What we're looking for Do you like knowing exactly why a number moved? As an FP&A Data Analyst at ARQ, you'll own the data foundations behind our revenue, cost and management reporting. You'll sit between Finance and Engineering: building the models that tell us how the business is performing, keeping them accurate every day, and turning them into insight that leadership uses to make decisions. This is a hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable in a dbt project or a Python codebase as in a P&L. You'll work closely with Finance, Treasury and Engineering, and your work will feed management, investor and regulatory reporting directly. What you'll be doing Own the finance data layer: Maintain and extend our dbt repo. That means building and refactoring models, writing tests, and keeping finance data clean, documented and reliable. Revenue and cost models: Build and maintain the models behind revenue, unit economics and operations costs (payment rails, FX, card, banking partners, vendors) across our markets. Management accounts: Support daily and monthly management accounts on both accrual and cash basis. Reconcile them to source systems and explain movements. Budgeting and forecasting: Feed actuals into the budget and forecast, run variance analysis, and help Finance understand what is driving performance. Python services: Help maintain and improve the internal Python services and pipelines that support finance reporting and reconciliation. Data mapping and requirements: Map data sources across our product and payments stack, and document business logic and assumptions so others can trust and reuse your work. Onboard new business: When we launch a new product, partner or market, make sure it flows correctly into financial reporting, controls and processes. Dashboards and reporting: Build and improve dashboards with Finance and Controllership that track key metrics and surface business drivers. Anomalies and controls: Spot breaks, unusual spikes or data quality issues early, find the root cause, and fix it at the source. Data literacy: Help the wider team understand and self-serve finance data. What you'll need 3+ years in a data, analytics or FP&A role, ideally in fintech, banking or payments Strong SQL and solid Python Hands-on experience with dbt (or a similar transformation tool) and version control (Git) A good grasp of financial statements, management accounts and core finance concepts (accruals, revenue recognition, unit economics) A quantitative background, through education or experience Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset, while still able to work to tight deadlines Clear communication: you can explain a variance to a CFO and a data model to an engineer Initiative to automate repetitive work and improve how things are done Nice to have Experience with regulatory or external reporting Exposure to reconciliations, treasury or general ledger data Experience with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Power BI) and orchestration tools (Airflow or similar) Experience maintaining production code: code review, testing, CI/CD Spanish or Portuguese proficiency Benefits Competitive salary Sign-on stock options bonus, so you share in the company's success Discretionary performance bonus (stock options) Paid annual leave Real ownership of work that directly affects how the business is run The latest technology to work with A strong team that will help you grow your skills Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

About Us Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world's best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar. Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes. 2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We've scaled to $200M+ in ARR , with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler. We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law. Joining Legora means three things. We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions. We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback. We grow together: as a team and with our customers. Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you're driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place. The role As a Senior Data Scientist for Product at Legora you will turn data into decisions. You'll sit close to the business, taking questions end-to-end: shaping the metric, modelling the data in dbt, running the analysis, and making the recommendation. You'll pull in new data sources when you need to. Insights are useful; impact is what we hire for. We're an AI-first data team . We believe the data function should be redesigned around what AI now makes possible, not retrofitted with it, and we want someone excited to help define what that looks like in practice. There's no single profile we hire for. Some of us are strongest at data modelling and analytics engineering, some at experimentation and causal inference, some at machine learning, some at stakeholder influence. You'll likely be excellent at one or two of these and competent across the rest. That's the bar. We're a small, centralised team supporting the whole company, hiring for the person , not the seat. Depending on your strengths and where we have the biggest gap when you join, you could be embedded primarily with: Product : instrumentation, feature adoption, user behaviour, A/B testing, shaping the roadmap with PMs and designers. Finance & RevOps : ARR, NRR, forecasting, board reporting, pricing analytics across a 40-country footprint, and unit economics for an AI-native product. Growth & Marketing : acquisition funnels, attribution, campaign measurement, lifecycle analytics, and what actually moves enterprise legal buyers. GTM & Customer Success : pipeline analytics, customer health, expansion signals, and retention drivers in a category that didn't exist three years ago. You'll partner directly with leaders across Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM, most of whom are unusually data-fluent and will happily open a SQL editor with you. Your work will directly influence how we prioritise, how we sell, how we price, and how we build. What you will be doing Partner with stakeholders across Product, Finance, GTM, Growth, and beyond to translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses and clear recommendations. Define the metrics that matter, design the experiments or analyses that test them, and measure the impact of what we ship. Conduct deep-dive analyses on the questions that move the business, and proactively surface the questions nobody is asking yet. Model the data you need for your work in dbt, pulling in new sources when necessary, and partner closely with data engineering on anything that needs to scale beyond your immediate use case. Build dashboards and reporting that scale beyond you, so the company can answer its own questions where possible. Help shape how the data team operates as we scale: standards, tooling, ways of working. What you'll need Strong proficiency in SQL and Python . Solid grasp of data modelling and what it takes to build analytical work that is reliable and trusted. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence decisions through data storytelling, including pushing back when the data doesn't support what someone wants to do. Genuine depth in at least one of the following, with competence across the rest and curiosity to grow: Data modelling and analytics engineering (dbt, dimensional modelling, semantic layers, self-service) Experimentation and causal inference (A/B test design, quasi-experiments, statistical rigour) Machine learning and applied data science (forecasting, prediction, segmentation, evaluation) Product analytics and metric design (funnels, cohorts, adoption frameworks, North Star metrics) Nice to have Experience in a product-led or SaaS environment, ideally B2B. Hands-on experience with our stack: Snowflake, dbt, Hex, Dagster . Prior experience as an early data hire at a fast-growing company, i.e. you've built the muscle, not inherited it. Most importantly, you are someone who "Gets stuff done" and understands building a $10bn company isn't always glamorous and takes hard work and long hours. Thrives in a fast-paced environment where the answers aren't always clear and processes are few. Is genuinely domain-curious. You don't need to have worked on every part of a business, but you should be excited to. Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating an inclusive, high-performance culture where everyone can do their best work. We welcome people of all backgrounds and don't discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. About CuspAI CuspAI is the frontier AI company on a mission to solve the breakthrough materials needed to power human progress. While nature took billions of years to perfect molecules, we are harnessing AI to unlock trillion-dollar materials breakthroughs in months, not millennia. Our founding team is the most cited in the world, comprised of world-class researchers in AI, chemistry and engineering. We are working on some of the hardest and most important challenges including energy, clean water, the future of compute, and carbon capture, and this is just the start of what our 'search engine' for next-generation materials will unlock. We invite you to be part of a diverse, innovative team at the intersection of AI and materials science, working to create impactful partnerships that drive innovation, scalability, and industry collaboration. This work matters. Your work matters. We're on the cusp of the on-demand materials era. Join us. The Role Due to rapid growth in our partner lab network, we are seeking a Scientific Product Manager to join our Product team and bring partner labs and their experimental workflows onto the CuspAI platform. Your impact This is an exciting opportunity to join the product team at CuspAI, working closely with materials scientists, ML researchers and platform engineers to make AI-driven experimentation work in real laboratories. As one of a small team of Scientific Product Managers, you will take ownership of a set of partner labs and the lab integration work around them, translating what each lab actually needs into requirements our engineers and ML researchers can build against. Alongside the product work, you will spend real time with your partners' teams and their experimental data. What You Will Do Product Requirements & Roadmap Shape and prioritise the roadmap for how experimental data, protocols and campaigns get into the CuspAI platform, together with your fellow Scientific Product Managers, the engineering lead and the wider product team. Write requirements, specifications and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from, covering experiment types, instrument integrations and LIMS/ELN connections, and work with the data team on the