About CHAPTERS Group CHAPTERS Group is a listed German serial acquirer of vertical market software companies. We have grown 10x in the past five years and now own 55+ companies. Each one runs its own business, close to its customers. We help them get stronger without taking over. AI is one of the biggest opportunities we see for them, and it only works if the people in these companies actually use it. Tasks The Role German (C1+) and English required You make sure 10+ software companies get real value out of AI. You work embedded in one of our portfolio platforms. You own the AI Hub for its companies. The AI Hub is our Open WebUI-based AI platform: each company has its own instance in its own tenant, and the data stays in the EU. You keep it running, roll it out, fix what breaks, and help each company's people use it well. You are part of the AI Core Team in the CTO office. You work closely with us: you bring back what you see in the field, test new capabilities, and help shape the platform for all 55+ companies. You are hands-on. You deploy, configure, fix and integrate. Each company also has AI Champions who drive adoption locally. You are their technical backbone: when something needs engineering, you do it, and you make sure the next similar request is faster. What You Will Do Run the AI Hub for 10+ companies: deployments, updates, configuration, SSO with Entra ID, monitoring, backups and incident handling Onboard companies and teams: set up skills, knowledge bases and tools and get each company productive on the Hub Be the technical point of contact: when something breaks or a Champion is stuck, you diagnose and fix it. You document recurring issues so they get solved once. Connect the Hub where a use case needs it: Microsoft 365 / Graph, CRM, ticketing and ERP systems, through tools, MCP servers and REST APIs Turn repeated questions into reusable assets: documentation, templates and short hands-on sessions Work with the AI Core Team: share patterns across companies, test new features, and feed back into the platform roadmap Support our M&A team occasionally (around 10 to 20% of your time) on technical questions, for example assessing the tech and AI stack of acquisition targets What We Are Looking For Required German (C1 or higher) and fluent English. You work with managing directors and non-technical teams in German every day. We cannot make exceptions here. Production operations experience. You have deployed and operated containerised applications in production (Docker, CI/CD, Linux, a major cloud, Azure preferred), and you were responsible when they broke. This usually means 2+ years in a DevOps, platform, SRE or backend role. Python you are comfortable reading, debugging and extending Hands-on with LLMs. You use them seriously in your own work and have built something with them, at work or on the side. You know where they fail. You explain technical things so non-technical people understand them and can act on them. You are comfortable being the go-to technical person for teams that are not technical. Strong signals Enterprise identity: Entra ID, OAuth, SSO Self-hosted LLM platforms such as Open WebUI or LibreChat MCP, tool calling, agent frameworks Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform) A support, solutions or customer-facing technical role in your background Experience working across several companies, tenants or a group structure This role is not for you if you want to spend most of your time building new AI products from scratch you are looking for ML research or model training you want to work only with engineers and avoid direct contact with business teams Benefits What You Get Real ownership: 10+ companies, one platform, and you are the person who makes AI work there A small team in the CTO office with a direct line to leadership. Decisions get made fast. Impact beyond your platform: what works for your companies becomes the standard for 55+ Permanent full-time position , remote-first, with occasional on-site time Development: talent reviews, events and conferences. We hire people who want to grow with us. How to Apply Send your CV and answer this one question in German , max. 200 words. No cover letter needed. Tell us about a system you ran in production that broke. What happened, what did you do, and what changed afterwards? We are looking forward to your application! We're Heidi. We're building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. Our platform has absorbed the administrative chaos of 175 million patient visits and supported 67 million clinical hours. Today, we support 2.8 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries, in 110 languages and over 200 specialties. Healthcare systems are failing us; clinicians spend more time on documentation than on patients, and the human connection that makes medicine worth practicing is eroding. Our mission is simple: double the world's capacity for care and strengthen the human connection at its heart. We found product-market fit with a freemium medical scribe that clinicians love. Now, we're expanding. Every task a clinician hands to Heidi is a patient who feels more attended to, a health system unclogged, and a clinician who gets to be a clinician again. We've grown annual recurring revenue from $1 million to $50 million in two years. To go further, we've secured US$340 million: a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird, with Phoenix Court, Point72 Private Investments and Headline, alongside a $240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. If you want to join us in doing work worth shipping, jump in. The role We're looking for a doctor who has moved into AI and can code, to join Clinical AI R&D as a Clinical AI Engineer. You'll sit inside a product pod and own the evidence for its product: define the evaluation before anyone builds, run it to a standard a journal reviewer would accept, keep watching the product once it ships, publish what the evidence shows, and change the product when the evidence says to. The pod's engineers can change the product but can't judge whether a discharge summary missed something a consultant would catch. Clinicians can make that call but can't open a pull request. You do both, and you treat the gap between a model's output and good clinical practice as the thing you're here to measure and close. The loop doesn't end at launch. You