About Kernel Agents are starting to sell, buy and operate on behalf of companies. But before an agent can close a deal, qualify an account, route a lead or assess risk, it has to answer a basic question: which company is this? Today, that answer is messy, and no one answers it reliably. Business identity lives across CRMs, ERPs and third-party datasets full of duplicates, missing parent companies, stale addresses and incorrect enrichment. The cost shows up across the enterprise: sales teams miss revenue opportunities because they lack the right account context; operations teams take on avoidable exposure because risk signals are fragmented or wrong; and finance teams end up chasing, writing off, or defaulting on bad debt that should have been caught earlier. Humans have worked around that mess for years. Agents cannot. They need a reliable business identity layer they can trust. Kernel is building that layer: the business registry for agents. We issue a permanent KERN ID for every business, plus the context an agent needs to act on it. Ops, data and revenue teams at Gong, Legora, Mistral, Canva and Checkout already use Kernel on their own systems. Agents are next, and there will be far more of them. We have raised $14M from top VCs and operators at Plaid, OpenAI, Slack and others, and we are growing 5x YoY. The Role We have strong product market fit. In 2025 we grew ~5x with world class net dollar retention, mostly from founder-led sales, and now have AEs hitting quota with an emerging playbook. We're looking for another BDR Manager to accelerate our outbound engine as we scale in 2026. You'll own a team of ~10 BDRs and be responsible for the pipeline that fuels our growth. You will report to Dave Bentham (Head of Sales) and work closely with our AEs, marketing, and leadership team to make sure the top of funnel is consistently feeding high-quality pipeline. What You'll Be Doing Set the strategy Work with Dave and the rest of leadership to define ICP, targeting, and outbound messaging. Translate company targets into clear, measurable BDR goals and ensure pipeline expectations are distributed strategically across the team. Continuously iterate on outbound plays, channels, and sequences to improve conversion at every stage. Develop the BDR team to be a talent pool for the rest of the organisation through a culture of constant learning Set your team Manage and develop a team of ~10 BDRs across inbound and outbound. Work alongside our recruiters to grow the team as we scale. Be accountable for team performance. Coach underperformers, promote top performers, and set a high bar across the board. Our BDR team is the talent engine for the entire GTM team. Nurturing the best people and helping them be ready for the next role is crucial. Set the operating cadence Define qualification criteria and handoff processes that set AEs up to close. Build repeatable outbound plays that convert, and partner with marketing where needed. Establish pipeline generation rigor: activity metrics, and predictable output. Run weekly team reviews, call coaching sessions, and continuous improvement loops. What You Bring: 4+ years in business development and/or outbound sales, with at least some time managing a BDR or SDR team. Experience scaling a BDR team (e.g. growing from a handful of reps to 10+) or managing a team of that size. Strong instincts for messaging, targeting, and what makes outbound actually work. Comfort operating in ambiguity: you can build process, playbooks, and territory strategy. Bonus: the deeper your knowledge of RevOps, data, and GTM tools the better. ⚠️ This role may not be for you if you: Need lots of structure or polished specs. You like spending weeks agonizing on a single initiative, or don't want to rapidly iterate and run experiments. Require detailed instructions. ❌ This role is definitely not for you if you: Prefer remote or hybrid work (requires 4+ days in London office) and/or can't travel to clients (US+Europe) Don't enjoy the pace of an early-stage startup. Want to carry your own deals instead of building and coaching a team. What We Offer We will do our best to offer you the ride of a lifetime. It will not be easy, but it will be thrilling. 💰 Salary: £80-120k OTE + equity 🗓️ 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays 🥕 £450 Monthly Office Dinner Allowance ✈️ 2 weeks work-from-anywhere 🍼 Generous parental leave policy 💼 Pension plan 💻 Top-spec equipment and central London office 🎉 Team events and dinners 🚀 Work directly with the founders to scale the systems that power enterprise AI 🏆 High-autonomy, high-trust environment with a small team shipping at pace 🎫 Visas & Relocation We can sponsor visas or offer relocation for exceptional candidates. Build a Safer World. TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure. As a Global Investigator on the triage team, you will be the first line of operational defense in a fast-moving crypto disruption pipeline. You will process inbound complaint data, validate outputs from our artificial-intelligence (AI) investigation platform, and route cases into the investigative pipelines that result in frozen scam proceeds and seized assets. You will hold the disposition pen: your call is what turns a complaint into a freeze, a takedown, a recovery handoff, a legal-process draft, a victim notification, or a close. The impact you will have: Validate and route hundreds of complaint dispositions per week, feeding a live asset-recovery pipeline. Catch the AI errors that matter, such as false positives, merged syndicates, and misclassified scam patterns, before they propagate downstream. Enrich complaint selectors using a stack of more