Staff Product Manager, Atlas Infinite
Full TimeHybridPrincipal$151,000 - $151,000 / Year
goawsazuregoogle cloudmongodbmental health+10

The Staff Product Manager is an Individual Contributor (IC) product leader responsible for a broad platform surface for Atlas Infinite at MongoDB. Atlas Infinite is the largest architectural innovation in MongoDB Atlas ever, purpose-built to handle today's speed and scale of development and demand.  In this position, you will own and solve end-to-end problems around the user experience and database experience of Atlas Infinite, including but limited to feature discovery, activation, monetization, and retention. You will see patterns, opportunities, and risks across areas, own cross-team product and architectural trade-offs, establish reusable standards for PM craft, and align senior stakeholders around multi-year bets. You have deep knowledge of cloud database platforms, distributed data systems, and enterprise product development. You will partner closely with cross-functional engineering leaders, product peers, and executive stakeholders to drive outcomes across organizational boundaries, guiding a portfolio spanning Atlas Infinite's disaggregated compute and storage architecture, production workload readiness, migration and Atlas interoperability, and the new customer experiences this architecture may make possible. You will not inherit a closed list of future features: part of your mandate is to discover opportunities we have not yet articulated and challenge assumptions about which problems matter most. With AWS public preview now live, you will help turn real workload evidence into a credible path to GA and subsequent releases, in close partnership with the existing team. This role can be based out of a MongoDB office or remotely in the United States. Responsibilities Interlinked Vision & Multi-Year Bets: Set and champion a product vision across Atlas Infinite's capabilities, while actively discovering opportunities that are not on today's roadmap or fit any single team's remit. Explore what decoupled compute and storage could make possible for developers, enterprises, and emerging AI workloads; use hypotheses, customer evidence, prototypes, and market signals to uncover needs we have not yet named. Branching, on-demand compute, and instant recovery are examples of possible bets. Make the case for investment and prioritization, including build-vs-buy considerations, and distinguish exploratory vision from release commitments Cross-Team Execution: Along with program management, own execution health across workstreams, negotiating sequencing, scope, and resource trade-offs with engineering leaders and peer PMs where you have no direct authority. Ensure preview-to-GA readiness, roadmaps, and dependencies across database, storage, Atlas platform, migration, backup, security, and cloud infrastructure teams are aligned and connect to company objectives Execution & Research Standards: Establish lightweight operating practices and shared customer/market research frameworks that make workload qualification, customer-representative testing, win/loss analysis, launch readiness, and post-launch learning consistent across the portfolio. Use data to drive decisions without overburdening delivery teams Product Health: Resolve complex post-launch escalations when the root cause spans architecture, performance, migration, observability, supportability, or unclear ownership. Turn customer and operational signals into systemic product fixes rather than one-off workarounds Customer Discovery: Identify needs and competitive dynamics that cut across product areas. Look beyond requests from today's customers to discover emerging jobs-to-be-done, surprising uses of the architecture, and reasons customers do not choose MongoDB at all. Combine interviews, workload and pricing evidence, product analytics, field feedback, and experiments to test known hypotheses and uncover unknowns; reorient the roadmap when the evidence warrants it Outbound & GTM: Partner with product marketing, pricing, sales, solutions architecture, customer success, documentation, and support on high-stakes customer engagements, product positioning, and omni-channel marketing. Establish ideal customer profile; ensure claims and migration guidance match demonstrated capabilities; translate successful adoption and enablement approaches into shared playbooks Executive Alignment: Synthesize customer experience, technical readiness, adoption, and commercial impact into clear, confident product stories for senior leadership. Surface cross-area risks and progress early, including trade-offs between new-workload growth, customer savings, and changes to existing Atlas usage Mentorship: Mentor PMs across the area, sharing frameworks for cross-team alignment, customer evidence, technical trade-offs, multi-year bets, and leadership communication Qualifications 8+ years of product management or equivalent product leadership experience, with a track record personally shaping strategy and outcomes for complex technical platforms across multiple teams, rather than only coordinating delivery Strong technical fluency in cloud databases, distributed data systems, storage infrastructure, developer experiences, or an adjacent developer platform. Able to reason with engineers about architecture, performance, availability, data movement, and trade-offs without needing to be the system designer A demonstrated ability to discover opportunities beyond the current roadmap: connect technical possibilities to unmet customer needs, formulate and test hypotheses, notice surprising patterns, and change direction when evidence challenges the original thesis