Join us in building the future of finance. Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you're ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading. About the team + role We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems. We're looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency, it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards. The Brokerage Platform org is the backbone of everything Robinhood trades, clears, and settles. It is the underlying infrastructure that powers every equities trade, every options contract, every event contract, and every crypto transaction that moves through our platform — and it is the foundation on which Robinhood's most important business lines are built. The org spans four deeply interconnected teams: Market Data & Symbology (the real-time and reference data layer that the entire product experience depends on), Trading Platform (core order routing, execution management, and bulk order systems), Clearing (settlement, margin, security lending, cash sweep, and the full back-office operations stack), and Brokerage Infrastructure (the platform layer that enables every product team to move faster through abstractions, reliability investments, and next-generation stack modernization). This org operates 24 hours a day around critical market functions — from market open to trade settlement — and when things go wrong, it matters. As the Director of Engineering, Brokerage Platform , you will lead one of Robinhood's largest and most consequential engineering organizations. You will own the technical strategy, people leadership, and delivery execution for a broad, high-stakes platform — partnering closely with a dedicated TPM and engaging deeply with trading, crypto, and active trader product teams who depend on your org every day. This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. You will need the engineering depth to challenge technical bets, the platform mindset to drive the investments that move the business forward, and the leadership presence to build and retain a world-class team in a domain where the stakes are always high. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams. What you'll do Own the full engineering strategy and delivery for Brokerage Platform — spanning Market Data & Symbology, Trading Platform, Clearing, and Brokerage Infrastructure — setting the technical direction and ensuring the org executes with reliability and conviction Lead and develop a large, distributed engineering organization of senior and staff-level engineers and engineering managers — building the talent, culture, and bench strength the org needs to sustain high performance over time Drive platform investments that have direct business impact — identifying the modernization, reliability, and scalability bets worth making, building the conviction behind them, and seeing them through to measurable outcomes Partner tightly with your TPM counterpart to manage a high volume of incoming asks from trading, crypto, active trader, and event contracts product teams — prioritizing ruthlessly and protecting engineering capacity for the work that matters most Own the reliability and operational health of systems that run continuously around market-critical functions — ensuring the org is prepared for high-severity incidents and has the processes and tooling to resolve them fast Engage deeply with cross-functional leadership across Robinhood — representing Brokerage Platform's roadmap, dependencies, and capabilities to product, ops, and executive stakeholders Champion platform modernization and technical debt reduction — driving initiatives like stack rewrites, sharding, multi-region scaling, and infrastructure abstractions that unlock velocity across the entire engineering org What you bring 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 6+ years in engineering leadership roles — including demonstrated experience as a Director or Senior Director managing large, multi-team engineering organizations Deep platform engineering background — you've owned and driven the technical direction of foundational backend platforms at scale, not just product features built on top of them (big plus, though not directly required) Experience at the intersection of financial services, trading, brokerage, or adjacent high-criticality domains is a strong plus — you don't need to know all four of our sub-domains, but depth in one or two (market data, clearing, order execution, or brokerage infrastructure) is a meaningful signal A track record of driving platform modernization bets that delivered real business outcomes — you've made the case for a large technical investment, executed it, and pointed to the result Comfort operating in a high-severity, always-on engineering environment — you've led teams through major incidents and built the systems and culture to minimize their recurrence Strong background with distributed systems, backend services at scale, Go or Python, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) Background from high-performance engineering organizations in fintech, trading, crypto, or large-scale consumer platforms — companies similar to Robinhood, Coinbase, SoFi, Google, or similar environments where the platform was the business is a strong plus! Leadership expectations Our ambitious roadmap requires a great culture shaped by exceptional leaders. Here's what we expect from them: Drive high performance by setting clear, focused goals, giving real-time feedback, stretching top talent, and scaling impact through focus, innovation, and tech. Hire and retain top talent by setting a high bar, hiring only those who raise it, investing in onboarding, and addressing talent issues quickly and fairly. Create community by connecting work to purpose, removing friction while prioritizing safety, building trust and inclusion, and leading from the front with integrity. What we offer Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career. Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching. Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents. Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund that gives eligible US employees the opportunity to invest in a private employee fund that provides exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds. Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not. About the role We're looking for a Technical Lead Manager (TLM) to lead our CI/CD team , the group that owns how every Chime engineer builds, integrates, and safely ships code. Your team owns the integration and delivery surface: source and code intelligence ( GitHub , Sourcegraph ), continuous integration and build ( CircleCI , Qlty ), artifacts ( Artifactory ), and the release-safety layer that gets changes to production without breaking it. Your team's mission is continuous, safe, reliable, and efficient integration and delivery of features. Every merge and every deployment at Chime runs through what your team builds. This is a player-coach role . Under Chime's Builder Operating Model, the TLM is a single accountable owner at the team level. You own both delivery and people for a small team, and you stay hands-on in the codebase. You'll spend about 40%+ of your time building , authoring PRs that land in production, with the remainder split across people management, planning, and other business processes. You'll lead a team of 4 engineers, own the roadmap for a high-leverage platform surface, and be directly accountable for the reliability of the pipelines and release systems in the critical path of every Chime team. You're expected to use AI coding agents and workflows to keep planning, operations, and delivery overhead low so you can stay in the code and operate the team. In this role, you can expect to Build and ship, hands-on. Author and review PRs that land in production. Own the team's technical direction, architecture, and quality bar; partner with senior ICs and lead technical design discussions and technical planning. Lead and grow the team. Own full people management for the team: 1:1s, career coaching, performance feedback, promotion decisions, and hiring. Build an inclusive, high-trust team and own its health and engagement. Mentor engineers toward Staff or a future TLM path. Own the CI/CD platform. Set direction and delivery for the build and integration systems (GitHub, CircleCI, Artifactory, Sourcegraph, Qlty etc): fast, reliable, self-service pipelines with strong documentation and low-friction adoption so every product team ships faster with less support burden. Be accountable for safe delivery at scale. Own the release-safety toolkit (Release Guard, canaries and progressive delivery, feature flagging with Tuner, and rollback) and the operational discipline behind it: incident prevention, incident response, SLAs, and blameless learning for systems in the critical path of every deploy. Balance the platform-team tension. Weigh new capabilities against keep-the-lights-on work, security remediation, and dependency upgrades, and make those trade-offs legible to engineers, cross-functional partners, and leadership. Champion AI-driven velocity. Use AI coding agents and tooling to scale yourself and your team across planning, coding, and ops/triage, and introduce workflows that measurably improve team velocity. Own cross-functional coordination. Serve as the XFN point of contact for your platform's capabilities. Coordinate inbound requests and outbound dependencies, partner with client engineering teams and sibling platform teams (Release Enablement, Developer Foundations) on scope and delivery commitments, and tie-break technical decisions. Partner across the Platform Org. Work closely with product engineering teams, security, Core Infrastructure, and other Engineering Services leaders on shared roadmaps, dependencies, and other initiatives. To thrive in this role, you have 5+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years leading or managing engineers , including hiring, performance management, and career development, with the appetite and ability to stay hands-on in the codebase. A track record of delivering CI/CD, build/release, or developer-productivity systems : continuous integration, build pipelines, artifact management, or progressive delivery. Hands-on experience with CI systems (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or comparable), build pipelines, and artifact management in production (must-have). Hands-on technical depth you can still exercise: you author and review production PRs and can lead technical design, not just delegate it. Strong development experience in Ruby, Go, Python, or comparable languages. Experience with progressive and safe delivery : canaries, release gating, feature flagging, and rollback strategies. Strong understanding of operating production systems at scale : reliability, observability, incident response, and the operational discipline platform ownership demands. The judgment to balance delivery velocity against safety, reliability, and technical-debt realities , and the communication skills to make those trade-offs clear to engineers and executives alike. Demonstrated use of AI coding agents and tooling to accelerate development and team velocity, with a concrete example of the impact on your team's output. From Fivetran's founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We're proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven. About Us Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we're delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we're building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It's an exciting time to join us: we're creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites. About the Team The Semantic Layer team owns the systems that turn dbt models into trusted, reusable business metrics. At the heart of this is MetricFlow — the open-source semantic engine that powers the dbt Semantic Layer. MetricFlow lets data teams define metrics once in code and consume them consistently across BI tools, notebooks, AI agents, and downstream applications. This team is the steward of MetricFlow as an open-source project: shipping releases, reviewing community contributions, evolving the query compiler, and ensuring it integrates cleanly with the broader dbt ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of language design, query compilation, and distributed data execution — solving problems that directly shape how thousands of organizations measure their business. About the Role We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Semantic Layer team in Bangalore. You'll be a core contributor to MetricFlow — designing features, optimizing query generation, hardening the open-source codebase, and partnering with the community of contributors and adopters around it. This is a high-ownership role: you'll write production code, drive technical decisions, and help shape the long-term architecture of one of the most important projects in the modern data stack. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain core features of MetricFlow, including metric definitions, query compilation, dimensional modeling, and SQL generation across multiple data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, and others). Own MetricFlow as an open-source project — triage issues, review external pull requests, manage releases, and engage the community on GitHub and in Slack. Collaborate with engineers across dbt Cloud, dbt Core, and the Semantic Layer service to ensure MetricFlow integrates seamlessly with the rest of the dbt ecosystem. Improve performance, reliability, and observability of metric query execution at scale. Partner with product, design, and developer-relations teammates to translate customer and community feedback into shipped improvements. Write clear technical documentation, RFCs, and design docs that raise the bar for how the team thinks and ships. Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance. Skills We're Looking For Strong professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping production systems. Deep proficiency in Python , including modern typing, testing practices, and packaging. Strong SQL fundamentals and a working understanding of how analytical query engines and data warehouses execute queries. Experience designing systems that involve parsing, compilation, or transformation — for example: query planners, DSL compilers, type systems, or rule-based engines. Solid grasp of software design principles: clean APIs, modularity, testability, and backwards compatibility. Excellent written and verbal communication — you can explain complex tradeoffs clearly to engineers, PMs, and external community members. Experience collaborating in a distributed, asynchronous team environment. Bonus Skills (Optional) Prior experience contributing to or maintaining a popular open-source project. Familiarity with dbt, MetricFlow, LookML, Cube, or other semantic-layer technologies. Background in data warehousing internals, query optimization, or analytical SQL dialects. Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and release engineering for Python libraries. Exposure to building developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or CLIs. Why Join Us Impact at scale: Your code will run inside the data platforms of tens of thousands of companies, including some of the world's largest enterprises. Open-source ownership: You'll be a public, named maintainer of a foundational project — your work is visible, reviewed, and used by the global data community. A team that values craft: We invest in design docs, code review, and durable engineering. We ship fast, but we don't ship sloppy. Competitive compensation: Market-leading salary, equity, comprehensive health insurance, generous time off, learning & wellness stipends, and home-office support. Perks and Benefits 100% employer-paid medical insurance Generous paid time away from work, including paid vacation or flexible/unlimited vacation depending on role and country, plus paid sick time, inclusive parental leave, paid holidays, including a year-end Global Week of Rest, and volunteer days off. RSU stock grants Professional development and training opportunities Company virtual happy hours, free food, and fun team-building activities Monthly cell phone stipend Access to an innovative mental health support platform that offers personalized care and resources in areas such as: therapy, coaching, and self-guided mindfulness exercises for all covered employees and their covered dependents. * May vary by country and worker type - please reach out to your recruiter for more information Click here to learn more about Fivetran's Benefits by Region. Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic's complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. What is The Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Platform team and build the tools that make engineers' lives easier, both when they're building integrations and when they're pulling data together to actually make sense of it. This role is about developer experience: understanding what developers actually struggle with day to day, and building tools that remove that friction so they can move faster and get more done. The Integrations Platform team owns the tooling that supports how integrations get built, deployed, and understood. That includes infrastructure and deployment tooling built on Terraform, telemetry pipelines running through BigQuery, and the AI-driven tools and evaluations we use to interpret that data and turn it into something people can actually act on. You'll build and maintain these tools, listen closely to the engineers who rely on them, and take ownership of projects that span infrastructure, telemetry, and AI-assisted data interpretation, from first idea to shipped result. This is fast-moving, often ambiguous work. We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating without a fixed spec, listens thoughtfully, and collaborates well across teams. You should drive effectively toward outcomes while supporting your teammates, bring clear ideas on what should be built, care about the developers using your tools, and feel equally comfortable working independently or alongside product teams and partners. Prior experience with the Elastic product suite isn't required, but it helps. What you will be doing: Lead green-field initiatives that shape the future of the developer experience for building and maintaining Security Integrations Architect and drive the tooling and automation strategy, leveraging Gen AI to solve problems at scale rather than one-off fixes Set a collaborative tone for the team by fostering open communication, mutual respect, and thoughtful decision-making, while mentoring engineers along the way Represent the team in the open, working closely with Security and Ingest teams, Elastic users, and the broader open source community to shape direction and build trust What you bring: Experience building and running evals for AI systems at scale, with a strong sense of measuring output quality and catching regressions Strong proficiency in Python and Go, with hands-on Terraform for infrastructure and deployment, and BigQuery for telemetry and data analysis Proven ability to run projects end to end with autonomy, alongside the judgment to bring others along and seek input when needed Bonus Points: Production experience with the general Elastic ingest model Experience in cybersecurity Experience parsing logs and events, ideally with exposure to OpenTelemetry, ECS, or OCSF in a security or observability context Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. At Elastic, our compensation philosophy aims to provide fair, competitive and transparent remuneration. Salary ranges are established based on a combination of external market benchmarks, internal pay equity considerations, and the responsibilities and complexity associated with each role. This approach helps ensure consistency across comparable roles while remaining competitive within the relevant labour markets. The final compensation offered within the applicable range will be determined based on several objective factors, including relevant professional experience, level of skills and expertise, alignment with the role requirements, and the overall scope and complexity of the position. The typical starting salary range for this role is: €67.000 — €106.000 EUR Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People As a distributed company, diversity drives our identity. Whether you're looking to launch a new career or grow an existing one, Elastic is the type of company where you can balance great work with great life. Your age is only a number. It doesn't matter if you're just out of college or your children are; we need you for what you can do. We strive to have parity of benefits across regions and while regulations differ from place to place, we believe taking care of our people is the right thing to do. Competitive pay based on the work you do here and not your previous salary Health coverage for you and your family in many locations Ability to craft your calendar with flexible locations and schedules for many roles Generous number of vacation days each year Increase your impact - We match up to $2000 (or local currency equivalent) for financial donations and service Up to 40 hours each year to use toward volunteer projects you love Embracing parenthood with minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave Different people approach problems differently. We need that. Elastic is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive culture that celebrates different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation.
