Engineering Group Lead, Mobile
AsanaWarsaw (Hybrid)12 days ago
ContractHybridMid
dentalmental healthtaxinsurancecoachinggenetics

Asana's Mobile Group builds the apps that keep millions of users connected to their work wherever they are. As the Engineering Group Lead for the Mobile Group in Warsaw, you will lead a team of 4 Engineering Managers and approximately 35 engineers who are responsible for Asana's iOS, Android, and Desktop apps. You will own the technical direction and execution of the Mobile Group and the growth of leaders on your team. You will also support Warsaw site strategy and operations as a member of senior leadership in Asana's Warsaw office.  This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do, and your recruiter can share more about the in-office requirements. We offer a Contract of Employment (UoP) for our employees in Poland. What you'll achieve Lead, coach, and develop a team of Engineering Managers and their teams of approximately 35 engineers, owning hiring, performance, and career growth across the Mobile Group. Drive the delivery of high-quality mobile experiences across multiple products, holding accountability for code quality and customer experiences that ship to production. Develop, in partnership with Product and Design leaders, a multi-product mobile strategy built on top of shared platform investments. Own relationships across the organization, managing up and out to advocate for the Mobile Group, removing blockers, and creating clarity in a fast-moving environment where many workstreams run in parallel. Serve as a senior leader at the Warsaw site by flexing into operational, cultural, and cross-functional support roles as needed while helping grow other leaders in Warsaw. About you You have several years of experience managing people managers and being accountable for a sizable engineering organization (30+ engineers). You have recent, hands-on experience shipping mobile applications. You thrive in high-complexity environments and can balance competing priorities gracefully. You have a bias for ownership: you chase things down, build relationships across teams, and create forward motion. You are a fast and curious learner. The Mobile Group touches many different problem spaces and team contexts; you need to absorb new information quickly and apply it. You have a low ego. You are as comfortable diving into technical and product details as you are presenting strategy to executive leadership.  You demonstrate curiosity about emerging technologies and a willingness to leverage them to enhance your team's productivity and decision-making. At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply. What we'll offer Generous, transparent and fair compensation system (base salary and RSUs) Contract of Employment (and the option of 50% tax deductible costs for author's rights usage in respect of applicable roles) Health insurance with dental and travel coverage (Lux Med) Breakfast and lunch catering on the days that you work from the office Career growth budget Home office setup budget Gym/Fitness card (MultiSport Plus) Mental Health Support through Modern Health (free therapy and coaching) Group life insurance MacBooks with all necessary accessories   For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 54.000 - 64.000 PLN gross per month (subject to all taxes and necessary deductions). The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, and benefits. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role. #LI-Hybrid   About us Asana is a leading platform for human + AI collaboration.   About Gusto At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy . AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process. About the Role: As a Finance Intern on Gusto's Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team, you'll spend 12 weeks working on real projects that shape how we run the business. You'll support leaders in Customer Experience, EPD, and Corporate Development, helping turn financial data into decisions about margin, cost to serve, and resourcing. Day to day, that means building financial reports, analyzing costs to find savings, and partnering with teams across Gusto on projects that move the team's roadmap forward. Along the way, you'll use AI tools and automation to work faster and go deeper than a traditional finance internship allows. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor and a team manager who will support you from onboarding through your final presentation. By the end of the summer, you'll have seen firsthand how finance works as a true partner to the business. Please note: We'll be offering only one cohort start and end date (Cohort 1: May 17, 2027 - August 6, 2027). Deadline to Apply: Monday, October 26th at 4:00 pm PST About the Team: You'll join Gusto's Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team, which provides financial, operational, and strategic support at the corporate, department, and product level as we scale to serve even more customers. Our partners sit directly inside business orgs like Customer Experience, EPD, and Corporate Development, translating financial data into operating decisions on margin, cost to serve, and resourcing. As Gusto evolves into an AI native company, we're using automation, predictive insights, and smarter data systems to define and defend our business model while accelerating growth. As a Finance Intern, you'll see firsthand how finance works as a true partner to the business rather than a back office function. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Work cross-functionally on high-impact projects that use data, automation, and AI-powered tools Build and maintain recurring financial/operational reporting for your partner org Analyze cost or margin drivers and summarize findings for non-finance stakeholders Support a defined roadmap project end-to-end alongside your mentor Partner with CX/EPD/Corp Dev counterparts on data requests and ad hoc analysis Here's what we're looking for: Rising junior or senior (entering your 3rd or 4th year after this internship) Demonstrates genuine interest in financial trends, technology innovation, and applying classroom knowledge to real business challenges Comfortable working in Excel/Google Sheets; curious about how AI tools can speed up analysis work Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment Our cash compensation amount for this role is $32.70/hr for undergraduate students in Denver and $42.07/hr for undergraduate students in New York. At Gusto, we don't use titles the traditional way, as a signal of rank or hierarchy. Instead, our titles describe two things at once — your craft (what you do, e.g. Engineering, Design) and your scope of ownership (what you're accountable for) — which is why you'll see something like "Head of X" instead of a rank word like "Director" that tells you neither. Because of this, the title on this posting may look different from what you'd expect based on the scope and seniority of the role, and from how similar roles are typically titled elsewhere. If you have questions about how this role compares to your current title or level, your recruiter can help translate. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.  When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees. Reliable, consistent presence: We expect regular and predictable attendance, whether you're working in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, so that you stay closely connected to your team, customers, and stakeholders in real time and ensure colleagues and customers receive the timely support and responsiveness they deserve. Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.  Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. If you require a medical or religious accommodation at any time throughout your candidate journey, please fill out this form and a member of our team will get in touch with you. About the Role: Gusto is seeking a Senior Fraud Investigations Analyst to join our Fraud Investigations team. In this role, you will independently conduct the most complex end-to-end fraud investigations involving account takeover, business email compromise, identity theft, payment fraud, and other emerging fraud typologies. Using a combination of investigative expertise, open-source intelligence, internal data, and AI-enabled tools, you will identify root causes, assess risk, and document investigative findings. Fraud investigations at Gusto present unique and intellectually engaging challenges. Our platform supports hundreds of thousands of small businesses across diverse industries, ownership structures, and geographies, creating a dynamic fraud landscape that requires strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and adaptability. Analysts encounter complex fact patterns, sophisticated social engineering schemes, and evolving attack vectors that often require balancing customer impact, operational considerations, and risk mitigation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep investigative work, thrives in ambiguity, and leverages AI as a core part of their workflow to improve efficiency, consistency, and investigative quality. About the Team: The Fraud Investigations team is responsible for investigating fraud impacting Gusto, its customers, and its financial partners. The team conducts complex investigations, supports customer remediation and fund recovery efforts, and partners with Risk, Financial Crime Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams to identify emerging threats and strengthen fraud prevention controls. Through detailed investigative work and root cause analysis, the team helps protect the integrity of Gusto's platform and the small businesses we serve. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Independently analyze account activity, transactional behavior, authentication data, customer communications, and external intelligence sources to surface fraud indicators and build well-supported investigative narratives Synthesize investigative findings into clear case narratives and prepare Unusual Activity Referrals (UARs) for Financial Crime Compliance partners when appropriate; escalate high-risk events with sound, risk-based remediation recommendations Support customers impacted by fraud and coordinate with external banking partners on fund recovery efforts, including Letters of Indemnity Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate alert triage, issue spotting, research, evidence gathering and documentation, while critically validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and compliance with Gusto's AI policies Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to surface emerging threats, close control gaps, and improve investigative tooling and AI-assisted workflows Mentor junior analysts on fraud typology identification, evidence gathering, and case narrative quality through case reviews and structured feedback Here's what we're looking for: 5+ years of fraud investigations, fraud detection, or similarly complex investigative work within a financial institution, FinTech, payment processor, or regulated environment Strong investigative writing and analytical skills with the ability to document complex fact patterns, develop defensible narratives, and assess risk across ambiguous scenarios Experience across fraud typologies including account takeover, business email compromise, identity theft, payment fraud, and social engineering Sound investigative judgment with the ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously, make risk-based recommendations under pressure, and communicate findings with empathy and clarity to customers, external institutions, and cross-functional stakeholders Experience using AI-enabled tools in day-to-day investigative workflows and the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with investigative standards Experience mentoring or providing structured feedback to junior investigators Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), CAMS, or other relevant financial crime certifications are a plus Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $89,165/yr - $112,942/yr in Denver and $110,640/yr -$136,456/yr for New York and San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Compensation for this position also includes an equity package and performance bonuses. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability.
