?? Are you a cloud architect who can design a platform from a blank page and stay hands-on to build it? We're hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect to join an established Canadian software company whose production-monitoring and reporting software is used by packaged goods manufacturers. Its products currently run on customer servers; this role designs and builds the company's first cloud-hosted offering from the ground up, from collecting manufacturing data at customer sites to the reporting customers use. The role offers a greenfield product to own end-to-end, with the autonomy to make the architectural calls that shape it. ? Who You Are An architect who understands the full pipeline, from data collection at the source to customer-facing reporting, and how each part affects the others Someone who stays hands-on, building and deploying what they design rather than handing it off A self-starter who takes ownership in a small division where one person carries broad responsibility Comfortable making sound decisions before every requirement is fully defined A clear technical communicator who turns requirements into designs an engineering team can build ? Work Type Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid, 2 days per week) Vacancy Type: This role is a newly created position Requirements ? What You'll Do Design the architecture for a new multi-tenant SaaS product, from data ingestion at customer sites through cloud-hosted services to customer-facing reporting Build, deploy, and maintain the cloud infrastructure and backend components hands-on while the engineering team is hired Design data pipelines that move operational data from on-premises manufacturing environments into the cloud reliably and securely Define patterns for multi-tenancy, customer data isolation, scalability, and security Evaluate cloud platforms and technology options, recommending where to start small and how to scale based on cost and long-term maintainability Learn how the company's existing on-premises product works and carry that knowledge into a lighter cloud offering Deliver a starting proposal for the platform and the roles needed to build it within the first three months Stand up CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and monitoring for the new platform Work with a small group of early customers to identify what the product needs first ? What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience as a cloud or solutions architect, designing systems and making the platform and technology calls behind them Experience designing and building cloud systems end to end, not just contributing to a single layer Experience with more than one major cloud platform, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Experience building systems that ingest and process high volumes of operational data Significant experience designing and deploying databases at scale, including schema design, query performance, and storage trade-offs Strong grasp of distributed systems: data flow, service boundaries, failure modes, and resilience patterns Experience integrating cloud platforms with on-premises or operationally constrained environments Familiarity with SaaS patterns such as multi-tenancy, customer data isolation, and subscription-based delivery Experience producing cost analyses and platform recommendations that balance a small start against future growth Nice to have: Experience in industrial, IoT or manufacturing environments Experience with .NET and SQL Server Experien

Senior Frontend Engineer (Growth & E-commerce)
Full TimeOn-siteMid$85,000 - $100,000 / Year
typescriptreactnext.jssqlbigquerylooker+5

The role You will build the storefronts customers shop on and own the measurement mechanisms that tell the business whether they work. You will ship React and Next.js features across our dispensary and brand sites, and you will be the single owner of the analytics implementation, from the dataLayer in our components through Google Tag Manager into GA4 and BigQuery. Technical SEO and our integration with Sweed, the e-commerce and POS platform behind our menus and checkout, are yours too. You will make sure every tracking code and pixel is installed correctly, captures the data points we target, and sends accurate data to the systems and platforms we rely on, such as Google. Marketing, merchandising and leadership make revenue decisions from that data. What You Will Own Storefront features. React and Next.js pages and components, built in TypeScript, tested, and accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA. Measurement. The tracking plan and every link in the chain: dataLayer events, GTM containers, GA4 properties and the BigQuery export. Maintain data quality across the chain, reconcile GA4 against e-commerce revenue, and build automated checks so releases protect tracking. Checkout and pixels. Tracking across our embedded checkout, including attribution and consent, and governance of marketing pixels and tags. E-commerce integration. Our Sweed integration: menu and product data, store routing and edge cases, including ongoing API integration work. Technical SEO. Structured data, sitemaps, canonicals and crawlability across a large catalog of store, menu and product pages. Growth support. Support the Growth team's A/B tests and conversion analysis by implementing test variants and the tracking that measures them. New site launches. Launch new sites from our shared codebase, each with its own analytics and content setup. Contractors. Direct and review the work of external contractors assigned to frontend and analytics work. How We Work We run two-week sprints and ship weekly. Stories carry testable acceptance criteria, and done means tests pass, accessibility is verified, analytics events fire and the change is checked on staging. Pull requests stay small and get reviewed the same day. Blockers are raised the day you hit them, and every retro item becomes a ticket with an owner. AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor are part of how we work every day. We want someone who already works this way, gives those tools good context, and checks their output against acceptance criteria and real production data rather than trusting a green build. What You Bring 5+ years building production React applications, including Next.js and TypeScript. 2+ years implementing analytics in code: GTM, GA4 and dataLayer design. Working SQL, ideally against GA4's BigQuery export. Experience integrating third-party commerce APIs. Accessible front-end work to WCAG standards, with automated tests as part of done. Scrum team experience, daily use of AI coding tools, and clear writing that a marketer or QA engineer can act on. Nice to have Sweed, Dutchie, Jane or another menu and POS platform, or other regulated e-commerce. Technical SEO for large server-rendered sites. Cross-domain or iframe tracking, and browser privacy and consent constraints. Headless WordPress with ACF. Server-side tagging and experimentation platforms. Metabase, Looker or another BI tool. What We Offer Verano Base Pay Range $85,000 - $100,000 + Bonus Actual pay is based on experience, qualifications, and location of the role. Roles may be eligible for annual bonus program based on individual and company performance. Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) matching Paid holidays Paid time off Product discounts Physical and Mental Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. Middle Backend Developer (PHP · AWS Lambda · AI)
Full TimeOn-siteMid

