Own Kairos's support for AI safety university groups and make it far more ambitious. We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis. About Kairos Kairos is a nonprofit accelerating talent into AI safety and policy. In just over two years, we've trained 1,200+ people through our flagship programs: SPAR : The largest AI safety research fellowship, with 800+ mentees per round mentored by researchers from Anthropic, Redwood Research, RAND, MIT, the UK AI Security Institute, and others. Generator Residency : In partnership with Constellation, a platform for generalist talent to pitch, build, and ship projects that build capacity and infrastructure across the AI safety ecosystem, with advisors from OpenAI, AI Futures Project, METR, and more. Global Challenges Project : A workshop series introducing promising students to careers in AI safety and biosecurity, run several times a year across Oxford, Boston, and Berkeley. Pathfinder Fellowship : Helping grow the global network of AI safety university groups from a few dozen to nearly 100, with $9.5M in funding over the next two years to support their work. We see ourselves as a portfolio of highly impactful projects in a fast-evolving field. Over the next six months, we expect to double in size and launch several new initiatives addressing critical gaps in the ecosystem. The Role University groups are where many people first get involved in AI safety, and Kairos provides most of the support these groups get today. Through the Pathfinder Fellowship , we provide mentorship and funding to organizers of AI safety university groups around the world, and through OASIS we bring top organizers together for in-person workshops. Over the past year, this work has grown from a fraction of our time to one of our core priorities, and we're now building a team around it. We're looking for a Head of Groups to own this area as a whole and make it more ambitious. You'd set the strategy for how we plan to support AI safety university groups, decide which new initiatives we pursue, and build the team behind them. You would report to Neav Topaz (co-director). It'd be up to you what the groups team pursues, but we're weighing several ambitious directions, like hiring full-time organizers in key regions, running residencies for top organizers, seeding new groups at strong universities we're not yet reaching, and giving the strongest groups much more hands-on support. What You'll Do Set the strategy for how we support university groups. You'll decide where the work goes next, how our programs fit together, and what we should start, stop, or scale. Launch new initiatives. You'll choose which new directions we pursue, like regional organizers, residencies, and focused support for top universities, and get them up and running. Own how we support and fund groups. You'll set the bar for which groups and organizers we invest in, and decide where our funding goes. Represent the work externally. You'll be the face of Kairos's university groups work with organizers, universities, funders, and partner organizations across the ecosystem. Build and lead the groups team. A more ambitious version of this work means bringing on more people. You'll define the new roles, own their hiring and onboarding, and manage the team as it grows. Contribute to Kairos more broadly. As bandwidth allows, you'll help shape org-wide strategy, weigh in on new programs, and participate in cross-cutting work. Who You Are Experienced with university groups firsthand. You've organized an AI safety university group (or similar), run programs that support them, or worked closely with the organizer ecosystem. We expect the strongest candidates will already know this world well. AI safety context. You have views on how fieldbuilding translates into impact, and enough context on the ecosystem to judge which groups, organizers, and bets are promising. Strong judgment about people. Much of the job is deciding which organizers to back and who to hire, often with limited evidence. Ambitious and high agency. You're excited to push this work well past its current size and quality bar. You'll own the portfolio from day one, and should be comfortable building a vision, executing on it autonomously, and answering big open questions as they come up. Mission-aligned. You care deeply about the risks from advanced AI, and you think university groups are one of the most promising ways to help reduce them. Why Work With Us You'll be working toward reducing risks from advanced AI, potentially the most important challenge of our time. The groups you support are where many future AI safety and policy professionals get their start. University groups are a central part of Kairos's strategy over the coming years, and you'd own how we scale that work. We're building a world-class team, so you'll be in good company. Work alongside people who've come to Kairos from METR, Coefficient Giving, Rethink Priorities, the UK AI Security Institute, and CEA who share your commitment to impact. Collaborate regularly with leading AI safety researchers, policy professionals, funders, and organizers. What We Offer Salary : $140,000–$195,000 (baseline), $175,000–$245,000 (supported hubs, like London, DC, Boston, and NYC), or $195,000–$270,000 (San Francisco Bay Area), depending on experience, with potential for additional compensation for exceptional candidates Location : This is a remote role. We provide access to office space in San Francisco, Berkeley, London, or Boston, with optional coworking elsewhere. If you work from an AI safety office in one of these cities, we cover food, lunches, and office expenses. If you work from home, we cover home office expenses. Benefits : Flexible working hours, highly competitive health insurance, dental and vision coverage, generous vacation policy, and professional development budget Team retreats: We host all-team retreats three times a year to connect in person, collaborate, and build team culture. Travel: Work-related travel and expenses covered. Logistics Start date : Ideally by October or early November 2026, with flexibility for the right candidate Remote, with expected travel 3–6 times a year for conferences and events, predominantly in the US We'd also be happy for you to work out of any of the AI safety hubs in San Francisco, Berkeley, London, or Boston. We prefer candidates who can attend meetings in the ET time zone (though our team currently spans GMT-8 to GMT+1). Kairos is happy to sponsor visas to the US (typically H-1Bs or O-1As) and will likely be able to sponsor UK visas in the coming months. We can't guarantee visa approvals, however. Our