Experience taking a complex product from early adoption toward dependable, broader use while protecting space for longer-term innovation; able to make explicit trade-offs among customer trust, technical readiness, speed, and investment Proven ability to influence without authority, negotiating sequencing and resource trade-offs across partner teams with competing priorities Commercial and analytical judgment: able to assess workload-level value, adoption and usage evidence, competitive alternatives, pricing and unit economics, and the impact of a new product on an existing portfolio. Comfortable with build-vs-buy questions where relevant Ability to raise the quality of customer discovery and product decision-making across teams through useful shared methods and mentorship, without mistaking more process for better outcomes Exceptional communication skills: able to explain a technical and commercial thesis, its uncertainties, and the evidence that would change your mind to engineers, customers, executives, and go-to-market partners Success Measures In 3 months you will have built a shared picture of which workloads Atlas Infinite serves well today, where customers struggle, what must be true for broader adoption, and what remains unknown. You will have clarified ownership with peer PMs and engineering, established baseline measures, and identified the highest-value questions to investigate In 6 months you will have influenced consequential roadmap and GA-readiness decisions with customer-representative evidence; articulated a compelling, revisable view of where Infinite can create distinctive customer value beyond GA; and built a learning agenda with clear tests and decision points for both known bets and newly emerging opportunities In 12 months the portfolio will show measurable progress against its established baselines for qualified adoption, customer experience, and readiness for broader workloads. Important bets will have advanced, changed, or been stopped for explicit reasons; cross-team investments will have produced customer value; and the team will be better equipped to recognize and act on opportunities that were not visible at the start of the year About MongoDB MongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market. At MongoDB, we're looking for a technically accomplished Solutions Architect who thrives on solving complex problems, understanding how systems work, and helping customers make better architectural decisions. You'll work with established MongoDB customers running production applications, applying hands-on expertise across databases, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, application architecture, and emerging AI technologies. As part of a globally distributed Solutions Architecture team, you'll engage with customers across multiple EMEA markets rather than being dedicated to a small number of accounts. This regional reach offers exposure to diverse industries, technologies, and architectural challenges, with opportunities to recognize patterns, build trusted technical relationships, and influence decisions across a broad customer landscape. You'll have the autonomy to drive meaningful technical engagements while drawing on the expertise of specialists and colleagues worldwide. We value architects who look beyond the immediate problem, investigate underlying causes, challenge assumptions, and bring informed technical perspectives to customer conversations. You'll help customers optimize what they run today while influencing the architectures and applications they build tomorrow. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model. What You'll Do Optimize Production Architectures: Analyze MongoDB workloads, query execution, indexing, data models, cluster configurations, and resource utilization. Identify performance bottlenecks, scalability constraints, and cost optimization opportunities Engineer for Resilience and Scale: Evaluate distributed architectures, replication, sharding, high availability, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Help customers understand technical trade-offs and design for evolving production requirements Think Beyond the Database: Assess how MongoDB interacts with application services, APIs, networking, security, cloud infrastructure, and adjacent technologies. Identify opportunities to simplify architectures, reduce technical debt, and improve operational efficiency Shape Future-State Architecture: Guide technical discussions around application modernization, cloud-native design, and AI-powered applications. Explore architectural considerations involving Search, Vector Search, RAG, intelligent agents, and their integration with operational data Lead Technical Discovery and Design: Engage developers, architects, and engineering leaders to investigate complex challenges, analyze technical evidence, assess architectural trade-offs, and develop actionable recommendations. Provide hands-on technical investigation and targeted validation to guide decisions, rather than owning ongoing support cases or implementation projects Improve How Customers Build and Operate: Look beyond technology to understand development workflows, operational practices, team capabilities, and architectural ownership. Identify opportunities to improve how applications are developed, deployed, and managed Build Trusted Technical Relationships: Establish credibility through technical expertise, curiosity, and sound judgment. Proactively identify architectural risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions constructively, and collaborate with MongoDB Technical Support, Professional Services, and product specialists when deeper