Learn more at get-carrot.com . About Carrot Carrot is the leading global fertility and family-building platform providing care for everyone, everywhere. Trusted by more than a thousand multinational employers, health plans, and health systems, Carrot's comprehensive clinical program delivers industry-leading cost savings for employers and award-winning experiences for millions of people worldwide. From maternity through menopause and pre-pregnancy through parenting, Carrot is dedicated to expanding access and improving outcomes. Carrot empowers members with compassionate, personalized, and inclusive support. The Opportunity We're looking for a Lead Product Designer to shape the end-to-end experience for members. You'll own design from concept through execution for our mobile app priorities. You'll report to our Director of Product and be the design lead for this team, with the opportunity to pair with product designers working on other parts of the Carrot experience. The work spans two levels. You'll go deep on individual mobile-first experiences, including Sprints, our program for members working on their metabolic health alongside fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care. You'll also design how distinct pieces of the member experience fit together into one seamless mobile experience. What You'll Own In this role, you will: Own mobile design end to end — concept through high-fidelity execution on iOS and Android. Bring the pieces together — design the information architecture and navigation that make distinct parts of the member experience feel like one product. Design for return, not just first use — drive adoption and retention through experiences that earn a member's attention daily, weekly, and monthly. Make complexity feel simple — turn large, dynamic, nuanced information into something members trust at a glance. Partner closely with our Content Designer so visual and written communication land as one experience. Ground decisions in evidence — run qualitative and quantitative research, and use it to back what we build. Grow our design system with accessibility, consistency, and scalability in mind. What Success Looks Like In your first 12–18 months, you will have: Shipped design work that measurably moved member adoption and engagement, with metrics you can point to. Conducted user research and testing and developed a sharp sense of updates to best drive member engagement and business goals. Contributed to our design system- letting teams ship faster and more consistently. About You You likely have: A Bachelor's Degree 10+ years in product/UX design, with a portfolio of mobile-first work and end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step journeys Experience building and working on consumer apps focused on daily and weekly active usage A track record designing for engagement and retention — habit formation, behavior change, wellness, or similar AI as a core part of your design practice, plus experience designing AI-powered product experiences Systems thinking to create experiences that feel clean and simple for users Strong visual and interaction craft, hands-on prototyping, and fluency with building products people love to use Experience leading user research or usability testing Nice to Have ⭐ While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring: Experience with behavior change frameworks or gamification Experience helping teammates develop as designers Empathy and sensitivity to the challenges of healthcare journeys Why This Role Matters Fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care unfold over years, not appointments. Much of what shapes a member's outcome happens between clinical visits. Nobody returns to an app out of obligation — they return because it's useful, respects their time, and doesn't make them feel judged. Design is the difference. Engagement here isn't a vanity metric; it's how the product does anything at all for a member's health. You will shape that experience, with the opportunity to put your work in front of millions of people. Interview Process We believe in a thoughtful and transparent interview process designed to create alignment for both candidates and our team. For this role, candidates can expect: Recruiter Screen — 30 minutes Hiring Manager Interview — 30 minutes Portfolio Interview — 1 hour Final Round Interviews — 2 hours Throughout the process, we will share additional context about the team, business priorities, customer landscape, and what success looks like in this role. Senior Database Reliability Engineer I - Germany/Austria/UK
InternshipFully RemoteSenior
pythongorustrubyelixirbash+26

Headquarters: Remote Storyblok is a headless CMS that enables marketers and developers to create with joy and publish with confidence. It empowers you to deliver structured and consistent content everywhere: websites, apps, AI search, and beyond. Legendary brands like Virgin Media O2, Oatly, and TomTom use Storyblok to make a bigger, faster market impact. WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU You will be joining a growing company where you can contribute to many "firsts". Plus these benefits: Monthly remote work stipend (home internet costs, electricity). Home office equipment package right at the start (laptop, keyboard, monitor…) Home office equipment upgrade (furniture, ear plugs …) or membership to a local co-working space after your onboarding Sick leave benefit, parental leave and 25 days of annual leave plus your local national holidays Personal development fund for courses, books, conferences, and material The annual international team-building trip, quarterly and monthly online get-togethers As a fully remote company, with work-life balance at its core, you'll enjoy flexible schedules An international team that loves to have fun at work and works hard together to accomplish shared goals JOB SUMMARY You will own the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of the PostgreSQL data platform behind our flagship CMS — primarily Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL — along with the infrastructure and automation around it. This is a reliability engineering role, not a classic administration one. Aurora takes care of patching, backups, failover, and storage growth; you own what it does not — query and index strategy, plan regressions across major version upgrades, vacuum and bloat, connection management, zero-downtime schema change, logical replication, and capacity and cost modeling. Alongside this, you work as a full member of the Infrastructure team on Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and security tooling, and you share the on-call rotation. You will work in a shared-ownership model: backend teams own their queries and schemas, and you own the platform, guardrails, tooling, and knowledge-sharing that make their decisions safe. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, DevOps engineers, Security, product owners, and the Data team. We measure success by the reliability and predictable performance of the data platform, the quality of your incident response, and how well other engineering teams are equipped to make sound database decisions without you in the room. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Database platform (approx. 60%) Own the reliability, performance, and scalability of our PostgreSQL platform (primarily Amazon Aurora): query and index strategy, execution plans, configuration tuning, and capacity planning, with particular attention to hot multi-tenant read paths. Lead zero-downtime version upgrades and schema migrations at scale, including diagnosing and preventing plan regressions across Aurora major versions. Own the operational health of the platform: vacuum strategy and bloat, long-running transactions and wraparound risk, connection management and pooling (including RDS Proxy), lock contention, and logical replication and slot hygiene. Review schema changes and DDL from backend teams for lock behavior, migration safety, and performance impact, and build the guardrails and tooling that make safe changes to the default path. Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery end-to-end, including rehearsed restore drills and the access, encryption, and auditing controls our compliance obligations require. Model database capacity and cost (I/O-Optimized vs. Standard, Serverless v2 sizing, read replica strategy) and drive cost-efficiency without compromising reliability. Infrastructure and automation (approx. 40%) Deliver infrastructure and automation as a full member of the Infrastructure team, using Terraform and cloud-native tooling on AWS, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines including the safe automated handling of database changes. Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for database and platform systems (e.g. pg_stat_statements, Prometheus exporters, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) so problems surface before customers feel them. Use cloud security and vulnerability management tooling (such as Aikido) to triage findings and keep the team's services compliant. Team, incidents, and collaboration Take part in the on-call rotation, incident response, and postmortems, driving root cause analysis and remediation that prevents recurrence. Raise the database competence of the wider engineering organization through design reviews, documentation and runbooks, and mentoring — so this expertise is not concentrated in one person. Demonstrate AI literacy, leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE; QUALIFICATIONS Required — PostgreSQL depth 7+ years in database engineering, database reliability, infrastructure, or SRE roles, including significant hands-on ownership of production PostgreSQL. Deep PostgreSQL expertise: internals and MVCC, reading and acting on EXPLAIN (ANALYZE, BUFFERS), indexing strategy, vacuum behavior, locking, connection pooling, and configuration tuning. Strong experience with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS-managed database services. Proven track record of zero-downtime upgrades and complex schema migrations on large, busy tables. Hands-on experience with physical and logical replication, partitioning, read scaling, and designing and validating backup and disaster-recovery strategies. Required — Infrastructure and ways of working Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, primarily Terraform, on AWS. Strong Linux fundamentals plus fluency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go) for automation and tooling. Experience with monitoring and observability tooling, and a solid grasp of security practices (IAM, secrets management, network segmentation). Experience with change, incident, and problem management in production, and with Git and modern CI/CD workflows applied to database changes. Strong written and verbal communication in a remote-first organization, including the ability to explain database trade-offs to backend engineers and non-specialists. Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Nice to have Familiarity with backend frameworks that interact with PostgreSQL (Ruby on Rails preferred; Python, Rust, or Elixir valued). Experience with caching layers (Redis, Memcached) and their interaction with database load. Exposure to analytics pipelines and warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, ClickHouse) or CDC-based data flows. Experience with container platforms (ECS, EKS, Fargate), NoSQL or vector databases, or AWS certification (Database – Specialty, DevOps Engineer – Professional). MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Remote (home) work opportunity or funded by Storyblok co-working space GENERAL TERMS Storyblok has a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Director of Security Engineering
AbnormalRemote (Fully Remote)27 days ago
Full TimeFully RemoteDirector$214,200 - $308,000 / Year
awskubernetesrestarchitecturecompliancecompliance+2