Culture We're a small, high-trust team motivated by the urgent challenge of making advanced AI go well. We try hard to figure out where we're wrong, which means we say uncomfortable things to each other and change our minds fairly often. We value collaborative truth-seeking, a scout mindset, agility, and an alliance mindset with the broader ecosystem. We also believe meaningful work should be enjoyable. We support each other's well-being, celebrate wins, and maintain a healthy sense of humor even when the work is hard. Application Process We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis. Application form (10–20 mins) Take-home assignment (2–4 hours, paid) Interview (45 mins) Reference checks Work trial (3 days, paid) Offer If you're excited about this role but unsure whether you meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. If you're interested in multiple roles, apply to the one that best fits your skills and interests, and note in your application the other roles that you'd like to be considered for. This role's scope, salary, and responsibilities may evolve, and we'll keep you in the loop about any changes if you apply. AI tools help us review applications. If we receive more apps than we can read, some may be declined based on the AI review alone. Learn more → Questions? Reach out at Know someone who might be a good fit? Data Scientist - Broker Flow Team Hybrid in London, United Kingdom We're looking for a Data Scientist to join the Broker Flow team. You'll own the experiments that shape the journey brokers use to apply on their clients' behalf. Brokers are one of iwoca's main routes to new customers. The company Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don't wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that's as flexible and responsive as they are. That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed. We've already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive. The team Broker Flow, a new team in iwoca's third-party acquisition department, owns the journey for businesses that come to iwoca through a broker – from before they apply to a completed credit assessment. Its aim is to get more of those businesses to an offer. Broker Terms, a separate team, then sets the price, amount, and duration of each offer. The team works on three parts of that journey: Broker engagement. Working with brokers and their clients before an application starts. The application. Making it smooth to complete, and collecting the data a credit decision needs. Operations. Running the CRM tools iwoca's teams work in, and automating operational processes. The team is small and cross-functional – commercial strategy, engineering, design, and data science – and works across the full application stack, from the Broker API to the Introducer Portal brokers use. The role As the Data Scientist in Broker Flow, you'll give the team the evidence behind its product decisions. The core of the work is experiment design and causal inference, with modelling and analysis alongside it. You'll own each project end to end. You'll frame the problem, choose the method, build the model or run the test, and take the answer to the commercial and strategy colleagues who act on it. You'll also meet brokers in person, which gives you the context to ask the right questions. The team is new, so its methods are yours to shape. You'll see the effect of your work in how many businesses reach an offer, and in their lifetime value. You'll work with data scientists in iwoca's other broker and partner teams, and join the analytics guild – iwoca's data science community – to compare methods and build your expertise. Your results reach the wider business through Learnings, short write-ups that iwoca shares at weekly and fortnightly sessions. Live project examples: Refinancing. Modelling which businesses would benefit from refinancing their existing borrowing, and testing a product for them. Stalled applications. Finding where broker applications stall, and testing fixes – from clearer emails and portal updates to an early offer that encourages document upload. Reintroductions. Testing the best moment for brokers to bring existing iwoca customers back to borrow. Approval probability. Measuring how well the estimate brokers see in the Introducer Portal predicts actual credit decisions, and making it more accurate. Measuring impact. Designing early signals – at sign-up and once documents are in – that predict a business's lifetime value, so the team can judge its changes quickly. The requirements Essential: Statistical foundations. You have a background in probability and statistics from a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, or statistics. You're comfortable with Bayesian reasoning, and have applied hierarchical models or formal decision-making under uncertainty in real work. Causal inference and experimentation. You've separated signal from noise in observational and experimental data. You know where A/B testing breaks down and what to reach for instead. Analytical ownership. You take loosely defined problems from start to finish – framing the question, choosing the method, and landing the answer with the people who act on it. Data tooling. You're proficient with data manipulation and modelling tools, and with scientific computing libraries. AI leverage. You've used AI to produce work you couldn't have delivered without it – an analysis pipeline, a prototype, or a tool others use. You judge where it helps and where it doesn't, and you check its output before anyone acts on it. Communication. You write and speak clearly, directly, and concisely. You adapt technical detail for non-technical colleagues in commercial and strategy roles. Bonus: Modelling depth. You've built or adapted statistical or ML models and can explain the maths behind them. Stochastic methods. You've used stochastic processes for inference or time-series modelling. Broker market insight. You've worked with brokers or other intermediaries in lending or financial services. Coding. You can write code for analysis. The team works in Python. The salary We expect to pay from £70,000 to £100,000 for this role. But, we're open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews. The culture At iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective. We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better. We provide the infrastructure where every iwocan always has access to the best models and where those models have access to all of our data. We will help our people to learn how to use and grow with the new tools available to them. The offices We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work: Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks. Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions. The benefits Flexible working hours. Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership. A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents. 25 days' holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave. A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years. Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support. 3% Pension contributions on total earnings. An employee equity incentive scheme. Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money. Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme. Two company retreats a year: we've been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield. And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer: A learning and development budget for everyone. Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers. Access to learning platforms like Treehouse. About Dust Work is being rewritten, and the people holding the pen are the ones who actually run it. With enterprise-grade governance, flexible model choice, and a collaborative interface for humans and agents to work together, Dust empowers AI Operators at the world's fastest-moving companies to rewire how work gets done. With 70%+ weekly active users, people stick with Dust as much as they do with Slack and Notion. We don't get piloted and shelved. We land once, and spread. We're at an exciting stage of our journey, and growing fast. We're serving great customers like Datadog, 1Password, Cursor, Clay, Vanta and Persona, and aim to x5 our growth by the end of 2026. Dust is backed by Sequoia with a determined team of optimists (coming from Stripe, OpenAI, and Stanford) who like to focus on users, ship fast, and don't take themselves too seriously while doing so. The Generalist named us among the Future 50 . Summary At Dust, we're building for a new kind of AI Operator : people who rethink and rebuild how their teams work around AI. Not "how can AI help us do this faster?" but "if AI existed from day one, would we even do this the same way?" As our AI Support Engineering Lead , you'll own how Support is built and scaled at Dust. This is a deeply hands-on role. You'll take on the hardest customer issues when our agents fall short, but your job isn't simply to resolve them. You'll look for the pattern behind each issue and turn what you learn into better agents, automation, tooling, documentation, and product improvements. Over time, you'll help grow the team and shape how Support Engineering operates as Dust scales. You'll define, ship, and continuously iterate on the systems that make this possible: AI agents, automation workflows, classification systems, knowledge systems, and tooling built on top of Dust itself. You'll dogfood the product harder than almost anyone at the company and set the standard for how the rest of the Support Engineering team does the same. We're looking for someone who wants to lead from the work: technically strong, obsessed with building better systems, and excited to shape both the team and the function as we grow. What you'll do Build the AI systems that do the work Set the technical direction for the support stack: what gets automated, in what order, and to what standard. You make the calls, not just the builds. Design, ship, and maintain AI agents and automation workflows that reduce manual support load: think ticket classification, acknowledgment automation, response drafting, incident detection, and proactive user outreach. Identify recurring categories of issues and engineer them out of existence through automation, documentation, prompt iteration, or product feedback. Build and maintain tooling (MCP integrations, Dust agents, internal scripts) that increase the team's capacity without increasing headcount. Define and own the "Support as a Product" backlog. You decide what goes on it, coach the team to execute it, and hold the bar on what shipped means. Run support when the systems fall short Hire, onboard, and develop the support engineers around you. You're not just resolving tickets and building systems, you're growing the people who will. Set the standard for how complex issues get handled at Dust. You take the hardest tickets yourself. The team knows what good looks like because they've watched you do it. Investigate complex issues across logs, code, and internal tooling to identify root causes and provide clear answers to customers. Handle escalated cases with precise, accessible communication for both technical and non-technical audiences. Systematically analyze agent-generated responses for inconsistencies and iterate on prompts, documentation, and tooling until human intervention is minimal. Bridge customer pain to product improvements Represent support at the engineering and product level. You synthesize signal, prioritize it, and push it through with enough context that it actually moves things, not just relays it. Build strong working relationships with engineers and customer-facing teams to ensure efficient, high-context escalations. Own the feedback loop end-to-end: when agents fail due to missing or incorrect information, close the gap across engineering, product, and documentation. Requirements Every candidate and employee's success is measured against the same 3 dimensions: Aptitude, Attitude and Agency. Aptitude Function-building experience: You've defined or significantly shaped a support engineering function before: built the operating model, set the standards, hired into the team, or rebuilt a broken process from scratch. High technical aptitude: comfortable reading code, analyzing logs, navigating codebases, and troubleshooting distributed systems. You're not stopped by a stack trace. AI fluency at builder level: track record of building custom agents, automations, or workflows using AI tools (Dust, Cursor, Claude Code, n8n, etc.); not just prompting. Exceptional prioritization: You know what to solve immediately, what to automate, what to escalate, and, critically, what to delegate and to whom. You make these calls for yourself and for the team, fast and without second-guessing. People leadership: You've coached and developed engineers and know how to set expectations, give direct feedback, and raise the performance of the people around you. Bidirectional communication: can translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and speak technical language fluently with engineers. Build/Run mindset: You believe the best Support Engineering teams don't just resolve issues. They build