Group Product Management Manager
AffirmRemote US (Fully Remote)6 days ago
ContractFully RemoteMid$209,000 - $209,000 / Year
rrestdentalcompliancecomplianceprototyping+2

At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most. About the Product Team The Product team listens to our customers' needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision. About the Role The ZT1 Labs group is a small, senior team of product and engineering experts working directly with the CEO on the company's most important new bets. This team takes on highly ambiguous, cross-functional problems where the upside is company-defining. We are looking for a Group Product Manager to lead a portfolio of ZT1 initiatives in a hands-on builder role, with direct product ownership and with no direct people management responsibilities. You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for new products and platforms, partnering closely with engineers, analysts, and designers to build and launch, and with revenue and business teams to bring new products to market and scale. You'll work closely with the CEO and executive team to turn high-level ideas into durable, scalable businesses.   What You Will Do Understand Customers & Strategic Context:  Build a deep understanding of Affirm's global network of users, merchants, and partners. Connect customer insights and market trends to long-term company strategy to identify where zero-to-one innovation can drive outsized impact. Track relevant product, technology, and industry shifts and use them to inform product direction.  Set Vision, Strategy, and Roadmap Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to define problem spaces and opportunity areas that matter most for Affirm's future. Craft a clear product vision and strategic narrative for the innovation portfolio, translating that into a focused and prioritized roadmap. Define crisp outcomes and success metrics tied directly to business impact (GMV, profitability, conversion, retention, long-term moat).  Lead Zero-to-One Product Development Drive the full lifecycle for new products and platforms: discovery, validation, MVP definition, launch, and iteration. Own the full UI/UX, using AI tools to build and iterate on working prototypes that make product ideas tangible and testable. Write and refine customer-facing copy across the product experience, from onboarding to in-product guidance. Independently analyze customer behavior, build funnels, and use data to identify opportunities and guide product decisions. Own experimentation end to end, including hypotheses, test design, success metrics, results analysis, and iteration. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to sync ZT1 roadmaps with core product roadmaps, ensuring high product quality, an aligned user experience, and cohesive business results.  Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership Lead a cross-functional group (engineering, design, data, risk, capital, operations, revenue, legal and compliance) through ambiguous and complex work. Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and executive team on new product bets, tradeoffs, and prioritization. Communicate clearly and often - framing decisions, risks, and tradeoffs; writing high-quality docs; and maintaining alignment across teams.  Raise the Bar for Product Craft Establish product patterns, decision frameworks, and execution standards that make zero-to-one work repeatable and scalable. Model strong product thinking, rigor, and judgment for senior peers without managing them directly. Help shape the culture and operating model of the ZT1 function.   What We Look For Experience ~8–10+ years of product management experience with a strong track record shipping and scaling consumer-facing or platform products. Previous ownership of technical software products end-to-end and ability to clearly articulate the business impact. Direct experience leading zero-to-one or highly ambiguous product areas with meaningful outcomes. Experience working closely with engineering, data, design, and other teams without direct authority. Skilled at operating in complex environments where success depends on coordinating cross-functional work across multiple groups.  Founder or early-stage startup experience is a plus. Ability to spot opportunities, build from scratch, test quickly, and take ownership of outcomes. Skills Hands-on fluency with AI tools for prototyping, design, content, and analysis, with the judgment to evaluate and refine the output. Comfortable doing the work directly without dedicated design, analytics, or content partners. Strong communicator capable of securing alignment and decisions from broad groups of senior stakeholders with differing priorities. Adept at influencing engineering teams outside your reporting line - able to guide them toward building what the product needs. High judgment in ambiguous spaces - able to take incomplete or conflicting information and turn it into a clear, actionable plan. Strong commercial instincts - able to contribute to pitches, negotiations, and contract evaluations when product work intersects with business strategy. Behaviors & Traits Bias toward action; cares about unblocking teams and driving meaningful progress quickly. Comfortable moving between strategy and execution - from long-term roadmap thinking to writing specs or digging into edge cases. Strong organizational discipline and interpersonal skills, able to navigate complex dynamics while maintaining momentum. Deep sense of ownership - holds a high bar for quality and ships products on time. Mission-driven and customer-obsessed, motivated to build honest, transparent financial products.   