About Anthropic Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As a Product Manager, Technical, you will own and be responsible for building a world class support experience for Anthropic's customers and the Product Support team. You will partner with Product Support Operations, AI Support, Billing, Fraud, and Product Engineering teams to build the systems that decide how Anthropic's users get unblocked when something goes wrong, and how what they report turns into product fixes, in partnership with the product teams that own the experience. Claude will be the primary operator of that support experience. Partner with Product Support Operations, AI Support, and product engineering teams to own the systems behind the support experience end to end: the path from a recurring support driver to a shipped product fix, the Claude-based AI support layer that handles most inbound volume, and the tooling that helps human agents resolve what's left quickly and accurately. . Your north star is fewer support cases per user, and whole categories of cases eliminated, even as the product grows. The best outcome is a case that never gets opened because the product problem behind it was found and fixed. Everything in the support experience is in scope. You decide where to start. You'll define the end-to-end experience Claude delivers: diagnosing a billing failure, resolving it or escalating it, recognizing when the same failure is showing up across many customers, filing the bug with repro steps and a proposed fix, getting that to the engineering team that owns the driver, following up with the customer to confirm the issue was actually resolved, and confirming the category actually goes away once the fix ships. You will define and own the strategy and roadmap for the support-to-product feedback loop, including the escalation paths for billing, fraud, and high-visibility cases, and the metrics that show whether contact rate is falling. Responsibilities Deeply understand the needs of Product Support Operations, AI Support, Billing, Fraud, and the product engineering teams that own support drivers, from specialists handling enterprise escalations to engineers who need a support case turned into a reproducible bug they can fix. Define and iterate on the support-to-product loop: how a case is classified, how recurring drivers are surfaced in near real time with case examples and recommended fixes, how each driver gets a named owner, and how we confirm the fix decreased case volume. Own the metrics behind it: inbound case volume by driver, drivers fixed at the root, and time from first case to shipped fix, alongside the response-time and CSAT targets Product Support Operations already runs on. Own the customer's experience of getting unblocked: how quickly a user reaches a resolution and how little friction they hit on the way, whether Claude resolves the case or hands it to a specialist. Minimize the blast radius of novel issues. New models and product changes will keep creating new drivers no one can predict; catch each one at its first reports, assess impact, and get the fix prioritized while the affected group is still small. Partner with engineering and data science to build the systems that scale with Anthropic's growth: Claude as the first responder, the data pipeline behind driver detection, and the tooling that lets Claude hand a diagnosed case to the right team. Drive product strategy and roadmap for the in-house Claude support layer, including what Claude resolves on its own, what it escalates and to whom, and how far it goes toward filing and fixing the underlying product issue itself. Own the trade-off framework between intake reduction, response time, cost, and quality, making transparent prioritization decisions about which drivers get fixed first and communicating them clearly to Product Support and senior leadership. Build conviction about what support looks like when Claude is the primary operator, and translate that into a roadmap that gets Anthropic there ahead of the volume curve. You may be a good fit if you have 7+ years of product management experience, with deep exposure to support systems, customer operations tooling, billing or payments, or internal platforms that serve operations teams Experience taking technical platform products from infancy to scale: you've built something from the ground up and grown it to serve demanding internal or external engineering customers Track record of building products that balance the needs of multiple personas, and of making prioritization trade-offs between them and communicating them clearly Ability to internalize complex technical systems (case routing, billing and payments flows, LLM-based agents, data pipelines) and translate that understanding into a comprehensive product vision Fluent across functions: you're equally credible reading a failed-payment trace with engineers, walking a specialist through why a driver got deprioritized, and explaining intake trends to leadership A strong thesis on how AI changes support: you've thought deeply about what happens when the agent that answers the case can also diagnose, file, and fix what caused it, and you want to build that Experience scaling an LLM-based product or experience from prototype to real volume, and a clear view of what breaks on the way: quality drift, cost, latency, and user trust Scrappy and resourceful: you do what it takes to get things done in a fast-moving environment Strong candidates may have: Built or scaled the systems behind a high-volume support operation for consumer or developer products: case data pipelines, driver analytics, or LLM-based support agents. Shipped an LLM-based support or operations agent in production and understand the trust, escalation, and quality-measurement problems that come with it. Defined and operationalized contact-rate or case-deflection metrics, and a point of view on how those metrics change when the fix ships in the product instead of the help center. Scaled through hypergrowth in support-heavy environments (consumer subscriptions, developer platforms, or fintech). Experience getting product and engineering teams to own support drivers, with proven evidence of driving ownership through clear evidence and product quality. Flex is building the AI-native private bank for business owners . We're re-architecting the entire financial system for entrepreneurs—from the first dollar a business earns to how that value compounds, moves, and is ultimately spent in real life. Banking, credit, payments, personal finance, and financial operations—rebuilt from the ground up as a single, intelligent system. Flex is the full financial home for ambitious owners. Since launching publicly in September 2023 , Flex has scaled from zero to nine-figure annualized revenue , with a clear