Advise. Invest. Build. Meet ALAIKA — a new kind of Financial Services firm — globally scaling, headquartered in Munich. The work is hard. The bar is high. You own the finance function end-to-end, build the automated backbone a scaling firm runs on, and thrive in it. About ALAIKA At ALAIKA, our vision is to build the future of Financial Services with three brands under one roof — Advisory (Strategy Consulting), Capital (Private Equity), Building (Company Builder). Right now, we are in the midst of building our trojan horse ALAIKA Advisory. The ambition: building the leading Financial-Services-specific entrepreneurial holding — Fortune 500 access, PE discipline, Silicon Valley technology-depth and thinking. Three networks that compound and multiply. One industry. Financial Services. Nothing else. One focus. The intersection of business and technology — across Strategic Transformations, AI & Data Intelligence, and Cybersecurity. One goal. Being the go-to partner for the world's leading Fortune 500 financial services companies — and the ones we might help build into that. Founded in October 2022 by Johanna von Geyr (build-up and led Financial Services Practice for a NASDAQ-listed strategy consultancy) and Harald Braunstein (serial entrepreneur with exits incl. IPO), we bring together deep functional domain expertise and networks in global Financial Services, with a proven track record in building, scaling, and investing in leading software product companies. Curious what ALAIKA is all about? Explore our website and introduction deck . Join the movement — apply now. The role and what you will work on Own. Own the finance function end-to-end. Accounting, controlling, reporting, tax, and the annual financial statements — and the judgment behind them. The numbers are yours: accurate, on time, founder-ready, and built to help the business decide. Lead. Build the finance team from the ground up. Hire, steer, develop. Multiply the output of everyone in it, not just your own. Build. We're scaling fast, and the finance backbone has to scale with us: systems, processes, controls, forecasting. Build a genuinely automated operation, not a manual one held together by effort. You don't inherit a finished machine — you build it. Steer. Own the forward view: planning, budgeting, forecasting. Track cash, runway, and burn. You see what's coming and steer for it. People. Own the systems that pay and grow the team: compensation, bonus structures, performance reviews, the people operation behind them. In a firm that hires the best, how you reward them is a competitive weapon. You build it, you make it work. Govern. Own risk, compliance, and controls as the firm scales across borders. Own the external relationships that come with them: auditors, tax advisors, banks, authorities. Expand. The role scales with the firm. New deals, new business units, new ground — you grow with it, and the finance backbone becomes the platform the whole firm builds on What you bring Background: Strong degree in finance, business, or a comparably analytical field. A professional qualification (Steuerberater, ACCA, CPA) or an audit background is a plus. A track record that speaks for itself matters more. Experience: Demonstrated experience in high-performance settings: fast-scaling company, top-tier consultancy, investment banking, or private equity. We don't count years, we count what you can run. Three exceptional years beat ten average ones. Functional Experience. A minimum of three annual closes under your own responsibility, including the team, deadlines, and sign-off. Finance Craft. Deep command of accounting and reporting under HGB. Real strength in controlling and corporate finance — cash-flow and scenario modelling, month- and year-end close. People & Comp. You have designed and run compensation packages and performance-review systems before — not just administered them. You know how to pay people in a way that attracts and keeps the best. Systems. Hands-on with modern finance and ERP tooling (DATEV, SAP, or comparable), and fluent in using AI to do the work faster and cleaner. You build clean processes instead of working around messy ones, and automate everything that should be. Lead. You've built and grown teams before — hired, developed, and made the hard calls. And you're an equal to founders, management, and department heads: clear, direct, trusted in the room. Languages. Fluent in English and German. Additional languages are a plus. When you are a fit "Show me an athlete who did well academically. An athlete because they know what it takes to win and they have had to experience loss." — Kenneth C. Griffin, Founder of Citadel You will work alongside intrinsically driven people who do "what it takes" — and you hold your own among them. You run the finance and operating backbone yourself, pulling the founders in only when it truly matters. Not a talker — a doer who makes things work. Book-smart. Strong academic foundation. Think in structures, not gut feel. Street-smart. Read the room fast. Prioritise ruthlessly. Grasp commercial reality. People-smart. Communicate with precision — clear, direct, persuasive. Build trust across functions and seniority. Athlete performance mindset. High aspirations. Grit. Learn faster than the environment Entrepreneurial guts. You have built something, owned something, or bet on yourself at some point — and it shows in how you operate. P&L is not an abstraction. Ambiguity is not a problem. You move. Why join ALAIKA Ownership & Impact. Own the entire finance function of a scaling firm, work directly with the founders, and build the backbone the whole company runs on. A rare scope for a single role. Compensation. Above market with very entrepreneurial-driven bonus structures. "My biggest economic misunderstanding was that people got rich from high salary, but almost no one on Forbes got there through salary but only with equity." — Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI Stellar Network. Shoulder-to-shoulder with financial services executives running today's giants and the founders building tomorrow's. Offices. Munich and Barcelona. More coming. Plus: the essentials done right — EGYM Wellpass, bike leasing, a kitchen stocked with healthy food and team events worth showing up for: Oktoberfest, team dinners, and more. Build the backbone. Enable what comes next. Invest in the future of Financial Services. Apply with CV, transcripts, and references. Let's see if you are the one. Equal Opportunities for all (f/m/d) ALAIKA is an equal-opportunity employer. We hire on merit and welcome applications from people of all genders, backgrounds, ages, and identities. Our team spirit celebrates diversity. We want you to be your true "you" and offer everyone an open culture and safe space Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