Headquarters: Remote - USA About the Role Abnormal AI protects organizations from the most sophisticated email and collaboration attacks using behavioral AI. Security is not a bolt-on at Abnormal; it is core to the product we sell and the trust our customers place in us. Our security organization operates a commercial cloud environment and a separate FedRAMP-authorized environment, and we are pursuing increasingly rigorous federal authorizations as we grow. We are hiring a Director of Security reporting to the CISO and leading the Security Engineering organization. You will build and scale high-performing security teams, own major security programs end to end, and operate autonomously in the CISO's absence, including representing security to executive leadership, customers, and auditors. This is a role for a deeply technical leader with a software engineering background who has grown into people leadership. You have built security teams from the ground up, you write and review code and architecture when it matters, and you believe the best security organizations earn their influence through partnership rather than policy enforcement. Our Security Philosophy We run security the way the best engineering-led companies do: Security reduces toil. Our job is to make the rest of the company faster and safer at the same time. If a control adds friction without reducing risk, it is a defect. Paved paths, safe by default. We invest in guardrails, golden paths, and secure-by-default infrastructure so the easy choice is the secure choice. We prefer preventing classes of problems over chasing individual findings. Partnership over gatekeeping. Security succeeds only through deep collaboration with engineering, IT, and business teams. We embed with builders, we ship alongside them, and we take on their constraints as our own. Engineering-grade rigor. We treat security problems as engineering problems: automated, measurable, code-reviewed, and continuously improved. If the security cultures that value freedom and responsibility, context over control, and guardrails over gates resonate with you, you will feel at home here. What You Will Do Serve as deputy to the CISO: act with full authority in the CISO's absence and represent the security organization to executives, customers, and regulators. Lead, coach, and grow managers and senior engineers across Security Engineering and Security Operations. Own the security engineering roadmap: cloud security architecture (AWS-first), detection and response, identity, vulnerability management, and secure-by-default platform investments. Drive cross-functional programs with Engineering, IT, and Product, from AI security governance to data perimeter controls to federal compliance initiatives. Set and defend engineering standards for the security organization: everything as code, automated where possible, measured against outcomes rather than activity. Build hiring pipelines and raise the bar on every hire; own performance management, promotion cases, and succession planning within your teams. Translate technical risk into business terms for the executive team and board, and translate business priorities into a coherent security strategy. Must Haves 10+ years in security or software engineering, including 4+ years managing security teams, ideally including managers of managers or equivalent scope. A genuine software engineering background: you have shipped production software, and you evaluate security solutions the way an engineer would. A proven record of building and scaling high-performing security teams, with alumni who would work for you again. Deep technical fluency in cloud-native environments: AWS organizations and multi-account governance, Kubernetes, identity and access, detection engineering, and modern SDLC security. Demonstrated cross-functional leadership: you have earned the trust of engineering leaders and shipped security outcomes through their teams, not around them. Strong written communication: you produce decision-ready documents and can drive alignment asynchronously. Executive presence: comfortable presenting to C-level leadership, customers, and auditors without preparation from the CISO. Strong Signals You are currently a security engineering manager or senior manager at a fintech, high-growth startup, or forward-leaning enterprise, and you are ready for broader scope. You have built paved-path or secure-by-default platforms that measurably reduced both risk and developer friction. Experience with compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001) without letting compliance define the security program. Experience securing AI/ML systems or governing AI adoption at scale. You have operated in environments where security headcount was scarce and automation was the only way to scale. Why This Role You will inherit strong teams, an executive staff that treats security as a first-class function, and a CISO who wants a true partner rather than a lieutenant. The scope is broad, the autonomy is real, and the ceiling on this role is defined by what you take on. #LI-ML1 Actual compensation will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Base salary range: $214,200 — $308,000 USD A note on AI in our process: Abnormal AI uses AI-assisted tools to help our recruiting team prepare for candidate interviews. About IonQ: IonQ, Inc . [NYSE: IONQ] is the world's leading quantum platform and merchant supplier - delivering integrated quantum solutions across computing, networking, sensing, and security. IonQ's newest generation of quantum computers, the IonQ Tempo, is the latest in a line of cutting-edge systems that have been helping customers and partners including Amazon Web Services, and AstraZeneca achieve 20x performance results and accelerate innovation in drug discovery, materials science, financial modeling, logistics, cybersecurity, and defense. In 2025, the company achieved 99.99% two-qubit gate fidelity, setting a world record in quantum computing performance . Headquartered in College Park, Maryland, IonQ has operations in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Washington, Italy, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Our quantum computing services are available through all major cloud providers, while we also meet the needs of networking and sensing customers across land, sea, air, and space. IonQ is making quantum platforms more accessible and impactful than ever before. Role: System Software builds the software that runs IonQ's quantum computers: the runtime, orchestration, quantum tools, controllers and transport software that sit between the Quantum Operating System and the hardware. It is where a next-generation system either comes together or doesn't. We're hiring a Staff Technical Programme Manager to lead delivery across this stack. You'll report to the Group Program Manager, Software in our Programme Management Office and