MonumentalAmsterdam, Germany3 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid
gormanufacturingerpr

Monumental is automating on-site construction with robotics and software. Our mission is to make construction software-defined and autonomous - a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings go up in a single day, with minimal labour. We're a growing team of engineers, operators and technicians from companies like Palantir, Qualcomm, Dyson, Shopify, Tesla, Meta and Google DeepMind. It's still the early days of building the company, and this is a chance to make an outsized impact on a problem that matters. From day one, you'll be working with an experienced founding team, backed by a $32M Series B led by Khosla Ventures and Plural. Monumental is based in the city centre of Amsterdam, in a beautiful facility with an fully equipped workshop and robot testing floor. We build the whole stack in-house - hardware and software, we're explicitly not a hybrid or remote-first company - you can't build robots or walls from home, so we're onsite five days a week. Read more on why we believe you should spend your time working on construction, and learn about our vision and company . You might enjoy Based in Europe's film on how we're fixing Europe's housing shortage , or this video by Andreas Klinger of what our office looks like . About the role Monumental are already deploying robots into the real world at scale, building beautiful, bespoke homes. Our robots are on sites across the Netherlands and the UK and will be in the US within a year. Every deployment teaches us something about our hardware; you'll push our R&D fleet to become one ready for large-series production: you'll own taking us from tens of robots a year to hundreds, and then thousands. You'll also keep that growing fleet deployable, and making design changes yourself to improve reliability and serviceability. Scaling a fleet means solving whatever is in the way: limited space, no clear production process, lead times we can't live with and modules that don't survive the harsh conditions of a construction site. You'll be expected to wear many hats; we're looking for people who are genuinely excited to lead these efforts. Our robots are built from modules at every level of maturity, so expect to work with the hardware R&D team at early stages of development to validate R&D designs as fast as we can. In parallel, you'll be in the workshop determining how we assemble them: the processes, the fixtures, the production space itself, getting the very best out of our Amsterdam facilities. For more context on building hardware at Monumental, read Niall's Substack: I quit my job and moved country to make robots that will fix Europe's housing crisis. What you'll do Bottom line, you'll own increasing our quarterly production from 30 sets of robot systems to 100 within a year. This is a challenge. You'll be building the production capabilities at Monumental rather than inheriting them, and you'll do it alongside engineers and technicians who care a great deal about getting this right. Take prototypes through to production-ready modules. Find and address design flaws, validate improvements, and push these modules to production. Assembling modules, understand the friction slowing production, and address issues yourself along with the hardware team. Develop fixtures, jigs and light automation solutions to support module assembly. Find production processes that bring minimal value when done in-house. Work with external suppliers to outsource them, while maintaining production quality. Produce drawings, assembly instructions and quality checks to make sure our modules are integrated together and our robots are brought up with no errors. What we're looking for Industry experience, ideally in a VC-backed start-up, transitioning products from prototype to production Hands-on, analytical mindset: skilled at building assemblies, running studies, analysing data, solving production and quality issues, and collaborating with technicians to implement and validate improvements Proficiency in mechanical assembly (press fits, fastener selection, harness, etc.) Strong knowledge of GD&T and producing 3D and 2D drawings Experience creating structured process documentation (work instructions, SOPs, quality checklists) Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken Nice-to-haves BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent Familiarity with robotics or complex electromechanical systems Experience with ERP tools (Odoo or similar) Why Monumental? Joining Monumental means being at the forefront of a movement aimed at making significant strides in the construction industry. Here, your work has the potential to impact not just the company but the future of how we build. If you're driven by innovation, eager to tackle complex challenges, and ready to make a tangible difference, we want to hear from you. For open applications (where you don't see an exact role match), please reach out to us at: ----- - share with us the most interesting or challenging project you've worked on, why you want to join and your CV or portfolio. Unfortunately we do not currently support internships. If you don't meet all the qualifications here but are excited about Monumental and feel you'd still be able to help us solve difficult problems, do get in touch. We welcome generalists who focus on outcomes and are eager to learn on the job. Find more English Speaking Jobs in Netherlands on Arbeitnow

