Team Lead Manager - Product Engineer
NEW
OmneaLondon, Germany19 hours ago
Full TimeOn-siteLead$110,000 - $110,000 / Year
pythontypescriptrreactawslambda+9

Our Mission: Omnea is the agentic operating system for procurement. Procurement touches every pound a business spends, yet requests still stall for weeks and approvals get lost in inboxes. Our AI-first platform changes that: our agents capture requests, route approvals, onboard suppliers, flag risk and track every renewal, while anyone in the business can ask a question and get an answer grounded in their own company's data. Buying becomes painless for everyone, procurement gets a seat at the table, and our customers have saved more than 100,000 hours of manual work so far. Companies like Spotify, PayPal, T. Rowe Price, JustEat, Adyen and S&P Global run procurement on Omnea. We're backed by $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners and Accel, and we've been named the UK's number one startup in the Startups 100, ranked 11th on Sifted's 2026 list of Europe's fastest-growing companies, and recognised as one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies. Talent density matters more to us than almost anything else. We keep the bar high in every team, so everyone here has real ownership and real impact. Our team is full of former founders and operators who've scaled unicorns, and we're looking for people who want to do the best work of their careers alongside them. Find out more about the team and life at Omnea here . What We're Looking For We're looking for highly technical engineers who want to lead and manage one of our engineering teams. It took over 10,000 interviews to hire our first 50 Omneans, and we're now growing from 11 to more than 14 engineering teams in the coming months. Over the next year, our engineering team will double in size, our enterprise customer base will grow from ~180 to 300+, and revenue will triple. As a Team Lead Manager, you'll lead a small team of engineers. You'll set its technical direction, line-manage and grow the people in it, and stay hands-on in the code. This is not a hands-off management role: our teams are small, and you'll be one of the strongest engineers on yours. You'll partner closely with a Product Manager and Product Designer to decide what to build, and you'll be accountable for how well it's built and how fast it ships. If you're a strong Tech Lead who hasn't managed people yet, we'd still love to hear from you. You can start as a Team Lead, with management handled by an Engineering Manager, and grow into the full role with our support. What Can You Expect As a Team Lead Manager? Lead and Manage a Small Team. Line-manage the engineers on your team, run 1:1s, give feedback, and help them take on bigger problems. Stay Deeply Technical. You'll still build. Expect to spend a meaningful share of your time writing code, reviewing PRs, and unblocking the hardest technical problems. AI-Native Development. AI is core to how we build. Engineers use Claude, Code, and agentic workflows every day, and our product is built on AI agents that automate complex procurement workflows. You'll set the bar for how your team uses them. Customers at the Center. Talk directly with customers to understand their problems, and make sure your team builds things that create real value for them. Own Technical Direction. Make the architecture and design calls for your team's problem space, and own the trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability. Work with Modern Technology. TypeScript across the stack, React, Postgres, and AWS serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge), managed through Pulumi and deployed via GitHub Actions. Datadog, Meticulous, and Incident.io round it out. Shape the Roadmap. Work with your PM and Designer on prioritisation, scoping, and sequencing so the team ships what matters most. Build the Team. Interview, hire, and onboard new engineers as we double in size. About You You're a highly technical full-stack engineer. You've designed and shipped web apps end to end in TypeScript, ideally on AWS serverless, and you're still one of the strongest engineers in the room. You've led engineers. You've been a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or TLM, owning delivery and technical direction for a team. You want to manage people, or grow into it. Ideally, you've line-managed engineers already. If not, you're keen to learn. You still love to build. Leading hasn't pulled you away from the code, and you want a role where you keep shipping. You raise the bar. You know what well-architected, reliable software looks like, and you help others get there through reviews, pairing, and clear feedback. You're motivated by customer impact. You care about outcomes for customers, not just output, and you make good calls on what to build and what to cut. You're a strong partner. You work well with product and design, push back when it matters, and bring people with you. You're comfortable with ambiguity. You can take an unclear problem, shape it, and get a team moving on it. Nice-to-Haves You've led a team through fast growth, ideally at