Menlo Security is the leader in Browser Security for human and agentic workforces. Our mission is to enable humans and agents to connect, communicate, and collaborate securely, without compromise. The Menlo Browser Security Platform protects organizations from cyberattacks by stopping threats across the web, documents, and email before they reach the user. With Menlo Agent Runtime Security (MARS), that protection now extends to the AI agents working alongside every employee. Menlo Security is trusted by major global businesses, including Fortune 500 companies and government agencies, to protect their most valuable asset, their data, and is backed by top-tier investors. Summary Menlo Security is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Threat Protection and ShadowAI team in the UK. This team ensures that users can safely browse the web through Menlo's secure cloud — protecting them from malicious sites (including those built or operated with AI) and securing access to authorised web applications. The services this team builds are core to Menlo's secure enterprise browser for both humans and AI agents, which puts you at the centre of one of the most active problems in enterprise security right now: how organisations gain visibility into and control over unsanctioned AI usage without blocking it entirely. The team applies AI in how it builds as well — code assistants, AI-assisted test generation, and LLM-supported log and incident analysis — so you will be using these tools alongside defending against their misuse. Outcomes & KPIs Key Outcome(s) Owned: Reliable, performant delivery of Threat Protection and ShadowAI services that detect and control risky web and generative AI application usage for Menlo customers. End-to-end ownership of assigned features, from design through production operation and iteration. Success Metrics / KPIs: (drafted for hiring manager review and adjustment) Service availability and latency for owned components meet or exceed team SLOs. Features delivered on committed roadmap dates, with quality measured by post-release defect and rollback rates. Automated test coverage maintained or improved on owned code paths. Detection accuracy for AI application and malicious site coverage, measured by false positive and false negative rates. Mean time to detect and resolve production issues in owned services. What You'll Do Design, develop, and own new features and services in the Threat Protection and ShadowAI product area, contributing directly to Menlo's technical roadmap. Build highly available, scalable distributed systems and APIs, including multithreaded and asynchronous applications, with performance and security considered from the start. Build and refine the detection and policy capabilities that give customers visibility into generative AI and unsanctioned web application usage in their environments. Participate in building, deploying, and operating the Menlo Security platform in production, using dashboards, error reporting, metrics, and AI-assisted log and trace analysis to identify and resolve defects quickly. Use AI code assistants and AI-assisted test generation as part of your normal workflow to move faster, while applying your own judgement on correctness, security, and maintainability before anything ships. Partner with product, security, operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align on requirements, tradeoffs, and schedules. Write unit and automated tests, conduct code and design reviews for peers, and evaluate emerging technologies that could improve our products. Functional Competencies Required: 3-5 years of professional software development experience with one or more of NodeJS, Go, or Python. 3-5 years of hands-on experience with cloud services such as GCP and/or AWS. Working experience with Linux and standard development tooling such as git. Degree in Computer Science or a related field (BE, BTech, or Masters), or equivalent practical experience. Practical fluency with AI coding and debugging assistants, including sound judgement about when to rely on LLM output and when to verify it independently. Self-directed approach to problem solving, with the ability to pick up unfamiliar systems and technologies with limited guidance. Preferred / Nice to Have: Experience building large-scale web applications and REST APIs. Strong grounding in complex data structures and database technologies. Experience with containers, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud infrastructure as code tooling such as Terraform. Familiarity with the Tornado web application framework and test automation. Track record of adapting and improving engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous delivery, agile ceremonies, automation, and maintainable, testable code. Interest in or exposure to security, threat detection, or AI governance and safety. MSGL-I4 Follow us on LinkedIn ! Why Menlo? At Menlo, we don't settle for the status quo — in our technology or our culture. How we think and act is just as important as what we build. Our culture is defined by five core mindsets: Proactive Leadership , Straight Talk , United Impact , Elevated Talent , and Customer-Compelled . We take ownership and drive outcomes without waiting to be told. We communicate directly and seek hard truths. We break down silos and win together. We hold a high bar for ourselves and the people around us. And we treat every customer interaction as mission-critical. If you're someone who sees it, owns it, solves it, and does it — you'll thrive here. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability . TO ALL AGENCIES: Please, no phone calls or emails to any employee of Menlo Security outside of the Talent organization. Menlo Security's policy is to only accept resumes from agencies via Ashby (ATS). Agencies must have a valid services agreement executed and must have been assigned by the Talent team to a specific requisition. Any resume submitted outside of this process will be deemed the sole property of Menlo Security. In the event a candidate submitted outside of this policy is hired, no fee or payment will be paid. AI software Engineer - Project Tricorder
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythonnlpdata engineeringclinicalicd-10quality control+1

