Manufacturing Engineer

WHO WE ARE Proxima Fusion is Europe's fastest-growing fusion company and the continent's best-funded fusion player, as well as the first spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP). Backed by over €650M and powered by a growing team across Munich, Zurich, and Oxford, we are developing the hardware and infrastructure needed to deliver the world's first commercial stellarator fusion power plant. Our concept advances the most mature fusion technology out there, the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator, through two next-generation machines: Alpha and Stellaris. Our work combines stellarator optimization, advanced computation, machine learning, and high-temperature superconducting magnets to unlock higher-performance designs that were previously out of reach. Turning these designs into a functioning fusion power plant requires excellence and ownership across every discipline, from physics and engineering to software, manufacturing, law, and business functions. BY JOINING OUR TEAM YOU'LL GET TO Build the machine that builds the machine . Join TechOps at the forefront of advanced manufacturing, we're building the production system that will enable commercial fusion. The Production lines, tooling, and processes are being developed from the ground up; you'll create the ways of working, not inherit them. Work at the frontier of manufacturing technology . Bring your creativity to evaluate, qualify, and deploy processes with no industry playbook, every component you build and every process you shape goes directly into the core of the stellarator magnet technology. Do work that matters, and see it grow . The hardware you build is the product and your career grows with it, from prototyping and process development through quality and industrialization, alongside exceptional colleagues from around the world. Make an impact you can point to . In a small, fast-moving team, your calls on equipment, quality, and process directly shape how a world-class deep-tech company produces superconducting magnets with results visible on the shop floor, not buried in a slidedeck. YOUR IMPACT Develop and industrialize the manufacturing processes used to build HTS magnet coils. Translate magnet designs into repeatable, high-yield production processes in collaboration with design, physics, and production teams. Own the tooling, fixtures, and quality systems required to deliver consistent and reliable manufacturing outcomes. Lead process development from prototype builds through the transition to full-scale manufacturing. WHAT YOU WILL DO Develop, qualify, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for HTS coil winding, insulation, impregnation, and joining, working closely with magnet design and materials engineers. Drive design-for-manufacturing/design-for-assembly (DFM (Design for Manufacturing)/DFA (Design for Assembly)) collaboration with the design team, acting as the manufacturing voice in design reviews to keep coil designs buildable, scalable, and serviceable. Design, procure, and validate tooling, fixtures, and jigs for precision winding and assembly of non-planar coil geometries, including capability studies where needed. Define assembly sequences, work instructions, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and visual aids for technicians, and maintain this documentation as designs evolve. Define and implement process controls and inspection methods (dimensional, electrical, structural) to catch defects early and protect conductor integrity. Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) campaigns, process trials and pilot builds, and provide hands-on floor support during prototype and early production builds. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions (8D (Eight Disciplines problem-solving methodology), 5-Why, fishbone, etc.) for yield, quality, and cycle-time issues, and apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to drive measurable process improvement. Support supplier qualification and incoming inspection criteria for tooling, components, and outsourced subassemblies. Manage engineering/process change control as designs and processes mature. Collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, supply chain, and test engineering to resolve manufacturability issues early and support the ramp from prototype to serial production. WHO YOU ARE 3+ years specifying, procuring, installing, commissioning, and qualifying production equipment and/or automation for component manufacturing lines and/or assembly cells — including RFQ (Request for Quote) ownership, supplier management, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)/SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and production ramp. Hands-on experience designing tooling and fixtures for low-volume, high-precision production, and proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) plus a solid grasp of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Track record of writing clear work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation in a production or NPI(New Product Introduction) environment. Working knowledge of process control, statistical methods, and structured root-cause problem solving (SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), 8D). Experience supporting prototype or first-article builds directly on the floor, not just from a desk. Strong communication skills in German or English. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Nice to have: Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for engineering change control and manufacturing documentation management (e.g. Arena, Enovia). Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)/Platforms (e.g. Tulip, Delmia). Experience working in a research-to-product transition environment, where designs and processes evolve rapidly. Experience scaling a process from prototype to serial production in a startup or fast-moving environment. INTERVIEW PROCESS Recruiter Interview (30-60 min) Technical Screening (30 min) Technical Panel (3x60 min) CEO call (30 min) This role sits at L2/L3 of our framework, please inquire during the recruitment process for further information At Proxima Fusion, our mission is bold: making limitless clean energy a reality. To get there, we need a high-performing, diverse team that brings different perspectives, challenges assumptions, and builds together with purpose. We know that diversity of thought and experience leads to better ideas, stronger execution, and a more resilient team. We don't look at how you identify, what you look like, who you choose to worship or what ethnicity you are. We care about what you can bring to the table. Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