systems that prevent those issues from recurring. Attitude Builder mentality: You instinctively automate repetitive work rather than accepting inefficient systems, and you hold your team to the same standard. Resilience-empathy paradox: You can absorb customer frustration without taking it personally while still deeply caring about the user experience. Leads by example: You're not above the queue. When something is hard, you take it. Exceptional prioritization: You know what to solve immediately, what to automate, and what to escalate. Thrives in ambiguity: You enjoy building systems from scratch in environments where many processes are still undefined. Low ego, team player: You share knowledge freely and care about the success of the broader team. Agency High ownership: You define what needs to be done as often as you execute it. You don't wait for someone to tell you the function has a gap. Systems-first thinking: You focus on eliminating categories of work, not simply resolving tickets faster. You hold yourself and the team accountable to that distinction. Pattern recognition to repeatability: You turn recurring issues into scalable systems, automations, workflows, or documentation that eliminate future occurrences. Deep investigation instincts: You investigate as far as possible before escalating, providing engineering teams with thoughtful, high-context information when collaboration is needed, and you coach the team to do the same. Even if you don't meet every requirement above, we still encourage you to apply. We care deeply about curiosity, potential, and determination, and we know exceptional people don't always fit neatly into a checklist. Benefits & Compensation Competitive compensation based on level and experience 100,000€ - 160,000€ Significant equity package at a Sequoia-backed startup Health benefits for you and your dependents New MacBook Pro or Linux machine, monitor, keyboard, etc. Opportunity to travel between our Paris and San Francisco offices Regular team events and off-sites Location We're prioritizing building our team with an in-person culture at our offices in Paris, London, San Francisco, and New York because we value the magic that happens when talented people work closely together. We have an office-first culture. Some of the best things about building at Dust are the energy, the fast decisions, and the unexpected conversations that unlock a hard problem, which happen because we are in the same room. Being together is not a formality, it is how we do our best work, and it is something we actively protect. That said, we hire people with strong judgement and we extend that trust to how they manage their time. When working from home makes more sense for what you need to get done that day, we trust you to make that call. Why Dust The models are powerful enough. What's missing is the product layer where AI meets how companies actually work. That's what we're building: the infrastructure that lets any team turn scattered knowledge and tools into coordinated execution with agents they build, own, and run themselves. We use Dust ourselves every day. We get to shape how humans and agents collaborate while solving our own problems with the product we ship. That loop is rare, and it's why we move fast. If you're excited about defining a new category and want to join a determined team of optimists who focus on users, ship fast, and don't take themselves too seriously, we'd love to talk. Even if you don't check every box in our requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and we're more interested in your potential and passion than a perfect match to our checklist. Learn how we think and work. About Aspora People on the move deserve a bank that moves with them. Since 2022, Aspora has been building a borderless financial operating system that makes money as mobile and transparent as its users. Backed by influential venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator & Global Founders Capital. We're a team of 150+ across India, the UK, the UAE, EU and the US, working with extreme ownership, radical candour, and an obsession with customer impact. We celebrate builders who question assumptions, ship fast, and turn regulatory complexity into elegant solutions. If you're driven to redefine what global banking can be, we'd love to build the future with you. About the Role People build lives across borders, and Aspora moves their money with them. Aisha is our next bet: an AI finance agent for NRIs that does the work end to end. Most agent companies build the intelligence and hope the rails come later. We already have the rails. This role exists to build the intelligence NRIs will trust with real money. You will own Aisha completely: product, roadmap, team and results. You'll report directly to our CEO. You'll work closely with compliance, legal and our payments teams across the UAE, UK and India. The hard calls are yours: what to build, buy or partner on, and when the agent is ready to act. Who You Are To you, an AI agent is only worth building if it finishes the job. You've built consumer products people rely on every day, and you've shipped AI that holds up in the real world. You've built consumer before. You founded or ran a product people used daily, and you know what users forgive and what loses their trust for good. You've shipped AI that works in production. You have operated evals, orchestration, tool use and failure modes yourself, not just read about them. You bring money-grade judgement. You've worked where mistakes move other people's money, or you can show you learn regulated domains fast. You lead by doing. You stay close enough to the product and the code to make the call yourself. You've moved quickly everywhere you've been. Your track record shows people kept trusting you with more, sooner than expected. You've been tested. A failed launch, a company that died or a regulatory wall. You made sound calls under pressure and followed through to the end. Most importantly, you want to prove that AI can be trusted with people's money. What You'll Own This role comes with a founder's mandate, inside a company that already has licences, partners and customers. Own Aisha end to end. Take it from early build to a product NRIs trust with real money tasks. Shape the agent stack. Decide what to build, buy or partner on across models, orchestration, data connections and agent payment rails. Make reliability the product. Build an agent that completes long, multi-step tasks, with evals, guardrails and failure modes treated as core features. Ship consumer-grade experiences. Own onboarding, activation and retention, starting with a hundred research sessions a week that you recruit yourself. Build the founding team. Hire senior engineers first, then add design and data as the product earns them. Act safely on licensed rails. Partner with compliance and legal so the agent can move money without ever becoming the incident. What you build will decide how far Aspora goes beyond payments, and how fast we get there. Why Aspora You'll define what a trustworthy AI finance agent looks like, and own the outcome it delivers. You'll work directly with our CEO, with compliance, legal and payments as partners from day one. You'll build on licences, bank partnerships and live corridors that most agent startups spend years chasing. You'll own product, roadmap, team and results from the day you join. Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and ESOPs aligned with Aspora's long-term vision. Find Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