troubleshooting or implementation expertise is required What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related technical roles, including customer-facing technical engagement 2+ years of professional programming or scripting experience using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/ Node.js , C#, C++, or SQL Strong understanding of database technologies, distributed systems, modern application architectures, and high availability Practical experience investigating technical issues, analyzing performance, and evaluating architectural trade-offs Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and application architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Ability to engage confidently with developers, architects, and technical leaders, translating complex technical findings into clear recommendations Intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to independently drive technical engagements Preferred Qualifications Experience with MongoDB, Atlas, NoSQL, or relational database technologies Familiarity with query optimization, indexing, data modeling, replication, and database scaling Exposure to Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, or application modernization Understanding of AI application patterns, Vector Search, RAG, or agentic systems About MongoDB MongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market. Principal Security Engineer

MongoDB's Global Security Organization (GSO) is looking for a Principal Security Engineer. The GSO secures MongoDB's products, infrastructure, and the trust our customers place in us — spanning product security, corporate security, and risk, and working across engineering, go-to-market, and corporate development to keep security moving at the same speed as the business. The Principal Security Engineer will serve as a senior technical anchor for the team. This is a deep individual-contributor role that will stay hands-on with hard security and architecture problems, form sharp independent opinions, and know how to debate, align, and commit once GSO has made a call.   Key topic areas will include collaborating with our product teams to ensure identity and permission models meet customer needs for our new autonomous agent platform and working with integration security teams to push the envelope on automated detection, reproduction, and remediation of security vulnerabilities via AI.  What we need here is depth, judgment, and the ability to build up the bench of senior technical talent around you. This role can be based out of our NYC or Seattle office or remotely in the North America region. Responsibilities Maintain real technical depth in security and in MongoDB's product architecture — compute, network, and storage — deep enough to evaluate actual risk rather than apply generic best practice Form independent, well-reasoned opinions on security and architecture decisions, and voice them even when they cut against consensus or a leader's default plan Push teams to move faster when process or over-engineering is introducing complexity without reducing risk — and push teams to slow down when GTM pressure is outrunning a clear-eyed view of the risk Debate hard, then align, then commit: help the org land on the right call, then execute on it Seed and grow a working community of senior ICs embedded in security operations, product security, and enterprise security — connecting people, sharing knowledge, and creating the venues (formal or informal) for that to happen Lead time-boxed, high-stakes, cross-functional engagements such as M&A security due diligence and partner risk assessments, often with incomplete information and a short runway Draw on your own expertise where it applies, and quickly figure out how to close knowledge gaps elsewhere — staying accountable for the outcome either way Requirements 12+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline, including senior individual-contributor or technical-lead experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Deep, credible technical expertise in security, plus working depth across compute, network, and storage architecture A track record of forming and defending independent technical positions, along with the judgment to know when to stop debating and commit Experience influencing without formal authority, including with management and cross-functional partners, in both directions — accelerating and slowing down decisions Comfort owning ambiguous, deadline-driven work such as M&A diligence or partner risk reviews, and being accountable for the result even without the full picture upfront A genuine interest in mentoring and connecting other senior engineers, without needing a management title to do it Don't feel that you meet all of the requirements? We encourage you to apply anyway — studies show strong candidates sometimes rule themselves out prematurely. MongoDB has a diverse, inclusive, equitable, and high-performing environment, and we want to keep improving our ability to deliver for customers. Nice to Haves Direct experience leading M&A security due diligence or partner/vendor risk assessments Background spanning multiple layers of the stack (e.g., network and storage, or application and infrastructure security) A history of building or growing technical communities of practice Success in This Role Means Leadership trusts your technical judgment on the hardest, most ambiguous calls Your willingness to disagree — in either direction, faster or slower — makes decisions better, not just louder A real community of senior security talent has formed around you in GSO About MongoDB MongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market. We have