About Radiant Radiant is redefining how AI infrastructure is built. We design and operate AI-native infrastructure platforms engineered for sovereignty, performance, and scale — powering GPU-native workloads, multi-tenant control planes, and high-performance AI systems for the most demanding environments. We are building purpose-built AI infrastructure from powered land, to compute, to software. As we scale our operations and deploy capital into the next generation of AI infrastructure, we are looking to expand our finance team with leaders who can combine technical strength with execution excellence and are driven to build. Radiant was established by Brookfield, a leading global alternative asset manager with over US$1 trillion of assets under management across real estate, infrastructure, renewable power and transition, private equity and credit. Brookfield's global relationships, investment expertise and access to long-term institutional capital provide Radiant with a differentiated platform from which to develop, finance and operate AI infrastructure assets. This combination of entrepreneurial execution and institutional sponsorship enables Radiant to pursue large-scale GPU and AI infrastructure opportunities globally. About the Role Location: UK (occasional travel to data centre and test environments, confirm exact cadence) | Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent | Reports to: VP Information Security We're looking for a Principal/ Staff Security Engineer to join Infosec, reporting to our VP InfoSec. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will need a deep, technical understanding of Kubernetes clusters, network architecture and access controls to manage our production environment. As we move toward owning and operating more of our own data centre footprint, the accuracy of our firewall policies, network access controls and technical security testing matters more than ever. This role will build our internal penetration testing capability, so testing becomes more targeted and accurate over time, working alongside our external testers rather than replacing them. You will need to work proactively across engineering teams so knowledge does not sit with one person alone. What You'll Do Security Testing & Audit: Audit firewall policies and network access controls across the estate. Conduct internal penetration testing, working alongside our external penetration testing partners. Build a penetration testing strategy and cadence that improves accuracy and coverage over time. Identify and help remediate security gaps found through testing and audit. Production Estate & Technical Depth: Build and maintain a deep, working understanding of our production environment, including Kubernetes clusters, network architecture and access controls. Investigate technical issues directly and dig into root cause, rather than relying on reported findings alone. Support the VP Infosec on controls testing across the Production Estate. Access & Environment Management: Own and maintain SSO and systems access configuration. Build and maintain penetration testing environments, including small Kubernetes clusters as needed. Maintain the tooling and infrastructure supporting security testing. Collaboration: Work proactively across engineering teams to avoid becoming a single point of knowledge or failure. Document processes, findings and configurations so knowledge is shared, not siloed. Partner with the Head of Security Operations on shared governance, risk reporting and security testing. What You'll Bring Strong Kubernetes experience, with the technical depth to investigate and resolve issues directly. Experience auditing firewall policies and network access controls. Experience conducting or coordinating penetration testing. Comfortable maintaining and operating security tooling and environments on an ongoing basis. Strong written communication skills, given the solo nature of the role. Experience operating as the sole security engineer, or within a small security team. Nice to Have Network engineering experience or strong networking fundamentals. Background in data centre environments, or related infrastructure environments. Experience with AI security specifically. Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2, and an understanding of how technical controls map to audit evidence. Why Join Radiant Build Radiant's internal penetration testing capability at a moment when our security and compliance obligations are scaling fast, as a Brookfield portfolio company moving into owned data centre operations. Work directly with our VP Infosec and Head of Security Operations, protecting both our corporate and production estates. Be part of a team whose work protects the infrastructure powering sovereign and enterprise AI deployments globally. Develop your career in a Brookfield backed company with resources, mentorship and genuine growth opportunities. Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

CHAPTERS Group AGBerlin (Fully Remote)yesterday
Full TimeFully RemoteMid
pythongoazureterraformdockerci/cd+11

