Senior Software Engineer Scope automates the data collection that's slowing down the physical world. Standards are vital for the safety of our infrastructure. Spending hours manually documenting them is not. Dave is an inspector. Today he's climbing through one of Europe's biggest chemical plants, looking for the corrosion that could shut the whole site down, with a notebook and pen in hand. Tomorrow, he'll spend even longer on the part of the job he hates: turning those scribbles into a report. We're building the best AI-native data collection layer for the 2 billion field workers like Dave. Scope radically simplifies how inspectors collect data in the field, make decisions, and produce reports. Along the way, we're building the world's largest dataset on the condition of the built world and the decisions experts make about it. It's a $2T market and we're just getting started, with ambitions. We have grown revenue 5x in the last year and on track to reach 10M ARR in 2026 . We work with 6 of the top 10 companies in the space. Our customers inspect facilities and products for companies including AstraZeneca and SpaceX . We've assembled a best-in-class team: acquired and future founders, people from institutions like Imperial, Carnegie Mellon and Oxford, and from firms like Goldman Sachs, Flexport and Amazon. Since launching from Entrepreneurs First in 2024, we've raised an oversubscribed $20m round led by Index Ventures , the firm behind Figma, Revolut and Wiz, with over 100 unicorns backed to date. About the role: You'll join a talented, flat structured engineering team where we are looking for forward deployed or product focused engineers where you will be at the front line of our key accounts. You will be running the rollout, building tools tailored for the client and own problems end to end . You will not be siloed so will work across the product, business, clients and won't be handed tickets and asked to stay in your lane. You'll talk to users, decide what matters, design the solution, ship it, and see whether it worked. We work in person five days a week from our sunny office in Farringdon. We believe being together helps us move faster and solve problems more effectively and it's also more fun! We're looking for people who want to help invent what inspection software should look like in a post AI world . What you'll do: Build the systems that takes voice notes, photos, videos and proactively finishes reports Engineer how we feed context to AI models: how to store, fetch and select standards, reports, media, user intention Evolve our workflow builder into self evolving software Design the architecture behind the product: how unstructured data flows through the system, how AI is integrated, how offline and online behaviour stay seamless, and how we keep the product simple as it becomes more powerful. Who you are: We believe great teams are made up of highly agentic managers of one. People who care more about shipping results than collecting badges. You should apply if you're deeply technical and enjoy building applications You have strong technical skills, ideally mobile applications or client focused. You have 5+ years of experience and have built up enough scar tissue to know which technical decisions matter. Expo / React Native experience a big plus Interview process: An initial call. A collaborative technical exercise with an engineer. An Interview with a cofounder - Jonny (CEO) or Jakob (CTO). Onsite Systems Design and Product Interview - Meeting more people on the team and getting a feel of what it would be like to work here. * Offer! What we offer: Our benefits are designed to reflect our values. We offer comprehensive employee benefits, which includes the following: £120k - £150k base + significant equity so you have a stake in what you are building We provide full visa sponsorship that has allowed us to have unrestricted access to global talent and build an international, diverse team Tools to do your job including brand new MacBook laptop + Scope merch Generous above-market annual leave allowance Bupa private medical (0 excess, pre-existing conditions covered) + Bupa dental Employee Pension through NEST Flexible Parental Leave (including Adoption Leave) Healthy meal prep delivered Lunch + Dinners as well as fully stocked fridge and snacks, drinks Team lunches on Fridays Regular events including off-sites Learning and Development: Access to online resources and courses as well as internal Lunch and Learn seminars that allow collaboration and continuous development At Scope, we believe diverse perspectives build stronger products and teams. Even if your background doesn't perfectly align with every single bullet point here, if you have the drive and the commercial instincts to excel in this role and be a part of a transformational start up, we strongly encourage you to apply. Beyond the day-to-day, you'll lead meaningful ongoing initiatives, including but not limited to: rolling out a new brand font across our packaging and print ecosystem and driving production across all printed touchpoints. This role sits at the intersection of craft and collaboration. You'll work hand-in-hand with our graphic, structural, and industrial design teams, bringing the technical depth and attention to detail that turns great design into great product. We value clear, proactive communication, the kind that keeps a cross-time-zone team aligned and moving without friction. Flexible hours are part of the role, with availability expected during afternoon and early evening hours in your local time zone to ensure meaningful overlap with U.S. colleagues and vendors. You Will This role requires someone who is independent, meticulous, and trusted by the team, a true owner of all production files who takes pride in flawless execution and clear documentation, and who can operate with a high degree of autonomy in a remote setting. File Preparation Translate designs into clean, technically accurate, press-ready files for packaging and print. Apply dielines, manage file layers, and prepare files for various print and production formats. Convert Figma layouts into production-ready assets with precision and consistency. Serve as the final quality check before anything goes to print, catching every detail, every time. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We support high ownership and real professional growth. Curious about what it's really like to work here? Read our values and hear from the people who do . If they resonate, this could be a great fit! Location: This role is fully remote but must overlap with an East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas in the U.S. or U.K. at this time. About this role Individual Giving has set an objective to double new donor acquisition in 2027 and expand our awareness through brand ads for key segments. Paid media is the biggest lever we have to get there, and as Growth Manager, Paid Media, you'll own delivery of this important priority. To help get us there, GiveDirectly is planning to expand its spend on paid media. We are looking for someone who will be a strong cultural fit—curious, keen not to follow industry standards but to look for disproportionately high-leverage opportunities, keen to constantly learn and adjust, and comfortable launching a paid program without agency support. This role would suit someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to pivot and change tactics based on data and changing circumstances. Reporting to our Director of Individual Giving, you'll manage all paid acquisition for Individual Giving across Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok, and also work closely with the VP of Marketing to manage all upper-funnel media buys (e.g., newsletters, podcasts, etc.) for both the Individual Giving and Marketing teams. This role is responsible for executing our paid media program end to end, including negotiating and managing contracts, creating ads, capturing screenshots for documentation, publishing campaigns, and monitoring performance. You will also build our tracking and attribution systems and use that data to grow both one-time and monthly giving. To do so, we are looking for a strong individual contributor who is comfortable executing within the platforms without a big team or agency. The Individual Giving team is responsible for generating revenue across donors with an annual gift below $50k. To do so, the Individual Giving team executes compelling public fundraising campaigns, drives creative donor-facing content, and tests new marketing initiatives aimed at expanding our donor base and raising awareness of direct cash transfers. You'll join a small but high-performing team that runs several campaigns at once and works with a lot of independence. You'll partner with Brand and Marketing colleagues each campaign cycle to ensure integrated marketing across all public-facing materials. Level: Manager (we are willing to hire at Senior Manager for more experienced candidates) Reports To: Director of Individual Giving Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel ~1–2 times per year to one of our countries of operation for team retreats or field visits What you'll bring: 3–5+ years in growth or performance marketing with a proven track record running paid media to a conversion or revenue target, in-house or agency, across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Non-profit experience is a plus, but not required. Experience managing a paid media budget of at least US$5M a year with a track record of strong performance measurement, with the discipline to trust your own data over platform recommendations and the judgment to know when to scale a channel, cut it, or admit it isn't working—pause and reset. A genuine test-and-learn habit: you design multivariable testing across creative, audience, messaging, and landing pages, using these insights to scale the program. Strong written communication, the ability to own creative direction of ads (from conception and drafting through launch), and experience with or a strong eye for graphic design (Figma, Canva). You'll work with content creation teams for bigger projects, but initial ideation and direction should come from you. Strong, succinct communication, and the ability to work productively with a Brand and Marketing team focused on brand awareness. Alignment with GiveDirectly's values and active demonstration of our core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, and fostering inclusivity. Experience with tracking and attribution to ensure detailed reports are shared with senior management. Bonus skills: Experience with our tech stack (WordPress, Salesforce, PostHog, Google Analytics, Tableau, Zendesk, Ahrefs) or similar tools. Experience with paid ads with a non-profit of a similar size or an agency supporting non-profits. What you'll do Own paid media strategy and performance to execute growth and brand goals Develop and execute the paid digital fundraising strategy that acquires new donors, grows revenue, and strengthens long-term supporter value across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, programmatic, and emerging platforms (approx. 50% of time). Run top-of-funnel brand ads, from placement and contracting to creative direction and development, including podcasts, OOH, and connected TV (approx. 30% of time). Manage and optimize paid investment daily, monitoring spend, pacing, cost per acquisition, and conversion, and reallocating budget as performance dictates. Run a continuous test-and-learn program across audiences, creative messaging, channels, landing pages, and donation experiences, and turn results into decisions rather than reports. Make key and strategic recommendations to the Director of Individual Giving and VP of Marketing on where budget spend should be allocated based on performance data. Grow one-time and monthly giving through paid Run acquisition and conversion campaigns for both one-time and monthly giving, testing paid tactics to grow the recurring program—the fastest-growing part of our portfolio. Optimize the digital supporter journey so paid campaigns connect cleanly to landing pages, donation forms, email, and CRM, maximizing conversion and retention. Analyze acquisition, conversion, revenue, and retention trends by segment to inform where the next dollar goes. Measurement & Reporting Stand up standardized paid-channel attribution and UTM tracking so acquisition spend is evaluable outside the ad platforms. Build and maintain performance dashboards that connect campaign, website, and CRM data into a single view of what each channel returns. Develop a forecasting model that projects cost per acquisition and revenue by channel, so budget increases are decisions rather than bets. Report to senior management on budget and paid campaign performance on a bi-weekly basis. This role might not be for you if You are used to relying on an agency for recommendations or ad builds in the platforms themselves. You do not have experience/familiarity with both upper-funnel and direct conversion paid advertising. You are not comfortable managing projects from A–Z, including ideation, planning, launching, testing, iterating, and evaluating. What success looks like in 12–18 months A clear, measurable contribution to the 2027 goal of doubling new donor acquisition, with a 50–70% share of new monthly donors acquired through paid. The Google Ad Grant is fully deployed against upper-funnel objectives, in compliance, and contributing measurable qualified traffic. A documented acquisition model forecasts cost per acquisition and revenue by channel accurately enough to justify a materially larger paid budget.
