Strategic Account Executive - EU
Full TimeOn-siteExecutive

Strategic Account Executive, DACH (Paris or London) About Maki Maki is the worlds #1 AI Hiring tool and helps the world's largest companies hire the best people, fast. Nespresso, H&M, Deloitte and other global enterprises use Maki to screen, assess and amplify candidate engagement. Recruiters waste less time, candidates get a better experience, and companies get the best talent, that actually stay. Customers have cut time to hire by up to 45% and a large portion of our business comes from references directly in from customers, the same customers who rank Maki a High Performer 4.7 out of 5 on G2. Why now Enterprises cannot hire fast enough, and AI has made it worse: application volumes are higher than ever, and CVs tell you less. HR has been one of the slowest functions to adopt AI, and now it is pushing hard. Talent leaders know their legacy process hurts candidates, cost and revenue. A store that runs short of staff loses sales every hour it is short. Maki solves that. Maki is at an inflection point. Partners and customers recognise the quality of what we build. Now is the time where Maki goes global to meet the demand the market is putting on us. The role You build the strategy that lands the largest enterprise logos in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and build them into multi-year high growth accounts. You partner with a pod that comprises of a BDR, a forward deployed engineer and a customer success account manager. You bring the buyer a point of view, build the business case with them, and leave every signature with an account plan to grow the account for years. If you want large inbound enterprises that are ready to work with an expert, strategic rep, this is for you. If you want the chance to earn the most you ever have in your sales career, this is for you. What you will do • Run complex enterprise sales cycles across the DACH region, from first call to signature. • Build an account plan and point of view for every key account: the shift it needs to make, what waiting costs, and why Maki above all others in the crowded HR tech space. • Build business cases with the buyer, in the buyer's numbers, that makes them look like experts internally and a no-brainer to partner with Maki. • Lead complex negotiation processes with EB's, procurement, works councils and legal, trading value rather than giving it away. • Land where the customer is ready, and frame the full expansion before signature: entire platform, future use cases, forward thinking commercials. • After landing business, work with your pod to build out a strategic account plan that maximizes growth in the account for years to come. • Be AI first and be able to use AI every day to research, prepare and scale how you work. What you bring • Minimum 6+ years in sales, including 3+ years selling to enterprises in the DACH region. • Fluent German and professional English. • A strategic sales background: you have landed large logos and worked with many stakeholders at once. • Numerous closed six-figure deals you can walk us through in detail. • Points of view and business cases that executives acted on. • You use AI tools in your daily sales work. How we work We are an early team, during these early days these are the traits we demand in every single person: • Grit: you go big on accounts and keep going when a deal gets hard. • Candor: you give direct feedback, you want it back, and you act on it. • Curiosity: you crave learning and you want to build. • Ambition: you are ambitious about your own potential and the power of what Maki can do. What we offer • A competitive compensation that leads the market • Inbound and outbound enterprise demand, and a pod partner with to scale it. • Equity • The best Sales and AI tools • Based in our Paris office, with travel across Germany, Austria and Switzerland Our process • A short interview on Mochi, our AI interviewer, so you try the product yourself. It assess you for various skills and gives you a chance to ask questions. • A 30 minute call about what you are looking for, your background and how we work. • A 30 minute deal review with our VP of Sales. Bring one large strategic deal that you led and closed in the last 12 months. No slides. Be prepared to walk through the deal in detail. • An assignment: build a point of view on an enterprise account we choose, run a live discovery call with us, and show us how you used AI to prepare. • References. • Offer. (NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion. Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You'll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. This is a consultative, new business sales role where you'll have the opportunity to manage your own territory, develop your pipeline and work closely with restaurants to understand their challenges and offer solutions that make a genuine difference. 🏡 The role is remote, with up to 60% domestic travel, giving you plenty of opportunities to get out into the market, meet restaurant owners and build relationships face to face. 🎯 What You'll Be Doing... Own and develop your territory, covering East and South East London, identifying new business opportunities and building a strong pipeline of prospective restaurant partners. Proactively reach out to restaurants through outbound prospecting, networking and relationship building to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets. Take the time to understand each restaurant's business, challenges and goals, positioning OpenTable as a valuable long-term partner. Confidence in outbound prospecting, building relationships and engaging with senior decision-makers. Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, alongside Google Workspace. Someone who is comfortable working independently, managing their own time and travelling regularly within their territory. ✨ Bonus points if you also have... Experience working within hospitality, restaurant management, food and beverage or hospitality technology. A degree or equivalent practical experience. A consultative approach to sales, with strong discovery, negotiation and relationship-building skills. The ability to use data and insights to build compelling business cases and demonstrate value to customers. A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the confidence to challenge customers' thinking and offer new perspectives. A collaborative attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in the hospitality industry. What we can offer you... Paid parental leave Time off for your birthday Paid volunteer time Focus on your career growth: Development Dollars Leadership development Access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings Travel Discounts Employee Resource Groups Income protection and life assurance Employee Assistance Program - including 24/7 GP & free legal advice Pension plan contributions Discounted gym membership Bike2Work Season ticket loan Social events & Thursday happy hours Free lunch 2 days per week The best connections happen face-to-face, whether you're sitting down to dinner or having coffee with a coworker. That's why OpenTable has adopted a hybrid workplace model. This role aligns with that approach, with an expectation of coming into the office two days a week—giving employees the best of both worlds: in-person collaboration and flexibility. Work Environment & Flexibility At OpenTable, we pride ourselves on fostering a global and dynamic work environment. As a team member with us, you will benefit from a schedule tailored to accommodate a global workforce operating across multiple time zones. While the majority of your responsibilities may align with conventional business hours, there will be instances where you are expected to manage communications - via calls, Slack messages, or emails - outside of regular working hours to effectively collaborate with international colleagues, respond to restaurant partners, and/or address urgent matters. OpenTable will always abide by and consider local laws and regulations. Inclusion We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. We know the best ideas come when we bring different voices to the table, so we're building a team as dynamic as the diners and restaurants we serve—and fostering a culture where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.
