manufacturingarchitectureresearch

Full-time · On-site (Paris Marseille) The sea is the physical layer of the economy—the conduit for our energy, communications, and trade. It is also Europe's exposed flank. Pelagon is building the answer. Founded by Aymeric (serial deeptech entrepreneur; founded & exited Scortex, Leading AI solution for manufacturing quality) and Gauthier (Navy officer and McKinsey), Pelagon is building a foundational multimodal acoustic model for autonomous maritime protection (underwater and surface) in service of European sovereignty. It will be deployed on a distributed, autonomous network of vectors (UUVs, buoys, sailbuoys, seabed…) to provide real-time understanding of underwater threats. France and Europe have world-class acoustic engineers and a long history in underwater warfare. By bridging this expertise with modern physical-AI strategies (as seen in autonomous driving and robotics). Europe is still missing it's naval NeoPrime, Pelagon aims to become to lead the way in autonomous marine protection—from detection to interception—partnering with leading navies, primes, and neo-primes, while also operating its own fleet as a service. Pelagon is backed by Hexa , the pioneer startup studio in Europe, which has launched 35+ companies, including unicorns like Front, Aircall, and Spendesk, combining €230m+ ARR and €750m raised. Why this matters The sea is the physical layer of the economy — and Europe's most exposed flank. Submarines, drones and threats move through it unseen because the ocean is opaque by default. Pelagon exists to change that: to give Europe a real-time, sovereign understanding of what moves beneath the surface, from detection to interception. At the core of that mission is a maritime foundational perception model — Pelagon's equivalent of the perception stack that made autonomous driving possible, but for the underwater domain. As an AI Engineer, you own the models at the heart of it, from research to deployment on a distributed, autonomous fleet of UUVs, buoys, sailbuoys and seabed sensors. What you'll do Design, train and ship state-of-the-art multimodal and acoustic models for underwater detection, classification and localization. Build the training pipeline end to end: self-supervised pre-training on large unlabeled acoustic corpora, then fine-tuning for specific threats. Fuse acoustic, kinematic and other sensor modalities into a single representation that holds up in low-SNR, real-world conditions. Shape Pelagon's data strategy — how we capture, curate and compound proprietary data from our own fleet into a durable advantage. Distill and optimize models to run on the edge: compute- and power-constrained hardware aboard autonomous vectors at sea. Close the loop with sea trials — turn field data and failure cases into the next iteration. What we look for Strong track record training models deployed in production, ideally on audio, signal, time-series or other non-image modalities. A physical-AI mindset: you've worked where models meet messy sensor data and real hardware, not just clean benchmarks. Instinct for data strategy — you treat the data flywheel as a core part of the model, not an afterthought. Confortable across the ML stack: data, architecture, training, evaluation and deployment. Bias for shipping; you measure success by what works at sea. Bonus: background in signal processing, or experience in defense, maritime, robotics or autonomous driving. Why join now Founding ownership. You'll be one of the first engineers and will define the technical foundation of the company. Meaningful equity comes with that. A mission with weight. This is hardware that protects critical infrastructure and Europe's maritime space. Real things, in the real ocean, fast. You'll see your work in the water within weeks, not years. AI-first, at the edge, in the real world. We train our own models and run them where it counts: in the water, on the device. You'll be solving the edge-ML and power problems most companies only talk about. A sovereign, European deeptech at the inflection point of a market with strong NATO and EU policy momentum behind it. Senior Project Manager
CogniteRemote (Fully Remote)6 days ago
Full TimeFully RemoteSenior
gophoenixagilemanufacturingprototyping

What Cognite is: Relentless to achieve Cognite operates at the forefront of industrial digitalization, building AI , and data solutions that solve the world's hardest, highest-impact problems. With unmatched industrial heritage and a comprehensive suite of AI capabilities, including low-code AI agents, Cognite accelerates the digital transformation to drive operational improvements. We thrive in challenges. We challenge assumptions. We execute with speed and ownership. If you view obstacles as signals to step forward - not backwards - you'll feel right at home here. Our Moonshot is bold: Unlock $100B in customer value by 2035, and redefine how global industry works. Join us in this venture where AI and data meet ingenuity, and together, we will forge the path to a smarter, more connected industrial future. About the Role As a Deployment Strategist, you are the owner of the customer's problem and the value we promise to deliver. You are the bridge between a customer's business objective and our technical delivery team, accountable for the "why" and the "what", while Solution Architects and Data Engineers own the "how". You will work with senior customer stakeholders to scope value, define pilots and releases, steer delivery through to go-live, and drive adoption so that value is actually realized after launch. You combine the discipline of a program manager with the product thinking of a field product owner, and you are as comfortable in a steering committee as you are in a working session with plant engineers. This is a hands-on role. You are expected to shape the engagement, not just report on it. What You'll Do Scope and define value Partner with Revenue to run discovery, map stakeholders, and translate business problems into a clearly scoped engagement (outcomes, MVP, success criteria, timeline, commercial boundaries). Build value cases and success metrics with the customer, and keep them visible throughout delivery. Define what "done" and "valuable" mean for each release, and manage scope against them. Own delivery