About Ryft Ryft is a regulated payment facilitator and authorised payment institution building the infrastructure layer for modern commerce platforms. We enable marketplaces, SaaS platforms and multi-party ecosystems to embed and monetise payments natively. Our technology handles onboarding, compliance, orchestration, split payments and revenue sharing, allowing our partners to focus on growth while we manage complexity. We are now entering the next phase of scale, expanding into new verticals and building a category-defining embedded payments platform. The Role We're looking for an HR Advisor to lead day-to-day HR delivery at Ryft. As Ryft scales, you'll be the day-to-day face of HR for our managers and employees: the person people come to with questions on policy, performance or onboarding whilst also supporting senior leadership with people strategy. This is a hands-on generalist role. You'll own the operational rhythm of HR at Ryft: keeping policies current and compliant, running onboarding and offboarding smoothly, advising line managers on employee relations issues, and making sure the basics (contracts, letters, records, right-to-work checks) are handled accurately and on time. In a company our size, you'll also have real scope to shape how we do things, not just administer what already exists. What you'll do Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR queries, including policy interpretation, performance management, absence, and general employee relations Advise on and support employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement) in partnership with the Finance Director, ensuring fair process and accurate documentation Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding: contracts, right-to-work checks, new starter setup, exit interviews, and leaver admin Maintain and improve HR policies and the employee handbook, keeping them current with UK employment law and FCA-appropriate conduct standards Keep HR systems and records accurate and audit-ready (HRIS, contracts, absence tracking, benefits administration) Support the annual people cycle, including probation reviews, performance reviews, and salary/benefits benchmarking cycles, with accurate data and timely admin Help managers navigate difficult conversations with practical, pragmatic advice rather than just policy citations Spot patterns across employee queries and casework and flag process or policy gaps to the Finance Director Support recruitment coordination where needed, including offer letters, referencing, and onboarding logistics for new hires What we're looking for Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Officer, or similar generalist role, ideally in a fast-moving or scale-up environment Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and confidence applying it practically, not just theoretically Experience handling employee relations casework independently, with good judgement on when to escalate Comfortable operating with a degree of ambiguity, since at our size not every situation has a precedent or a written process yet Strong attention to detail and a genuine dislike of dropped admin, since accuracy on contracts, records, and compliance really matters here Clear, empathetic communicator who can flex between supporting an employee through a difficult moment and giving a manager direct, practical advice CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification Nice to have Experience in fintech, payments, or another FCA-regulated environment Exposure to scaling an HR function through headcount growth (e.g. from ~20 to 50+ employees) What you'll get Genuine ownership of HR delivery at a company where your work is visible and valued, not lost in a large HR function Direct exposure to the Finance Director and senior leadership, with real input into how our people processes evolve A seat at a fast-growing, well-funded fintech scaling in a genuinely underserved part of the payments market Find Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
About The Role We are looking for a VP of Marketing to build and lead the marketing function at Ryft. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set marketing strategy and budget, build and manage a team spanning multiple disciplines, and personally drive execution where it counts. You will report into the COO and work closely with the senior leadership team, translating commercial and product priorities into a marketing plan that supports B2B growth across the UK, EU and US. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Leadership Own the marketing strategy for Ryft, aligned to commercial targets, product roadmap and international expansion plans. Set clear priorities and OKRs for the marketing function, and represent marketing performance and plans to the senior leadership team and board. Build Ryft's brand and market position within the payments and fintech space, with a clear point of view on differentiation versus competitors and acquirers. Budget and Resource Management Build, own and manage the marketing budget, with clear allocation across channels, campaigns and headcount. Track spend against ROI and commercial outcomes, and make the case for investment or reallocation with senior stakeholders. Manage relationships and contracts with external agencies, freelancers and vendors. Team Leadership and Development Build out the marketing team as Ryft scales, hiring, developing and managing direct reports across relevant disciplines (e.g. content, demand generation, brand, product marketing, comms). Set individual and team objectives, run regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and create a strong, accountable team culture. Identify capability gaps and build the case for new hires or specialist support as the function grows. