About us We're reverse-engineering the origin of life — one of the great unsolved problems in science, and one we think AI finally makes tractable. Understanding this transition, from geochemistry to biochemistry, is what will let us orchestrate molecular networks and build systems that are more capable, adaptive, and efficient. If we succeed, the applications are vast: catalysis, green synthesis, ab initio synthetic biology, programmable matter. Understanding and harnessing these processes could let ten billion of us thrive on this planet — and let life keep evolving beyond it. We're a small, diverse team of AI engineers, computational scientists, and bench scientists. We hold ourselves to the rigor of a research institute, but we ship like an engineering firm. Global team, HQs in Cambridge, MA and London, UK. The role You'll simulate enzyme-catalysed reactions from the physics up. Using reactive and free-energy methods you'll map how reactions proceed in the active site, compute transition states and barriers, and work out where the catalysis actually comes from: why a step has the barrier it does, which residues do the work, and how mutations move it. You'll work with the wider simulation and ML teams, but also directly with our bench scientists — seeing your predictions tested in vitro and getting experimental feedback on fast, tight loops. What you'll do Characterise mechanisms, transition states, and activation barriers in the active site, and compare computed barriers against measured kinetics Pin down the origins of catalysis — the residues, interactions, and dynamics that set rate and selectivity — and use MD to understand how active-site motion shapes the reaction Turn results into concrete, testable proposals for the wet lab, and fold the resulting data back into your models Help physics-based and learned methods strengthen each other as we build them out Essential experience . Expertise in enzymatic reaction modelling using QM/MM and a variety of free energy methods A solid grasp of enzyme catalysis: mechanism, kinetics, cofactors, and how active-site chemistry and conformational dynamics sets rate and selectivity Sound judgement about method selection, good understanding o methodological limitations and computational cost Highly preferred Experience in protein design for enzymatic optimization You've run design–test–refine cycles with a wet lab before Experience with reactive machine-learned potentials, or coupling physics-based modelling with ML Logistics Compensation is highly competitive. We're also able to sponsor visas for the right candidate. Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
Description Legartis is on a mission: to unlock legal work at scale. We set the standard for AI-powered contract work by offering a platform that changes how legal teams work, from drafting through negotiation to completion. We are now looking for the person who turns what customers actually need into what our AI actually does. Joining Legartis is not taking a job, you take ownership. We are a team of product builders and lawyers, who do not chase hype; we build substance. If you are a lawyer who builds, someone who has stopped waiting for better tools and started making them, this is your moment and your place. Send us your CV, a short note on why Legartis, and links to anything you have built or published. Your mission Most companies split this seat across three teams, and that split is exactly the problem. The person who hears the customer describe their workflow should be the person who writes the requirement, and the person who writes the requirement should be able to build the first version themselves. That is you. 1. You translate customer reality into engineering requirements — and into revenue. You sit in customer and expert calls alongside Sales, not as a note-taker but as the person who understands the legal work. In trials and hackathons you coach hands-on: the customer drives, you navigate, and they create the first "wow" moment themselves. When they say "that won't work for us" or "we'll build it ourselves", you answer with a concrete path (a workaround, a workflow, the honest maintenance cost of the alternative) and you leave every conversation with a next step: trial licenses, a hackathon, a scoped rollout. Then you pull out the workflow: what actually happens, in what order, where it breaks, what the customer would pay to never do again. And you write the spec, edge cases, and acceptance criteria that Engineering can build against. 2. You build the skills yourself. You write, test, and ship agent skills and playbooks that solve real customer workflows. You build the evaluation frameworks and test sets that prove they got better rather than just different. When the AI fails on a clause, you diagnose why, at the prompt and context level, and you either fix it or hand Engineering a diagnosis precise enough to act on. 3. You make it repeatable, and therefore sellable. Anything you build once for one customer, you turn into something Sales and Customer Success can run without you. Standard demo environments. A skill library they can reach for. Onboarding that lands in days rather than months. Where Customer Success needs legal depth you step in, fix it, and turn the fix into something the team can handle alone next time. Your success is measured by how rarely you need to be in the room, and by what happens to adoption and expansion when you are not. 4. You are the legal authority in the building. Legal and compliance questions land with you: contract reviews, customer security and data protection questions, the occasional in-house matter which makes roughly ten to fifteen percent of your time. You use our own product to do it, and you tell us honestly when it is not good enough. Your