a scale-up where the team and product changed quickly. You've built B2B or enterprise SaaS, with complex workflows and demanding customers. You've performed exceptionally at something else, be it academics, sport, or work. Interview Process Before applying, we strongly encourage you to spend a few minutes in our R&D Candidate Hub. It covers our engineering culture, ways of working, interview process, tech environment, and what it's like to build at Omnea. R&D Candidate Hub : https://omnea.notion.site/R-D-Candidate-Hub-2f688cce658780f1b942c81cd3a032d4 Note: our pair programming stage is in TypeScript OR Python and you'll be assessed as if it's your primary language. This is a full-stack, hands-on leadership role, so if you're exclusively frontend, backend, or platform-focused, or no longer writing code, it likely isn't the right fit. The process generally includes: Initial screening call with our Talent team (30 mins, remote) AI Product Eng Challenge , language-agnostic (1 hour, remote) Onsite interviews at our Victoria office (~3 hours) Engineering Culture interview with an Engineering Manager or Team Lead (45 mins) System Design interview with a Senior Engineer (60 mins) Engineering Leadership interview with our CTO (45 mins) Office tour (15 mins) We're proud to support visa sponsorship for candidates who need it. At Omnea, we embrace diversity. To build a product that's loved by everyone, we're best served by a team with all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't quite match the full job spec! And regardless of your race, religion, colour, gender, or anything else! If you think you could be a good fit for Omnea, please reach out. A few things to note: We offer competitive geo-localised benefits, and you can check out our UK Benefits Package here and our US Benefits Package here . We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time, and you can read more about why we believe this is a winning move here We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise! We're actively seeking folks looking to make the most of a career-defining opportunity, with the hunger to be part of building something really impressive . You can see our values here and our Omnea Future Founder's fund here ! We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you'd like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application, otherwise we'll take your application as confirmation that you're happy for us to use notetakers (whether added to video calls or in the background). Security Engineer

Proxima Fusion GmbHMunich, Germany16 hours ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythonrbashpowershellgcpgoogle cloud+15

WHO WE ARE Proxima Fusion is Europe's fastest-growing fusion company and the continent's best-funded fusion player, as well as the first spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP). Backed by over €650M and powered by a growing team across Munich, Zurich, and Oxford, we are developing the hardware and infrastructure needed to deliver the world's first commercial stellarator fusion power plant. Our concept advances the most mature fusion technology out there, the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator, through two next-generation machines: Alpha and Stellaris. Our work combines stellarator optimization, advanced computation, machine learning, and high-temperature superconducting magnets to unlock higher-performance designs that were previously out of reach. Turning these designs into a functioning fusion power plant requires excellence and ownership across every discipline, from physics and engineering to software, manufacturing, law, and business functions. WHY JOIN US Work on a civilisation-scale problem - Clean, baseload fusion energy is one of the few genuinely world-changing challenges, and every hire directly accelerates the path to a working stellarator. Grow as fast as the company does - With headcount set to roughly 5x in a few years and major technical milestones ahead on the path to our demo machine and first power plant, your role grows under you; today's hire is tomorrow's function lead. Tackle problems that don't exist elsewhere - Fusion sits at a rare intersection of deep-tech R&D, industrial procurement, government relations, and venture financing, so non-tech functions face challenges no other workplace can offer. YOUR IMPACT As our Senior Security Engineer in Munich, you will own security implementation and security monitoring, digital and physical, for a company building one of the most valuable bodies of fusion IP in Europe. Protecting it is its own challenge, and you are the person who will own it. