Using advanced technology, all solutions are designed with SMEs in mind. With quick onboarding, low fees and innovative features, we thrive on making data driven decisions to serve our mission: to help SMEs save time and money so they can get back to doing what they love. Tide facts: Tide is available for UK, Indian, German and French SMEs Over 2 million members across UK and India Over $300 million raised in funding Over 2,800 Tideans globally Recognised with Great Place to Work certification three years in a row, and among India's Top 50 Best Workplaces in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance in 2026 We have offices in Central London, with a member support and technology centre in Sofia, Bulgaria, technology centres in Serbia, Romania, Lithuania and Hyderabad and offices in Gurugram, New Delhi, Berlin, Paris and Luxembourg ABOUT THE ROLE: Tide is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering organisation behind KYX (KYC and KYB). Our vision for KYX is a world where every genuine business, business owner, their team, and everyone connected to them, onboards to Tide in minutes, unlocks the products they need as they grow, and never has to think twice about their data, while we identify bad actors, stop them at the door, continuously review their activity and off-board them the moment they're found. You will be accountable for engineering strategy, organisation and execution across three domains. Onboarding KYX covers identity and access for registration and login, due diligence policy execution and vendor orchestration across the onboarding journey, and the risk scoring and agentic AI that assesses new applicants. Continuous KYX covers ongoing due diligence through periodic and event-triggered reviews, and how business owners bring their own team members onto their account. Risk Scoring is the KYX Scoring & ML team whose models power decisions across both domains. This role sits at the intersection of regulated risk operations, member-facing conversion and applied AI. KYX Ops and KYX Policy set the rules you build for, Second Line of Defence sets the risk appetite, and our regulators set the bar. We need someone who can raise onboarding conversion and due diligence quality while driving the cost of KYX servicing per member down, and who can scale agentic solutions into workflows where a wrong answer has consequences for a member and for Tide. As Director of Engineering, KYX you will Own the engineering strategy and organisation for KYX, from onboarding identity, access and due diligence through continuous monitoring to risk scoring, unifying leadership that today sits in separate Onboarding and Continuous KYX lines. Lead engineering across backend, frontend, data science and ML engineering, distributed across Hyderabad, Delhi, Sofia, Belgrade, Bucharest and Vilnius. Own KYX Scoring & ML as a shared capability serving both onboarding and ongoing decisioning, including the model lifecycle end to end from development through backtesting and staged rollout to production monitoring. Scale agentic AI in regulated workflows, from onboarding risk scoring through to screening, review and verification, in line with Tide's agentic governance framework. Work with KYX Ops, KYX Policy, Second Line of Defence and Product across the UK, EU and India, and with IAM on the still-to-be-sharpened boundary around login and access. Deliver measurable outcomes: higher automated decisioning rates, better due diligence and screening quality, and a falling KYX cost per member. Build once, deploy globally, and keep market-specific logic isolated. This is one of the most important engineering roles at Tide. You will shape how quickly and how well we onboard members, how confidently we scale into new markets under our own licences, and how far applied AI can compound into a lasting advantage in a regulated environment. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Experience leading engineering organisations in identity, onboarding, fraud, financial crime or another regulated decisioning domain. Strong track record of turning platform investment into measurable outcomes: conversion, due diligence quality, unit economics and workflow automation. Experience taking machine learning from development into production at scale, and owning model performance once live. Experience operating in a regulated environment, working with Ops, Policy and second line risk and compliance functions, Strong judgement across organisation design, delivery, platform strategy, data architecture and technical quality. Ability to lead distributed teams across multiple markets and unify previously separate engineering lines behind one roadmap. Experience deploying AI or agentic systems inside regulated workflows, with a clear view on governance, evaluation and human oversight, would be a bonus. Technical Configuration Manager

Before the detail, here's the challenge you'd help us solve. We build the embodied intelligence that moves real vehicles safely, and the ecosystem a billion machines will run on in the future. Very few people in AI can say this. Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that. Here's what this particular role covers. 🛠️ About our Technical Process Excellence Team Wayve's Technical Process Excellence team helps engineering teams apply practical, effective development processes. Working across engineering, product and quality, we bring consistency and traceability to how engineering work products, changes and releases are managed throughout the development lifecycle. As Configuration Manager, you'll own configuration and change management across Wayve's full V-model development lifecycle. You'll bring proven automotive rigour and adapt it to Wayve's pace, shaping processes that give teams the control and evidence they need without weighing them down with unnecessary administration. 