SAEKI - Manufacturing at software speed Europe's defense industrial base cannot respond at the speed modern conflict requires. Legacy suppliers operate on month-long timelines. Tribal knowledge is retiring. Supply chains are fragile. SAEKI is building the operating system for autonomous factories — the infrastructure that lets Europe manufacture mission-critical components at software speed. Every part we make generates data, decisions, and handoffs. Your job is to capture that knowledge, automate the work around it, and remove whatever slows production down. When a critical defense program needs parts by next week, the systems you build are why we can deliver. The Role As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on our manufacturing intelligence team, you'll work wherever the leverage is highest. One week that means turning an operator's spreadsheet into a proper workflow; the next it means wiring machine data into scheduling, or cutting a manual quoting step out of the order flow. You'll own problems end to end across our customer portal, Enterprise Resource Planning / Manufacturing Execution System, and the data layer connecting them to the shop floor. Based at our HQ at "The Circle" (Zurich airport), your work will span: Manufacturing Intelligence: Capturing process, machine, and quality data so knowledge lives in systems instead of in people's heads. Automation: Replacing manual steps in quoting, planning, scheduling, and documentation with software that runs on its own. Production Acceleration: Finding the bottlenecks between CAD/CAM data submission and shipped parts. Tools for People: Building interfaces that make life easier for operators, engineers, and customers, whether that's a work instruction screen, a dashboard, or a self-service portal. Importantly, you do not need prior experience in the manufacturing domain. We value a high level of curiosity and autonomy to find and solve problems. What We're Looking For Experience: 3+ years as a software engineer with proven experience in shipping code to production, across backend and frontend Broad Technical Range: Experience in systems design, architecture and implementation. In general, you don't shy away from new technologies and pick up whatever the problem requires. Our current tech stack is: Rust, PostgreSQL, React, Python, AWS. End-to-End Ownership: From talking to the user, to schema, to API, to UI, to rollout. You don't hand off "the other half." Industrial Grit: Comfortable spending time on the shop floor in Germany to understand how work actually happens and how your software interacts with precision machinery. Autonomy: You are comfortable with diving into new topics, coming up with solutions and driving their implementation Bonus points: Knowledge of manufacturing and how factories operate, basic understanding of the Manufacturing Automation Pyramid On-site: Ability to work in person at our HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. What we're not looking for Engineers who only work on frontend or only work on backend. You must be comfortable across the full stack. People who need detailed specs before they start building. You'll work directly with users and define the solution yourself. Developers who ship code and move on. You own the outcome — not just the PR. E ngineers who are uncomfortable with ambiguity or rapidly changing priorities. What we offer Mission: Rebuild the industrial sovereignty of Europe . Your work directly enables the production of mission-critical hardware for defense and space Total Ownership: High-stakes autonomy in your domain. You own both the problems and the solutions, and have the authority to execute. The Environment: You are building solutions to accelerate production in a 5,000 m² state-of-the-art facility featuring 5-axis CNCs, industrial robots, and industrial plastic and metal 3D printers. Your work affects production of physical parts from day one. The Team: Growing team of experienced software engineers, who value an open feedback culture. You may (and are expected to) challenge the status quo, prior decisions and drive SAEKI's way forward. Compensation: Competitive salary + meaningful equity. Location: Zurich HQ with occasional travel to Factory ONE in Munich, Germany Apply Resume: Focus on systems you've built and owned. Find more English Speaking Jobs in Switzerland on Arbeitnow

Join Pigment: The AI Platform Redefining Business Planning Pigment is the AI-powered business planning and performance management platform built for agility and scale. We connect people, data, and processes in one intuitive, feature-rich solution, empowering every team—from Finance to HR—to build, adapt, and align strategic plans in real time. Founded in 2019, Pigment is one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies globally. Industry leaders like Unilever, Snowflake, Siemens, and DPD use Pigment daily to make more informed decisions and confidently navigate any scenario. With a team of 600+ across Paris, London, New York, Toronto, San Francisco and Austin, we've raised nearly $400M from top-tier investors and were named a Visionary in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Financial Planning Software. At Pigment, we take smart risks, celebrate bold ideas, and challenge the status quo—all while working as one team. If you're driven by innovation and ready to make an impact at scale, we'd love to hear from you. The opportunity We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer profile who will design and implement the Pigment infrastructure for tomorrow. Pigment is a technically challenging platform. It calculates and synchronizes large datasets that must be updated in real-time. Data comes from client models that can be up to billions of rows. This data can be pivoted, transformed, and aggregated on-demand through our formula engine while rendering live on our front end. Here are the challenges to be tackled as a Senior Platform Engineer: Define and build the infrastructure needed to answer our performance challenges, automate it, and make it scalable. In particular, ensure that the infrastructure scales in and out according to the platform usage. Secure high availability and redundancy of the Pigment platform. Ensure that the platform's performance and correctness are monitored accordingly, spread observability best practices across the engineering team. Participate in incident response. Accompany Pigment geographical expansion as the company grows and we sign clients overseas. Work with our security team on the implementation of their roadmap when related to infrastructure and development pipelines (code repository, credentials management, ...) Continuously chase inefficiencies within our development practices and pipelines. Seek improvement and automation wherever possible. Drive change across the software engineering team. In addition to Platform responsibilities, we expect you to contribute to software development activities. This is not limited to scripting and automations - we expect to you to be fully capable of reading and writing code. We believe Senior Platform Engineers should collaborate closely with software engineers, fostering a shared understanding of day-to-day challenges, rather than operating in separate teams. Last but not least, you will not be alone! You will be part of an SRE team. Our Engineering team Our Engineering team is responsible for developing our SaaS platform and building a comprehensive and user-friendly product. Pigment engineers participate in the entire application development lifecycle, focusing on design, coding, and keeping the production platform up and running. They can be specialized, but there is no strict separation between the infrastructure, backend, and the frontend. We value user-centricity and pragmatism: we choose the most relevant tools for the problem we have to solve, understanding the strengths and constraints of each technology. Our engineering culture also values curiosity, humility, trust, ownership and team spirit. Technical stack: Kubernetes (GKE, hosted on Google Cloud Platform): hosting all our infrastructure components except some PostgreSQL hosts, hosted on Google Cloud SQL Terraform: all our infrastructure is managed via this infrastructure as code (creation of GKE clusters, Google Cloud SQL databases, GCS buckets, IAM permissions...) Databases: PostgreSQL (CloudSQL and CloudNativePG), SingleStore, ElasticSearch RabbitMQ: queuing system Temporal.io: workflow automation platform Others: ArgoCD, Istio, Vault, Github, Docker (for local development) Backend: Microservices written in C# ASP.NET Core 8 (running exclusively on Linux) & Golang Frontend: React + Typescript, Jest, Cypress, Vite... Who you are More than knowledge of a specific cloud provider, language, or automation framework, we are looking for great engineering skills : the ability to translate product requirements into an elegant and simple architecture, and then make sure our product runs well on it. In any case, you have: Experience as a software engineer & Platform Engineer. Hands on coding is a must for this role. Experience with a container orchestration platform (Kubernetes is a plus) Experience with a public cloud provider, GCP is a plus Proven experience in software developments with languages such as C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby (this list is not exhaustive). Experience with observability tools (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Jaeger...) Great team spirit with a problem-solving attitude. A good dose of humility and the willingness to grow (no matter your seniority!).
