What we do RELEX Solutions delivers a unified supply chain planning platform for retailers and manufacturers, enabled by proven AI technology. We help companies optimize demand forecasting, replenishment, merchandising, pricing and promotions, supply chain operations, and production planning across the end-to-end value chain. Who we are We work on the decisions where retail margins are won and lost. Changing a price is easy. Knowing which of fifty thousand prices to change, what it does to demand, and whether last week's promotion actually made money is not. That is what we build for. RELEX Solutions delivers a unified supply chain and retail planning platform for retailers and manufacturers, enabled by proven AI technology, with a global team of over 2,000 professionals working side-by-side with our customers. The role In response to our fast growth in Europe, we are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer with a software engineering foundation for our Merchandising business. You will be part of the central engineering team, and work with the operations team, directly with our customers. You will be the scientific and technical face of RELEX Merchandising to European retailers. What makes this role different This is not a consulting role and not a solutions architect role. You write production code and build production models that run in live customer environments. The hard part of this job is not prototyping quickly. The hard part is that the improvement you co-develop has to be right, hold up in front of the customer's own analysts, and then run in production every week. You walk in with a hypothesis, test it on their data, and stand behind the result, limitations included. What we need you to do and be Own technical delivery end to end, from discovery through go-live: configuration, extensions, integrations, and the quality of everything that ships into the customer's instance Prove the value you deliver by instrumenting deployments, measuring outcomes against the customer's baseline, and presenting the evidence credibly to operational users and executives alike Own the technical customer relationship, learning their operations deeply enough to challenge requirements and become their first call when a new problem appears Feed the product by capturing gaps and use cases from the field and prototyping solutions that can graduate into the RELEX roadmap Build customer self-sufficiency through knowledge transfer and clean handovers, so they can operate and extend RELEX without you Grow the account by surfacing adjacent use cases, new sites and unused capabilities, and shaping the technical solution and value case together with pre-sales and the account team Support commercial activity with feasibility assessments, proofs of concept and technical demos, so what gets agreed is technically grounded What you'll bring to the table Proven experience designing and building software across the full stack, in production, not just in dev Strong understanding of system design, observability, and hypothesis-driven development Experience building integrations for downstream or customer-facing systems Solid working knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application stacks Strong business acumen: you can translate technical work into measurable financial impact and communicate it clearly to a non-technical audience Comfortable managing ambiguity and taking full ownership of outcomes Willingness to travel and to work on-site at customer locations for parts of an engagement Comfortable using AI in your everyday work and developing AI tool adoption as an organizational strategy Fluent in written and spoken English Nice to have: exposure to retail, merchandising, or pricing and promotions More important: you learn a new domain and a new codebase fast, and you're comfortable being productive before you feel fully up to speed What we offer in return An international career and learning opportunities A rapidly growing and financially robust software company with exciting opportunities for career growth, also in the future RELEX key benefits Flexibility in how and where you work Room to thrive in a fast-growing global company with a good market position Practical benefits that support work, family, wellness, and everyday life Annual leave Diverse, inclusive, and supportive work culture Work that meaningfully reduces waste and improves sustainability Ownership, autonomy and flat hierarchies Two paid volunteering days each year We are a global community of different cultures, voices, and experiences. We celebrate what makes us unique and connect through what we share, in an authentic and safe environment. Together we shape the future, and each other. Please note that to be considered for this position, you must be fluent in English, and hold a valid work permit for the country you reside in / will work in. We're excited to connect with applicants who meet these criteria and share our passion to do hard things, trust each other, and build what's next for the product, the planet, and the people. Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, delivering an ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform alongside a manufacturing architecture that scales from large to extra-large vehicle sizes. The Dive-XL programme is designed, built and tested in Australia and is executing against live contracts. The XL Vehicle System team owns the vehicle end to end – systems, software, mechanical, electrical, and integration and test. ABOUT THE JOB You will own programme execution across the XL vehicle system as it moves from development into production, reporting to the Director of Platforms. The role requires both programme management rigour and genuine technical depth: you will be expected to engage substantively on system architecture, interfaces and verification approach alongside the engineering discipline leads. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own programme planning end to end for the vehicle system: scoping, sequencing, dependency mapping, risk identification, and driving decisions when requirements, timelines or resourcing conflict. Stand up and run the scaled agile cadence across the vehicle programme — coordinating planning increments, cross-team dependency mapping, and integration points across up to ~100 engineers spanning multiple agile teams. Own the rhythm: PI planning, backlog alignment, system demos and inspect-and-adapt events, ensuring the cadence actually drives decisions rather than just generating ceremony. Implement and maintain robust project management methodologies and best practices across the programme, driving predictability and accountability. Proactively identify and mitigate programme risks and challenges, developing mitigation plans alongside the engineers who will execute them. Engage with the technical substance of the programme – architecture, requirements baselines, interfaces and verification approach – well enough to catch problems early rather than simply track status. Partner with discipline leads as a technical peer, pressure-testing estimates and identifying missing scope before a schedule or resourcing decision is made. Translate system-level requirements and subsystem dependencies into a sequenced plan that reflects how the vehicle is actually integrated and tested. Manage interfaces and dependencies across production, supply chain and test, driving resolution where subsystem plans conflict. Lead re-planning as priorities shift, and communicate the change and its technical consequences clearly. Own the technical narrative in design review gates, milestone reviews and executive updates. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated systems engineering capability – requirements decomposition, interface management and ICDs, subsystem trade studies, verification and validation, and requirements traceability across a complex system Technical depth sufficient to engage as a peer with engineers rather than only track their status – able to follow an architecture discussion, question an estimate, and understand the downstream effect of a design decision Delivery experience across both hardware and software – you have owned the plan for a complex product where mechanical, electrical and software work had to converge, and have shipped software as part of that scope Hands-on experience running scaled agile delivery across a programme of multiple agile teams — including standing up planning increments, managing cross-team dependencies in Jira, and facilitating the events (planning, sync, demo, retrospective) that keep teams aligned. Not just familiarity: you've been the person making the system work. Prior experience as a practising engineer is strongly preferred , ideally in systems, mechanical, electrical or software engineering before moving into programme leadership 5+ years driving delivery of complex engineering programmes, including time in a technically accountable role Strong programme management fundamentals: scoping, dependency mapping, risk management, and execution across multiple teams Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to manage stakeholders across engineering, production and leadership and to push back on unrealistic asks Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience on subsea, maritime, aerospace, automotive or another complex vehicle platform Background in robotics or autonomous systems Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, configuration management, or formal requirements tooling Defence industry experience, including milestone review structures such as SRR, PDR and CDR Experience in a rapidly iterating test environment with close hardware and software integration The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. Before the detail, here's the challenge you'd help us solve. We build the embodied intelligence that moves real vehicles safely, and the ecosystem a billion machines will run on in the future. Very few people in AI can say this. Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that. Here's what this particular role covers. 🛠️ About our Talent Acquisition Teams Wayve's Talent Acquisition team plays a critical role in our success. We hire the people who build and ship our autonomous driving technology. We're a diverse team, based across the UK, US and Japan, and we take a sourcing first, quality focused and data-driven approach, acting as true partners to the business. 🧠 Your day-to-day • Manage end-to-end recruitment for each role - sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing candidates, using Ashby to track your pipeline. • Proactively source and headhunt candidates rather than relying on inbound applications, balancing depth of engagement for quality hires with the volume each search demands. • Run regular check-ins and debriefs with hiring managers to keep every search on track. • Deliver a world-class candidate experience through transparent communication, timely feedback and a seamless interview process. • Track day-to-day metrics and flag pipeline bottlenecks as they come up. 🧩 What you'll be working on: • Owning a portfolio of typically 10-15 concurrent roles spanning software engineering, machine learning, integration and data engineering through to product and program management. • Educating hiring managers and stakeholders on job profiles and search strategy, so every search starts from a sharp, well-defined brief. • Using data to make the right calls on where to focus search effort across your portfolio, and continuously improving how we hire based on what that data tells you. • Advising hiring managers on how AI is changing the shape of technical and product roles, and helping translate that into hiring strategy and candidate profiles. • Helping build the high-performing, diverse technical and product teams that drive Wayve's innovation and business impact as the company scales. 🙌 You should apply if: • You have 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruitment experience, in a fast-scaling tech startup or scale-up environment. • You're a sourcing-driven recruiter at heart. You proactively headhunt and engage candidates rather than waiting for applications to come to you, and you know how to balance sourcing for quality with adding volume into the funnel when the search calls for it. • You're highly data-driven, using pipeline data to diagnose bottlenecks, understand what's working, and course-correct your search when things aren't converting. • You act as a true business partner to hiring managers, helping shape and define roles, not just taking orders. • You're forward-thinking about AI and how it's changing roles and ways of working, and can advise hiring managers on how this shows up in the profiles they're hiring for. • You have hands-on experience using Ashby to manage your recruitment pipeline. • Ideally, you've worked across both agency and in-house recruitment, giving you a well-rounded view of sourcing and candidate management. 🌱 Not ticking every box? That's totally okay! If you're passionate about autonomy and keen to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement. More about Wayve: 🚀 Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency. We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines. Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve's mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility. This gives our teams the connection and energy of working together, alongside the flexibility to do their best work in a way that fits their lives. 🔍 The Interview Process: Our process is clear and respectful of your time: Initial call (45 mins) Competency Interviews (Sourcing; 30 mins) Deep-dive technical interviews (Cross-function; 1.5 hours ) Final interview : mission & values alignment (30 mins). We'll always explain the format and work around your availability. What's in it for you (Location dependant): 💰 Salaries benchmarked against the market annually ✅ Hybrid working, core hours and the chance to work hands on in vehicle workshops and labs 📚 Learning and development budgets with support for training, conferences and growth 🩺 Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, retirement or pension where applicable, access to therapists, wellbeing partnerships, team socials and more A quick, honest note before you apply. Wayve is not a mature, fully-structured place with the playbook already written. Much of how we work is still being written, and if you join, you'll help write it. That suits people who want real ownership more than people who need a settled structure from day one. If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to spend your time on, we'd really like to hear from you. At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law.