profile The person we picture. There is a name emerging for what we are describing, and it is not "lawyer who is good with computers". It is legal quant : a lawyer who builds their own tooling to practise law, rather than waiting for a vendor to ship it. The distinction that matters to us: plenty of lawyers now use AI. A legal quant builds with it. They look at a workflow and ask how to redesign it from first principles to get the best possible outcome, rather than making the existing process incrementally faster. A note on how we are weighting this role. Three capabilities make someone exceptional here: commercial instinct, legal depth, and technical ability to build. The ideal candidate has all three. We know that person is rare, and we are not going to pretend otherwise by writing a wish list and hoping. So for this role we weight the technical evidence most heavily, because it is the hardest of the three to teach on the job. If you believe you genuinely combine all three, we want to talk to you regardless of how neatly your CV matches the bullets below. Say so in your note and tell us what you have built and what you have sold. 1. Technical track record. You have built things and they exist and ideally you have published some of it. You are fluent with LLMs the way a practitioner is fluent, not a spectator: you know how context windows fail you or why a prompt stopped working. When something breaks you go into the system rather than around it. Scripting, Git, and APIs are a strong plus. 2. Legal foundation. A law degree with a commercial-contracts focus: German-qualified (Bachelor, Master, or Staatsexamen) or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction. No bar admission required, no second Staatsexamen required. What we need: you have worked hands-on with German commercial contracts, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating them, and you can hold a conversation with a General Counsel as a peer. 3. Commercial and entrepreneurial track record. You have carried commercial responsibility for something of your own: a freelance client base, a legal tech product, or a company you started. You know what it takes to win a client from a standing start and why "they did not understand the value" is never the customer's fault. If instead you have supported enterprise sales teams in demos, pilots, and expert calls, tell us what you changed about the outcome. You prioritise by impact, you are comfortable deciding without permission, and you would rather ship something imperfect this week than something elegant next quarter. 4. Language. Excellent German and English. German is non-negotiable: our customers are DACH legal teams and the nuance lives in their language. You can run a room of legal buyers, ask the sharp question, and write a specification precise enough to build from. Other EU languages are a plus. Why us? Impact over hype. You define a new discipline at the intersection of law, product, and AI. Your work directly shapes how thousands of legal professionals will operate. No silos. You sit between Product, Engineering, and the customer, with a direct line to all three. The better argument wins, not the higher title. We invest in you. The enterprise motion (multi-stakeholder pilots, procurement cycles, security reviews) is teachable, and we teach it: side by side in real customer calls from week one. Real ownership. Competitive salary and employee stock options (ESOP). Build in public. We want you to keep publishing what you build, because it makes you better and it makes us visible. Offices in Berlin, Leipzig, and Zurich with a flexible hybrid setup. Regular apéros, lunches, and hiking trips as we enjoy the journey together. Process Expectations. A conversation with the People Manager about the role and who you are. Depth. A conversation with our General Counsel & Head of Legal AI on Legal Engineering at Legartis and where the legal market is going. Build session. A live case at the intersection of legal reasoning, prompting, and product work: a real customer scenario, a legal AI workflow, or a playbook that misbehaves. Meet the team in Leipzig or Berlin. A mutual decision, before we welcome you to the team. Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

What we are building ecoplanet gives industrial companies the kind of energy management a corporate energy department would provide, without needing one of their own. We work with German Mittelstand manufacturers in plastics, metals, and food production, helping them see where their energy goes, catch problems when they happen, and act on what they find. Our platform covers meter data, consumption monitoring, efficiency analysis, compliance, and energy procurement. We're a Series A company backed by EQT Ventures and HV Capital. Why This Role Matters You'll be the designer on our Energy Insights team. The team owns our core entry product: 24/7 consumption monitoring, alerting, and the insights that turn load profiles into decisions a customer can act on. Your work covers the whole customer journey, from onboarding and labelling a customer's meters, to surfacing findings they can trust, to making sure they come back regularly. You'll be the only designer on this team, working directly with a PM, engineers, and our customer success team. Much of the work is improving and reshaping features we already have, so you'll be making existing things clearer and more useful as well as designing new ones. What You'll Achieve Own design for the Energy Insights product end to end: research, flows, interaction design, and polished UI Redesign existing features, such as the customer cockpit, monitoring views, alerts, and findings, so energy managers can go from "something's off" to "here's what to do" quickly Design data-dense interfaces (load profiles, consumption breakdowns, anomalies) that stay readable for people who aren't data analysts Shape onboarding and labelling flows that help customers describe their meters and production so our insights improve over time Design internal tools for our customer success and onboarding teams. They're users too. Talk to customers regularly and turn what you learn into design decisions Help build and maintain a pragmatic design system that fits how we ship What Sets You Up for Success Must have: B2B product design experience — you've designed complex software for professional users, not only consumer apps A portfolio showing data-heavy, workflow-driven product work, and the reasoning behind it Comfort working as a solo designer: you set your own process, make calls without waiting for sign-off, and know when "good enough to learn from" beats "perfect" An early-stage mindset — priorities shift as we learn, and you treat ambiguity as something to work through, not around Strong interaction and visual design skills; fluent in Figma Willingness to talk to users directly and bring evidence into design discussions Clear communication in English; German at a professional working level, since most of our customers operate in German and you'll need to understand their feedback directly Nice to have: Experience with industrial, manufacturing, energy, IoT, or other operational software Familiarity with time-series data, dashboards, or monitoring and alerting products Some front-end understanding — enough to work closely with engineers on feasibility and detail How You'll Grow As the sole designer on a core product team, you'll set the design practice for Energy Insights largely on your own terms — there's no senior designer above you dictating process. You'll work closely enough with customers and engineers to see the direct consequences of your decisions, and as the product and team grow, you'll have the option to shape whether and how a design function scales beyond you. What You Get Real ownership: your designs define how industrial customers experience the product Direct impact on a product that helps companies cut energy waste and costs A small, senior-leaning team with short decision paths and close access to customers Top-of-market team, flat hierarchy — work alongside people who push you to get better Central office, easy commute — free lunch every Tuesday and Thursday Wellpass membership Regular 1:1s and retros focused on your growth Hybrid setup based in our Munich office, with regular in-person days alongside the team The Application Send us your CV and portfolio — we don't do long forms or generic cover letters. Surprise us. Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

Headquarters: -REMOTE, USA- For over 20 years, Smartsheet has empowered teams to manage work seamlessly and scale solutions smarter. Now, in our most ambitious chapter yet, we are uniting human teams with AI agents. By orchestrating the work agents do best, automating manual tasks and uncovering insights at scale, we create the space for people to focus on what truly matters: judgment, creativity, and big thinking. That is magic at work, and it's what we show up for every day. Corporate Systems Engineering builds and operates the software platforms, integrations, and automations that power Smartsheet's core business functions across Finance, Sales/GTM, and People & Culture. Our team owns mission-critical systems and workflows that enable how the company hires, sells, bills, pays, reports, and scales. We operate at the intersection of software engineering, enterprise platforms, and business-critical data, treating internal systems with the same rigor, reliability, and product mindset as customer-facing software. Financial Systems Engineering owns and evolves the technology ecosystem that powers Smartsheet's financial operations and monetization capabilities. The team is responsible for platforms including NetSuite, Coupa, Planful, Stripe, ZoneBilling, Metronome, and supporting technologies such as Avalara, along with the integrations, data, automation, and engineering capabilities that connect these platforms across the enterprise. As Director, Finance Systems & ERP, you will lead the engineering organization responsible for Smartsheet's financial technology ecosystem and define the long-term technical strategy for how these platforms evolve. You will own the architecture, engineering maturity, technical health, and delivery of systems supporting core financial operations, procurement, planning, payments, billing, revenue processes, and emerging monetization models. This is a strategic and highly visible technology leadership role. You will lead major transformation initiatives including ERP modernization, billing transformation, and the evolution toward usage-based and consumption-based monetization. You will represent Corporate Systems in executive steering committees and major transformation programs, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Product Engineering, Sales/GTM, Data, and other technology leaders. You will partner closely with Product Managers across Financial Systems and Billing & Monetization to combine business and product strategy with a forward-looking technical strategy. You will be expected to challenge legacy architectures and operating models, identify opportunities to simplify and automate financial processes, and determine how modern software engineering, enterprise data, automation, and AI can improve how Finance technology operates. You will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Systems and collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leaders across the organization. You Will: Own the technical strategy and long-term architecture for Smartsheet's financial systems