Customs AI Integration & Automation Engineer (France)
Full TimeFully RemoteMid
pythonawsazureci/cdsqlllm+4

About Customs Support Group Customs Support Group (CSG) is the European market leader in customs services, operating across 15 countries. CSG is owned by private equity and a fast-growing, dynamic, data-driven company, dedicated to expanding its presence through strong organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Its key priorities include digital transformation, operational excellence and customer experience, all aimed at driving growth and enhancing efficiency. The Role You will take our AI stack and lead its development and customisation for the market. This is a builder and do-er role. You will design, test and implement practical and compliant agentic AI solutions on top of foundation models document understanding, classification support, retrieval over our own procedures and tariff material, and agents that carry multi-step operational work end to end. You are not being asked to train models from scratch. You are being asked to make models that already exist behave reliably enough that operations staff trust them with customs declarations, where being wrong has consequences. Working closely with Operations, Transformation, IT and Group teams, you will turn business needs into scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities • Develop and customise AI solutions for the market, from prototype through to production ownership. • Be curious and prepared to self-learn to use generative-AI to build agents that make a difference to our business • Identify automation and decision-support opportunities across customs and business processes, and size them honestly before building. • Design solutions using generative AI and large language models — retrieval, tool calling, structured extraction from customs documentation, and agentic workflows where they genuinely fit. • Own the evaluation. Define how we know a solution is working before it ships, and how we know a change has not made it worse. This is treated as core to the role, not an afterthought. • Manage pilots and implementation, and set the criteria for killing a pilot as clearly as the criteria for scaling it. • Monitor performance, inference cost, latency and business impact. • Collaborate with local teams, Group functions and technology partners. • Contribute to privacy, security and AI governance compliance, working with Group Legal and IT Security. You should understand how the EU AI Act applies to what you build, and be able to produce the documentation that goes with it. . Requirements Essential • 1-2 years AI engineering, software engineering or intelligent automation, including LLM or AI features that real users depended on. • Strong Python and SQL, with production code ownership. Not familiarity. • Demonstrable experience integrating large language models into production systems — prompt and context design, retrieval-augmented generation, structured output, and handling failure gracefully. • Practical experience with at least one major cloud AI platform (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex). • Solid full stack backend engineering fundamentals — APIs, data pipelines, testing, CI/CD. Most of this job is • Strong communication skills — you will spend real time with operations staff who are experts in customs and not in AI. • Professional fluency in English. Desirable • Evaluation engineering: building eval harnesses and regression suites for non-deterministic systems, LLM-as-judge approaches, and human-in-the-loop review design. This is the single strongest signal we look for and we will weight it heavily. • Context engineering: designing and version-controlling what a model sees — retrieval strategy, memory, tool descriptions, and policy layers that constrain what an agent is allowed to do. • Agent orchestration frameworks and standards (LangGraph, MCP, Temporal or equivalent), and experience with long-running or multi-step agent workflows. • Observability and cost control for inference at volume. What success looks like in your first year • By month three: You understand our customs processes well enough to challenge what we ask for, and you have shipped one small, useful thing. • By month six: At least one AI solution is live, measured against a baseline, and demonstrably better than what it replaced. • By month twelve: There is a working evaluation process others can use, a ranked pipeline of next opportunities, and at least two colleagues outside IT operating what you have built without you in the room. What We Offer • A key role in shaping AI capabilities. • The opportunity to build solutions with direct business impact, on real operational volume rather than pilots that never leave the lab. • An international and fast-evolving environment, with peers in other Customs Support Group markets working on the same problems. • Professional growth opportunities, including a budget for conferences, certification and model/compute costs for your own experiments. • Permanent role. Hybrid working. How to apply Send us your CV and a short note a few paragraphs is plenty describing one system you have put in front of real users. We are most interested in what went wrong with it and what you did about that. Find more English Speaking Jobs in France on Arbeitnow

Senior Software Engineer, Foundry
Full TimeOn-siteSenior£55,000 - £55,000 / Year
pythontypescriptmachine learningllmrestinsurance+3

