Who We Are About Bridge We're creating an entirely new payments platform, built with stablecoins, to simplify global money movement. Bridge enables faster, cheaper payments and borderless access to dollars via stablecoins. Through our APIs, businesses can send and receive funds across borders faster and cheaper vs. SWIFT and other fiat-only rails. Our virtual accounts enable international consumers and businesses to easily access, store, and spend US dollars. Our payouts infrastructure enables platforms to disburse USD to anyone globally. We believe many trillions of dollars will move and settle through stablecoin payment rails. Bridge is pulling this future forward. We have a small team of people who have previously built financial infrastructure at some of the world's leading companies (Coinbase, Stripe, Square, Brex, Upstart, DoorDash, Airbnb), and each and every one of them chose Bridge because they fundamentally believe that stablecoins will be a critical piece of financial infrastructure that allows for the improvement of global money movement. About The Role As an early member of the Bridge engineering team, you'll have the autonomy to work on projects that are truly global in scale and aim to give customers access to products they've never had access to. Many of the use cases that we work on today didn't exist several months ago, and that's because our team is dedicated to constant improvement for our partners and end users. Our engineers have outsized ownership over projects, so if you're looking for increased autonomy working on a completely greenfield opportunity, Bridge is the place for you. Responsibilities Ship software to build out our suite of API products. We're an engineering and API-first company, and you'll learn first-hand and contribute towards building highly reliable, performant, and business-critical infrastructure serving thousands of developers across the globe. Take sole ownership of projects, oftentimes without the support of Product Management, and liaise both internally with teams like Legal and Compliance and externally with our partners and developers. Look for constant improvements to our product offerings with the explicit goal of improving the experience for our partners and end users. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes for the team and our broader org. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum Requirements We're open to hiring engineers at various levels of seniority (SWE through Senior Staff), but at a minimum we're looking for somebody with 5+ years of experience. Experience building backend systems with SQL databases. Experience with frameworks such as Rails, Django, Express, or equivalent is a bonus. An enlarged sense of ownership and the ability to lead and influence the design and direction of our products An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment A growth mindset, constant curiosity, and fearlessness to dive into the unknown An ability to write maintainable, well-tested, modular code, but also be pragmatic about moving fast Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical documentation Preferred Qualifications Past experience working on crypto or financial products a plus, and while not required, we do look for people who are very passionate about building in this space Experience with building API products a plus, but not required Experience working with blockchain or distributed systems a big plus Hybrid work at Stripe This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). In-office expectations Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams. Working remotely at Stripe A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live. Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $173,000 - $259,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends. We look forward to hearing from you. At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us. Apply now Please find our California applicant personal information notice here. The application window will remain open for 100 days after the Job Post is published. However, this opportunity will remain open based on the needs of the business, which may cause the application window to close before or after the 100-day mark.

Software Engineer - Growth Phase Cloud SaaS for Municipal Finance Who We Are: Muniworth is a cloud-based SaaS startup in the growth phase, dedicated to empowering municipal utilities and governments with financial forecasting tools. Our platform enables local governments to achieve financial sustainability and make informed, data-driven decisions through robust modelling and compelling visuals. About Our Approach: We believe apparent correctness is not enough: code must respect underlying concepts, with types and named algorithms directly describing the domain. Great code is correct-by-construction, with any remaining uncertainties ruled-out by a suite of unit tests. Furthermore, great design does not happen by accident: it requires clear principles, and the willingness to defend and refine them through spirited deliberation. We strive to write pure, compositional code, with any inevitable impure code tamed by a rigid stratification of effects. To this end, we write TypeScript in a functional programming style. We have an enduring commitment to satisfy the needs of our rapidly growing business, understanding that great code is essential for our continued growth and success. We place a strong emphasis on domain modelling and understanding the nature of the problems that we are solving and will spend considerable time engaged with research and experimental development. We have regular presentations, where engineers talk about whatever excites them, with previous topics including programming language theory, Master's Thesis presentations, World of Warcraft addons, and the philosophy of Machine Learning. What You Will Do: You will build and maintain both new projects and existing systems in a team environment, ensuring stability and long-term maintainability. You will own projects from start to finish, learn and model the associated domain, specify the implementation design, and execute in accordance with your plan. You will communicate progress and coordinate release efforts. You will contribute to new and practical applications of functional programming. You will raise the quality of code in our code base. You will guide the evolution of our tech stack, tooling, and deployment processes to improve reliability and developer experience. You will be fully engaged in an on-site environment in Victoria, BC, contributing to close collaboration and strong team culture. Requirements About You: You will challenge how we do things. Whether it's type systems, design process, testing, architecture, or tooling, you've got a hill you're willing to argue on, and you'll bring that conviction to the team.