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Sales, Commercial, Product and Compliance to ensure marketing activity is joined up with wider business priorities. Coordinate go-to-market plans for new products, partnerships and market entries (including new geographies). Act as a connector across disciplines, ensuring brand, content, demand and comms work as one coherent function rather than in silos. Hands-On Execution Stay close to the work: this is not a purely strategic role. You will be expected to get into the detail on campaigns, content and messaging where needed, particularly while the team is small. Personally lead or shape flagship activity such as major campaigns, events, PR moments and thought leadership. Stakeholder Reporting Report regularly to the COO and senior leadership team on marketing performance, pipeline contribution and budget. Present marketing strategy and results to the board as required. Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, including Sales, Commercial and Product leadership. What we are looking for Experience: Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within B2B, fintech, payments or a related regulated industry. Track record of building and leading marketing teams across multiple disciplines, from strategy through to hands-on execution. Experience owning and managing a marketing budget, with strong commercial judgement on ROI and prioritisation. Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience reporting to senior leadership and/or a board. Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, particularly in a scaling business where resources are not unlimited. Experience supporting international market expansion is a strong plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. What Success Looks Like A marketing function that is structured, resourced and delivering against clear commercial objectives within the first 6-12 months. A marketing budget that is well-managed, defensible and demonstrably linked to pipeline and brand outcomes. Strong, trusted working relationships with the COO, senior leadership team and board. A marketing team that is well-led, developing, and delivering consistently across disciplines. Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
LOCATION: King's Cross, London · PATTERN: Hybrid, with regular time in the lab The opportunity We're a stealth startup in AI and bio, building infrastructure for data generation. The team is small and elite, the problems are hard, and the foundations are being laid right now. You'd help write them from the first line, with real ownership and a direct line to the founders. This role owns the analysis of our functional genomics data. You would be the main computational partner to the scientists who run our perturbation screens, from how a screen is designed to which hits we call and how we show the evidence for them. About us AI for biology has a data problem. The data that matters most doesn't exist yet, so we're building the infrastructure to produce it, with quality and traceability built in from day one. We're in stealth and heads-down on execution. We'll share more about what we're building once you've spoken with the team. The role You will join the intelligence team and own the analysis of our functional genomics data, working day to day with the scientists who design and run the screens. You will work with them from experimental design through to picking hits, and build the pipelines that let the analysis keep up as screening throughput grows. This is a hands-on role with real influence over how we generate and use our data. The data is multimodal. Single-cell and pooled CRISPR screens are read out by sequencing, by Cell Painting and other high-content imaging, and by proteomics, often on the same perturbations. Much of the job is making those readouts agree with each other, with statistics that hold up when a screen crosses several factors at once. You will work with the software team, who own how data is captured and stored. You build the analysis on top of that, and you own its quality. Your first 90 days FIRST 30 DAYS ◆ Learn how the scientists design and run the screens, and what each readout produces, from sequencing to imaging and proteomics. ◆ Review the analysis and QC that exist for CRISPR screens and Cell Painting, and set out what is missing. DAYS 30 TO 60 ◆ Own the analysis of the first single-cell and pooled CRISPR screens you work on: QC, guide assignment, differential expression and modelling of perturbation effects. ◆ Build the first image-based profiling pipeline for Cell Painting, from feature extraction and normalisation to phenotypic scoring. ◆ Advise on the design of upcoming screens, covering power, replication, library coverage, plate layout and batch effects. DAYS 60 TO 90 ◆ Integrate proteomic, transcriptomic and imaging readouts of the same perturbations, with statistics that hold up for multi-factor designs. ◆ Make the pipelines reproducible and versioned, with the software team, so they scale as throughput grows. ◆ Present results with their uncertainty and QC to the scientists and to leadership. Who you are You have a background in genomics, and you have analysed real screening or single-cell data and built things other people relied on. That might have been in a functional genomics or screening group in biotech or pharma, an academic lab, a core facility, or a computational group that worked closely with one. Nobody arrives with every part of this role. If you are strong in most of it and quick to learn the rest, we want to hear from you. You like working next to the bench. Much of the value is in the conversations with the scientists before a screen runs, and you can explain a result to someone who was not in the room. You write code other people can run, and you care how a result reads to the person receiving it. We do not hire people into boxes. This role will stretch past its description, sometimes into the lab and sometimes into conversations about how our data is used. Early hires here are expected to pick up what is in front of them. MUST HAVE ◆ A PhD, or a master's with two to three years of relevant experience, in genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics or a related field. ◆ Strong Python or R, with good engineering habits such as Git, code review and reproducible workflows, and working with coding agents. ◆ Hands-on single-cell RNA-seq analysis, for example with Scanpy or Seurat, including MEMBER OF TECHNICAL STAFF, INTELLIGENCE (FUNCTIONAL