ecosystem across ERP, procurement, financial planning, payments, billing, tax, revenue processes, integrations, data, automation, and AI Lead, coach, and develop the Financial Systems Engineering organization responsible for platforms including NetSuite, Coupa, Planful, Stripe, ZoneBilling, Metronome, Avalara, and associated technologies Serve as the senior technology leader for NetSuite and ERP, ensuring the platform and surrounding architecture remain scalable, maintainable, secure, auditable, and aligned with the long-term needs of a complex SaaS business Provide technology leadership for major Finance transformation programs, including ERP reimplementation and modernization, establishing architecture, engineering standards, technical governance, delivery practices, and long-term platform direction Partner with Product Managers for Financial Systems and Billing & Monetization to translate product strategy and business priorities into technical roadmaps, architecture, investment decisions, and executable engineering plans Shape the technology architecture required to support evolving SaaS monetization models, including subscription, multi-year, usage-based, consumption-based, and AI-related pricing and billing models Partner across Product Engineering, Sales/GTM, Finance, and Corporate Systems to ensure pricing and packaging strategies can be represented reliably from quote and entitlement through provisioning, usage, billing, accounting, and revenue processes Establish clear architectural boundaries and systems of record across CRM, product, billing, ERP, payments, tax, planning, and downstream data platforms, reducing ambiguity, duplication, and unnecessary coupling Define the strategy for Finance systems data, including authoritative sources, data models, data contracts, quality, lineage, reconciliation, historical integrity, and reliable consumption by the enterprise data platform Partner closely with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to integrate Financial Systems with the enterprise data lake and ensure Finance data is timely, trustworthy, well-defined, and usable for financial reporting, operational analytics, reconciliation, and AI Drive stronger data quality and observability across Quote-to-Cash and Finance workflows, moving the organization from reactive reconciliation toward proactive detection and prevention of data integrity issues Establish an AI strategy for Financial Systems Engineering, identifying practical opportunities to improve engineering productivity, financial operations, controls, testing, support, reconciliation, and employee experiences Evaluate and introduce AI-assisted and agentic capabilities where appropriate, while ensuring financial integrity, security, auditability, human oversight, and appropriate controls for higher-risk processes Develop a strategy for automated testing and quality engineering across the Finance technology stack, including regression testing, integration testing, data validation, reconciliation, and AI-assisted test generation and analysis Establish modern engineering practices across enterprise platforms, including source control, peer review, CI/CD, environment management, automated testing, observability, documentation, release engineering, and operational readiness where supported by the underlying technologies Determine appropriate boundaries between native SaaS configuration, platform extensibility, APIs, integrations, automation, and custom software, avoiding unnecessary customization while enabling capabilities the business requires Partner with Integration Engineering to ensure critical Finance and Quote-to-Cash integrations use scalable patterns, explicit contracts, appropriate observability, resilient error handling, and well-defined operational ownership Own the technical health and lifecycle of the Financial Systems portfolio, proactively addressing architectural debt, platform limitations, fragile integrations, unnecessary customization, manual processes, and recurring operational problems Establish architecture reviews, technical standards, engineering metrics, platform health reviews, and other mechanisms that continuously improve the maturity of Financial Systems Engineering Represent Financial Systems Engineering on executive steering committees, transformation governance forums, and major program reviews, clearly communicating architecture decisions, delivery status, risks, dependencies, investment needs, and tradeoffs Provide technical leadership across implementation partners and strategic vendors, ensuring system integrators and software providers operate within Smartsheet's architecture, engineering, security, and delivery expectations rather than allowing vendors to define the long-term architecture Partner with Finance leadership, Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Tax, Revenue, and other stakeholders to understand business strategy while maintaining clear technology ownership of architecture and engineering decisions Balance delivery of major transformation programs with operational reliability, roadmap commitments, technical debt reduction, platform modernization, security, controls, and long-term engineering investments solely managing enterprise application delivery, configuration, implementation partners, or support Experience designing or evolving enterprise data architecture, including systems of record, data models, interfaces, contracts, quality, reconciliation, governance, lineage, and downstream consumption Experience partnering with enterprise Data Engineering or Analytics organizations and integrating operational systems with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data technologies Experience establishing modern engineering practices within enterprise application
