Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join:  On the Hotels CX team at Airbnb, we support the guests who book with HotelTonight and the hotels who host them on HotelTonight and Airbnb. Hotels are a growing part of what Airbnb offers travelers, and it's an area the company is investing in heavily right now, which means this team's work sits at the center of how that experience takes hold. Every guest we take care of and every hotel partner we support well shapes how hotels grow on Airbnb. The Difference You Will Make: As a Hotels CX Supervisor, you'll coach, motivate, and manage a team of Hotel Specialists and Team Specialists, making sure they have what they need to serve our guests and our hotel partners exceptionally. You'll work closely with Hotels CX leadership to evaluate and manage team performance and quality, and to execute the processes and policies that deliver a seamless experience. A Typical Day:  Builds and Nurtures Team Engagement and Well Being Own and manage end to end people strategy and operations within your team, including onboarding, talent development, and engagement. Hold regular one on ones, used for coaching and development rather than status updates. Ensure engagement by building strong connections and translating Airbnb's mission into meaningful, clear goals for your team. Lead with empathy to establish approachability, and to support and challenge the team to meet and exceed expectations. Enable professional and personal growth through feedback, opportunity creation, and expectation setting. Handle day to day management duties: scheduling, time off approvals, team meetings, and basic HR related matters. Build morale by sharing wins, fostering open dialogue, and creating a sense of belonging. Performance Accountability Manage individual performance to ensure policy compliance and delivery against quality, efficiency, and other performance targets. Hold team members accountable fairly and equitably by setting clear expectations, following up individually, and coaching in a way tailored to each person. Deliver difficult feedback directly and early rather than letting issues accumulate. Recognize strong performance specifically and visibly. Think critically about policies and procedures, and identify opportunities to improve Hotels CX performance. Operational Execution Lead the team toward company and strategic goals, following the Operations Manager's direction and collaborating on recommendations for service improvements. Prioritize the team's work based on seasonality and the needs of guests, hotel partners, and the business. Work closely with fellow Supervisors and maintain a strong connection to partner management site leads supporting external teams. Provide consistent feedback and recommendations to Hotels CX stakeholders to support continuous improvement. Stay connected to the customer by handling occasional escalated issues. Own projects beyond your team's day to day scope, from process changes to service improvements, and carry them through to landing. Contribute to service enhancements as part of a small leadership team, where everyone carries a piece of the broader roadmap rather than only their own team's work. Strengths Coaching and developing others: You give feedback early and directly, and you adjust when it isn't landing. You know the difference between telling someone what to do and helping them figure it out. Building and nurturing engaged teams: You understand that engaged people make great teams, and you know how to drive that. You're team oriented and unselfish, and you motivate without needing authority to do it. Welcoming ambiguity: You can articulate the need for change and encourage optimism in those around you. You perform at a high level during uncertainty and move forward without every detail. Delegating: You share responsibility while holding ultimate accountability. You communicate assignments, expectations, and ownership clearly, and you trust people to perform. Managing vision and purpose: You connect your team's work to what Airbnb is building, and you get people invested in it. Improving how we work: You spot friction and bring ideas, not just problems. Your Expertise: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred At least 5 years of customer service experience At least 2 years of experience leading, coaching, or developing others. This can take many forms: managing a team, leading peers through a project or process change, mentoring newer teammates, or serving as the go-to resource on your team. Senior Software Engineer, Streaming Infrastructure

Airbnb's Data Infrastructure organization builds the systems that store, move, and transform data across the company. Our Data Movement & Transformation (DMT) group is building a single, unified platform for moving data between Airbnb's storage systems, replacing dozens of one-off tools with one reliable, well-supported way to get data where it needs to go. This platform is the foundation for Data as a Service, a top-level infrastructure initiative at Airbnb. The Community You Will Join: The Ingestion team is the front door to DMT. We build and operate two managed, multi-tenant platforms that move data out of Airbnb's online databases for offline processing: SpinalTap: near real-time change data capture (CDC) streaming to Kafka for every Aurora and UDS table at Airbnb. DBExports: periodic full-table snapshots and mutation exports. Teams across Airbnb depend on these systems, including payments, fraud detection, financial reporting, search, messaging, notifications, and machine learning. Reliability, performance, and scale are the product. You'll work closely with DMT's other teams, which own real-time streaming infrastructure, pipeline orchestration, and schema management, and you'll have the chance to work across the broader platform The Difference You Will Make: Be hands-on (code, design, test) and work with partner teams, internal customers, and leadership to deliver multi-month projects on time. Design, build, and operate large-scale CDC and batch export systems that run across every online database at Airbnb. Help shape the architecture of DMT's unified data movement platform while it's being built. Improve the reliability, performance, and efficiency of systems that critical business functions depend on. Make it easier for engineers at Airbnb to get their data into offline systems without needing to be database or pipeline experts. Take part in on-call and raise the operational bar for a platform that other teams build on. Your Expertise: 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend distributed systems, such as data ingestion, streaming, CDC, storage, or data platforms. Hands-on experience with streaming systems like Kafka, and with how databases capture and publish changes (binlogs, Debezium, or similar). Ability to own and go deep in a complex codebase. Experience maintaining, analyzing, and debugging production systems at scale. Clean, readable, testable, and maintainable code. Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote-working environment. Strong ownership and a track record of delivering on time. Nice to Have: Experience building managed or multi-tenant platforms used by other engineering teams. Familiarity with MySQL/Aurora, schema evolution, or large-scale batch data processing. Take accountability for a suitable solution deployment strategy (Customer, Partner or Cloudflare Professional services) being an integral part of all proposals. Design structured migration and onboarding blueprints tailored to the customer's environment (e.g. DNS migrations, Zero Trust rollouts, WAF tuning guidance), and act as the lead consultant for customer engineering teams, walking them step-by-step through configuration best practices.  Partner with Account Executives to own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy. Proactively monitor customer health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid time-to-value, resolve integration bottlenecks, and reduce deployment risk. Commercial Accountability & Expansion: Carry a variable quota tied directly to new business acquisition and/or ongoing account growth. Be commercially accountable for ensuring deep platform adoption, retaining revenue, and identifying strategic cross-sell and up-sell opportunities based on product usage data. Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to translate platform capabilities into return on investment for C-level executives. Trusted Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the entire customer lifecycle, maintaining a continuous, deep relationship with key stakeholders from initial onboarding through maturity, renewal, and expansion. Commercial Mindset: Proven track record of operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment, with a strong understanding of SaaS metrics, business value translation, and enterprise sales cycles. Communication: Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging the gap between deep technical implementation details and high-level C-suite business strategy. Product Manager, Trips

