At a Glance Location: Cambridge In-office expectation: Flexible hybrid, one to two days per week in office. Employment type: Permanent Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 Why this role exists: To give our Technology and Product teams a genuine strategic partner who shapes and owns the people strategy behind their goals, not someone who just runs HR process. About Redgate Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases their organisations depend on, a space that's only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates. AI at Redgate By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert-plus-agent company: domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can't match. AI handles the heavy lifting, our people control the judgement. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one. Why Join Our People Team ● There's genuine room to bring your own ideas to the wider People Partner team: templates, calibration frameworks, how a restructure gets structured, and shape those alongside your peers rather than working them out alone in your own corner. ● We're growing, and a lot of the people strategy isn't fixed yet. You'll have a real say in shaping it, not just delivering against decisions someone else already made. ● You'll support Technology and Product, in a way that fits how we do things at Redgate. About the Role This isn't a role about running HR process. You'll operate as a genuine strategic partner to the Technology and Product leadership teams, helping shape, own, and deliver the people strategy that drives their goals and, in turn, Redgate's wider goals. You'll sit inside the leadership team's regular rhythm, seeing the roadmap and trade-offs early enough to shape them, not just react once there's a people problem Full ownership of the people strategy for Technology and Product: headcount plan, org design, succession, and retention, agreed directly with the functional exec Real thought leadership beyond your own patch: spot patterns across functions (promotion criteria that don't hold up, gaps in how senior hires are onboarded) and bring them to the wider People Partner team Coach and challenge leaders directly, including pushing back on a VP or exec when the data or your judgement says they've got it wrong Find practical ways to bring AI into how the function and the People Partner team work, not as a bolt-on What Makes You a Great Fit Solid experience as a strategic People Partner or HR Business Partner in a high-growth or fast-changing business, ideally tech or SaaS, partnering directly with product or engineering leadership A commercial mindset: able to connect the business issue behind a people problem and the people issue behind a business problem, with a track record of turning that into commercial outcomes Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and make decisions stick without relying on formal authority Confident using people metrics (attrition, engagement, hiring velocity, time to fill) to diagnose what's really going on, not just report on it Evidence of shaping how a People team works, not just delivering inside your own area, for example building a framework or fixing a broken process What We Offer ● Salary range: £60,000 - £70,000 ● Hybrid working: home and Cambridge office ● Monthly wellbeing allowance and generous paid time off ● Genuine investment in learning, development, and career progression ● Private health insurance Link to full benefits page here What Happens Next? ● Your application will be reviewed by a person. We don't use AI or automated tools to assess applications, and every profile is read by one of our Talent Partners. ● You'll hear back within a few days. Whether it's a next step or a no, we aim to respond promptly so you're not left wondering. ● Our interview process is straightforward and consistent. You'll find more detail on our typical hiring process below, so you know what's coming and why. Who are we? Recare is one of the leading digital startups in the German healthcare industry and has set itself the task of rethinking healthcare with a platform for digital care coordination. We search, find and coordinate capacities so that the healthcare actors have more time for their patients. Within a very short time, Recare was able to gather around 75 percent of German acute hospitals as well as more than 26,000 care and rehabilitation facilities on its digital platform. Renowned hospitals and hospital groups such as Vivantes, Sana Kliniken AG, München Klinik, Hannover Medical School and Essen University Hospital are among Recare's customers and use the Recare platform. We believe artificial intelligence will transform healthcare more profoundly than any technology since the internet, and we're building that future today, not tomorrow. While the German healthcare sector has historically focused on the risks of new technologies, we see an unprecedented opportunity to solve the industry's most pressing challenges with AI. With most German acute hospitals now using the Recare platform, we take our leadership responsibility seriously: we're helping clinics achieve what once seemed impossible, from automation of administrative workflows with the Recare AI platform to unlocking billions in value through predictive analytics. The potential is real, the technology is ready, and the time is now. Role & team summary As a senior member of the AI team, you will work on building cutting-edge agentic systems that work reliably in production environments where privacy and correctness are top priorities. This is a hands-on role: you will own key AI initiatives end to end and work across products, since the hardest problems here span more than one team. Our team is small but growing fast; we are highly independent and hold ourselves accountable for the quality of our work. Technical excellence is expected, but our ideal colleague shares our passion for building impactful solutions that make it all the way into production. As one of our most experienced engineers, you will mentor others, help shape our AI technical strategy, and work with product and business stakeholders to turn open questions into clear recommendations. We want to improve society, not just brag about building fancy tech! What you'll work on Agentic applications: Build robust chat and generative AI applications on agentic frameworks, designing and optimizing core agent behavior: routing, tool calls, context management, grounding, and instruction-following. Every output is a draft until a clinician releases it, and the system is built for that. Evaluation: Measure the real value of agentic systems through observability data, custom evaluation metrics, and user feedback, and use those results to improve prompts, models, and system design. GenAI observability: Set up and improve logging, tracing, metrics, dashboards, and prompt management for our AI systems. Deployment and integration: Develop and maintain the infrastructure that ships AI agents into REST APIs and web UIs, including containerization, orchestration, and API development. Safeguarding