At a glance Location: Cambridge In-office expectation: Once every two weeks Employment type: Permanent Salary: £55,000-£80,000 This role will be a mid or senior level engineer dependant on experience Why this role exists Redgate's Foundry is our innovation incubator, the team scanning the horizon for Redgate's next big opportunity. This role exists because that kind of work needs engineers who are genuinely excited by discovery: people who can form a hypothesis, test it fast, and make a clear-eyed call on whether to push forward or change course. Most ideas won't become products. That's by design. Each experiment sharpens our thinking and improves the odds of finding the one that will. If you're motivated by that kind of challenge, where the destination isn't fixed and the work is never the same twice, this is the role for you. About Redgate Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organisations depend on, a space that's only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates. AI at Redgate By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert plus agent company: domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can't match. AI handles the heavy lifting, and our people control the judgement. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one. Why join our engineering team? You'll work in a team that cares about collaboration, craft and quality, not just in how we build, but in choosing what to build, finding the shortest path to the questions that matter most. There's real scope to grow your skills and impact, with clear pathways and support. We value sustainable delivery, good ways of working and time to improve how we build. About the role The Foundry operates differently to the rest of Redgate's product teams. You won't be handed a roadmap. Instead, you'll work across the full arc of innovation — from horizon-scanning and ideation through to early-stage research, rapid prototyping, and working directly with customers to validate what you're building. You'll be part of a small cross-functional team (a Tech Lead plus four to six Software and Machine Learning Engineers), and you'll regularly run projects in parallel: contributing to ongoing experiments while also exploring entirely new directions. The tech stack is deliberately varied, the right tool for the job, not a fixed list, spanning C#, TypeScript, Python, and more across desktop, web, API, database, and ML development. What makes this role different: You'll work on problems where there is no established answer and you'll have the autonomy to explore them seriously. Your work sits at the intersection of software engineering, customer insight, and product thinking; it's rare to find all three in one role. You'll use and help shape how Redgate adopts agentic coding and AI development tools, not as an afterthought, but as a core part of how the team works. The scope is genuinely broad: a typical day could see you balancing technical prototypes, customer interviews, and competitor teardowns. What makes you a great fit Proven experience using AI coding tools. You've used them extensively, understand their limitations, and have developed ways to work around them productively and safely. Strong software design and coding skills across modern languages, particularly C#, TypeScript, or Python, enough to guide and review AI-generated code with confidence. Hands-on experience building agentic systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, Microsoft Agentic Framework, or MCP, with a solid understanding of LLM capabilities and risks. Experience designing and running experiments to validate ideas quickly, using technical prototypes, customer feedback, and lean startup principles to test assumptions and make clear decisions. Comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders: running interviews, demos, and concierge-style validation processes, and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A product mindset; you think in terms of user value, outcomes, and market fit, not just features or technical delivery. What we offer · Salary range: £55,000-£80,000 · Hybrid working: home and Cambridge office · Monthly wellbeing allowance and generous paid time off · Genuine investment in learning, development, and career progression · Private health insurance See our full list of benefits here - Careers At Redgate - Benefits What happens next Your application will be reviewed by a person, we don't use AI or automated tools to assess applications. Every profile is read by one of our Talent Partners. You'll hear back within a few days, whether it's a next step or a no, we aim to respond promptly so you're not left wondering. Our interview process is straightforward and consistent, you'll find more detail on our typical hiring process below, so you know what's coming and why. How to apply No cover letter needed. Just send your CV that includes: • Education: your course and year of graduation • Work experience: anything relevant, if you have it. It's fine if you don't. • Something you're proud of: something you've built, fixed or figured out. It could be a uni project, a side project, a game mod, a Discord bot or a tricky bug. It all counts. • What you want from this: what you hope to learn or get out of the internship What happens next? Your application will be reviewed by a person. About SugarAI UK Limited SugarAI is redefining CRM for the age of AI. We're delivering on the original promise of CRM—turning fragmented customer and revenue signals into clear, prioritized action. Instead of more dashboards or surface-level insights, we help teams focus on what matters most and know exactly what to do next. More than two decades after our founding, we're entering a new chapter with clarity and momentum—building intelligent, intuitive solutions that work within the flow of how teams actually sell and serve. We're focused on solving complex, real-world challenges where relationships, context, and precision make all the difference. Our global team is united by a shared commitment to impact, ownership, and continuous growth. We create an environment where thoughtful ideas move quickly, where people are trusted to lead, and where flexibility supports