About CHAPTERS Group CHAPTERS Group is a listed German serial acquirer of vertical market software companies. We have grown 10x in the past five years and now own 55+ companies. Each one runs its own business, close to its customers. We help them get stronger without taking over. AI is one of the biggest opportunities we see for them, and it only works if the people in these companies actually use it. Tasks The Role German (C1+) and English required You make sure 10+ software companies get real value out of AI. You work embedded in one of our portfolio platforms. You own the AI Hub for its companies. The AI Hub is our Open WebUI-based AI platform: each company has its own instance in its own tenant, and the data stays in the EU. You keep it running, roll it out, fix what breaks, and help each company's people use it well. You are part of the AI Core Team in the CTO office. You work closely with us: you bring back what you see in the field, test new capabilities, and help shape the platform for all 55+ companies. You are hands-on. You deploy, configure, fix and integrate. Each company also has AI Champions who drive adoption locally. You are their technical backbone: when something needs engineering, you do it, and you make sure the next similar request is faster. What You Will Do Run the AI Hub for 10+ companies: deployments, updates, configuration, SSO with Entra ID, monitoring, backups and incident handling Onboard companies and teams: set up skills, knowledge bases and tools and get each company productive on the Hub Be the technical point of contact: when something breaks or a Champion is stuck, you diagnose and fix it. You document recurring issues so they get solved once. Connect the Hub where a use case needs it: Microsoft 365 / Graph, CRM, ticketing and ERP systems, through tools, MCP servers and REST APIs Turn repeated questions into reusable assets: documentation, templates and short hands-on sessions Work with the AI Core Team: share patterns across companies, test new features, and feed back into the platform roadmap Support our M&A team occasionally (around 10 to 20% of your time) on technical questions, for example assessing the tech and AI stack of acquisition targets What We Are Looking For Required German (C1 or higher) and fluent English. You work with managing directors and non-technical teams in German every day. We cannot make exceptions here. Production operations experience. You have deployed and operated containerised applications in production (Docker, CI/CD, Linux, a major cloud, Azure preferred), and you were responsible when they broke. This usually means 2+ years in a DevOps, platform, SRE or backend role. Python you are comfortable reading, debugging and extending Hands-on with LLMs. You use them seriously in your own work and have built something with them, at work or on the side. You know where they fail. You explain technical things so non-technical people understand them and can act on them. You are comfortable being the go-to technical person for teams that are not technical. Strong signals Enterprise identity: Entra ID, OAuth, SSO Self-hosted LLM platforms such as Open WebUI or LibreChat MCP, tool calling, agent frameworks Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform) A support, solutions or customer-facing technical role in your background Experience working across several companies, tenants or a group structure This role is not for you if you want to spend most of your time building new AI products from scratch you are looking for ML research or model training you want to work only with engineers and avoid direct contact with business teams Benefits What You Get Real ownership: 10+ companies, one platform, and you are the person who makes AI work there A small team in the CTO office with a direct line to leadership. Clinical AI Engineer

HeidiLondon, Germany2 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythontypescriptgorphoenixmachine learning+8

We're Heidi. We're building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. Our platform has absorbed the administrative chaos of 175 million patient visits and supported 67 million clinical hours. Today, we support 2.8 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries, in 110 languages and over 200 specialties. Healthcare systems are failing us; clinicians spend more time on documentation than on patients, and the human connection that makes medicine worth practicing is eroding. Our mission is simple: double the world's capacity for care and strengthen the human connection at its heart. We found product-market fit with a freemium medical scribe that clinicians love. Now, we're expanding. Every task a clinician hands to Heidi is a patient who feels more attended to, a health system unclogged, and a clinician who gets to be a clinician again. We've grown annual recurring revenue from $1 million to $50 million in two years. To go further, we've secured US$340 million: a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird, with Phoenix Court, Point72 Private Investments and Headline, alongside a $240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. If you want to join us in doing work worth shipping, jump in. The role We're looking for a doctor who has moved into AI and can code, to join Clinical AI R&D as a Clinical AI Engineer. You'll sit inside a product pod and own the evidence for its product: define the evaluation before anyone builds, run it to a standard a journal reviewer would accept, keep watching the product once it ships, publish what the evidence shows, and change the product when the evidence says to. The pod's engineers can change the product but can't judge whether a discharge summary missed something a consultant would catch. Clinicians can make that call but can't open a pull request. You do both, and you treat the gap between a model's output and good clinical practice as the thing you're here to measure and close. The loop doesn't end at launch. You stay with the product for its life in market. What you'll do Design the evaluation. Define evaluations for greenfield products to an academic standard: endpoints, comparators, ground truth, sample size, analysis plan. Set the bar before the result arrives. Build the measurement. Build, optimize and validate the LLM judges and rubrics that score the product at scale. Report their agreement with clinician ground truth, not their convenience, and retire the ones that drift. Run it and write it up. Execute the evaluation, do the statistics, and write it up once in a form that serves the pod, the regulatory file and an academic submission. Run post-market surveillance. Monitor output