Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail Store Manager to lead our store operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, motivate your team, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your leadership will drive sales growth, maintain operational excellence, and foster a welcoming environment that reflects our brand?s commitment to service and community engagement. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all store functions, including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and staff scheduling. Recruit, interview, and train team members to build a high-performing, motivated workforce dedicated to delivering outstanding service. Manage payroll processing, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping with accuracy and attention to detail. Oversee merchandising strategies to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotional displays that attract customers and boost sales. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, returns, and inventory tracking while ensuring cash handling procedures are followed meticulously. Implement marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts to increase store visibility and customer engagement. Maintain excellent communication with staff through effective training & development programs while fostering a positive team environment. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and organizational skills to resolve issues promptly. Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with safety standards, cleanliness, and operational policies. Experience Proven supervising experience in retail management or a related field demonstrating leadership capabilities. Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques. Familiarity with POS systems, bookkeeping practices, payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative tasks. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to recruit and interview potential team members effectively. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills for training staff, marketing initiatives, and customer interactions. Promotes special events such as adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, charity events, etc. Ensures a safe environment for our associates, pets, and pet parents. Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed. Assists and works in various areas throughout the store (including services) as required. Other duties may be assigned. Participates in our culture of Belonging and Recognition. Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Maintains total store cleanliness standards. Supports the store with weekly price changes and monthly promotional pricing. Stages and sorts new products to match sales floor planners. Faces, fills, and recovers products to meet sales floor standards. Recommends, informs, and sells merchandise, services, and live pets. Administers store-owned pet medications as directed by a veterinarian. Promotes special events such as adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, charity events, etc. Ensures a safe environment for our associates, pets, and pet parents. Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed. Assists and works in various areas throughout the store (including services) as required. Other duties may be assigned. Participates in our culture of Belonging and Recognition. Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.Essential physical demands and work environment Associate required to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and use hands to handle, feel, hold, write, etc. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