how great work gets done. If you're excited to help shape what's next in AI-driven CRM—and build technology that drives real outcomes—we'd love to meet you. Impact You Will Make in the Role (Key Responsibilities): Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers through structured 1:1s, career development planning, performance feedback, and clearly set expectations, owning the full people management cycle including goal-setting, reviews, promotions, and compensation conversations. Rebuild team culture from the ground up, establishing psychological safety, accountability, and a genuine appetite for continuous improvement, identifying root causes of underperformance rather than addressing symptoms. Own delivery by introducing and maintaining effective operating rhythms, removing blockers systematically, and bringing rigour to planning and sprint health using metrics including velocity, cycle time, throughput, and defect rates. Be the technical conscience of the team, setting and enforcing engineering standards across code quality, testing, reliability, and maintainability, reducing technical debt strategically, and providing hands-on technical guidance. Lead the adoption of AI-first ways of working, introducing generative AI tooling into the engineering workflow and helping engineers understand and embrace their role as orchestrators in a spec-driven development environment. Develop multidisciplinary engineers by actively breaking down silos between front end, back end, data, and QA, building development plans that broaden capability and reduce single points of failure across the team. Partner with product and wider stakeholders to align engineering delivery with business priorities, communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly and ensuring engineering has a credible voice in strategic conversations. What You Will Bring (Qualifications/Experience): 5+ years of direct engineering management experience with a track record of developing individuals, managing performance, hiring talent, and building high-functioning teams. Proven experience leading a team through a period of significant change, whether through a merger and acquisition, organisational restructure, or a turnaround from low morale and underperformance. Strong technical credibility with a background in software development, sufficient to guide architectural decisions, set engineering standards, and earn the genuine respect of the engineers you manage. A clear and well-formed point of view on the future of software engineering, including AI-first development, spec-driven workflows, and the evolving role of the engineer. Fluency in engineering metrics and delivery operations, with a clear understanding of the relationship between capacity, velocity, and throughput and the ability to use data to drive decisions. Strong communication across audiences, able to hold a room of engineers and a room of senior stakeholders with equal confidence, translating between technical complexity and business context. Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Experience in post-merger or post-acquisition engineering environments where you have rebuilt culture and operating practice from a difficult starting point. A demonstrated track record of moving teams from siloed, specialist working towards cross-functional, multidisciplinary delivery. Measurable outcomes in team health, delivery predictability, or engineering effectiveness, with the data to support them. Experience introducing generative AI tooling into an engineering team and navigating the human side of that change alongside the technical implementation. We understand that no candidate is perfectly qualified for any job. Experience comes in different forms; many skills are transferable; and passion goes a long way. Even more important than your resume is a clear demonstration of dedication, impact, and the ability to thrive in a fluid and collaborative environment. We want you to learn new things in this role, and we encourage you to apply if your experience is close to what we're looking for. We also know that diversity of background and thought makes for better problem solving and more creative thinking, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team. We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support our recruiting process, including scheduling, candidate search, prioritization. AI does not make hiring decisions or automatically reject candidates; those decisions are made by people at SugarAI. Benefits and Perks: Beyond a stellar work environment, friendly people, and inspiring work, we have some sweet benefits and perks: · UK Pension Scheme · Private medical and dental insurance · Health &Wellness Reimbursement Program · Unpaid sabbatical leave · Educational Resources - Career & Personal Development Program · Various discount programs (i.e. travel, virtual exercises classes, etc.) · We are a merit-based company with many opportunities to learn, excel and grow your career! #LI-Hybrid Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

Inventory Specialist
Ai BioLondon, Germany7 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid
restlaboratorypurchasinglogisticserpbiology