Project Tricorder — Clinical Infrastructure for Field Operations We're looking for a hands-on engineer to build two foundations of the Tricorder product: the evaluation harness and training data pipeline behind our AI models, and a clinical knowledge base grounded in tactical combat care, SNOMED CT and ICD-10. About Project Tricorder - https://www.tricorder-systems.com/ Most healthcare technology assumes a hospital: reliable power, connectivity and a clinician at a desk. Care increasingly happens somewhere else - in the field, in transit, in remote and contested environments, and in the critical minutes before a patient reaches a ward. Tricorder builds the deployable clinical infrastructure for that world: a rugged, self-contained hardware and software platform that lets clinical teams capture, monitor and act on patient data anywhere, even when the network or the grid can't be relied on. It is a dual-use venture serving defence medical and civilian pre-hospital care. Our prototype product is already in user testing. Edge AI sits at the core: multimodal language models that turn video, sensor data and clinical notes into patient records, drive predictions and inform data-driven learnings across deployments. To trust those models in the field, we need rigorous data and evaluation - that's where you come in. What you'll do You'll own two workstreams, working day to day with the founder and the FF build team. 1. Data pipeline and evaluation harness Build the data foundations that tell us whether our models are good enough for clinical use. Data labelling: design labelling schemas and guidelines, set up tooling, and run labelling with clinical input, including quality checks and inter-annotator agreement. Data processing: build reproducible pipelines to ingest, clean, de-identify and transform multimodal data (video, sensor streams, text). Video data organisation: structure, version and catalogue video datasets so clips, annotations and metadata stay searchable and traceable. Training dataset preparation: assemble balanced, well-documented train, validation and test splits, with clear lineage from raw data to model input. Eval harness: build an automated harness that benchmarks vision-language and NLP models against clinically meaningful metrics, tracks regressions and supports build-vs-buy model decisions. 2. Clinical knowledge base Build the structured clinical knowledge base that turns unstructured input into coded, interoperable records. Database design: design the schema and stand up the data store for clinical concepts and their relationships. Clinical terminologies: ingest and map TC3, SNOMED CT, ICD-10 and related NHS standards, including cross-mappings between them. Natural language processing: extract entities and relationships from clinical text and link them to coded concepts. Document handling: parse and structure clinical documents (PDFs, notes, forms) into the database. Clinical knowledge: work with clinicians to make sure the database reflects real-world clinical reasoning and pre-hospital workflows. By the end of the first 3 months, we'd expect a working eval harness in use for model decisions, a labelled and versioned core dataset, and a first version of the knowledge base linked to the product. What we're looking for We don't expect one person to be expert in everything below. Strong candidates will be deep in one workstream and credible in the other. Must-haves Strong Python and data engineering skills, with a track record of shipping production data or ML pipelines, not just research notebooks. Hands-on experience building ML evaluation frameworks, benchmarks or test harnesses, ideally for vision, video or language models. Experience running data labelling and training-data preparation, including annotation tooling and quality control. Working knowledge of databases and data modelling. Practical NLP experience: entity extraction, entity linking or document parsing. Comfort handling sensitive data under data protection and clinical safety constraints. Pragmatism and speed: you can work with ambiguity, make good build-vs-buy calls and ship in weeks, not quarters. Nice to have Experience with SNOMED CT, ICD-10, dm+d or other NHS clinical terminologies and coding. A background in health-tech, clinical informatics or another regulated domain such as defence. Experience with video data at scale (frame sampling, temporal annotation, multimodal datasets). Familiarity with FHIR or HL7 interoperability standards. Experience working with LLMs and VLMs, including edge or on-device deployment. Early-stage startup experience, especially as a founding or early engineer. Probably not the right fit if You need detailed specs and a large team around you to be effective. You prefer pure research over building tools people use every day. This is a high urgency opening, and we are flexible to consider applicants either on a more flexible consultancy agreement (rolling by mutual agreement, with a competitive day rate); or a long term permanent employment contract with shares as part of the package and scope to grow into a longer-term role as Tricorder builds its engineering team. About IonQ: IonQ, Inc . [NYSE: IONQ] is the world's leading quantum platform and merchant supplier - delivering integrated quantum solutions across computing, networking, sensing, and security. IonQ's newest generation of quantum computers, the IonQ Tempo, is the latest in a line of cutting-edge systems that have been helping customers and partners including Amazon Web Services, and AstraZeneca achieve 20x performance results and accelerate innovation in drug discovery, materials science, financial modeling, logistics, cybersecurity, and defense. In 2025, the company achieved 99.99% two-qubit gate fidelity, setting a world record in quantum computing performance . Headquartered in College Park, Maryland, IonQ has operations in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Washington, Italy, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Our quantum computing services are available through all major cloud providers, while we also meet the needs of networking and sensing customers across land, sea, air, and space. IonQ is making quantum platforms more accessible and impactful than ever before. Location: Oxford, UK Office commitment: Hybrid The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our System Orchestration team in System Software at Oxford Ionics. In this role, you will be responsible for building the