stay with the product for its life in market. What you'll do Design the evaluation. Define evaluations for greenfield products to an academic standard: endpoints, comparators, ground truth, sample size, analysis plan. Set the bar before the result arrives. Build the measurement. Build, optimize and validate the LLM judges and rubrics that score the product at scale. Report their agreement with clinician ground truth, not their convenience, and retire the ones that drift. Run it and write it up. Execute the evaluation, do the statistics, and write it up once in a form that serves the pod, the regulatory file and an academic submission. Run post-market surveillance. Monitor output quality in production and respond to regulatory feedback with data. Our clinical safety team triages complaints and incidents; you're their counterpart in the pod, working out what their findings mean for the product and what should change. Fix what the evidence finds. Prompt and rubric changes, evaluation harness changes, code changes in the pod's codebase, shipped through the pod's normal review and release process. Publish. Contribute to peer-reviewed literature on the translational benefit of the product. Be the clinician in the room. Catch the output that reads well and is wrong. Hold the line on clinical nuance when a shortcut would ship faster. What you'll need A medical degree and clinical practice with independent clinical judgment. This role runs on medical nuance, and this requirement doesn't flex. Academic depth. Study design, inferential statistics, agreement and reliability measures, sample size, handling of multiple comparisons. Thesis or publication-level work, not a methods module. Experience evaluating medical software or clinical AI, including building or validating LLM-as-judge pipelines. Enough engineering to work in a production codebase. Read it, understand what a change will do, make the change in Python or TypeScript, and get it through review. Prompt engineering and AI-assisted coding are daily tools here, and they're the floor, not the ceiling. Independence. You can run a project for weeks with light direction, and you say early when it's stuck. Clear writing. Evaluation reports, surveillance summaries and manuscripts are the primary output of this role. Nice to have Post-market surveillance or vigilance work under a medical device framework (TGA, MHRA, FDA or EU MDR). Appetite to learn counts for more than existing depth. Peer-reviewed publications on clinical AI or LLM evaluation. Machine learning background beyond prompting, such as fine-tuning or classical model evaluation. Specialty depth in an area Heidi is moving into. An academic or clinical-site network able to host a study. How we show up Build for the next decade, not next quarter . Our targets are outrageous on purpose. The world's health doesn't have the luxury of incrementalism. Lead, don't wait . We treat tomorrow's problems today. Sometimes we build what's needed before it's wanted, and we're fine with that. Follow the evidence . Trust the patient. We pursue truth relentlessly. But when the subjective and objective disagree, we treat the patient, not the numbers. Ego is a comorbidity we can't afford. Own the outcome . Everyone here carries the company. Raise problems with solutions, solve them end-to-end, and never be a bystander. Ship, measure, go again . A button today, a workflow tomorrow. More iterations beat better planning. We're precise at pace, not reckless. Live in clinicians' reality . Not the ideal workflow, the twenty-patients-before-lunch actual one. We build for exhausted humans, and we'd better be decent ones while we do it. Why Heidi? You'll join a team measured on real-world impact, not press cycles. We live and breathe the challenges of modern health systems, and are laser-focused on exacting the change we'd like to see. We're medicos, engineers, builders and designers who've felt (on every side of the equation) what non-care feels like, the moral and practical toll as a provider or receiver. Building what we're building isn't always easy. Standard tech playbooks routinely fail in healthcare, and the friction of the medical system will test your perseverance. But we didn't choose easy, we chose a purpose-driven mission that actually matters. We hold ourselves to a higher standard because healthcare demands it. If you join Heidi, you recognize that the deeper question isn't whether AI can solve the global healthcare crisis, but whose hands will shape it. True A-players progress extremely fast here. The nature of the scale-up game is demanding, but we value sustainable performance and mental health. You're trusted to perform, and you set your schedule. We operate on outcomes > inputs, not process theatre. We all take the bins out, metaphorically and literally. Our Benefits Equity from day one. When Heidi wins, you win. You'll share directly in the success you help create. Your health, covered. Comprehensive private medical and dental cover through Bupa, plus 24/7 mental health, coaching and wellbeing support through Sonder and a £100/month Healthy Heidi's stipend. Global parental leave . 26 weeks paid for primary carers and 18 weeks for secondary carers, subject to eligibility. Fertility support . £7,000 one-off payment, eligibility applies. Learning & development. £700 per year for courses, books, memberships, conferences and more. Home office budget of £500 one-off to set up a workspace you actually want to work in. Recharge days after major milestones and busy periods so you can reset and come back strong. Work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year, wherever the world takes you. Clinical leave . 10 days per year for eligible clinical roles to maintain accreditation and requirements. Flexibility that works. A hybrid environment, with 3 days in the office. Heidi's commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Heidi is dedicated to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environment that brings people together from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Our strength is in our differences. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are proud to welcome all applicants as we're committed to promoting a culture of opportunity for all. We're a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. Each week, more than 100,000 unique items are auctioned, all carefully curated by our passionate in-house experts. Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world's most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we'd love to explore how you can join us. Taking ownership and driving impact Being open to change and feedback Being passionate about our mission and our customers. Your mission Every Product Manager at Catawiki owns a meaningful part of the customer experience. In Search and Ranking, your mission is to help buyers find the special objects they care about. You will shape how search, ranking and personalisation work across the buyer journey, making discovery more relevant and helping more buyers find objects they love. This is a broad product area. It brings together buyer needs, expert curation, marketplace priorities, search experiences and machine learning. You will identify the most important opportunities, set a clear direction and lead a cross functional team from insight to measurable customer and business impact. The solution is not prescribed. You may improve search relevance, ranking, recommendations or personalisation, or explore new AI enabled ways to help buyers discover objects. What matters is that you solve a meaningful customer problem, measure the impact and scale what works. You will own the strategy, outcomes and execution for this area, working closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing and Commercial teams. What you will do Set and communicate a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap for Search and Ranking. Own measurable outcomes across search relevance, discovery, engagement and buyer conversion. Use behavioural data, customer research and commercial insight to identify and prioritise the biggest opportunities. Turn ambiguous customer and business problems into clear hypotheses, prototypes and executable plans. Lead initiatives from early discovery through experimentation, launch and scaling. Define success metrics and build a rigorous experimentation agenda for search, ranking and personalisation. Work with machine learning engineers and data scientists to assess model quality, test new approaches and improve customer outcomes. Improve the relevance of search results and recommendations across the buyer journey. Integrate personalisation into the customer experience in ways that feel useful, coherent and trustworthy. Design, run and evaluate experiments, using positive, negative and inconclusive results to guide decisions. Use AI and rapid prototyping to test ideas early, reduce development risk and accelerate learning. Create clarity, momentum and accountability across teams, including when priorities or incentives differ. Communicate strategy, performance, tradeoffs and recommendations clearly to senior and C level stakeholders. Who you are Three qualities matter most in this role. Outcome ownership You take responsibility for customer and business results, not only for delivering features. You stay with the problem, remove obstacles and change direction when the evidence calls for it. Systems thinking You understand how search, ranking, recommendations, auction dynamics, expert curation and marketplace health influence one another. You make thoughtful decisions across the full buyer journey. Experimental rigour You use data, research, prototypes and controlled experiments to make decisions. You learn from negative results and can distinguish meaningful progress from activity. You will also bring: At least five years of product management experience, preferably in consumer ecommerce, marketplaces or another digital product at scale. Experience owning a broad product area or customer journey, rather than only individual features. Experience defining product strategy or roadmaps for search, ranking, recommendations, personalisation or other machine learning products. Confidence working with product metrics, experiments and commercial performance. Experience designing, running and analysing A/B tests, including tests involving machine learning products. The ability to turn uncertain opportunities into clear hypotheses, prototypes and plans. A practical understanding of machine learning concepts and how models become useful product experiences. Experience working closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to develop and improve customer facing features. Comfort using AI tools to prototype quickly and explore customer experiences. The ability to balance immediate commercial opportunities with longer term product and platform investments. Clear communication skills and the ability to influence senior leaders without relying on formal authority. The pace, resilience and judgement to maintain a high standard of execution in an ambiguous environment. Where you will be This role is based in Amsterdam. We offer a relocation package for people currently living outside the Netherlands. What We Are Looking For You are a rigorous thinker who treats data as evidence, not decoration, and holds your team to that same standard You have strong technical chops in SQL and the modern data stack (warehouse, transformation layer, BI layer), and you can go deep on any of them You have led or grown a team of analysts or analytics engineers, and you know how to hire, mentor, and set a bar You are comfortable owning ambiguous, open-ended problems, from "what should we even be measuring" through to a shipped dashboard You communicate findings crisply to technical and non-technical audiences, including at the executive level You have opinions on BI tooling grounded in experience, not just familiarity, and can make a real build-vs-buy or migrate-vs-stay case What You Will Be Doing Own the analytics architecture end to end , from the Snowflake warehouse and dbt transformation layer through to the BI/reporting layer used across the business Set and evolve BI tooling strategy , including evaluating whether our current tool, Sigma, remains the right fit versus alternatives like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Hex, or Mode as the team and data volume grow Lead, hire, and develop a team of analysts and analytics engineers Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Engineering to define key metrics, build self-serve reporting, and translate business questions into well-scoped analytical work Establish data modeling standards, testing, and