Our Mission You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you're blocked.   We're here to give power to the patient.  For nearly 20 years, we've built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we're going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc's marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more. Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting . We don't want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking. Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.   Your Impact on our Mission: We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Appointment Management team at Zocdoc! This team owns the backend systems that determine when, where, and how appointments can be booked across Zocdoc's channels. We build the services, APIs, and data models that let practices express their real-world scheduling needs and ensure providers are accurately bookable for the patients they can serve. This foundational work supports the booking experience for millions of patients while enabling providers and practice staff to manage their schedules with confidence. As a Staff Engineer at Zocdoc, you'll balance deep individual contribution with technical leadership and mentorship. You'll shape the architecture of our scheduling and availability systems, drive cross-team technical initiatives, and raise the engineering bar through sound practices and operational ownership. You'll work primarily on backend systems, with opportunities to contribute across the stack when needed.   You'll enjoy this role if you are… Excited by the challenge of building the backend systems that power scheduling across healthcare Energized by designing services and data models that handle real-world complexity at scale A product-minded engineer who loves working in a highly collaborative and supportive environment Motivated by building foundational infrastructure that makes healthcare easier for patients and providers Passionate about mentorship and leveling up the engineers around you. Passionate about building diverse and inclusive teams and culture    Your day to day is… Owning the design and development of backend services, APIs, and data models that power Zocdoc's scheduling and availability systems, primarily using C#/.NET and AWS technologies (DynamoDB, Lambdas, SQS/SNS, Kinesis). We also use React/TypeScript on the frontend Driving architectural decisions for complex scheduling logic, ensuring reliability, scalability, and correctness across millions of bookings Leading cross-team technical initiatives and establishing patterns that improve engineering quality beyond your immediate team Collaborating with our agile team of dedicated and brilliant engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-impact features Championing a culture of engineering excellence, leading by example in code quality, performance, and operational ownership Mentoring your peers, with the notion that helping others means learning and growing yourself Working with cutting edge GenAI tools and technology   You'll be successful in this role if you have…      A track record of designing and delivering backend systems that handle complex domain logic at scale A passion for technology and the ability to think critically about the performance, scalability, and reliability of the systems you build The instinct to simplify: you break down ambiguous, loosely defined problems into clear technical direction Successfully mentored other engineers and encouraged your peers to adopt engineering best practices Integrated generative AI tools into daily workflows to automate tasks, foster innovation, and maximize productivity The mentality of an owner: you drive initiatives from architectural design through production and take pride in operational excellence Superb communication skills. You keep stakeholders in the loop and can dive into technical details at the right level for any audience An unrelenting desire to build more equitable, inclusive, and diverse workplaces, and you view this role as an opportunity to create positive change Humility. You treat all people with dignity and respect, regardless of title or tenure   Benefits: Flexible, hybrid work environment Unlimited Vacation 100% paid employee health benefit options (including medical, dental, and vision) Commuter Benefits 401(k) with employer funded match Corporate wellness program with Wellhub Sabbatical leave (for employees with 5+ years of service) Competitive paid parental leave and fertility/family planning reimbursement Cell phone reimbursement Catered lunch everyday along with beverages and snacks Employee Resource Groups and ZocClubs to promote shared community and belonging Great Place to Work Certified   Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details. NYC Base Salary Range $180,000 — $270,000 USD About us Zocdoc is the country's leading digital health marketplace that helps patients easily find and book the care they need. Each month, millions of patients use our free service to find nearby, in-network providers, compare choices based on verified patient reviews, and instantly book in-person or video visits online. Providers participate in Zocdoc's Marketplace to reach new patients to grow their practice, fill their last-minute openings, and deliver a better healthcare experience. Founded in 2007 with a mission to give power to the patient, our work each day in pursuit of that mission is guided by our six core values . Zocdoc is a private company backed by some of the world's leading investors, and we believe we're still only scratching the surface of what we plan to accomplish.  Zocdoc is a mission-driven organization dedicated to building teams as diverse as the patients and providers we aim to serve.   About Gusto At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy . AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process. About the Role: The Conversion Specialist manages the onboarding experience for 401(k) plans transferring an existing plan to the Gusto 401k platform. This role oversees the full conversion lifecycle — from initial handoff through asset transfer, data reconciliation, and first contribution — ensuring accurate recordkeeping and a smooth transition for plan sponsors and administrators. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of retirement plan mechanics, meticulous attention to detail, and the confidence to guide employers through a complex, multi-step process. They work exclusively with plan sponsors and administrators and partner closely with Legal, Sales, and Operations to keep conversions on track and compliant. About the Team: The Conversion Onboarding team handles one of the most operationally complex moments in a client's journey: moving an existing retirement plan to a new provider. We combine operational rigor with a client-first approach, ensuring sponsors and administrators feel supported and informed at every step — and that assets are transferred accurately and on time. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Manage a dedicated book of business of 401(k) plan conversions from signing through completed asset transfer and first contribution Work with plan sponsors and administrators to gather required documentation and ensure accurate data is submitted to support a smooth asset transfer and recordkeeping transition Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors and administrators via email, phone, and video — including inbound scheduling through Calendly Guide employers through pre-ready task dashboards, proactively preventing stalls and keeping plans on track for their plan start date Monitor and drive performance against key benchmarks including time to activation, time to ready, CSAT, and average response time Partner closely with Operations and cross-functional teams including Sales and Legal to support asset transfers, client expectations, and complex plan changes Use AI tools to streamline workflows, improve client communications, and increase efficiency across your book of business Here's what we're looking for: 2+ years of total work experience with 1+ years in client-facing implementation, technical account management, or retirement plan administration; startup and/or financial services experience a plus Proven ability to manage a large, active book of business involving complex, multi-step processes simultaneously Deep knowledge in one or more of the following: SaaS, Operations, or Finance; retirement plan experience strongly preferred Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly around data accuracy and reconciliation Proficiency with Salesforce and comfort working across case management and collaboration tools in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills across email, phone, and video with a client-first mindset RPS or CRPS designation a plus, or active pursuit of either; familiarity with ERISA requirements, payroll systems, bundled vs. unbundled providers, or Safe Harbor compliance is a plus.  Our cash compensation range for this role is $53,750.00/year to 64,500.00/year in Denver and Atlanta. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above. At Gusto, we don't use titles the traditional way, as a signal of rank or hierarchy. Instead, our titles describe two things at once — your craft (what you do, e.g. Engineering, Design) and your scope of ownership (what you're accountable for) — which is why you'll see something like "Head of X" instead of a rank word like "Director" that tells you neither. Because of this, the title on this posting may look different from what you'd expect based on the scope and seniority of the role, and from how similar roles are typically titled elsewhere. If you have questions about how this role compares to your current title or level, your recruiter can help translate. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.  When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees. Reliable, consistent presence: We expect regular and predictable attendance, whether you're working in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, so that you stay closely connected to your team, customers, and stakeholders in real time and ensure colleagues and customers receive the timely support and responsiveness they deserve. Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.  Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. If you require a medical or religious accommodation at any time throughout your candidate journey, please fill out this form and a member of our team will get in touch with you. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. At Cloudflare, we're not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we're looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you're the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you'll fit right in. Available Locations: Lisbon, Portugal  This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.  About the role Cloudflare is scaling one of the largest global networks on the Internet, and capacity planning is what keeps that growth ahead of demand. As an Infrastructure Network & Supply Planner on our Infrastructure Capacity Planning team you'll build the products, tools, and AI agents that turn growth and demand forecasts into scalable, execution-ready infrastructure expansions, ensuring the right capacity is in the right place, at the right time and cost, in the shortest time possible. You'll design and ship internal products — forecasting models, planning systems, dashboards, and automated workflows — that make end-to-end infrastructure readiness faster, cheaper, and more reliable at global scale You'll refine and create new AI agents to model demand into supply, network, and capacity scenarios and surface risks early, producing force multipliers that let planners see the whole system and act quickly — shifting time from reactive task-processing to proactive strategy, and scaling impact. You'll partner across planning, operations, procurement, logistics, engineering, and finance to keep Cloudflare's global deployments moving smoothly. What you'll do I nfrastructure Capacity & Expansion Planning Translate demand forecasts into infrastructure capacity plans that support business growth, aligning hardware deployments with performance, cost, and timeline targets. Track progress, resolve blockers, and maintain deployment momentum across the global fleet. Supply, Inventory & Lifecycle Readiness Partner with Procurement and Data Center teams to ensure hardware and resources are available at the right time and locations, and manage inventory to balance availability, cost efficiency, and operational risk. Support hardware refresh and asset lifecycle planning, and align infrastructure investments with budget and growth plans alongside Finance. AI-First Products, Automation & Continuous Improvement Design, build, and ship internal products — forecasting models, dashboards, planning systems, and automated workflows — using AI/agentic tooling to structure messy data, run scenario analyses, and improve planning accuracy. Identify high-leverage opportunities to automate repetitive work, introduce new tools and methodologies, and continuously improve how planning and deployment operate at scale. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a central layer across planning, operations, engineering, logistics, procurement, and finance to keep Cloudflare's global deployments moving smoothly. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Experience in capacity planning, infrastructure planning, production/operations planning, supply planning, or a related technical planning role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience across complex operational systems and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. Hands-on experience building tools, automation, or internal products Fluency with AI tools in daily work, and a genuine appetite to use and create AI/agentic tooling to scale decision-making and eliminate manual toil. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states. 1.1.1.1 : We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver.