quality in production and respond to regulatory feedback with data. Our clinical safety team triages complaints and incidents; you're their counterpart in the pod, working out what their findings mean for the product and what should change. Fix what the evidence finds. Prompt and rubric changes, evaluation harness changes, code changes in the pod's codebase, shipped through the pod's normal review and release process. Publish. Contribute to peer-reviewed literature on the translational benefit of the product. Be the clinician in the room. Catch the output that reads well and is wrong. Hold the line on clinical nuance when a shortcut would ship faster. What you'll need A medical degree and clinical practice with independent clinical judgment. This role runs on medical nuance, and this requirement doesn't flex. Academic depth. Study design, inferential statistics, agreement and reliability measures, sample size, handling of multiple comparisons. Thesis or publication-level work, not a methods module. Experience evaluating medical software or clinical AI, including building or validating LLM-as-judge pipelines. Enough engineering to work in a production codebase. Read it, understand what a change will do, make the change in Python or TypeScript, and get it through review. Prompt engineering and AI-assisted coding are daily tools here, and they're the floor, not the ceiling. Independence. You can run a project for weeks with light direction, and you say early when it's stuck. Clear writing. Evaluation reports, surveillance summaries and manuscripts are the primary output of this role. Nice to have Post-market surveillance or vigilance work under a medical device framework (TGA, MHRA, FDA or EU MDR). Appetite to learn counts for more than existing depth. Peer-reviewed publications on clinical AI or LLM evaluation. Machine learning background beyond prompting, such as fine-tuning or classical model evaluation. Specialty depth in an area Heidi is moving into. An academic or clinical-site network able to host a study. How we show up Build for the next decade, not next quarter . Our targets are outrageous on purpose. The world's health doesn't have the luxury of incrementalism. Lead, don't wait . We treat tomorrow's problems today. Sometimes we build what's needed before it's wanted, and we're fine with that. Follow the evidence . Trust the patient. We pursue truth relentlessly. But when the subjective and objective disagree, we treat the patient, not the numbers. Ego is a comorbidity we can't afford. Own the outcome . Everyone here carries the company. Raise problems with solutions, solve them end-to-end, and never be a bystander. Ship, measure, go again . A button today, a workflow tomorrow. More iterations beat better planning. We're precise at pace, not reckless. Live in clinicians' reality . Not the ideal workflow, the twenty-patients-before-lunch actual one. We build for exhausted humans, and we'd better be decent ones while we do it. Why Heidi? You'll join a team measured on real-world impact, not press cycles. We live and breathe the challenges of modern health systems, and are laser-focused on exacting the change we'd like to see. We're medicos, engineers, builders and designers who've felt (on every side of the equation) what non-care feels like, the moral and practical toll as a provider or receiver. Building what we're building isn't always easy. Standard tech playbooks routinely fail in healthcare, and the friction of the medical system will test your perseverance. But we didn't choose easy, we chose a purpose-driven mission that actually matters. We hold ourselves to a higher standard because healthcare demands it. If you join Heidi, you recognize that the deeper question isn't whether AI can solve the global healthcare crisis, but whose hands will shape it. True A-players progress extremely fast here. The nature of the scale-up game is demanding, but we value sustainable performance and mental health. You're trusted to perform, and you set your schedule. We operate on outcomes > inputs, not process theatre. We all take the bins out, metaphorically and literally. Our Benefits Equity from day one. When Heidi wins, you win. You'll share directly in the success you help create. Your health, covered. Comprehensive private medical and dental cover through Bupa, plus 24/7 mental health, coaching and wellbeing support through Sonder and a £100/month Healthy Heidi's stipend. Global parental leave . 26 weeks paid for primary carers and 18 weeks for secondary carers, subject to eligibility. Fertility support . £7,000 one-off payment, eligibility applies. Learning & development. £700 per year for courses, books, memberships, conferences and more. Home office budget of £500 one-off to set up a workspace you actually want to work in. Recharge days after major milestones and busy periods so you can reset and come back strong. Work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year, wherever the world takes you. Clinical leave . 10 days per year for eligible clinical roles to maintain accreditation and requirements. Flexibility that works. A hybrid environment, with 3 days in the office. Heidi's commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Heidi is dedicated to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environment that brings people together from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Our strength is in our differences. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are proud to welcome all applicants as we're committed to promoting a culture of opportunity for all. At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! Whether it's Daniel Ricciardo's Formula 1 Car , a Woolly Mammoth's Skeleton , Lady Gaga's Jumpsuit or Usain Bolt's running shoe , we encounter exceptional objects every day. We're a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. Each week, more than 100,000 unique items are auctioned, all carefully curated by our passionate in-house experts. Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world's most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we'd love to explore how you can join us. Taking ownership and driving impact Being open to change and feedback Being passionate about our mission and our customers. Your mission Every Product Manager at Catawiki owns a meaningful part of the customer experience. In Search and Ranking, your mission is to help buyers find the special objects they care about. You will shape how search, ranking and personalisation work across the buyer journey, making discovery more relevant and helping more buyers find objects they love. This is a broad product area. It brings together buyer needs, expert curation, marketplace priorities, search experiences and machine learning. You will identify the most important opportunities, set a clear direction and lead a cross functional team from insight to measurable customer and business impact. The solution is not prescribed. You may improve search relevance, ranking, recommendations or personalisation, or explore new AI enabled ways to help buyers discover objects. What matters is that you solve a meaningful customer problem, measure the impact and scale what works. You will own the strategy, outcomes and execution for this area, working closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing and Commercial teams. What you will do Set and communicate a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap for Search and Ranking. Own measurable outcomes across search relevance, discovery, engagement and buyer conversion. Use behavioural data, customer research and commercial insight to identify and prioritise the biggest opportunities. Turn ambiguous customer and business problems into clear hypotheses, prototypes and executable plans. Lead initiatives from early discovery through experimentation, launch and scaling. Define success metrics and build a rigorous experimentation agenda for search, ranking and personalisation. Work with machine learning engineers and data scientists to assess model quality, test new approaches and improve customer outcomes. Improve the relevance of search results and recommendations across the buyer journey. Integrate personalisation into the customer experience in ways that feel useful, coherent and trustworthy. Design, run and evaluate experiments, using positive, negative and inconclusive results to guide decisions. Use AI and rapid prototyping to test ideas early, reduce development risk and accelerate learning. Create clarity, momentum and accountability across teams, including when priorities or incentives differ. Communicate strategy, performance, tradeoffs and recommendations clearly to senior and C level stakeholders. Who you are Three qualities matter most in this role. Outcome ownership You take responsibility for customer and business results, not only for delivering features. You stay with the problem, remove obstacles and change direction when the evidence calls for it. Systems thinking You understand how search, ranking, recommendations, auction dynamics, expert curation and marketplace health influence one another. You make thoughtful decisions across the full buyer journey. Experimental rigour You use data, research, prototypes and controlled experiments to make decisions. You learn from negative results and can distinguish meaningful progress from activity. You will also bring: At least five years of product management experience, preferably in consumer ecommerce, marketplaces or another digital product at scale. Experience owning a broad product area or customer journey, rather than only individual features. Experience defining product strategy or roadmaps for search, ranking, recommendations, personalisation or other machine learning products. Confidence working with product metrics, experiments and commercial performance. Experience designing, running and analysing A/B tests, including tests involving machine learning products. The ability to turn uncertain opportunities into clear hypotheses, prototypes and plans. A practical understanding of machine learning concepts and how models become useful product experiences. Experience working closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to develop and improve customer facing features. Comfort using AI tools to prototype quickly and explore customer experiences. The ability to balance immediate commercial opportunities with longer term product and platform investments. Clear communication skills and the ability to influence senior leaders without relying on formal authority. The pace, resilience and judgement to maintain a high standard of execution in an ambiguous environment. Where you will be This role is based in Amsterdam. We offer a relocation package for people currently living outside the Netherlands. Why You'll Love Working with Us Create a visible impact by working at scale in a global organisation serving millions of customers across 80+ categories. In our flat structure, every role has a broad scope and directly impacts both our customers and the business. Learn and grow through our Learning & Development initiatives, including clear development plans and mentorship programmes to support your career progression. A culture of connection defines us . We're a passionate, diverse team of 800+ Catawikians representing 60+ nationalities. We foster an inclusive and queer-friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to bring their full self to work. Celebrate life's moments with us. You'll receive a €100 Catavoucher when you join, a €50 Catavoucher on your birthday, and an extra day off each year to "Pursue Your Passion " . We also offer additional leave for key work anniversaries and important life events. Benefits may vary by location. Our Offices and Way of Working Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam and Lisbon are designed to inspire collaboration. Most Catawikians operate in a hybrid setup, combining office-based and remote work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office, unless a role is explicitly stated as fully remote or fully office-based. Interested? Apply with an English CV and Cover Letter. By applying, you agree to Catawiki's Applicant Privacy Policy. If you're excited about this role but don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