be matrixed to the VP, Software for day-to-day work. You'll work across five engineering teams (runtime, orchestration, quantum tools, controllers and transport) and the interfaces between them and their cross-functional stakeholders, serving several next-generation system programmes at once, with hardware being co-developed alongside the software and teams in both Oxford and the US. Those programmes draw on the same engineers, so the central problem of this role is making sure that capacity is spent by decision, not by default. We run a centralised PMO model. This role will not own engineering headcount or define product but it will make the programme around those things run. It carries real ownership of delivery: the plan, the trade-offs put in front of decision-makers, and the honesty of the status. In this role you will interface with everyone from technical software engineers to a wide range of the most senior stakeholders. You will also coordinate with your fellow programme managers, across Science, Infrastructure and broader Software teams, making sure all plans are shared and coordinated, rather than operating in silos. Turning a research-grade quantum system into a dependable product is a problem nobody has finished solving, and the delivery standard you'll work within is being built now. If writing the first version of the plan sounds like the interesting part, we should talk. Responsibilities: In this role you will own the end-to-end delivery of the Systems Software roadmap across several concurrent programmes including managing dependencies between hardware, science and systems integration teams. You will partner closely with engineering leadership, the engineering teams run the day to day planning and boards, you will provide the direction that creates incremental milestones that ship. You will identify risks and blockers early and work with the teams to resolve them. You will also run intake and triage, so requests reach the right team with the right priority and engineers can stay focused on planned work. Key responsibilities include: Make contention visible: when two programmes need the same team in the same quarter, bring it to the right decision-maker with the options and a recommendation before it becomes a slip. Keep the systems of record honest. Requirements, plans, schedules and Jira drift apart; you'll close the gap and automate the checking. Make invisible work visible: on-call load, sustaining work and technical debt tracked as rigorously as feature delivery. Surface risks early, before you have a full solution or complete alignment. We'd rather hear it messy and on time. Run intake and triage so requests reach the right team, with priority set by the people who own it, and engineers stay on planned work. Work hand in hand with the Quantum Systems Infrastructure and Science TPMs in Oxford and the Software TPMs in the US: shared processes where teams meet, and no duplicated ceremonies, boards or reports. Write concise, plain-English status on progress, risks and decisions for programme directors, engineering leaders and senior leadership. Help shape how IonQ runs software delivery across sites, working with the Group Program Manager, Software on the shared delivery standard. Requirements: You will have significant experience running technical programmes across several software teams, ideally in systems, embedded, compiler or platform software. You can discuss scope and trade-offs directly with engineering leads, read and reason about code, and re-plan when a timeline is no longer realistic. You will have a track record of leading teams through genuine ambiguity, writing the first version of the plan when there isn't one, not just executing a defined one. You can break broad problems down into specific, assignable actions, and you have designed a team's operating cadence before. No quantum background is needed. Experience of software that works closely with hardware, for example in labs, robotics, aerospace or scientific instruments, would be beneficial. You'd be a great fit with: A habit of turning diffuse problems into specific, minimal, assignable asks. Technical fluency to engage engineering leads directly on scope and trade-offs, and comfort reading and reasoning about code. Willingness to re-baseline against reality rather than defend dates that have stopped being true, and the judgement to tell a target that motivates from one that just generates fiction. Experience with software that works closely with hardware: labs, robotics, aerospace, scientific instruments or similar. A chase-without-nagging, escalate-without-drama style, and a clear sense of the difference between a risk and a noise. AI as a core part of how you work, for example agent-driven tracking, reconciliation or reporting. Clear, concise written and verbal communication with both technical and senior stakeholders. Additional desirable skills include capacity and staffing modelling, designing operating cadences and experience leading work across sites and time zones. Experience working with programmes and systems such as Jira, Confluence and GitHub, with a preference for lightweight processes, is also helpful. Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. Our benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, matching 401(k), unlimited PTO and paid holidays, parental/adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided when a candidate receives an offer of employment. At IonQ, we believe in fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all while striving to identify and eliminate barriers. We empower employees to thrive by fostering a culture of autonomy, productivity, and respect. We are dedicated to creating an environment where individuals can feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. We are committed to equity and justice. We welcome different voices and viewpoints and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ancestry, physical and/or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, transgender status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other basis protected by law. We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. US Technical Jobs. The position you are applying for will require access to technology that is subject to U.S. export