redefined the data platform for the AI era, enabling builders to create, transform, and disrupt industries with software. About Us At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world's largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. At Cloudflare, we're not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we're looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you're the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you'll fit right in. Available Locations: Austin TX, San Francisco CA, NYC, Atlanta GA OR Denver CO About the role The GTM Intelligence team helps Cloudflare's go-to-market organization make faster, better decisions with trusted data. We work with Sales, Technical Sales, Services, Finance, and our central Data teams to make sure the people who sell, deploy, and support Cloudflare get consistent, reliable answers to the questions that matter most. We're looking for a Senior GTM Analytics Manager to set and execute the vision for how information scales across Cloudflare's technical customer-facing teams. You'll support Pre- and Post-Sales Operations, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, and Professional Services. This role is less about building more dashboards or doing one-off deep dives and more about building the foundations to support true self-serve analytics.  You will focus on single source of truth artifacts, strategic alignment of metrics to actions, and the data models, metric definitions, and context layers that let anyone in these organizations get a trustworthy answer that fits their needs. That person might be an executive, a frontline manager, an engineer in the field, or an AI agent working for any of them. You'll be a technical expert and a strategic partner in one. You'll be as comfortable reviewing a dimensional model with Data Engineering as you are agreeing a metric definition with a VP of Professional Services. And you'll be our go-to voice on how analytics should change now that more and more questions get answered through AI. This is a senior individual contributor role with wide influence and no direct reports. What you'll do Define and drive a multi-year strategy for how Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Solutions Engineering, FDE, and Professional Services find, trust, and use data, including a maturity model and a phased roadmap. Act as a thought leader on scaling information in an AI-first world, working out how semantic layers, governed metrics, and well-built context let AI assistants and agents give accurate, consistent answers grounded in our business. Review the current mix of dashboards, reports, and tools across these teams. Create a plan to consolidate them, retire duplicates, and move toward a single source of truth. Define, document, and carry out the official metrics for the teams you support.  Keep metric definitions aligned with corporate definitions from Finance and Data, and resolve conflicts between teams with clear, defensible logic. Act as the main business and technical partner to the central Data team for the stakeholders you support.  Influence and review the design of data models across systems such as Salesforce, professional services tools, product usage and telemetry, support, and finance. Design how people get answers: self-serve access, natural-language and AI-assisted querying, embedded insights in daily workflows, and curated metric catalogs. Set up a formal intake and governance process for new metric and data requests, including prioritization, ownership, certification, and change management. Build trusted relationships with leaders in Sales, Solutions Engineering, FDE, Professional Services, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, and Data. Explain complex technical and analytical ideas clearly to executives so they can make decisions. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: 8+ years in analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or GTM/Services operations at a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology company. Direct experience supporting at least one of the following: Pre- or Post-Sales Operations, Solutions/Sales Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Professional Services, or Customer Success. You understand how these teams work, how they're measured, and how their data is created. Deep data modeling expertise, including dimensional modeling, entity design, and metric layer design. You can review and challenge a data model, not just consume one. Expert SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as BigQuery, dbt, or a semantic/metrics layer (for example dbt Semantic Layer, LookML, or Cube). Strong working knowledge of GTM and services systems data, such as Salesforce, professional services automation tools, and product usage or telemetry data. A clear, informed view on how AI changes analytics, including semantic layers, retrieval and context design for LLMs, text-to-SQL, and agent-based access to governed data, plus the data foundations those need to be accurate. A track record of defining and rolling out source-of-truth metrics across multiple stakeholder groups, including handling disagreements over definitions. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs without formal authority, and to influence executives and engineers alike. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including turning ambiguous business questions into precise technical requirements and back again. BA/BS in a quantitative, technical, or business field. A Master's in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or an MBA is a plus.   Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