The opportunity We're a stealth startup in AI and bio, building infrastructure for data generation. The team is small and elite, the problems are hard, and the foundations are being laid right now. You'd help write them from the first line, with ownership and a direct line to the founders. You'll help make sure laboratory teams have the consumables they need, when they need them. You'll have a say in the software they use to manage stock, and learn to use AI to make everyday purchasing and inventory work easier. About us AI for biology has a data problem. The data that matters most doesn't exist yet, so we're building the infrastructure to produce it, with quality and traceability built in from day one. We're in stealth and heads-down on execution. We'll share more about what we're building once you've spoken with the team. The role This is a hands-on, early-career role within our Infrastructure team. You'll manage day-to-day consumables purchasing, receive deliveries and keep stock records accurate, with training and guidance from your manager and laboratory colleagues. As you learn the work, you'll organise your day independently and follow issues through to resolution. You'll work with laboratory teams to understand demand, place orders within agreed budgets and approvals, and chase delays before they disrupt work. You'll maintain supplier prices and lead times, flag supply risks and get laboratory approval for any proposed substitutions. At goods receipt, you'll check orders against deliveries, including quantities, condition and relevant batch, expiry and temperature requirements. You'll record receipts promptly, route goods to the right storage and resolve discrepancies. You'll help physically set up storage areas, organise stock into defined bin locations and label and barcode those locations so they match the inventory records. You'll record stock movements and investigate differences found during stock counts. With guidance, you'll propose reorder points and buffer stock using consumption, lead times and planned activity. You'll track expiry dates, prioritise the earliest-expiring stock where appropriate and maintain consistent item codes, units and pack conversions. You'll document procedures, follow safety and quality requirements, and segregate items awaiting review. Regular updates on supply risks and stock accuracy, together with reliable receipt records, will help colleagues in the lab and finance. You'll work directly with software engineers to shape the inventory tools you use every day. You'll bring ideas from the lab, explain what needs to work differently and test new features against real tasks. Your input will help decide what gets improved, with your manager and the software team leading priorities, design and development. You'll also learn to use AI-assisted workflows for tasks such as reviewing inventory data and preparing routine updates, then help refine those workflows as you find better ways to work. Training and support will be part of the role. Your first 90 days FIRST 30 DAYS ◆ Learn the consumables, storage requirements and approval processes with laboratory colleagues. Take on routine ordering and goods receipt with support. ◆ Check stock records against physical inventory and map the journey from purchase request to use. Agree a practical storage layout and bin-location scheme with laboratory colleagues, taking account of access and storage requirements. DAYS 30 TO 60 ◆ Run routine ordering, receipts and stock counts independently within agreed processes. Keep colleagues informed of shortages, overdue orders and expiring stock. ◆ Physically set up and organise the agreed storage areas, label and barcode bin locations, and link them to inventory records. Propose replenishment settings with your manager and laboratory colleagues, and document how stock is stored and moved. Turn recurring problems into examples for the software team. DAYS 60 TO 90 ◆ Check that colleagues can find, receive and return stock using the labelled and barcoded locations. Resolve gaps in the layout or records, and refine replenishment to reduce avoidable shortages and waste. ◆ Test available inventory features against everyday tasks and help colleagues adopt improvements. With support, try an AI-assisted workflow for a routine task, check its outputs and suggest how to improve it. Who you are You're proactive, organised and attentive to detail, and you enjoy practical work where accurate records have visible consequences. When a problem arises, you flag it promptly and investigate practical solutions while keeping colleagues informed. You act within agreed processes, bring options when a decision needs support and follow the issue through to resolution. Your experience may come from inventory, purchasing, logistics or laboratory operations, including an apprenticeship or placement. A scientific degree and coding experience are not required. We welcome transferable experience with physical stock and time-sensitive supplies. You're willing to help beyond a fixed task list as the team grows, while using judgement about when to escalate. Nobody arrives with every part of this role. If you are strong in most of it and quick to learn the rest, we want to hear from you. MUST HAVE ◆ Practical experience of inventory, purchasing, goods receipt, logistics or laboratory operations. ◆ Careful record-keeping and an organised approach to checking deliveries, prioritising work and following actions through. ◆ Confidence with digital tools and a willingness to learn to use AI, check its outputs and improve recurring workflows over time. Prior AI expertise is not required. ◆ Clear communication with suppliers and colleagues, including explaining an operational problem to a software developer. NICE TO HAVE ◆ Experience with laboratory consumables or expiry-sensitive and temperature-controlled stock. ◆ Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems, barcode-based stock control, or testing new software. Why this is unusual Alongside keeping supplies moving, you'll help shape the software and AI-assisted workflows that make the job easier. You'll work with engineers to turn a stock discrepancy or awkward receiving step into a better tool, then see whether it works in practice. You'll build experience in improving systems as well as running the day-to-day operation. You'll have support as you learn, and room to contribute ideas from the start. Some people find that mix energising; others prefer