GENOMICS) CRISPR screen QC such as guide assignment and knockdown efficiency. ◆ Statistical and machine learning methods on biological data, including linear and mixed models, multiple testing, and handling batch effects and confounders. ◆ Working closely with wet-lab scientists, and explaining results clearly to people outside your field. NICE TO HAVE ◆ Perturb-seq or combinatorial-barcoding single-cell RNA-seq, such as Parse Evercode. ◆ Image-based profiling, such as CellProfiler or pycytominer, or deep-learning image analysis. ◆ Multi-omic integration methods. ◆ Workflow managers such as Nextflow or Snakemake, containers such as Docker, and cloud or HPC computing such as AWS. Why this is unusual Most screening analysis happens after the fact, on files from a lab someone else runs, with little record of how each plate was handled. Here you sit with the scientists who run the screens, you can ask how a plate was handled and get an answer, and your analysis goes out with the data. It also crosses readouts that usually live in separate teams. Sequencing, imaging and proteomics from the same perturbations come through one small team, and the analysis has to hold up across all of them. Some people find that energising; some find it outside their lane. It's worth knowing in advance which one you are. How we work The role is based in London, at our lab and office in King's Cross. Time in person with the scientists matters for this work. The wider founding team is distributed across London, New York and Europe and travels, so you will work with people who are not always in the building. We work in the open. Decisions are written down and work happens in Slack. The whole company meets once a week at the start of the week, and there is a regular offsite. Each person owns their area and makes the call inside it, and we will expect that of you early rather than late. UK benefits are 30 days of annual leave plus public holidays, a pension with a 10% employer contribution, and Bupa private health cover. More is added as the team grows. The team you will join You will report into the intelligence team. You will work most closely with the functional genomics scientists who design and run the screens, and with the software team. You will be the first person on the intelligence team whose focus is functional genomics data, joining a small team. Our process Our process has four stages. A short screening call about the role and the practicalities. A behavioural interview about how you work and what you value, run from the same template for every candidate. A technical stage built on a real analysis problem from our lab, not a puzzle. You spend a few hours writing up how you would approach it, using the tools you would use on the job, coding agents included, with a short note on the decisions you made. We care about judgement more than hours, so a focused answer beats an exhaustive one. We then go through it with you in person. Then references, aimed at whatever we still want to understand. If you are not sure whether you are a fit, apply anyway. We would rather read it and decide. We are an equal opportunity employer. We make hiring decisions on merit, scope-fit, and the strength of the working relationship we expect to build with each hire. Applications welcome from candidates of any background. LOCATION: King's Cross, London · PATTERN: Hybrid, flexible for the right candidate The opportunity We're a stealth startup in AI and bio, building infrastructure for data generation. The team is small and elite, the problems are hard, and the foundations are being laid right now. You'd help write them from the first line, with real ownership and a direct line to the founders. This role builds our computational chemistry from the start. You would own how a set of target molecules becomes a synthesis plan that automated equipment can run, and how every compound we work with is represented and registered. About us AI for biology has a data problem. The data that matters most doesn't exist yet, so we're building the infrastructure to produce it, with quality and traceability built in from day one. We're in stealth and heads-down on execution. We'll share more about what we're building once you've spoken with the team. The role You will own computational chemistry end to end, from the molecules someone wants made to the plan the lab executes. The role sits at the interface between synthetic chemistry, cheminformatics and software, and lab automation, and you will build the computational capability alongside the physical synthesis and automation capability from an early stage. The role is embedded with the synthetic chemists and the automation scientists and engineers, and you will work with them every day. Much of the value comes from drawing out what experienced chemists know and turning their judgement into rules, models and workflows that apply the same way every time. Two parts of the role go beyond standard computational chemistry, and they are why it matters so much. Routes that automation can execute. A chemically plausible route is only the starting point. Planning has to account for what the platform can do, including the building blocks and reagents available, the reaction classes and conditions it supports, handling constraints, work-up and purification, and throughput. It also has to work across a whole target set. Given hundreds or thousands of targets, you will find the shared chemistry, common intermediates and building blocks, and reduce them to a manageable set of synthetic strategies, balancing diversity and compound value against synthetic cost. You will work with the automation team to define what planning hands to the systems downstream, and over time connect planning, synthesis and experimental results so that each round of results improves the next plan. Chemical identity from the outset. The digital representation and identity of compounds has to be right from the start, because other scientific teams will rely on compound registration for chemical identity, as well as synthesis planning. You will establish when two structures represent the same chemical entity and when they do not, and handle stereoisomers, salts, tautomers, protonation and charge states and other representation and normalisation questions consistently. You will be the first person in this seat. You will choose the methods, set the standards, write the first production code and shape how the capability grows, including who joins it. Your first 90 days FIRST 30 DAYS ◆ Learn how the synthetic chemists and the automation team work, and what the synthesis platform will and will not