Pay Grade - R Equity Grade - 9 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. About Mixpanel Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what's working, diagnose what's not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at mixpanel.com . About the People and Culture Team The Mixpanel People team exists to help every employee do their best work. We build the structure and support that enables a high-performing organization to move fast without losing what makes us Mixpanel - connection, candor, and the values we hold each other to. A core driver of Mixpanel's success is investing in our people and clearing the way for individuals and teams of every background to reach their full potential. The People function leads that work - executing our people strategy, advising senior leadership, and running HR operations with the rigor a high-performing company demands. Within that team, this role owns the EMEA go-to-market population specifically — three offices (London, Barcelona, and Tel Aviv) growing fast enough that the programs supporting them are still being built, not just maintained. About the Role This is a hybrid role based in London, supporting Mixpanel's EMEA business across our London, Barcelona, and Israel offices, embedded with our Go-To-Market leadership team. You'll report to our Global Head of HR Business Partners and operate as a strategic, trusted advisor to EMEA GTM leadership - shaping programs and policy, not just executing them. This is a multi-country role by design. Your GTM population sits across the UK, Spain, and Israel, so working knowledge of employment law and practice in all three is essential - the right call in one market is often the wrong call in another. Experience supporting teams in APAC is a strong plus as our footprint there grows, but it isn't required. Responsibilities Serve as the primary People Business Partner for Mixpanel's EMEA GTM leadership team, operating as a strategic, trusted advisor on org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy. Proactively coach and partner with GTM people managers and leaders across EMEA to build, lead, and grow high-performing teams. Lead complex, multi-country change initiatives — reorgs, comp cycles, policy rollouts — from strategy through communication, partnering with stakeholders to build buy-in rather than just announcing outcomes. Investigate and resolve employee relations matters across the UK, Spain, and Israel, balancing legal risk, company principle, and individual dignity. Turn workforce data — attrition, engagement, performance — into a business case leaders act on, not just a report they skim. Collaborate with the broader People team on programs that elevate the employee experience company-wide, bringing an EMEA- and GTM-specific point of view to global design. Maintain fluency in HR principles, practices, and regulatory environments across the UK, Spain, and Israel to recommend policy with confidence. Build automation and AI into your own workflows and the team's — using it to move faster on the transactional work so there's more time for the judgment calls that need a person. We're Looking For Someone Who Has 8+ years of experience in HR/People roles, including 5+ years as a dedicated People/HR Business Partner, ideally supporting Sales or go-to-market organizations. Working knowledge of employment law and HR practice in the UK, Spain, & Israel — experience in all 3 regions preferred but required in UK & Spain. Deep functional experience in two or more HR areas: talent management, employee relations, employee experience, compensation, organizational development, or HR policy. A track record of leading through ambiguity and owning multi-country problems end to end. Strong analytical and project management skills, with sound commercial judgment and empathy in equal measure. Fluency with AI and automation tools, and a habit of using them to create efficiency in your own work rather than waiting for someone else to build the solution. Excellent, direct communication — the kind that earns trust even in hard conversations. Bonus Points For Experience supporting APAC teams or navigating employment practice in other European markets. #LI-Hybrid Benefits and Perks Comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental Care Mental Wellness Benefit Generous Vacation Policy & Additional Company Holidays Enhanced Parental Leave Volunteer Time Off Additional US Benefits: Pre-Tax Benefits including 401(K), Wellness Benefit, Holiday Break please note that benefits and perks for contract positions will vary Culture Values Make Bold Bets: We choose courageous action over comfortable progress. Innovate with Insight: We tackle decisions with rigor and judgment - combining data, experience and collective wisdom to drive powerful outcomes. One Team: We collaborate across boundaries to achieve far greater impact than any of us could accomplish alone. Candor with Connection: We build meaningful relationships that enable honest feedback and direct conversations. Champion the Customer: We seek to deeply understand our customers' needs, ensuring their success is our north star. Powerful Simplicity: We find elegant solutions to complex problems, making sophisticated things accessible. Why choose Mixpanel? We're a leader in analytics with over 29,000 customers and $277M invested from prominent investors: like Andreessen-Horowitz, Sequoia, YC, and, most recently, Bain Capital. Mixpanel's pioneering event-based data analytics platform offers a powerful yet simple solution for companies to understand user behaviors and easily track overarching company success metrics. Our accomplished teams continuously facilitate our expansion by tackling the ever-evolving challenges tied to scaling, reliability, design, and service. laboratorydentalinsurancetalent acquisitionresearchbiology