🧠 Your day-to-day Build and maintain the configuration item list across the full V-model, keeping requirements, architecture, software, verification evidence and releases clearly identified and controlled. Run change management in Jira, coordinating reviews, defining review checklists and state transitions, and ensuring only intended, approved changes are implemented. Establish and maintain consistent baselines across Jira, GitHub, Jama Connect, Enterprise Architect, Google Drive and Notion, ensuring teams can identify and work from the correct versions. Support requirements management, including requirements structures, attributes, traceability, baselining, change management and tooling. Partner with engineering teams and process owners to identify gaps, maintain configuration status records, conduct configuration audits and prepare evidence for internal, customer and external assessments. 🧩 What you'll be working on: Defining, implementing and continuously improving configuration and change management across the engineering lifecycle, connecting work products and releases through end-to-end traceability. Acting as process owner for Automotive SPICE SUP.8 Configuration Management and SUP.10 Change Request Management, shaping how Wayve meets assessment expectations through practical, proportionate processes. Reviewing and finalising the Change Request process with engineering, product and quality, and creating and maintaining project-specific Change & Configuration Management Plans. Establishing folder structures, naming conventions and document templates that make engineering content consistent, accessible and easier to control. Improving workflows, tooling, automation, metrics and guidance across configuration and requirements management, reducing manual effort while strengthening control and assessment evidence. 🙌 You should apply if: You have automotive experience and have helped establish a full development lifecycle end-to-end, working across software, systems engineering and requirements management. You bring proven configuration and change management experience, including configuration item lists, baselines, change control, status accounting and configuration audits, alongside practical naming conventions and templates. You're proactive, organise your work effectively and can drive implementation largely independently, taking ownership from defining an approach through to making it work in practice. You communicate clearly and confidently across engineering teams and are comfortable holding the line on process discipline with senior stakeholders while maintaining constructive working relationships. You're pragmatic and can adapt established automotive practices to Wayve's context, defining the right level of process rather than over-engineering the solution. You're familiar with modern engineering toolchains such as Git/GitHub, Jira, Jama Connect or equivalent, and understand how to maintain control and traceability across tools. Ideally, you have good working knowledge of Automotive SPICE, particularly SUP.8, SUP.9, SUP.10 and requirements engineering processes. Experience managing requirements and traceability in Jama Connect or a comparable tool, and improving or automating engineering lifecycle, configuration or compliance workflows, would also be valuable. Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434 or other automotive engineering standards, or an intacs Automotive SPICE Process Expert or Assessor qualification, would be a plus. 🌱 Not ticking every box? That's totally okay! If you're passionate about autonomy and keen to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement. More about Wayve: 🚀 Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency. We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines. Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve's mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility. How we work 💻- Locations & Flexible Working: Our main hubs are in London, Sunnyvale, Yokohama, Herzliya, Vancouver and Leonberg. We operate a hybrid working model that combines in-person collaboration in our dedicated office spaces with focused time working remotely. This gives our teams the connection and energy of working together, alongside the flexibility to do their best work in a way that fits their lives. 🔍 The Interview Process: Our process is clear and respectful of your time: Initial call / recruiter screen (30 minutes) Competency Interviews (Hiring manager call; 1 hour) Deep-dive technical interviews (Presentation; 75 minutes) Final interview : mission & values alignment (45 minutes). We'll always explain the format and work around your availability. What's in it for you (Location dependant): 💰 Salaries benchmarked against the market annually ✅ Hybrid working, core hours and the chance to work hands on in vehicle workshops and labs 📚 Learning and development budgets with support for training, conferences and growth 🩺 Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, retirement or pension where applicable, access to therapists, wellbeing partnerships, team socials and more A quick, honest note before you apply. Wayve is not a mature, fully-structured place with the playbook already written. Much of how we work is still being written, and if you join, you'll help write it. That suits people who want real ownership more than people who need a settled structure from day one. If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to spend your time on, we'd really like to hear from you. At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law. Validation-ready architecture: Translate integration needs and safety assumptions into clear requirements that can be tested and verified. Program planning and risk management: Identify integration complexity, technical gaps, dependencies, risks and required partner deliverables to support realistic planning and informed decisions. 🙌 You should apply if You have systems and software architecture experience in ADAS, autonomous driving, embedded software or vehicle systems, particularly at the software–vehicle interface. It would also be great if you bring: A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience working within an automotive Tier 1 supplier or delivering automotive OEM integration projects. Knowledge of generative AI, large language models and transformer architectures.