than forty commercial data-source integrations. Own clean shift handoffs so the around-the-clock operation never drops a lead, providing EMEA-hours coverage that keeps the queue moving while colleagues in other regions are offline. What we're looking for: Investigative or analytical experience in the private or public sector. One to three years is fine: we want hungry people who want to grow into deep crypto expertise. Strong AI fluency, meaning comfort using AI tools as a daily co-pilot, plus the judgment to know when they are wrong. Excitement to deepen blockchain analysis skills. Comfort operating in a fast-paced, fluid environment where the project's scope and emphasis may shift quarter to quarter. Strong written and verbal communication. About the Team: The team is built around a mix of seasoned investigators and rising talent. Triage investigators sit alongside experienced crypto tracers and intelligence-trained individual contributors, and the seat is designed to accelerate your development. Team Operating Rhythms: Daily schedule: standard business hours in your local time zone. Collaboration: coordinate with global teammates for handoffs on time-sensitive items, giving the wider operation near follow-the-sun coverage. On-Call Responsibilities: Formal on-call rotation for high-priority events, such as hacks, law-enforcement support, and other time-sensitive matters. Weekly rotation, with occasional weekend coverage as needed. Learn about TRM Speed in this position: React quickly to incoming complaint surges and live takedown events. Continuously learn new patterns in crypto-enabled crime. Application Instructions If you're interested in joining TRM, we encourage you to apply directly. Every application is reviewed by our Talent team. Before applying, review the job description carefully and highlight the experience and impact that best demonstrate the required qualifications. Please also provide thoughtful and accurate answers to the application questions, as these will be used to evaluate your skills and qualifications for the role. If you send your resume directly to someone at TRM, we can't guarantee it will reach the appropriate hiring team. Applying directly is the best way to ensure your application will be considered. Interviewing with TRM Our process is designed to understand how you think, solve problems, and deliver impact, while allowing you to evaluate TRM. Most interview processes include a case study, an AI skills assessment, and a Leadership Principles interview. Recruiter Intro: Qualifications, motivations, and alignment with the role. Hiring Manager: Deep dive into your relevant experience, skills, and impact. First Round: 1–2 interviews focused on the skills most critical to the role. Final Round: Hands-on case study. This is usually a panel-style session where we go deeper into your craft, problem-solving, and alignment with TRM. References: Former colleagues who can provide insight into your work and impact. Offer: Congrats! Your recruiter will present the offer and compensation details. Welcome to TRM: We're excited to build a safer world with you! Your recruiter will share your specific interview plan and preparation guidance along the way. AI Fluency at TRM AI fluency is a baseline expectation at TRM. We believe AI meaningfully changes how top performers operate. We expect every team member to use AI to accelerate and reimagine their craft, not just automate surface tasks. At TRM, AI fluency means you are among the top 10 percent of operators in your function in how you apply AI to: Accelerate repeatable workflows Structure and solve problems Improve output quality Increase speed and leverage You will be evaluated on applied AI fluency during the interview process. Life at TRM We are building a safer world. That promise shows up in how we work every day. TRM moves FAST. We are a high-velocity, high-ownership team that expects clarity, follow-through, and impact. People who thrive here are energized by hard problems, experimentation, and continuous feedback. If something takes months elsewhere, it will ship here in days. Our work sits at the intersection of AI, national security, and fighting crime. The problems are complex, the stakes are real, and the environment evolves quickly. The pace and intensity of the work reflect the importance of the mission. As a result, the way we operate requires a high level of ownership, adaptability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. At TRM, you should expect: Priorities and targets to change quickly Operating with a high degree of ambiguity A high level of personal ownership and accountability Close collaboration across teams and functions Frequent, high-touch communication Creative problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking A pace that rewards urgency, adaptability, and outcomes This environment is energizing for people who enjoy building, solving hard problems, and making progress in situations that are not always fully defined. It also requires thriving in ambiguity, adjusting course as new information emerges, and maintaining focus and positivity in a fast-moving and intense environment. We also recognize that this style of operating is not for everyone. If you are primarily optimizing for predictability or a consistently balanced workload, we encourage you to use the interview process to pressure-test whether this environment is truly the right fit. We want teammates who thrive here, not just survive here. If you are excited by meaningful problems, motivated by ambitious goals, and energized by working alongside mission-driven colleagues, there is a good chance you will find TRM