Our Global Structure Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we're unlocking new possibilities as one global team. Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Product team defines how millions of people experience Deliveroo, turning complex marketplace challenges into simple, high-impact solutions. Working at the intersection of data, design and engineering, we set direction, prioritise what matters most, and deliver outcomes that move the business forward. We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our Ventures team in London. You'll be the senior design voice on an early-stage product, taking it from first concept to a test-market launch and shaping it for global scale. About Ventures Ventures is DoorDash's internal incubator, where we build the next generation of businesses adjacent to our core. We fund small teams with a strong sense of ownership and grow the investment as they hit clear milestones. Early on, teams build a Minimum Lovable Product and prove product-market fit in a single country. Successful initiatives graduate to new resources and new markets, with the chance to become the next billion-euro businesses at DoorDash. Ventures teams are scrappy and ambitious, chase goals that almost feel too ambitious, and thrive on a startup mentality and a high tolerance for ambiguity. We're now placing bigger and more diverse bets than ever, and we need people with equal ambition and drive to build and scale, or sunset, some of our biggest experiments yet. We're building Luma, a Scientific Intelligence Platform for life sciences and materials science. Lab Orchestration and automation are core to our Molecule to Market story, and they connect directly to the strengths of Siemens in industrial automation. You will shape where we play, who we sell to, how we position, and how we win. How you'll spend your time Customer engagements: meeting automation leaders, scientists, and engineers, joining pursuits, and bringing what you hear back to the business Market analysis: sizing segments, tracking competitors and automation vendors, and spotting trends early Sales enablement: giving teams across regions the talk tracks, battlecards, demo narratives, and proof points to win Solution marketing: partnering with the Siemens Solution Marketing team on content, campaigns, events, and messaging for the lab automation audience Thought leadership: working with industry thought leaders, inside and outside Siemens, to shape the conversation on self driving labs and the future of the automated lab Adoption and AI use cases: identifying, proving, and spreading the use cases that get labs running on Luma and putting AI to work on automated workflows and data Partner and ecosystem engagement: working with instrument makers, robotics providers, and integrators so our joint story is clear to customers Cross organization alignment: working across Siemens DISW and DI Automation teams so we show up as one company with one story for the lab automation market The goal is simple. Drive excellence in how we represent ourselves to lab automation buyers, and turn that into real software adoption. What you'll do Own the market strategy for Luma in lab automation, including workflow orchestration, scheduling, instrument integration, data capture, and autonomous lab concepts Define target segments, buyer personas, and priority accounts, including Heads of Lab Automation, Automation Engineers, Discovery Technologies, Research IT, Core Facilities, and Operations leaders Build positioning and messaging that speaks to automation engineers, scientists, IT leaders, and executives Drive software adoption by working with customers and field teams to find the workflows where Luma delivers value fastest, and by capturing what works so others can repeat it Define and prove AI use cases for lab automation, including closed loop experimentation, smarter scheduling, and data prepared for tools like NVIDIA BioNeMo Translate automation pain points into clear value, including less integration work, faster workflow changes, better use of instruments, trusted data, and a clear path from automation islands to connected labs Partner with the Siemens Solution Marketing team to build content, campaigns, and events for the lab automation market Work with industry thought leaders, analysts, and partners to build credibility and bring outside voices into our story Create the competitive view against other informatics vendors, scheduling and orchestration tools, automation vendors, and in house builds Develop the business case, pricing inputs, and value story with Finance and Sales Equip global teams with talk tracks, battlecards, demo narratives, and customer proof points Partner with DISW and DI Automation teams to align messaging, joint offers, and customer conversations Partner with Product on roadmap priorities based on what automation teams tell us Connect lab automation to the bigger Molecule to Market narrative, including ELN, Biologics, and Tech Transfer Support strategic pursuits and executive conversations with customers and partners Track market trends, including autonomous labs, AI driven discovery, robotics, and data standards, and turn them into action We are looking for people who have 10 or more years in life sciences, lab automation, or scientific technology, with hands on experience in a pharma, biotech, CDMO, research institute, or automation vendor setting. You will bring Strong analytical skills, including sizing markets and building a business case excellent writing and presentation skills. Ideally holding a degree in life sciences, engineering, robotics, or a related field, with a Masters or PhD a plus The key skills Deep understanding of how automated labs work day to day, including liquid handling, robotics, instrument integration, workflow scheduling, and the data that flows from them Knowledge of how automation leaders make decisions, balance speed, cost, and flexibility, and work with scientists, IT, and engineering teams Experience in product marketing, market strategy, product management, or commercial roles at a software, automation, informatics, or life sciences solutions company Familiarity with scheduling and orchestration software, LIMS, ELN, or lab data platforms A track record of driving software adoption, or of turning new technology such as AI into use cases customers actually adopt Proven ability to turn complex science and technology into clear, simple messaging Comfort working with senior leaders, industry experts, and customers Ability to work across a large, global, matrixed organisation and build trust with teams in different regions and business units Right to work in the UK Nice to have Experience running or supporting a lab automation team or an automated lab build Knowledge of industrial automation concepts and how they apply to the lab Familiarity with lab data standards and open interfaces Experience with AI, machine learning, or data platforms in a scientific setting Existing relationships with industry thought leaders, analysts, automation vendors, or research institutes Experience working across the UK and European life sciences community What success looks like A clear lab automation market strategy adopted by Sales, Product, Services, and Solution Marketing Messaging and sales tools that teams around the world actually use One consistent story for lab automation across Dotmatics, DISW, and DI Automation Growing software adoption and a library of proven AI use cases in lab automation Industry voices who help tell our story Growing pipeline and wins tied to lab automation Automation leaders who can say, in their own words, why Luma helps them connect their labs and move toward autonomous operation Research shows us the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting outstanding candidates, so please don't hesitate to apply — we'd love to hear from you.