Bear Claw is an AI-powered recruiting and applicant tracking platform built to help recruiters work smarter and place top talent faster. Our platform brings the entire recruiting workflow into one system — from candidate and job management to team collaboration, sourcing, and outreach. At the center is Cora, our conversational AI assistant, which uses vector search and LLM-powered technology to identify candidate-job matches, surface opportunities, and help recruiters take action faster. Bear Claw combines powerful recruiting technology with practical AI to make the hiring process more efficient, intelligent, and scalable. About the Role We're looking for a Middle Backend Developer to join our engineering team and help build and scale the services that power our product. You'll spend most of your time working in PHP on a serverless architecture built with AWS Lambda , backed by MySQL . Alongside our core backend, we're investing heavily in AI-driven features — so you'll also support and extend our AI Agent functionality , which is written in Python and backed by PostgreSQL . This is a hands-on role for someone who writes clean, reliable, well-tested code, cares about doing things the right way, and is excited to build scalable solutions that make use of AI. You'll have real ownership over the features you ship and room to grow toward more senior technical work. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain backend services in PHP running on AWS Lambda (serverless). Model, query, and optimize data in MySQL — including schema design, indexing, and query performance. Support, maintain, and extend our AI Agent functionality written in Python and backed by PostgreSQL . Build scalable solutions that leverage AI/LLM capabilities , turning new AI features from prototype into production-grade services. Write high-quality, maintainable code that follows engineering best practices — clear structure, tests, and sensible patterns. Participate actively in code reviews , both giving and receiving constructive feedback. Integrate third-party APIs and internal services reliably and securely. Monitor, debug, and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost of serverless functions. Contribute to technical discussions, documentation, and continuous improvement of our codebase and processes. Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and other engineers to deliver features end to end. What We're Looking For Roughly 2–4 years of professional backend development experience. Strong, practical experience with PHP in a production environment. Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda or serverless architecture (and comfort with the AWS ecosystem generally). Solid MySQL skills: relational data modeling, writing efficient queries, and troubleshooting performance. Working knowledge of Python — enough to confidently read, support, and extend the AI agent codebase. Familiarity with PostgreSQL . Good understanding of REST APIs , version control ( Git ), automated testing, and general software best practices. Genuine interest in AI/LLM-based features and a willingness to grow your skills in that area. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks. Nice to Have Prior experience building or integrating AI agents / LLM-powered features (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks, and prompt/tooling design). Experience with additional AWS services: API Gateway, SQS, S3, AuroraDB, CloudWatch, Lambda, SNS . Familiarity with event-driven / message-queue architectures. Experience with Docker , CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code ( CloudFormation ). Exposure to vector databases or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Comfort working across two language stacks (PHP + Python) without friction. What You'll Bring as a Teammate Ownership — you take responsibility for what you ship, from first commit to production. Clear communication — you explain your thinking and collaborate well with others. A quality mindset — you care about clean, tested, maintainable code, not just "make it work." Curiosity — especially about AI and how to apply it in scalable, practical ways. Perks: Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, vision, dental, and a 401(k). Work closely with like-minded industry professionals dedicated to innovation and success. Strong company culture of high performance and quality customer care. Multiple career advancement paths: ability to develop niche skills and move into management