governance across dbt models so the numbers hold up under scrutiny Own data security and access controls across the warehouse and BI layer, ensuring sensitive retail, store, and operational data is properly governed, access is scoped by role, and we meet our customers' data handling requirements Build and own executive-facing reporting on core business metrics such as product availability, store performance, and inventory accuracy Requirements 8+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years directly managing or leading a team Deep hands-on SQL, including complex CTEs, window functions, and query optimization Real experience running a cloud data warehouse, Snowflake strongly preferred Hands-on experience with dbt or a comparable transformation layer Track record evaluating, migrating, or scaling BI tools, with the ability to speak concretely to tradeoffs between tools like Sigma, Looker, Tableau, and Power BI Experience translating messy operational data into decisions executives act on Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners without authority Comfortable operating remote-first, across a distributed team Nice to Have Experience with IoT, sensor, or computer-vision-derived data (high-volume, noisy, real-time) Python for analytics engineering or pipeline work Experience scaling an analytics function inside a growth-stage startup Background in retail, grocery, logistics, or other operationally complex environments Experience mentoring managers, not just individual contributors Why Focal Systems Strong Values and Mission - We are a tightly-knit team with an ambitious mission and a strong set of core values, which define our approach to business and have successfully guided us since inception. About us Zenjob is an AI-powered flexible staffing platform that has connected companies and temporary workers since 2015. Companies use our platform to book ready-to-work staff in real time, while students use our app - we call them Zenjobbers - to find part-time jobs that conveniently fit around their studies. Over 40,000 Zenjobbers and 1,000 partner companies from logistics, retail, and hospitality in all major German cities share our belief that good work is not a coincidence. It is the result of innovative technology and genuine commitment. Good work starts here. The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in defining and executing a product vision that ensures Zenjob's marketplace dynamics are well balanced, by optimizing our demand forecast, making sure jobs and Zenjobbers are matched optimally, and engaging students in working a high number of shifts. This is not a role that owns one squad's backlog. You'll work project-based: form a team around a problem, own it end-to-end until it delivers on the expected need. You'll get problem statements, not requirements documents. Recent examples: how shifts get allocated across thousands of Zenjobbers each week, and how we get a new Zenjobber from signup to their first shift without human intervention. This role suits a Product Manager who is energised by an open-ended problem, and who finds complex workflows genuinely interesting. You'll report to the Director of Product and work across our Supply, Demand and Staffing squads, depending on the problem to solve. What You'll do Bring our business goals to reality. Understand our financial goals, our users' problems and transform them into solutions that drive our revenue up. Talk to users directly . Zenjobbers, clients, and our own internal teams. Most of the good opportunities come out of these conversations, not out of a backlog. Do your own data work . You don't wait until a data analyst gives you the insights, you dive into it and derive them yourself. Turn ambiguity into a defensible plan . Take a problem nobody agrees on yet, and define what we're solving, what we're explicitly not solving, and in what order. Design and run tests . Form a hypothesis, define what would falsify it, ship the smallest thing that gives you a real answer, and be honest about the result. Drive product development from concept to launch . Pull together Engineering, Design, Ops and Commercial around a problem and keep them moving through hypothesis, building, rollout and post-launch decision making Own the outcome, not the output . Each project has a number attached. You define what success looks like up front, and you're the one who says whether it was hit. Communicate clearly. A one-page memo an exec can act on. A spec an engineer doesn't have to interpret. A tradeoff explained to Commercial in terms they care about. What we're looking for 6+ years in product, with meaningful time on products where the software coordinates real-world processes - staffing, logistics, fintech ops, healthcare, or similar, with substantial business impact. You have experience in marketplace dynamics and allocation problems. You've shipped something complex end-to-end and can talk credibly about what broke, not just what launched. You're analytically strong - comfortable getting to an answer yourself rather than commissioning one, and having a fluent conversation with data scientists. You've moved teams you don't manage . Cross-functional influence without formal authority is most of this job. You write and speak clearly. This is the strongest single signal we look for, because in a cross-team role, clear communication is most of how work actually moves. AI is already part of how you work , and you can say specifically where it helps and where it doesn't, and you are already able to ship small features with little to no help from Engineers English fluency. German is a big plus. What we offer Real ownership of problems that visibly move the business - not a slice of someone else's roadmap. Innovative mission: Together we create something new. Work in a dynamic set-up where you learn a lot and your every idea is heard. Unique team spirit : We can rely on each other blindly and celebrate all successes together as a team. Vacation : Recreation and further education is important, which is why we offer 28 days of paid vacation (increased by 1 day for every 2 calendar years of service with us, up to a maximum of 30 days), 1 day of special leave for community service, 5 days of paid educational leave, and the possibility of unpaid leave Hybrid working model : We love our brand new office in Prenzlauer Berg.