data sciencepartnershipsrecruitingresearch

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join Our Product Marketing Managers work backwards from the ideal experience for guests and hosts, turning product thinking, data, and research into strategy. They lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data science, program management, and marketing, and they stay detail-oriented and hands-on. The Guest product team builds the end-to-end journey guests take with us, from the first idea through the trip itself. Trips is where that journey comes together: the place guests see their reservations, plan what to do, coordinate with their group, and add experiences and services to their stay. The Difference You Will Make Airbnb is expanding beyond stays into experiences and services. Trips is where that growth happens: guests who have already booked a stay discover and book everything else for their trip. As Product Marketing Manager for Trips, you'll help build that business from its early stages into a habit for millions of guests. You'll own the feature roadmap across much of the Trips program and make the calls on scope and priority with your design and engineering teams. You'll lead those teams from brief to launch, use a steady cadence of experiment results to decide what to build next, and grow the share of trips that include experiences, services, and more. You'll also craft the product narrative that explains each release to leadership internally and to guests externally. A Typical Day Translate business goals into product briefs and requirements for new Trips features, each grounded in a real guest need Drive execution with engineering, design, data science, and program management, from concept through launch and iteration, often with many features in flight at once Shape how and when we suggest the next booking: in-app placements, personalized ranking, offers, and lifecycle messaging across the guest's trip Work with supply, partnerships, and operations teams so the experiences, services, and partner offerings guests see are relevant, available, and easy to book Partner with data scientists and engineers on the experiments they run in product, synthesize the outcomes, and make clear calls on what to scale, iterate on, or stop Make prioritization calls when guest experience, business impact, and engineering cost pull against each other, and keep partners aligned Present strategy and results in leadership reviews, turning complex tradeoffs into clear decisions and concise narratives Your Expertise 8+ years in product marketing or product management, with a track record of moving a core growth metric (conversion, attach, frequency, or revenue per customer) through features you led to launch Strong execution: you've led cross-functional teams through complex launches on time and at a high quality bar, often with several features in flight at once Experience working on two-sided marketplaces or multi-product platforms, balancing what's right for customers with what makes supply and partners successful Fluent in experiment results: you can define what a test needs to learn, read growth metrics alongside guardrails like satisfaction and retention, and turn them into product decisions Strong judgment of consumer product quality, and a clear sense of what makes an experience useful and delightful Ability to earn the trust of engineering, design, and data science partners and lead without formal authority Clear, structured communicator who can distill complex tradeoffs for executives and translate strategy into actionable guidance for teams Experience at a fast-growing consumer marketplace, launching a new category or business line (preferred) Your Location We are open to candidates in multiple locations, but we ask that you are able to work Pacific Time Zone work hours as needed. This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. The Community You Will Join: Our Product Marketing Managers start with the guest and work backwards, turning product thinking, data, and research into strategy. They own outcomes end to end, lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data science, and program management, and stay close enough to the details to know when something is off. The Social team is making Airbnb a place where you travel with, and because of, the people you know. Our strategy has three parts: scaling the social graph, building social features that make Airbnb fun and useful for you and your friends, and creating social experiences that help people form new relationships and strengthen existing ones in real life. Each part has its own dedicated pod of engineers, designers, and program partners. The Difference You Will Make As Product Marketing Manager for Social Features, you'll lead a new pod that turns guests' connections into reasons to come back to Airbnb. You'll own the features people use with their friends: the travel map and sharing it, group travel tools, recommendations from people you know, and how connections are woven across Airbnb to make the whole travel experience better. You'll own the outcome, not just the roadmap: you'll make the calls on scope and priority with a dedicated engineering lead, engineers, and design partner, and be accountable for the results. You'll take features from brief to launch, use experiment results to decide what to build next, and grow how often guests plan, book, and share trips with the people they know. You'll also write the product narrative that explains each release to leadership and to guests.