control and government contract restrictions. Employment with IonQ is contingent on either verifying "U.S. Person" (e.g., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum) status for export controls and government contracts work, obtaining any necessary license, and/or confirming the availability of a license exception under U.S. export controls. Please note that in the absence of confirming you are a U.S. Person for export control and government contracts work purposes, IonQ may choose not to apply for a license or decline to use a license exception (if available) for you to access export-controlled technology that may require authorization, and similarly, you may not qualify for government contracts work that requires U.S. Persons, and IonQ may decline to proceed with your application on those bases alone. Accordingly, we will have some additional questions regarding your immigration status that will be used for export control and compliance purposes, and the answers will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law. US Non-Technical Jobs. Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Accordingly, we will have some additional questions regarding your immigration status that will be used for export control and compliance purposes, and the answers will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law. About Wolt At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we're building the delivery of (almost) everything and you'll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn't always easy, but it's definitely exciting. Here you'll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You'll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you're a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. About the Team Our Infrastructure teams build the foundation that engineers at Wolt, Deliveroo, and DoorDash build on: the compute, cloud, and networking capabilities that enable Engineering teams to develop, deploy, and run services at global scale. The EU Compute team has a specific focus on provisioning, scaling, and the efficient operation of GPU infrastructure for AI and ML workloads. This is an emerging space with plenty of greenfield opportunities. We're looking for a Staff Engineer to be a hands-on technical leader for this infrastructure work that crosses team and brand boundaries. You'll set direction for the platform, turn complex problems into deliverable plans, write and review production code, and help other engineers make sound decisions. It's an exciting time to join: we're building a global platform and the choices made now will shape how engineers across the company ship for years. What you'll be doing You'll own some of the hardest infrastructure problems in the company and make the platform easier to operate and safer to build on. We're determined to build great platform products and user experiences, and you'll be pivotal in making this reality. Day-to-day in this role you'll: Set technical direction for shared AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, balancing reliability, security, developer experience, and cost. Lead substantial initiatives from design through rollout and operation, coordinating dependencies and decisions across Wolt, Deliveroo and DoorDash, focusing on workloads targeting GPUs. Evolve Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, identity, and infrastructure provisioning to support growing and varied workloads. Build reusable Terraform patterns and self-service tooling that help teams provision infrastructure safely and consistently. Improve deployment and operational practices, including GitOps, observability, capacity planning, incident response and recovery. Use production signals and developer feedback to find platform friction, choose where to invest and measure whether changes actually help. Assist with supporting the platform, with deep focus on GPU infrastructure, as well as broad focus on compute in general. Gracefully sunset legacy infrastructure and tooling, and create strategies to reduce toil. Mentor engineers through design reviews, implementation and incidents, raising the quality of infrastructure work across teams. Our humble expectations Deep experience building and operating Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure in production. Familiarity with GPU workloads and orchestration is a plus. Strong software engineering skills: you use Go, Python or a similar language to build maintainable tools and automation. Experience with infrastructure as code (we use Terraform) and with designing systems that other engineering teams depend on. A track record of leading complex technical work across teams, including architectural decisions, delivery, and operational follow-through. You have the breadth to collaborate and design across team and domain boundaries, and the depth to have hands-on impact. Strong judgment on trade-offs in distributed systems, networking, security, reliability, and cloud cost. Clear communication, and the ability to bring people together around a practical technical direction. What we offer Scope and influence. Shape infrastructure used globally, while staying close to the engineering. Your work will help product teams ship services with greater ease and confidence. Real problems at global scale. Multi-cluster Kubernetes, AI / ML workloads, cloud networking, GitOps, and progressive delivery across a global company. Autonomy and ownership. Set direction and see it through from design to operation, with the backing of a global engineering organisation spanning Europe and the US. Growth. Room to expand your scope, whether through deeper technical leadership or broader cross-domain influence. Great people. Work with talented engineers and leaders in a diverse, international environment, mentoring and learning from others. Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion We're committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That's why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel. Beware of recruitment scams: DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt will never ask you to pay money or share sensitive financial information during hiring — learn more about our legitimate recruiting process at Recruitment Scam Awareness - DoorDash .