to be an exceptional place to grow and contribute. Leadership Principles We hire and grow against three leadership principles. They're the standards for how we operate, treat each other, and make decisions. Impact-Oriented Trailblazer: We put customers first and move with speed, focus, and adaptability. We treat every plan like an experiment – test, ship, measure, and iterate quickly. Master Craftsperson: We care deeply about our craft. We balance speed with high standards, own outcomes end‑to‑end, and invest in getting better everyday. Inspiring Colleague: We add clarity and energy, not noise. We bring humility, candor, and a one‑team mindset — giving and receiving feedback to make the team stronger. Join our Mission At TRM, we care deeply about our craft. We are looking for individuals who want their work to matter, who experiment with speed and rigor, and who take pride in building a safer world for billions of people. If you're excited by TRM's mission but don't check every box, we encourage you to apply — we hire for slope, judgment, and the will to learn fast. Headquartered in San Francisco, TRM operates as a distributed-first company with hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., London, and Singapore. You are the solution expert who helps customers realize the full value of Rentman. You deliver paid trainings to existing customers that accelerate onboarding, boost account health, and broaden usage across teams. Everything comes from our standardized service catalogue: the offering is standard, the application is tailored to each customer. These services come on top of what every Rentman customer already gets free of charge: support, the support center, and for some a dedicated CSM. When you're not delivering customer trainings, you help the wider team stay useful year-round: you build standardized video trainings based on the most common questions coming out of our support center, and you're available to represent Rentman at customer events or trade shows in German-speaking markets. What you'll do Integrate Rentman knowledge with customer-centricity and commercial acumen to provide tailored training, in both German and English, that enhances customer usage, satisfaction, and professional services revenue. Deliver at least 60% of your time as direct, standardized-but-tailored training to customers, one-on-one or in groups. When you're not training customers, build standardized video trainings/webinars addressing the most common issues raised through our support center. Represent Rentman at customer-facing events or trade shows in German-speaking markets when needed. Always look for opportunities to expand and optimize our professional services and serve more customers in a standardized way. Maintain top-level knowledge of Rentman's functionality and industry challenges to advise customers effectively, and keep this knowledge current. Excel in administration and process efficiency to ensure internal processes (availability, booking, invoicing) run smoothly, and the customer journey is frictionless. Adopt a customer-friendly attitude and deliver high-quality training to ensure an optimal customer experience. What we are looking for Native or very fluent in German, and fluent in English. You're equally comfortable running a training in either language. You've worked inside the AV, production company, or event rental industry and know its workflows from the inside. This is what lets you speak credibly to customers about how they run their business, not just how the software works. You're curious about how customers actually get their work done and where the tool could serve them better. You take ownership of your pipeline and your numbers. You communicate clearly, both with customers and internally. You keep your training administration, scheduling, and invoicing organized so the customer journey stays frictionless. You can join us in the Utrecht office as this is a hybrid role. Nice to haves Experience training or onboarding customers on a SaaS platform. Familiarity with Rentman or similar equipment rental or event management software. Exposure to more than one segment, such as dry hire, staging, broadcast, or corporate AV. An existing network in the German/DACH AV and event industry. What you'll get Competitive salary based on experience, plus 8% holiday allowance A results-based bonus based on company performance (up to a full 13th month's salary) 25 vacation days to recharge Earn an extra day of PTO for each year at Rentman, from your second anniversary up to five years. A 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years to go on an adventure Flexible WFH policy & work from anywhere for 4 weeks a year Pension plan through BrightPensioen An annual training budget to grow your skills Access to OpenUp for mental well-being and personal growth Your choice of a shiny new Windows, Linux, or Mac Stay active with the team: join the Rentman football team, squash and padel, plus a discounted Urban Sports membership An OV Business card if you live more than 10km from the office An ambitious, inclusive, and diverse international team A flexible, energizing workplace with free lunches, office perks (PS5, ping pong, D&D), legendary karaoke nights, and regular team activities An amazing office in the heart of Utrecht, in the historic Drift 17 Our process Here's a breakdown of our recruitment process to give you a clear idea: Introduction Call with the recruiter about the job & Rentman, online (30-45 mins) Past Experience & Culture Interview with the team, online or on-site (60 mins) A take-home assignment (max 120 mins) Final Skills Interview, on-site (60 mins) Apply now!