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Build out our security monitoring capability: select and run the SIEM, decide what's worth alerting on, and tune out the noise. • Own incident response end-to-end, from investigation through to a post-mortem and a fix that holds. • Harden the environment hands-on across endpoint and EDR, identity and access, network, and infrastructure. • Finish maturing Zero Trust: identity and device posture as joint conditions for access, and MFA everywhere. • Handle the long tail of edge cases that comes with a fast-growing team and a lot of contractors. • Secure our Google-centric workplace, where most of our IP moves — DLP, data classification and labeling, retention, and context-aware access. • Secure the software supply chain in collaboration with our platform team: source control, access boundaries, secrets, and CI/CD. • Run vulnerability and attack surface management, and drive remediation to be done with the teams that own the systems. • Set and monitor our physical security standard with Business Operations, who implement it on site: access zones, CCTV and alerting, visitor and contractor access, and site access as one joiner-mover-leaver process with digital access, across multiple locations. • Give our compliance work the technical substance it needs: evidence, remediation, and support through audits and pen tests. WHO YOU ARE Must have • You have 5+ years hands-on in security engineering, with real depth in identity, endpoint, and infrastructure. • You have built or substantially operated a SIEM, and run real incidents end-to-end. • You have implemented Zero Trust in production - unified IdP and MDM, conditional access, device posture. • You know Google Workspace Enterprise security well, or can get there fast from an equivalent platform. • You are automation-first: Terraform, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell are no strangers to you. • You are fluent in CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001, and NIS2 without being ruled by them. • You can turn a technical finding into a business impact and actionable solutions Nice to have • Interest or a track record in AI security. • Hands-on cloud and container security: GCP, containers, Kubernetes. • Certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, CCSP, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer. • Experience in a regulated, export-controlled, or high-security environment, where physical and digital security meet. INTERVIEW PROCESS Recruiter Interview (30-60 min) Technical Screening (30 min) Technical Panel (3x60 min) CEO call (30 min) This role sits at L2/L3 of our framework, please inquire during the recruitment process for further information At Proxima Fusion, our mission is bold: making limitless clean energy a reality. To get there, we need a high-performing, diverse team that brings different perspectives, challenges assumptions, and builds together with purpose. We know that diversity of thought and experience leads to better ideas, stronger execution, and a more resilient team. We don't look at how you identify, what you look like, who you choose to worship or what ethnicity you are. We care about what you can bring to the table. Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

You will also work across Fin's core capabilities, such as Skills, Personalisation, Procedures and Safety, and contribute directly to delivering new Fin products from inception. This is a hands-on EM role. You will lead a senior team of engineers and stay hands-on in the codebase. An EM who regularly works alongside ICs builds the context to make good strategic decisions and to support engineers well. Contributing to Fin's central AI system, architecture and experimentation are core to the job. Learn more about Fin's AI engineering and research at Fin /research , and more about Fin at fin.ai . What will I be doing? As a hands-on leader, you will: Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team based primarily in Berlin, with members across our European offices. Incubate and deliver AI products from ideation through to success, leveraging backtests, evals and A/B tests to inform what ships. Contribute directly to our production systems so you keep first-hand context. Own operational health for your workstreams: SLOs, alarms, and proactive management of our most critical systems. Plan, prioritise and deliver best-in-class AI products with your most senior engineers, ML Scientists, PMs and AI Designers. Make AI-first the team default. Build shared skills, agents, and automations that raise the bar for the team's output and ambition. Hire and onboard great engineers, and help them build the Berlin office. What skills do I need? Must-haves: Strong prior experience as an engineer, with recent hands-on technical contributions. Strong technical judgement, and the ability to coach senior engineers through complex architecture and product trade-offs. Strong product sense: you can weigh AI product opportunities and decide what matters most. A data-driven approach: you use experiments and metrics to make decisions. Strong ownership of production quality and reliability. An adaptable leadership style for a group and environment that will grow fast and change shape. Nice to haves: Experience leading engineering teams that build and operate generative AI systems in production. Experience with AI evaluation, backtesting or experiment design at scale. Experience managing AI costs and how product choices affect it. Experience in a hands-on EM role, or alternating between EM and IC roles. Experience helping build or grow a new engineering site.
