Our product surface is expanding fast - GPU clusters, compute orchestration, storage, networking, serverless containers, inference, and training. We're hiring a Product Director to own our cloud infrastructure and inference portfolio end to end: the foundational systems that power Mistral's datacenters, and the inference platform that brings the world's most advanced generative AI models to production. This is a broad mandate. You'll own both scopes and, as the business scales, build the organization and stream leadership to delegate them. You'll define the vision, hire and grow the team, and set the operating rhythm that lets a fast-moving org deliver with focus. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how Mistral's technology is adopted globally and to unlock a major new line of business. What You'll Do Strategy & vision Define and evangelize the product vision, strategy, and annual goals for our Inference and Cloud products, aligned with customer needs, company objectives and market trends. Go-to-market Own adoption, revenue contribution, and gross margin. Partner with marketing and GTM teams on positioning, pricing and packaging, launch plans, and adoption strategy. Team leadership Build the product organization for these products: hire product managers and stream leads, set the operating cadence (quarterly product reviews, roadmap reviews), and develop PMs through clear growth paths. Customer & market fit Work directly with AI-native startups and enterprises running advanced AI workloads to drive product–market fit across the portfolio. Ability to align and inspire cross-functional teams without direct authority, and to communicate credibly with executives, engineers, and customers. Low ego, high bias for action, and comfort in ambiguity — equally at home crafting a strategy narrative and diving into metrics, a UX detail, or a customer escalation. Engineering Team Lead, Serverless Containers
Full TimeOn-siteLead

About Mistral Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms. We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited. The team Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe. Our customers in finance, healthcare, and the public sector run frontier models on European-jurisdiction infrastructure, and the Cloud Platform team builds the systems that make that possible — compute orchestration, Kubernetes, bare metal, storage, networking, and the datacenter fleet that runs it all. We run it all on our own metal, our own network, our own datacenters — which means when something breaks, the fix is ours to write. European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on and shape the team building it. The Role This is a people-leadership role from day one. You will manage the team — hiring, coaching, performance, growth paths, honest feedback — while staying close to the code: roughly half your time in architecture decisions and the hardest technical problems the team faces, the other half leading your squad. If you are looking for a senior IC role, this is not it. You will lead the team building our serverless containers product: the way developers run AI apps, MCP servers, APIs, and managed workers on our cloud without thinking about servers. Push a container, get an endpoint, scale from zero to thousands of instances and back down — across CPU and GPU. On a hyperscaler, the serverless layer is a product someone else built. Here you own it end to end: the scheduler that decides where a container lands, the routing path a request takes, the machinery that turns a scaled-to-zero service into a warm instance before a customer notices. All of it runs on metal, network, and datacenters we own. That tension is the product: scale-to-zero economics with cold starts in milliseconds, autoscaling that absorbs a launch spike without a config change, GPUs scheduled onto containers the way other platforms schedule CPU. The customers betting on this layer are the developers building the next generation of AI software on European infrastructure. What You Will Do Own the container platform end to end: image delivery, placement, request routing, scale-up, scale-to-zero — across CPU and GPU. Make cold starts a solved problem: snapshotting, prewarming, image-layer caching, whatever it takes for scale-from-zero to feel instant. Treat AI workloads as the normal case: GPU-backed containers, streaming responses, long-lived connections, MCP servers that cost almost nothing while idle. Write Go alongside your team and own the architecture and the hardest implementation decisions. Grow the engineers, not just the software — set the standard for ownership and coach people past their comfort zone. Own people management for the team: hiring, performance, growth paths, and honest feedback. Partner with Product Managers to turn platform decisions into a product developers want to deploy on. What We're Looking For 2+ years of real people leadership. You have managed engineers — hired, coached, given honest feedback, and grown them. Hands-on contribution matters here, but this role is judged on the team you build and lead, not just the code you write. You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped. You have built container or workload platforms — orchestration, scheduling, isolation, request routing — not just deployed onto someone else's serverless platform. Deep Linux: namespaces, cgroups, image layers, page cache — comfortable well below the application layer. Multi-tenancy instincts: density, isolation, and fairness when hundreds of customers share one fleet. Significant experience building complex backend or infrastructure systems. You have partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software that reached real users. A low-ego, team-first mindset. We care less about your exact domain and more about whether you are the kind of technical force other engineers want to work alongside. What We Offer We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks. Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, delivering an ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform alongside a manufacturing architecture that scales from large to extra-large vehicle sizes. The Dive-XL programme is designed, built and tested in Australia and is executing against live contracts. The XL Vehicle System team owns the vehicle end to end – systems, software, mechanical, electrical, and integration and test. ABOUT THE JOB You will own programme execution across the XL vehicle system as it moves from development into production, reporting to the Director of Platforms. The role requires both programme management rigour and genuine technical depth: you will be expected to engage substantively on system architecture, interfaces and verification approach alongside the engineering discipline leads. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own programme planning end to end for the vehicle system: scoping, sequencing, dependency mapping, risk identification, and driving decisions when requirements, timelines or resourcing conflict. Stand up and run the scaled agile cadence across the vehicle programme — coordinating planning increments, cross-team dependency mapping, and integration points across up to ~100 engineers spanning multiple agile teams. Own the rhythm: PI planning, backlog alignment, system demos and inspect-and-adapt events, ensuring the cadence actually drives decisions rather than just generating ceremony. Implement and maintain robust project management methodologies and best practices across the programme, driving predictability and accountability. Proactively identify and mitigate programme risks and challenges, developing mitigation plans alongside the engineers who will execute them. Engage with the technical substance of the programme – architecture, requirements baselines, interfaces and verification approach – well enough to catch problems early rather than simply track status. Partner with discipline leads as a technical peer, pressure-testing estimates and identifying missing scope before a schedule or resourcing decision is made. Translate system-level requirements and subsystem dependencies into a sequenced plan that reflects how the vehicle is actually integrated and tested. Manage interfaces and dependencies across production, supply chain and test, driving resolution where subsystem plans conflict. Lead re-planning as priorities shift, and communicate the change and its technical consequences clearly. Own the technical narrative in design review gates, milestone reviews and executive updates. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated systems engineering capability – requirements decomposition, interface management and ICDs, subsystem trade studies, verification and validation, and requirements traceability across a complex system Technical depth sufficient to engage as a peer with engineers rather than only track their status – able to follow an architecture discussion, question an estimate, and understand the downstream effect of a design decision Delivery experience across both hardware and software – you have owned the plan for a complex product where mechanical, electrical and software work had to converge, and have shipped software as part of that scope Hands-on experience running scaled agile delivery across a programme of multiple agile teams — including standing up planning increments, managing cross-team dependencies in Jira, and facilitating the events (planning, sync, demo, retrospective) that keep teams aligned. Not just familiarity: you've been the person making the system work. Prior experience as a practising engineer is strongly preferred , ideally in systems, mechanical, electrical or software engineering before moving into programme leadership 5+ years driving delivery of complex engineering programmes, including time in a technically accountable role Strong programme management fundamentals: scoping, dependency mapping, risk management, and execution across multiple teams Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to manage stakeholders across engineering, production and leadership and to push back on unrealistic asks Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience on subsea, maritime, aerospace, automotive or another complex vehicle platform Background in robotics or autonomous systems Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, configuration management, or formal requirements tooling Defence industry experience, including milestone review structures such as SRR, PDR and CDR Experience in a rapidly iterating test environment with close hardware and software integration The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. About Us We're living through a Cambrian explosion of intelligence: new models and new chips, each specialised for different tasks, are arriving all at once. The result is a new era for AI, one of radical heterogeneity. Callosum is the Intelligent Systems Company. We believe the next generation of AI won't be defined by any single model or chip, but by intelligent systems in which hardware and intelligence co-evolve. We