturing their input and formalising it into runbooks for future use Escalate to Senior Platform Support Engineers or the Platform Support Lead where pushback or seniority is required Communicate clearly across a range of technical and non-technical audiences, translating between the two where needed Identify recurring problems and flag opportunities to improve tooling, automation or documentation Maintain and improve runbooks, FAQs and internal documentation Work closely with Platform Engineers to build your understanding of how the platform is built and operated Take ownership of ticket investigations end-to-end, including identifying when to escalate severity without prompting Proactively flag risks and scope changes to stakeholders before they become problems Identify and close gaps in team documentation without being asked Begin contributing to tooling and automation improvements: scoped, well-defined pieces that reduce toil or improve the support workflow What you'll need Hands-on experience with at least one of: AWS (console + CLI), Kubernetes (kubectl, real triage experience), Terraform (reading plans, running applies) Comfortable triaging platform issues independently, knowing what to look for without being told and able to investigate before escalating Experience communicating technical problems and resolutions to non-technical stakeholders Can engage confidently in technical conversations with Platform Engineers when investigating complex issues, contributing context and understanding the response Proactively flags risks and scope changes to stakeholders before they become problems Able to identify gaps in documentation and close them, not just follow what exists It would be great if you had Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog or similar), using it to understand system behaviour, not just confirm alerts Experience in a support, SRE, or platform ops role in a high-scale environment Experience with GitOps workflows, understanding how infrastructure changes flow from code to production Familiarity with incident management tooling (PagerDuty, incident.io , Rootly, or similar), not just receiving alerts but owning the response flow Exposure to a client-facing or stakeholder-heavy environment (TAMs, CDLs, or similar non-engineering audiences) Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar, enough to automate a repetitive task or parse logs efficiently What success looks like in this role You're comfortable with ambiguity. Platform Support sits at the intersection of engineering, clients, and product. Not every ticket has a clean answer. The people who do well here move through uncertainty rather than waiting for it to resolve. You communicate before you're asked to. Stakeholders (engineers, TAMs, CDLs) care most about knowing what's happening. Proactive, accurate updates matter more than perfect resolutions. You treat runbooks as a floor, not a ceiling. Following a runbook is the starting point. Finding the gap in it, fixing it, and making the next person's job easier is the standard we're aiming for. You escalate with context, not just symptoms. When something needs to go up the chain, it goes up with a clear problem statement, what's been tried, and what's needed. You don't just hand off the stress. Are you ready for a career with us? We want to ensure you have the right tools and environment to unleash your potential. If you have any accommodation requests, please contact us at ----- We'll do our best to tailor the experience to your needs so you can feel comfortable, confident and be at your best! Studies have shown that some groups of people, like women, are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet 100% of the job requirements. Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we're looking for! At Kraken, we're creating a team of genuine, honest, empathetic people. Our people are our strongest asset and the unique skills and perspectives people bring to the team are the driving force of our success. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute.