support. ◆ Agree the rules for chemical identity with the chemists, covering structure normalisation, validation and deduplication, and how stereochemistry, isomers, salts, tautomers and charge states are handled. ◆ Start ingesting vendor catalogues and building-block inventories through supplier APIs and external chemical data sources, capturing availability, cost and metadata so they can act as planning constraints. ◆ Agree with the automation team what a synthesis plan has to specify for the platform to execute it. DAYS 30 TO 60 ◆ Set up compound-registration workflows and identifiers that downstream systems can rely on. ◆ Run a first planning pass on a real target set, generating, evaluating and ranking routes and grouping targets by shared chemistry, intermediates and building blocks. DAYS 60 TO 90 ◆ Build the platform's capabilities and constraints into planning, so routes are scored on whether they can be executed as well as whether they are plausible. ◆ Add selection across the target set that weighs diversity and compound value against synthetic cost, step count and throughput. ◆ Connect compounds, reactions and experimental results to the wider digital chemistry stack (ELN, LIMS and compound registration), and set out how results will feed back into the route and reaction models. Who you are You work across disciplines. You might be a computational chemist or cheminformatician who has spent real time with synthetic chemists, or a synthetic chemist who moved into modelling and software and still cares whether a route works at the bench. You have built synthesis-planning or chemical-data tools that other people relied on, and you know where they break. You think in sets of molecules as well as single ones. You are comfortable making decisions on incomplete information, writing them down, and changing them when the data says so. You listen carefully to chemists, because much of what this role needs is in their judgement and has never been written down. This is a founding seat. You will lead the computational side of our chemistry, and we expect you to shape it from your first week. Nobody arrives with every part of this role. If you are strong in most of it and quick to learn the rest, we want to hear from you. We do not hire people into boxes. This role will stretch past its description, into the lab and into how other teams use chemical data, and early hires here pick up what is in front of them. MUST HAVE ◆ Enough grounding in synthetic organic chemistry to speak the language of synthetic chemists, draw out and distill their expertise, and translate practical chemical judgement into computational rules, models and workflows. ◆ Strong cheminformatics, particularly the rigorous handling of chemical structures in digital form, including molecular and reaction representations, SMILES and SMARTS, stereochemistry and isomers, salts, tautomers, protonation and charge states, substructure and similarity searching, molecular descriptors, and chemical identity and registration. ◆ Experience with retrosynthesis or computer-aided synthesis planning, developing or evaluating methods that generate, evaluate and rank synthetic routes rather than simply calling an off-the-shelf tool. ◆ Reasoning computationally about reactions and their feasibility, including transformations and templates, reagents, conditions, selectivity and supporting reaction evidence. ◆ Planning across many targets at once, finding the shared chemistry, common intermediates and building blocks across hundreds or thousands of molecules and reducing them to a manageable set of synthetic strategies. ◆ A working grasp of the trade-offs between route quality, synthetic tractability, compound diversity and value, building-block availability, cost, step count and throughput. ◆ RDKit or equivalent cheminformatics tooling, and comfort working with chemical databases, APIs and large chemical datasets. NICE TO HAVE ◆ ML or AI approaches to reaction prediction, condition recommendation or retrosynthesis. ◆ Reaction-condition prediction or optimisation, and the design of high-throughput experimentation. ◆ Using experimental reaction data to improve models or planning decisions. ◆ Optimisation methods for selecting compounds or routes across large libraries, such as diversity selection, synthetic-cost models and multi-objective optimisation. ◆ Integrating scientific software with laboratory automation, and with ELN, LIMS or compound-registration systems. ◆ Production-quality scientific software, APIs, databases and data pipelines. Why this is unusual Most computational chemistry roles plan routes for chemists to carry out by hand, or build models on reaction data someone else collected. Here, a route counts only if the platform can execute it, and the results of every run come back to you as data to learn from. The work also reaches past synthesis. The rules you set for chemical identity become the reference other teams build on, so a salt form or a tautomer handled carelessly matters well beyond a single route. Some people find that energising; some find it outside their lane. It's worth knowing in advance which one you are. How we work The role is based at our office in King's Cross, London. Our preference is a hybrid pattern with regular time in person with the chemists and the automation team, and for the right candidate we are open to a more flexible arrangement. The wider founding team is distributed across London, New York and Europe and travels, so you will work with people who are not always in the building. We work in the open. Decisions are written down and work happens in Slack. The whole company meets once a week at the start of the week, and there is a regular offsite. UK benefits are 30 days of annual leave plus public holidays, a pension with a 10% employer contribution, and Bupa private health cover. More is added as the team grows. The team you will join You will report to the co-founder who leads our science. You will work most closely with the synthetic chemists and with the automation scientists and engineers. You will be the first person whose focus is computational chemistry, joining a small team. Our process Our process has four stages. A short screening call about the role and the practicalities. A behavioural interview about how you work and what you value. A technical stage built on a real problem of the kind this role owns. Was vereinheitlichst du sofort, und was lässt du ein Jahr laufen? Was du lieferst, geht in Bankengespräche und Kaufentscheidungen. FAQ 1. 5. Wie funktioniert die variable Vergütung? Quartalsweise an Leistung gekoppelt, qualitativ bewertet.