outcomes Lead engagements end to end, from kickoff through go-live, using an iterative, continuous-delivery approach. Prioritize the backlog with the customer and the delivery team, and make trade-off decisions on scope, timeline, and quality. Manage risk, dependencies, and escalations across customer, partner, and internal teams, and unblock technical and political issues early. Own delivery health: plan, margin, forecast, resourcing needs, and status reporting. Drive adoption and value realization Own the path from go-live to measurable usage: adoption plans, enablement and training, user feedback loops, and health indicators. Identify blockers to adoption and expansion signals early, and act on them with the account team. Prepare a clean handoff to the long-term run and support model. Lead with partners and the team Coordinate delivery with system integrator and partner teams, and protect clear accountability and contract boundaries. Guide Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in the engagement, and coach junior colleagues. Contribute to the Value Delivery playbook: lessons learned, reusable templates, and delivery standards. Feed the product Turn field insight into structured product feedback for Product and Engineering. Use AI tooling in your own work (analysis, documentation, reporting, prototyping) and help the team raise its standard. What You Bring Must have 5+ years of experience in customer-facing delivery, program management or technical advisory for enterprise software or data/AI platforms. A track record of owning complex, ambiguous engagements through to measurable customer outcomes. Comfort with technical subject matter (data platforms, integration, cloud, analytics, or AI/ML). You do not need to build the solution, but you must understand it well enough to scope it and challenge it. Executive-level communication: you can present, negotiate, and make decisions with senior customer stakeholders and with delivery engineers on the same day. Strong command of agile and iterative delivery, backlog prioritisation, and scope management. Fluent English and ideally French Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 50%. Nice to have Experience in industrial sectors (energy, oil and gas, chemicals, pharma, manufacturing, utilities). Your Role We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d) at LIQID, who will play a pivotal role in building and scaling data infrastructure that powers decision-making. You will design scalable, high-performance data pipelines, ensure data integrity, and drive efficient data processing across the organization. Working closely with our Head of Data, Analytics Engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will develop robust data architectures, enhance data security, and implement best practices that empower data-driven decision-making at scale. This is not a role where you preserve what already exists. It is a role where you build what comes next. As LIQID scales beyond €4 billion in assets under management, the demands on our data infrastructure are growing fast. You will have real ownership over how we meet that challenge, with the autonomy to propose solutions and the backing to ship them. What will keep you challenged? Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and storage solutions that ensure efficient, secure, and reliable data processing from source systems to our data warehouse Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless ingestion, transformation, and availability Implement and enforce data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to guarantee accuracy and integrity for analytics and operational use cases Ensure data security and compliance by applying best practices and industry standards for handling sensitive information Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and engineers to understand data needs and deliver solutions that unlock new insights Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve scalability, performance, and future-proof LIQID's data infrastructure What you bring Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar data related role Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and ETL/ELT frameworks, with experience in data modelling, warehousing, and database management (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL) Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and modern data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt) Solid understanding of data modelling principles to meet data governance, security, and compliance best practices and ensure safe and scalable data operations FinTech experience is a plus, but a strong interest in financial services and data-driven decision-making is essential Experience using AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to speed up development and integrating them into standard workflows (code review, CI/CD), with the judgment to verify output, not just ship it. Experience with data quality testing frameworks or rules-as-code approaches (e.g. dbt tests, Great Expectations) to catch issues before they hit production. Experience with streaming/near-real-time pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar) is a plus. Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German is a plus What we offer Diversity : Flat hierarchies and cultural openness make you an integral part of our diverse team of international talents from day one. Flexibility : We don't complicate your life. You'll find the right balance with flexible work models, working hours, and remote work options. 28 days of vacation and two additional days off on December 24 and 31 ensure you have ample time to unwind. Appreciation : You'll help shape the future of digital wealth management with us in an innovative, multi-award-winning company on a growth trajectory, with high market relevance and plenty of space for your ideas. Development : We support your personal and professional growth with an annual development budget of €1,500. Additionally, at the start of your tenure at LIQID, you'll receive high-quality equipment, including a MacBook, headphones, and a display. Smart Money : As a LIQIDian, you'll enjoy attractive terms for our investment strategies, a monthly lunch allowance, and exclusive discounts with various providers.