software that keeps our systems calibrated, decides what they do next and keeps the record of what they did, contributing to the team's mission of keeping our quantum computers running useful work around the clock. The trapped-ion quantum computers we are building will control 10,000 ions within two years, and all of that has to be kept in tune - settings that drift over minutes, hours and days. Without it a computer does not stop; it quietly starts producing invalid output. Calibration routines, scientists' experiments and customer workloads all compete for physical hardware, and our team builds the control plane that arbitrates that: it schedules and prioritises programs, hands exclusive access to one at a time and takes it back cooperatively, streams results while a program is still running, and keeps the record of everything that ran. It runs on every quantum computer in our fleet. Its job is to keep that machine busy and productive: running quantum programs rather than waiting in between, and running them in spec - on a machine still hitting the fidelity it is meant to hit. The ambition is for that to run without a person in the loop: machines that assess their own readiness, call for the calibrations they need, and keep a full history of how they were tuned. You'd work closely with the runtime team who own real-time control, the systems teams who build and maintain our quantum computers, and the operators and scientists who run them. You will own features end to end, from the API through to the rollout onto real machines. You'll play an important part in shaping the services that support our work in building the world's most advanced quantum systems. Previous exposure to quantum systems is not required. Responsibilities : In this position, you will work on the services that schedule work onto our quantum computers and keep the record of it, supporting the effective delivery of a control plane the whole fleet depends on. You'll have the opportunity to own real pieces of that system end to end, contributing directly to the success of the System Software function. Key responsibilities include: Build and extend the services that schedule work on our systems and keep the record of it. Build the mechanisms that decide when a system needs re-tuning, and get those calibrations run. Own what we persist: the data model, its migrations, and the code that reads and writes it. Produce the tests and harnesses that let our code be exercised against real hardware and against simulators. Work with the systems teams to roll releases out across the fleet and support them once they are running. Improve the observability of the code you ship. Take part in code review, and improve the APIs our internal users depend on Requirements: To be successful, you will need solid programming skills, an interest in the systems that keep long-running machines working, and either experience of a systems programming language or the appetite to learn one. We're looking for someone who can work comfortably in a Linux environment, cares about what happens to data when a service crashes or a migration goes wrong, and can contribute effectively within a fast moving, highly technical team. You'd be a great fit with: Strong programming skills in one or more mainstream programming languages. Experience with a systems programming language. Our System Orchestration layer is written in Rust, so either some Rust experience or the appetite to learn it. Comfort with relational databases and SQL; we use PostgreSQL. Some exposure to networked services and APIs, such as gRPC or REST. Exposure to schedulers, job queues or workflow engines - Celery, Airflow, Temporal, Slurm or similar. Comfort working on Linux, and debugging a service that is already running. Good communication skills both within software and across disciplines. A habit of producing appropriate tests and taking part in code review. Additional useful experience would include async programming, containers and Kubernetes, closed-loop systems that act on measured state, and scientific computing or research facilities. Benefits Be part of a team that's shaping the future of quantum. We offer more than just a role, you'll join a world class community of scientists, engineers and innovators working to unlock the full potential of quantum computing. We offer a range of benefits, including opportunities to further your career alongside industry leaders, a competitive salary with IonQ stock options, an annual performance bonus, generous annual leave, flexible hybrid working, private medical and dental insurance for you and your family, and much more. Join us and be part of the future of quantum computing. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. Our benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, matching 401(k), unlimited PTO and paid holidays, parental/adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided when a candidate receives an offer of employment. At IonQ, we believe in fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all while striving to identify and eliminate barriers. We empower employees to thrive by fostering a culture of autonomy, productivity, and respect. We are dedicated to creating an environment where individuals can feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. We are committed to equity and justice. We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. US Technical Jobs. The position you are applying for will require access to technology that is subject to U.S. export control and government contract restrictions. Employment with IonQ is contingent on either verifying "U.S. Person" (e.g., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum) status for export controls and government contracts work, obtaining any necessary license, and/or confirming the availability of a license exception under U.S. export controls. Please note that in the absence of confirming you are a U.S. Person for export control and government contracts work purposes, IonQ may choose not to apply for a license or decline to use a license exception (if available) for you to access export-controlled technology that may require authorization, and similarly, you may not qualify for government contracts work that requires U.S. Persons, and IonQ may decline to proceed with your application on those bases alone. Accordingly, we will have some additional questions regarding your immigration status that will be used for export control and compliance purposes, and the answers will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law. US Non-Technical Jobs. Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Remote Engineering Manager (Algorithms Team) (m/f/d)
