About the Role: Samsara is seeking a high-impact, strategic seller to lead the go-to-market execution for our newest frontier: AI Products.  As a Core Enterprise Specialist (Overlay), you will partner with our Account Executives (AEs) to build deep partnerships with our enterprise accounts. You aren't just selling a tool; you are pioneering GTM, ensuring our customers realize continuous value from AI-driven automation. About the Team: This specialist team reports into a Sales Director (SD) and consists of specialist sellers aligned by segment and product.  AEs on the team are charged with accelerating the growth of a new product and will be incentivized on quarterly product sales targets mapped to 1 or more regional directors for mainline sellers in the segment.   Product Specialist sellers drive growth through strategic, high-value deal executing and enabling the segment overall to be successful. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the United States. You should apply if:  You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact – helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely. You have an innate curiosity about how businesses work: One day you're meeting with a VP of Operations in waste management; the next, you're diving into the logistics of a global food distributor. You seek to understand the "unit of value" for every customer. You are an AI pragmatist: You understand that AI Products are about outcomes, not just "cool tech." You can translate LLM and agentic capabilities into tangible safety and efficiency gains for the physical world.  You build genuine, high-stakes relationships: Our customers operate in "boots-on-the-ground" industries. They value earned trust and partners who understand their operational realities. You want to be with the best: Samsara's high-performance culture means you'll be surrounded by the best and challenged to go farther than you have before.  You are a team Player: In an overlay role, your success is tied to the success of the broader account team. You lead through influence, not just authority. In this role you will: Architect deals that align Samsara's AI Products value with customer use cases to provide maximum value and return on investment Co-develop new product pipeline with ADRs/AEs across high potential "AI-ready" accounts Drive high-touch pilot strategy and success metrics for early adoption Partner with GTM and Product to feed back insights and help shape roadmap Build frameworks, assets and insights that scale across the sales org Minimum requirements for the role: 5+ years in complex, full-cycle sales. 2+ years of direct experience selling in AI-based commercial models (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Twilio, or AI-native platforms). Proven Track Record: Consistent quota over-achievement in complex accounts with $200k+ ARR transactions. Deal Complexity: Demonstrated success navigating 6- figure deals involving multiple stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, InfoSec, and C-Suite). Entrepreneurial Agility: Experience selling "Version 1.0" products where the playbook is still being written. An ideal candidate also has: Experience working in a specialist/overlay co-selling with a mainline AE team. 4+ years direct experience selling AI-based commercial models with a deep understanding of forecasting and expansion mechanics. Strong grasp of AI/ML concepts and how AI Products differ from standard automation. The compensation range shown spans approved pay zones for this role. Your primary work location determines the range applicable to you, which may be narrower than the full range displayed. Annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position is below and depends on your city of residence. Learn more about our total rewards and benefits below. Annual OTE Salary $222,400 — $278,000 USD Total Rewards At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving. We meaningfully differentiate pay for our top performers, who have the opportunity to earn above-market compensation that can outpace the broader market over time. Beyond compensation, we provide the foundations that enable long-term success: a flexible, employee-led remote model, a professional development stipend, comprehensive health and parental leave plans, and more. If you're ready to build for the long term and own the outcome, your journey starts here. Who we are Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale. Working at Samsara means you'll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that's shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. About the role: Samsara's Customer Success team ensures our customers adopt our platform, realize measurable business value, and renew and expand with confidence. As Manager II on the US Scale Customer Success team, you will lead a team responsible for a high-volume portfolio of mid-market and large commercial customers in the private sector.  This is not a traditional CS leadership role. It is a builder role for a leader who drives renewal outcomes by making their team more effective — through better programs, cleaner signals, smarter automation, and sharper coaching. You will own the engagement model for your team: building the playbooks, building & improving digital, automated, lifecycle & AI-driven engagement programs, and coaching CSMs from activity-based to outcome-based work. You will set the standard for what great Scale CS looks like, and personally step in when customers or situations demand it. The expectation is not just to run the team well — it is to make it fundamentally better. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area. You should apply if: You want to impact the industries that run our world: Every phone call you answer and every email you send can affect whether truck drivers deliver goods on time and without accidents, whether students get dropped off safely from school, or whether power gets restored quickly after a natural disaster. You thrive the most when solving problems: Our constantly expanding technology and the complexities faced by our customers provide an exciting range of challenges for our Customer Success teams. With a growth mindset and a desire to learn, you will strategically partner with our customers to find unique solutions to help keep their operations safe, efficient, and sustainable. You are a natural relationship builder: Whether the relationship is with our customers or with cross-functional teams in Samsara, you are in constant communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to win as a team. You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won't be your last at Samsara. This Customer Success team is still shaping its future and you will have plenty of autonomy and opportunities to master your craft in a hyper growth environment. You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by the best and brightest professionals out there. In this role, you will own:  Segmentation strategy: determine customer segmentation into service tiers and engagement models that blend targeted human interactions and scalable programs for a high-volume portfolio of mid-market accounts in the US private sector Renewal outcomes: drive retention as the primary lens for every operating decision, not a reporting exercise Expansion collaboration: partner with Sales to drive growth within accounts Product adoption: work with CSMs to drive breadth and depth of product adoption  People leadership: hire, develop, and manage a team of CSMs, each managing portfolios of 100+ accounts Productivity and efficiency: drive measurable output per CSM through AI, automation, digital programs, lifecycle workflows, and smart tooling integrations AI-forward: champion experimentation and adoption of AI-powered workflows and tools to enhance customer engagement and team productivity Risk management: identify and mitigate risk at scale using data-driven insights Cross-functional leadership: partner with Sales, RevOps, Marketing, Product, and Business Technology to increase team productivity and improve customer experience Escalation leadership: step into critical customer situations personally and providing leadership coverage when it matters, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on resolution Minimum requirements for the role: 5+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management  2+ years of direct people management experience leading CSMs or similar customer-facing roles with a portfolio of 100+ accounts each Demonstrated experience building or significantly redesigning a scale, tech-touch, or digital CS model for pooled CSMs with measurable retention or expansion outcomes Demonstrated ownership or significant influence over retention and expansion outcomes Strong analytical capability; comfortable using data to drive prioritization, segmentation, and performance management. Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, organizational change, and fast growth in a high-volume environment An ideal candidate also has: Experience at a SaaS company with a hardware or IoT component Experience integrating AI into CS workflows to drive measurable team productivity Advanced proficiency with Gainsight (or similar customer success platforms) Experience partnering closely with Sales on expansion and account strategy The compensation range shown spans approved pay zones for this role.