TL;DR: We are looking for a gap-year or final-year student to work alongside the leadership team on Davis's go-to-market, strategy and growth . About Davis Davis is an AI-native real estate company accelerating early-stage development and architectural design. Today developers coordinate four to five fragmented stakeholders over weeks or months. Soon they will need only one: Davis. We turn every input that shapes a development decision into decision-ready outputs: investor-grade feasibility studies, investment analysis, and architect-certified designs, delivered in days. Every stage pairs our proprietary AI systems with expert review, so velocity never comes at the cost of reliability. We closed a $5.5M pre-seed co-led by Heartcore Capital and Balderton Capital , with Yellow, Evantic and Entrepreneur First, alongside angels from the founding teams of Spacemaker, Black Forest Labs, Hugging Face, Supabase, Cleo and Spore Bio. We already work with leading developers and expect to support hundreds of projects over the coming year, deepening our research, our hiring, and our coverage of the development process end to end. The role The role is cross-functional. You work directly with the whole team: the CEO and the Real Estate Partner as much as the tech teams. Together with them, you take part in decisions on company strategy, client acquisition and relationships, and product improvement. Your analyses form the basis for these decisions. Client relationships and deliverables Contribute to studies for our developer and investor clients, from data analysis to final formatting. Incorporate client feedback and improve deliverable quality from one version to the next. Gather client needs and feedback, then turn them into concrete proposals to shape the offer and improve the product. Product improvement Turn recurring work methods into automated tools and processes, with the tech teams. Formalise the methods and quality standards these tools reproduce. Test these tools on real cases and suggest improvements. Support their adoption by the team: documentation, onboarding, user feedback. Go-to-market and client acquisition Define the priority client segments and the decision-makers to approach. Build the target account list and identify entry points and partnerships. Prepare prospecting materials and key meetings. Strategy and planning Maintain the business plan and prepare the analyses that inform leadership decisions, including with investors. Profile Education : student at a top business or engineering school, on a gap year or in your final year. Experience : a first internship in strategy consulting, investment banking, growth/VC, a leading real estate investment fund or a start-up. Key skills : strong synthesis and presentation skills , a real appetite for AI tools and a genuine interest in the real estate sector. Analytical skills Ability to study a market (size, dynamics, players, prices, demand), structure it, segment targets and build a clear, verifiable model. Ability to structure a client presentation and deliver it. Rigour and attention to detail in analysis. Strong writing skills, in French and English. Additional skills Strong intellectual curiosity, with an appetite for real estate and for AI tools. Autonomy and the ability to get up to speed quickly on new topics. Ease in dealing with leadership, clients and partners. Enjoys working with tech teams. Knowledge of real estate is a plus. Why join Davis? You will work closely with the leadership team, with a full view of strategy, business development, clients and product. You will have broad autonomy and a direct impact on company decisions. You will learn to use AI as an everyday productivity lever, on high-stakes topics. Package 6-month full-time internship Offices in Paris 75002 Meal vouchers 50% of public transport costs covered More information about Davis, the team and the market we're going after: Team Mehdi (Co-founder & CEO) grew up in a family of architects and has lived this problem firsthand. He's a repeat founder who bootstrapped his first startup at 20 , and graduated from Sciences Po and HEC Paris. Amine (Co-founder & CTO) is an AI researcher from École Polytechnique who worked extensively on discrete diffusion and turned down a PhD with Google DeepMind to build Davis. They started working together in July 2025 at Entrepreneur First's first European residency, a two-month lock-in in a German castle. Today we're a team of 12 : technical profiles from Polytechnique, ENS and INRIA alongside architects and deep real estate expertise. We're small with an extremely high bar . If you want to work deeply on hard problems and see your work reach clients within days, you're the one we need. Why we'll win Real estate is a $13 trillion industry that technology has largely bypassed. The professional services that feed it (design, engineering, feasibility, permitting) represent hundreds of billions in spend that no one has seriously automated. Proptech spent the last decade selling SaaS on the edges of these workflows. It didn't work, for two reasons: no professional wants another tool to learn, and no tool can automate work that runs on expert judgment. Davis makes a different bet. We don't sell tools, we sell the work : AI-generated, expert-validated, delivered in days instead of weeks. Every project compounds our data advantage across typologies, geographies and regulatory contexts. We care about who you are, not just what's on your CV. If you're drawn to what we're building but don't meet every requirement, we still want to hear from you. Studies show that women in particular tend to apply only when they meet 100% of the criteria. If that's you, please don't let that hold you back. We'd love to receive your application. Find Jobs in France on Arbeitnow