a more settled routine. It is worth knowing which suits you. How we work This role is primarily on-site in King's Cross, London, typically four to five days a week, because deliveries and physical inventory need someone there. The wider team is distributed, so we write things down and keep colleagues informed. We start the week with an all-hands and share written updates. We give feedback directly and expect good ideas to be challenged on their merits, whoever proposes them. UK benefits include 30 days of annual leave plus public holidays, a pension with a 10% employer contribution after a three-month deferment, and Bupa private health cover. The team you will join You'll join the Infrastructure team and work closely with laboratory colleagues, software engineers and finance. Your manager will help set priorities and support decisions on inventory planning and wider process changes. You'll bring the day-to-day operational view into those discussions. Our process We start with a short screening conversation, followed by a behavioural interview. We'll ask for examples of how you've spotted a problem, kept others informed and taken practical steps to solve it, including when you sought support. Next comes a role-specific work sample and a discussion of how you approached it, followed by references. We'll explain the assessment format in advance, and you'll meet us in person before any offer. If the role interests you, apply through the person who introduced you or the recruiter who shared it. If you're unsure whether you meet every requirement, we still want to hear from you. We are an equal opportunity employer. We make hiring decisions on merit, scope-fit, and the strength of the working relationship we expect to build with each hire. Applications welcome from candidates of any background. We take care of our people and their families with comprehensive benefits, competitive compensation, flexible spending options, and recognition programs, because building category-defining technology starts with a healthy, supported team. Come join us as we shape the future of multimodal generative artificial intelligence! Role summary How much numerical precision does an LLM need, and where in the model architecture does it matter most? When does quantization improve runtime, and what does it cost in model quality? We're looking for a motivated working student to help turn these questions into experiments and experiments into maintainable code. You'll explore optimization methods and build reusable evaluation tooling. You'll work closely with our quantization, compiler, and runtime engineers, and your findings will directly influence how we optimize models for Tensordyne hardware. What you will do Model quality evaluation: Measure how low-precision computation affects performance on coding and reasoning benchmarks. Diagnose where quantization has the greatest impact. Quantization research: Implement and compare post-training quantization methods to improve inference efficiency while preserving task accuracy. Build reproducible tooling: Automate evaluations, track configurations and results, and make experiments accessible to engineers and AI agents. Measure runtime performance: Characterize latency, throughput, and memory usage to understand bottlenecks under different deployment scenarios. A first project could involve exploring the quality–performance Pareto frontier of a Qwen or LlaMa model. You'll experiment with 16-bit, 8-bit, and 4-bit quantization configurations to find the best runtime-quality tradeoff. Core qualifications Current enrollment in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related master's degree program. Strong Python and PyTorch skills, including the ability to understand and modify model implementations. Effective use of AI coding tools and critical review of their output. Clear communication and the ability to present experimental findings and technical tradeoffs to the team. Strong pluses: experience with quantization, LLM evaluation, performance profiling, or inference optimization. This role is for you if you thrive on responsibility, learn quickly, and are naturally proactive . What we offer Join a deep-tech team building the next generation of AI inference systems. Put your university knowledge into practice with leading open-source LLMs, deepen your understanding of quantization and inference optimization, and build skills in experimental design, software engineering, and AI coding tools. You'll own a focused project, receive close mentorship from experienced engineers, and have room to explore ideas that shape our optimization methods. Tensordyne's culture was built on the following values Put people first. We only succeed when our people succeed. Ethics and integrity always. Be open, honest, and respectful of everyone. Think Big. Be ambitious and have audacious goals. Aim for excellence. Quality and excellence count in everything we do. Own it and get it done. Results matter! Make each person better together than they would be as an individual. Embrace each other's differences, and embrace that there will be differences. Tensordyne is an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse teams are better equipped to solve complex problems and build exceptional technology. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, gender identity or expression, marital status, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, race, religion, pregnancy, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. Product Engineer
BsteuernBerlin, Germany7 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythontypescriptreactrest

KI-Agenten in echte Arbeitsabläufe integrieren. Wachstum: Jeden Monat kommen viele neue Mandant dazu. Was du entwickelst, erreicht schnell immer mehr Menschen. Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