Your Impact at LILA We're building a talent-dense, high-agency AI safety team at Lila that will engage all core teams within the organization (science, model training, lab integration, etc.), to identify and mitigate risks from scientific superintelligence while retaining the core scientific discovery capabilities of the stack. The initial focus of this team will be to build and implement a bespoke safety strategy for Lila, tailored to its specific goals and deployment strategies. This will involve technical safety strategy development, broader ecosystem engagement, safety-focused evaluations, safety systems to mitigate risks, and a research agenda that explores longer-term needs such as oversight of superintelligent scientific systems. You will conduct original computational biology research for AI safety and build an integrated understanding of biological risks. You will investigate how capabilities across large language models, specialized biological models, agents and automated laboratories combine to change what is biologically feasible. Our work spans protein and nucleic-acid design, cellular systems and biological delivery; we welcome other specialisms that bring relevant scientific depth and risk judgment. What You'll Be Building Formulate and pursue original computational biology research questions relevant to safety, developing computational approaches and designing and running studies that generate new evidence about biological capabilities, risks and safeguards. Build and update an integrated picture of risks, examining how capabilities across LLMs, specialized biological models, agents and automated laboratories interact within scientific workflows and change practical constraints. Combine your research with literature, model assessments, experimental findings and expert input to judge biological feasibility, uncertainty and the significance of emerging capabilities for misuse. Identify gaps in expertise, frame questions for external specialists and critically integrate their findings with support from the expert-program team. Translate scientific risk judgments into dual-use policy boundaries, evaluation priorities and mitigation requirements that preserve beneficial biological research. Work with threat modelers, automated-safety researchers, experimental scientists and mitigation engineers to design informative evaluations and red-teaming studies, test assumptions and assess safeguards. What You'll Need to Succeed Deep expertise (a PhD, or comparable experience) in computational biology or a related quantitative biological discipline, with a record of original research from question formulation and computational study design through to defensible findings. Substantive experience assessing biological dual-use risks, with a strong understanding of relevant harmful applications, including pathogen- or toxin-related risks or other consequential biological misuse. Prior experience applying biological expertise to AI safety through analysis informing threat models, evaluation or red-teaming work, or mitigation design. Sound judgment about the relationship between computational predictions, biological function and experimental evidence, including uncertainty and the limits of your expertise. Strong quantitative analysis and scientific programming skills, with the ability to develop computational approaches, run reproducible studies and critically investigate model outputs and biological data. The ability to investigate unfamiliar questions, identify appropriate specialists and communicate defensible conclusions across scientific, engineering and policy teams. Bonus Points For Experience connecting biological modeling or design to experimental validation, including workflows combining LLMs, specialized models, agents or laboratory automation. Experience commissioning specialist research or coordinating external scientific collaborators. Compensation We offer competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity. Your final offer will reflect your background, expertise, and expected impact. U.S. Benefits. Full-time U.S. employees receive a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, and vision coverage; employer-paid life and disability insurance; flexible time off with generous company wide holidays; paid parental leave; an educational assistance program; commuter benefits, including bike share memberships for office based employees; and a company subsidized lunch program. International Benefits. Full-time employees outside the U.S. receive a comprehensive benefits program tailored to their region. USD salary ranges apply only to U.S.-based positions; international salaries are set to local market.