underlying data models and provenance. Contribute to decisions on what we build, what we integrate, and what we leave to partners' existing systems. Partner Lab Onboarding Lead technical discovery with the partner labs you take on: map their workflows, instruments, sample logic and data systems, and pin down the true experimental unit and the parameters that matter. Own onboarding for your partner labs from scoping to the first closed-loop campaign, and turn each onboarding into reusable patterns and documentation shared across the team so the next one is faster. Act as the main scientific counterpart for the partner labs you look after, and represent the product in partner meetings, workshops and conferences. Closed-Loop Campaigns Work with ML researchers to design optimisation campaigns (e.g. Bayesian optimisation) that respect real experimental constraints such as throughput, noise and failed samples. Define how platform-driven campaigns are validated, including benchmarks against manual or legacy workflows, success metrics and the evidence we bring to partners. Must Have Skills and Qualifications: PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or a related experimental discipline, or equivalent experience in scientific research. Hands-on experience with high-throughput or automated experimentation (e.g. robotic synthesis, combinatorial libraries, automated characterisation, or self-driving / closed-loop labs) in industry, a national lab or research institute, or academia. Proven track record of translating scientific or process needs into requirements for engineers, software teams or automation vendors, and of validating that what was built works in the lab. Firsthand understanding of how experimental data is produced and where it fails: which metadata and provenance matter, instrument quirks, data quality issues, and what makes a dataset usable for machine learning. Depth in at least one materials domain (e.g. semiconductors and thin films including photovoltaics, catalysis and electrochemistry, energy materials including batteries, polymers and formulations, or separations and surfaces) and the curiosity to work across others. Working knowledge of Python for data handling and analysis; comfortable working with APIs and data schemas. Strong communicator and a proven collaborator, comfortable working directly with external partner labs as well as multidisciplinary science, ML, product and engineering teams. Bonus Points (But Not Critical): Direct experience with closed-loop optimisation in an automated setting, such as Bayesian optimisation, active learning or design of experiments. Experience with research data management, LIMS/ELN systems, FAIR data or metadata schemas, and familiarity with lab data standards (e.g. SiLA 2, AnIML, Allotrope). Instrument integration experience, including vendor software, data formats, and scheduling or orchestration. Product or project management experience, such as roadmaps, user research, external research collaborations or vendor relationships. We are equally open to strong experimental scientists making their first move into product. Experience working in industry at a materials, chemicals, energy or deep-tech company, or closely with industry at a research institution or national lab. Experience coordinating work across multiple labs, sites or countries. Additional Considerations This role could be based in any of our locations with the expectation of being in the office three days per week. Additionally, there may be regular travel required to partner labs and other locations for collaboration and project work. What We Offer A competitive salary: We value and reward impact and growth Equity in CuspAI: You have a stake in the success of the company Time off to stay fresh: 28 days holiday (DE, NL, UK) or 21 days holiday (JP, SG, US), in addition to local public holidays 'Gold Standard' parental leave: 26 weeks (primary caregiver) and 12 weeks (secondary caregiver) at full pay - we look after you and your family while we work on the most important materials discovery problems together Professional development budget: We invest in your career development so you can stay up to date with the latest industry knowledge or add to your skills to increase impact and growth Solve meaningful problems: See how your work has a direct impact on advancing materials science and solving sustainability and climate-related problems through the creation and application of bleeding-edge SOTA technology and revolutionary techniques True interdisciplinary teamwork: Be part of a deeply collaborative environment bridging AI research, computational chemistry, and experimental science - work with world-class researchers and engineers who enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting each other Join us in shaping the future of materials with AI. Together, we can create groundbreaking solutions for a more sustainable world. CuspAI is an equal opportunities employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace . We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding), veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable law. We actively encourage applications from all backgrounds and value the unique perspectives and contributions that diversity brings to our team. Please let us know if you require any specific adjustments during or after the interview process. We will do everything we can within reason to accommodate.