Full TimeFully RemoteLead€100,000 - €100,000 / Year
pythondjangosnowflakedbtdata engineeringdbt+8

About RoomPriceGenie ✨🧞‍♂️ Founded in 2017, RoomPriceGenie is dedicated to helping hoteliers around the globe achieve optimal pricing. 🌍 We understand that many small hotels face challenges with digitalization, making their operations increasingly complex and often resulting in lost revenue. This is where we come in! We have developed a powerful solution that enables hotels to set the right prices in just seconds. ⏱️ Our state-of-the-art algorithm analyzes both internal hotel data and market trends to recommend pricing strategies that enhance revenue and improve booking rates. With customers spanning the globe—from the USA and Canada to Iceland, South Africa, China, Slovenia, Italy, and the UK—RoomPriceGenie has made a meaningful impact in the hospitality industry, and our clients love the results. ❤️ Now, we are excited to expand our customer base and spread the word about how we can support hoteliers in optimizing their pricing strategies. We invite you to join us on this journey! We actively encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds to enrich our team and drive innovation. Your Role As an Engineering Manager for the Algorithms team (Revenue Management Engine) at RoomPriceGenie, you will build and lead the team behind the core of our product: the pricing and forecasting engine that automatically prices rooms for thousands of hotels. This is the algorithmic and data heart of RoomPriceGenie, spanning the pricing algorithm, the forecasting models and the data pipelines that feed them. This is a leadership role. Your focus is the team: delivery, people and the connection to product goals. You stay technically credible and close to the work through design and code review, and you get hands-on when the team needs it, but you are not coding day to day. You balance delivery speed with long-term technical health and build an environment of trust and accountability. The role also reaches beyond your own team: we want you leading the way on technical improvements at the Product and Engineering department level, things like engineering processes and operational excellence, as a hands-on driver. You will work closely with a Product Manager and report to the Senior Engineering Manager. A core part of the job is turning a complex, data-heavy domain into reliable, measurable outcomes: shipping model and pipeline improvements, proving their impact through backtesting and clear quality metrics, and keeping pricing runs dependable at scale. We expect you to be a genuine partner to Product, able to challenge and shape what gets built, not only how. Who you'll lead You will lead a team of 4 engineers (3 Senior and 1 Staff). The role may also grow to include an Associate Engineering Manager over time. Your Responsibilities Build and lead a high-performing team across the pricing algorithm, forecasting and data pipelines, owning delivery, quality and the operational health of pricing runs. Grow your people through regular 1:1s, feedback, performance reviews and career development. Hire, onboard and develop engineers to keep the team balanced and strong. Partner closely with Product and challenge them: push back on direction, bring your own point of view and drive changes to what the team builds, not just how it builds. Translate business goals into clear engineering plans with measurable outcomes and realistic timelines. Use data (backtesting, model quality, before and after signals) to guide prioritisation. Balance delivery velocity with technical sustainability, addressing debt, scalability and reliability as part of delivery rather than after it. Provide technical oversight through design and code review, staying close enough to guide architecture and quality and to get hands-on when the team genuinely needs it. Act as a buffer between the team and external pressure, keeping focus and healthy team dynamics. Improve engineering processes and practices to increase clarity, alignment and predictable delivery. Lead technical improvements beyond your own team, at the Product and Engineering department level, for example engineering processes and operational excellence. We want you hands-on and driving these, not only sponsoring them. Your Profile Strong software engineering background with a track record of building and operating production systems, ideally with depth in backend and data-intensive or algorithmic domains. At least 5 years of experience, with several years genuinely managing engineers, including performance management. This is a role for an experienced manager, not a first step into leadership. Experience growing or managing other managers, for example an Associate Engineering Manager or Team Leads, is a plus. A strong product mindset with the confidence to challenge Product. You enjoy defining problems and validating solutions with PMs and you are comfortable disagreeing, proposing alternatives and driving them to a decision. Technically credible and willing to get hands-on when the team needs it, while spending most of your time leading rather than in the code day to day. Comfortable with our stack: Python/Django on the backend, with a data stack around Snowflake, dbt and Dagster. Exposure to forecasting, modelling or data engineering is a strong plus. Strong grasp of system design, architecture and engineering best practices. Excellent communication and leadership: you create clarity, trust and accountability, with a servant-leadership mindset toward your team. You look beyond your own team and enjoy driving technical improvements that raise the bar across the wider Product and Engineering org. Fluent in English and based in a European time zone (UTC+0 to UTC+2). What We Offer at RoomPriceGenie 💪 At RoomPriceGenie, we don't just offer jobs; we offer an adventure! 🚀 Join us in an exciting startup atmosphere where you can grow your career while changing the world for tens of thousands of independent hoteliers. 🌍 Our global and diverse team is fueled by passion and a shared mission.