are building the infrastructure that unifies heterogeneous compute across the full stack. This opens a new axis of scaling intelligence: a dynamic system that tailors itself to what each workload actually needs, whether that's speed, cost, precision, or whatever unit comes next. The last era scaled on a different bet: one bigger model, more of the same chip, more data. That bet is running into structural limits. Frontier models offer extraordinary capability at unsustainable cost, one that today's monolithic infrastructure was never designed to serve. Our founding principle is that intelligence comes from many specialised systems working together, not from any single component. We build the software orchestration layer that co-evolves models, workflows and silicon into one system, delivering inference tailored to every workload, and demonstrating orders-of-magnitude leaps in capability and cost. Because our software spans the full stack, our engineering team works directly with heterogeneous accelerators and frontier silicon, including Cerebras, d-Matrix, Intel, NVIDIA, AMD, Normal Computing, Tenstorrent, GreatSky, and Mixx. We are not stopping at today's chips: each new generation of silicon unlocks algorithms that couldn't run before, and we intend to be first to them, every time. If we get it right, it will belong to everyone building on it - not to any single vendor. In our latest funding round, we raised $100M, led by Atomico with participation from Plural, DCVC and the UK Sovereign AI Fund's first investment. With this, we are building the infrastructure for the next era of intelligence. We are engineers and scientists based in London, working across the full depth of the stack. We are curious, intellectually honest, and building what doesn't exist yet. If you thrive on uncharted territory and are energised by the scale of the challenge, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role Most agent frameworks are designed for short-lived workflows, best-effort execution, and a narrow set of tools. Callosum is building for a different world: agents that run for weeks, operate across distributed infrastructure, and interact with stateful systems where failures, retries, and side effects must be handled explicitly. Success in this environment requires an agent runtime built entirely from first principles. Sitting at the heart of our technical mission, this position owns the runtime and programming model for long-running agent systems. Your focus will span durable execution, checkpointing and replay, distributed scheduling, secure tool execution, and end-to-end observability. You will develop the core software that makes agent workflows reliable, debuggable, reproducible, and efficient as we expand our model and tool footprint. This is a high-leverage role tackling complex systems challenges across the entire stack. Runtime, observability tooling, and framework design are three separate specialties. We are glad to hire someone with real depth in a combination of them. What You'll Build Design and build stateful, asynchronous agent runtimes across distributed environments Define event histories, checkpoint and resume semantics, deterministic reconstruction, retries, cancellation, timeouts, and recovery from partial failure Build traces and replay, time-travel debugging, and hierarchical tracing across model calls, tools, handoffs, state changes, and runtime decisions Develop clear Python APIs, libraries, and DSLs with stable extension points for tools, backends, and new execution models Design scheduling, placement, backpressure, resource accounting, sandboxing, permissions, and isolation for secure tool execution at scale Develop tooling for trajectory collection and visualisation, performance profiling, experiment comparison, failure attribution, and regression detection across models, prompts, tools, and runtime versions What You'll Bring We are looking for real strength in some of the following rather than coverage of all of it. Strong distributed systems background with hands-on experience in durable workflows, actor systems, schedulers, workflow engines, distributed databases, or stream processors Experience designing a library, framework, runtime, or DSL that other engineers or researchers adopted Deep Python expertise plus proficiency in a systems language such as Rust, C++, or Go - and the instinct to move between abstraction layers when it matters Hands-on debugging skills across APIs, runtimes, and distributed infrastructure - with a practical understanding of nondeterminism, side effects, and reproducibility What Sets You Apart Experience building a production-grade runtime, compiler, workflow engine, distributed training system, database, debugger, or orchestration platform Meaningful contributions to systems such as Ray, Temporal, Kafka, Erlang/BEAM, PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or comparable projects Strong API design judgement, open-source collaboration, and disciplined approaches to testing, versioning, compatibility, and reproducibility Experience in ML systems or large-scale inference and training What We Offer Competitive Salary, determined by skills and experience Equity & Ownership Private healthcare We offer Visa sponsorship and relocation benefits to hire the best in the world We work in person at our London office. You'll have the tools, space and setup to do your best work, and if you have specific needs, just tell us We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome, and believe in equal opportunities for all.