path to profitability by late 2026 . We move fast, ship relentlessly, and operate with extreme ownership. Our customers are affluent business owners ($3–$200M in revenue) —the backbone of the economy and one of the most underserved segments in finance. They're stuck with outdated banks and fragmented tools. We're replacing all of it. The opportunity is massive: a ~$1T+ revenue market hiding in plain sight. Our ambition is to build a $100B+ company by delivering a product that is fundamentally better—not incrementally improved. Flex has raised $100M+ in equity and $300M+ in debt. - Mission-critical problems : We build software that directly controls how money moves at scale. - High bar, low ego : Small teams, exceptional people, real ownership. - Speed over comfort : We prioritize execution, quality, clarity, and results. - Enduring impact : What we're building will define how a generation of owners runs their businesses. Team & Locations We hire exceptional people who want to build hard things and see their work matter immediately. Roles are available in: San Francisco, Miami, New York, and fully remote. Flex Fuels Ambition. About the role Flex moves real money at a serious scale, and someone has to make sure it only moves for the right reasons. We're hiring our first Financial Crimes Analysts to be that someone, and to build the function around them. This is a net-new role. You'll report directly to the Head of Financial Crimes and work side by side with the people who designed our financial crime program. Once a customer is through the door, you own what happens next: monitoring their activity, investigating what looks wrong, deciding what is suspicious, and writing the narrative that backs the decision. Your first priority will be working through our alert and case backlog and keeping the queue moving, which means a lot of hands-on investigation from day one. Our processes are still being built, so you'll also notice what's clunky, document it, and help simplify it. As the backlog comes under control, you'll have more room for bigger improvements. The scope is broader than a typical analyst role because the function is still taking shape, and the people who join first will set its standards and its reputation with our partners. This is a strong fit if you have a few years of hands-on financial crimes experience, enjoy digging into cases, and want to grow from running a process into helping design one, with a clear path into broader program responsibilities as the team grows. What you'll own You'll be a core part of financial crime detection and investigation at Flex. Post-onboarding risk. Own the question "is this customer's activity legitimate?" from the moment an alert fires to the moment it is cleared, escalated, or filed. The queue and the backlog. Your first priority is working through our alert backlog and keeping the queue current, with an eye on both quality and speed, so real risk gets the scrutiny it deserves and good customers aren't slowed down by noise. The investigation standard. Help set the bar for what a strong case narrative looks like here: clear, well supported, and defensible to a regulator or bank partner without a follow-up call. Detection coverage. Flag the typologies, patterns, and blind spots you see across cases and bring them to Risk, Operations, and Engineering, so they can become better rules and fewer false positives. The process. Document what works and flag what's clunky as you go. As the backlog comes under control, you'll have room to take on bigger improvements. Your voice. As one of the first official Financial Crimes Analysts at Flex, you'll see where the process works and where it doesn't, and you'll have a real voice in how the team grows. What you'll do Detect and decide Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts, applying BSA/AML typologies to separate genuinely suspicious activity from false positives Investigate unusual activity across accounts, payments, and cards, including patterns that point to money laundering, fraud, account takeover, and other illicit behavior Escalate higher-risk cases to supervisory review with a clear recommendation, not just a pile of facts Support UAR and SAR filings, working alongside senior team members and building toward owning filings end to end Investigate and document Write case narratives so clear and well supported that a reviewer, examiner, or bank partner can follow your reasoning without a call Conduct enhanced due diligence on existing customers whose activity raises concerns, and refresh customer risk profiles when behavior no longer matches what we were told at onboarding Pick up cases handed over by our KYC team when a flagged account needs a deeper activity review, and hand back what you learn so onboarding decisions get sharper Keep accurate, complete records in our case management system Build the program Help flag the patterns and process gaps behind noisy alerts or missed risk, and help turn them into better detection rules and simpler procedures Partner with Risk, Operations, Support, and Engineering to close open requests and, over time, tune monitoring Support quality assurance and file reviews, including for our bank partner program Stay current on evolving AML typologies and regulatory guidance, and bring what you learn back to the team What we're looking for You're comfortable with ambiguity, you make sound calls with incomplete information, and you can work a high-volume queue without losing quality. You have 1–3 years in BSA/AML compliance, transaction monitoring, fraud operations, or a related financial crimes role Hands-on experience dispositioning transaction monitoring alerts in a platform such as Sardine, Unit21, Actimize, or similar, with a working knowledge of AML typologies Exposure to fintech, payments, card programs, or BaaS program compliance Experience tuning detection rules or working with data and SQL to investigate patterns Working knowledge of KYC/CDD requirements and BSA obligations Exposure to suspicious activity reporting, including drafting narratives or supporting UAR/SAR filings Strong written communication: you can explain why something is or isn't suspicious in plain language and summarize complex findings concisely High attention to detail, plus the ability to manage a queue and prioritize well A self-driven, growth mindset: you don't wait to be handed the next problem, and when you see a clunky step or a noisy rule, you fix it and write down the better way Bonus points CAMS or another AML certification, completed or in progress Compensation Final compensation within this range will be based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance. This position is also eligible for equity compensation. Flex offers medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