health data: Embed security best practices and uphold compliance to protect sensitive health information. Technical direction: Track new AI developments, turn the promising ones into production-ready implementations, and help set the direction of our AI work. What we're looking for 8+ years of relevant industry experience, with a strong AI/ML background, at senior level or above. Hands-on experience designing, shipping, and operating LLM-powered products (RAG, agents) in live production. Research projects and prototypes alone aren't enough here; we want to hear about systems real users depended on. If your background is in productionizing traditional ML systems rather than LLMs, we still want to hear from you. Hands-on experience with LLM evaluation, such as golden datasets, LLM-as-a-judge, or offline and online metrics, and with systematically improving prompts and models. Solid deep learning experience applied to real-world problems, with a focus on system-level integration rather than model training alone. Strong coding skills across the stack. Ours includes Python, Go, GitHub Actions, and AWS, and you're comfortable reading and fixing code outside the main codebase. Proficiency in Python and at least one web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask, …). Experience in environments where security and privacy are top priorities, such as PII redaction, LLM guardrails, and GDPR compliance. Experience leading, mentoring, and supporting other engineers. Experience shaping technical direction and making well-reasoned recommendations to product and business stakeholders, especially where strategy is still evolving. Clear communication in English with technical and non-technical people alike, the ability to explain complex topics simply, and a track record of collaborating well across teams. A solution-driven mindset: you analyze problems thoroughly and then drive them to resolution. Nice to have: experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech, ideally including AI products certified as medical devices, and German language skills, since our customers are German-speaking. Not a perfect match on every point? We care more about shared drive and a real sense of mission than about ticking every box. If you want to dedicate yourself to meaningful work alongside a team that feels the same, we'd love to hear from you. What we offer Growth: We invest in each person's development, whether that's taking ownership of new projects, deepening your technical leadership, or exploring new AI approaches. If you grow, we grow. Purposeful work: Your work has a real impact on patients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Company culture: Flat hierarchies, strong team dynamics, and a culture of mutual respect, loyalty, and recognition. Flexibility: Need to pick up your child from daycare or want to exercise at lunch? We support you, with fully remote work, flexible hours, and workations by arrangement. Edenred card to use according to your needs. Your birthday off to celebrate with your loved ones. Location We're a remote team, and the role is fully remote within the European time zone. We're hiring in Germany (including Berlin), Austria, Poland, France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. We're customer obsessed. We put the customer at the heart of everything we do - and we're looking for people who feel the same way. About Bike Club Bike Club is the easiest way to keep kids on the right sized bike. Through our subscription model, we remove the hassle of buying, outgrowing and reselling children's bikes, so families always have the right bike, right when they need it. We are a purpose led, fast-growing business built on ease, care, progress and joy - with a relentless focus on customer growth, retention and building a more circular approach to children's cycling. Role Summary and Engagement Bike Club is looking for a fractional Product Lead to lead the member product, turn customer needs and commercial priorities into a clear direction and a prioritised roadmap, and deliver measurable improvements. The role combines senior Product leadership with practical discovery and delivery coordination in a lean team. The Product Lead will also establish an AI-enabled Product function, using AI to speed up customer insight, discovery, prototyping and experimentation. They will identify where AI and automation can improve the member experience or business efficiency, and turn the strongest opportunities into prioritised, measurable initiatives. This is a part-time fixed-term employment or freelance contract estimated at 3 days per week for a period of 3 months. Key Responsibilities Product direction and roadmap: own the direction and roadmap across the member lifecycle: joining, managing a subscription, ongoing membership, exchange and retention. Balance member value with operational efficiency, cost and business priorities. Discovery: lead discovery with members and colleagues across Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and markets. Use research, behavioural data and service insight to define problems before committing to solutions. Lifecycle and retention: work jointly with Marketing and the retention owner on lifecycle journeys, retention initiatives, experiments and shared measures. Product owns the supporting experience and requirements. Marketing owns campaign and channel execution. Requirements and backlog: turn agreed priorities into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. Maintain one prioritised product backlog, including operational improvements and approved AI or automation initiatives. Investment cases: build proportionate cases for investment, setting out expected benefits, cost, dependencies and how outcomes will be measured. Recommend stopping or deferring work where value is insufficient. Delivery: agree delivery commitments with Engineering using realistic estimates and available capacity. Coordinate stakeholders, adoption and launches with the combined QA and Delivery role, keeping risks and changes visible. Marketing autonomy: support Marketing with appropriate content, landing-page and experimentation capabilities. Agree the boundary between the member product, CRM and support tools. AI in Product work: use AI routinely for research synthesis, analysis, requirements development, prototyping and experiment design, and validate findings against customer evidence. Prioritise valuable applications with Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and the Data and Automation function. Test assumptions and build proportionate business cases. Customer-service automation should support the wider member journey. Share responsibility with Marketing for using AI to support lifecycle insight, proposition testing and retention experiments, with agreed measures of customer and commercial impact. Leave things in a better state: because the engagement is part-time and time-limited, document the roadmap, backlog, ways of working and AI approach so the team can continue without the Product Lead, and hand over clearly at the end.