Why Harvey At Harvey, we're transforming how legal and professional services operate. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we're reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come. This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. We have strong product-market fit and world-class investor support. We're scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth — personal, professional, and financial — is unmatched. Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission — operating with intensity, staying close to our customers, and pushing each other for excellence. We live by three values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished. We act quickly on clear judgment over perfect information, we believe simplicity is what scales, and we're never satisfied with where we are. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who share that drive, we'd love to build with you. At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we're just getting started. Role Overview Harvey's Finance Engineering team is the investment-side counterpart to our Legal Engineering team: former investment professionals who bring real deal experience to Harvey's prospects and customers. Forward Deployed Finance Engineers lead discovery, demos, pilots, trainings, onboarding, and custom builds alongside our AEs and CSMs. They translate real investment work into Harvey solutions, serving as the trust layer across the entire customer lifecycle, from the first pilot to the most complex, custom-built workflow. Finance Engineers work on Harvey Deals, a new product built off of Harvey's acquisition of Benchmark. Harvey Deals is where investment teams run their deals — screening, underwriting, diligence, and committee materials — built in the firm's own templates and formats, with every figure traceable back to the document it came from. Harvey works with 150+ asset management firms and analyzes 178M+ documents each month; the Finance Engineering team is how that capability meets the way deal teams actually work. Finance Engineers understand how investors think and work, and use that expertise to design, build, and refine solutions that hold up under live deal pressure. In doing so, they don't just drive adoption; they shape Harvey's product roadmap, ensuring every release is grounded in what investment teams actually need. It's a team built to make Harvey the platform investment teams can trust with their most important work. This role is the first Finance Engineer dedicated to private credit. You will build the credit playbook — demo library, workflow templates, use cases — while running live pilots, and lead the credit practice as the team grows. You may be asked to travel around 2–3+ times per month. Travel is always for a significant business need and typically is for 1–3 days at a time. What You'll Do Forward Deployed Finance Engineers on the private credit team are former credit investors who left the desk to help build the future of how credit gets underwritten. Working closely with Account Executives, they engage with direct lenders, opportunistic and specialty finance managers, BDC managers, and insurer credit arms throughout the pre-sales process and stay with them well past it — leading pilots on live opportunities, guiding lenders through what's possible with AI, and sitting down with credit teams to build screening, underwriting, and credit committee workflows in the firm's own templates and formats. The work is the work they did on the desk: lender presentation and CIM review; QoE read-throughs and data pack analysis; cash flow and leverage modeling; sizing and structuring; covenant and credit agreement review; credit memo drafting; and comps. It continues post-close into compliance certificate review, covenant tracking, amendment and waiver analysis, and quarterly portfolio reporting, so value compounds after the first deal. Along the way, Finance Engineers bring credit-team feedback back into the product, helping shape the future of Harvey. What You Have 6+ years on the investment or underwriting team at a direct lender, private credit fund, BDC manager, or insurer private credit arm, with demonstrated ownership of live deal work: screening, underwriting, diligence workstreams, modeling, structuring, and drafting credit committee materials. Asset-based and specialty finance backgrounds are welcome. Leveraged finance, restructuring advisory, or rating-agency experience before the principal side is welcome, but principal-side deal execution is required. Strong command of the documents and data that drive a credit decision — lender presentation and CIM, QoE and data pack, model, credit agreement and intercreditor, compliance certificates — and an instinct for where the numbers and the paper disagree. Advanced Excel and financial modeling, comfort with prompting and agentic AI workflows, and a builder's instinct for turning a repeated manual process into a repeatable automation. Python, SQL, or experience building internal tools is a plus. Executive presence and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility from analysts and associates through to partners and credit committee members. Outstanding communication and presentation skills — comfortable leading a live demo, facilitating a workshop, or holding your own in a technical conversation about a covenant package or an underwriting assumption. Deep curiosity about AI's potential to transform investment work, paired with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset and bias toward action. Track record partnering with senior stakeholders to drive results, with curiosity for testing approaches and optimizing for customer outcomes. Customer-facing or commercial experience (LP or investor relations, capital formation, banking coverage, business development) and/or hands-on experience using AI tools in an investment setting are pluses. We are looking for an Automation Engineer to design the control software and automation architecture of our production line. As software and automation designer, you will develop PLC and HMI logic, define the interfaces between robots, transport systems, quality stations and the MES/ERP, and make the line run safely, traceably and at pace. You will turn a process concept into a line that runs unattended for most of the shift. Your code will decide whether we reach our throughput targets, and your data will tell us why we don't. About us We're a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications. Define and implement the interfaces between PLCs, robot controllers, MES and ERP, including order handling and traceability (serial and batch IDs). Implement safety-related control functions together with the safety engineering team (e.g., PROFIsafe, ISO 13849), and reflect explosion-protection requirements in the control concept. Build the operational data layer: process data acquisition, alarm management, OEE and KPI reporting. Commission and debug the line on site, support FAT and SAT, and contribute to process validation. Maintain coding standards, version control, test procedures and documentation for all automation software. What we are looking for Significant professional experience in industrial automation (PLC programming and control architecture) in manufacturing or process plants. Strong, demonstrable experience with a major PLC platform (ideally Beckhoff). Solid knowledge of IEC 61131-3 and structured software development, including version control, testing and documentation. Experience integrating PLCs with higher-level systems (MES, ERP, databases) via OPC UA or comparable interfaces. Understanding of machine safety and functional safety principles. The ability to debug live systems on the shop floor under time pressure. A degree in electrical engineering, automation, computer science, mechatronics or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may also be relevant. Desirable experience Python or a similar language for data analysis, test automation and tooling. Robot integration (KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, or Beckhoff motion) and PLC-to-robot communication. Recipe management and batch process control (ISA-88). SCADA/HMI design (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, TwinCAT HMI). Traceability systems, barcode/RFID or serial-number management. Knowledge of explosion-protection requirements for electrical equipment (ATEX). Commissioning experience in a startup or greenfield plant.
