We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn't like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That's why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want! Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail's Canada's Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada's Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we've come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we've just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers . The team: We're building the financial backbone for field service businesses. Our Fintech team is one of the most strategically important and fastest growing parts of Jobber. We help businesses get paid, access capital, understand their financial health, and ultimately stay in business longer. The future of financial services is embedded, and we're still early. Small businesses increasingly rely on vertical SaaS platforms like Jobber not just to run their operations, but to manage their money. Payments is the foundation of everything we do in Fintech, and how we go to market with our Get Paid products (invoicing, payments, instant payouts, etc) is the single biggest lever we have to grow the business. This role will own how Jobber's payments business grows. Think of this as running the commercial side of a payments business inside a SaaS company. The role: Reporting into the VP & GM, Payments and Fintech you will establish Payments GTM Operations as a new function at Jobber. You will bring together every team that touches payments go-to-market (Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Customer Support, Risk, Operations, Analytics, Product Development) and build the programs, processes, and measurement that turn these teams into a coordinated growth engine. The job has two objectives: help more customers discover and get value from Jobber's payments products, and accelerate revenue growth for the business. Day to day, the Payments GTM Operations and Strategy Lead will identify opportunities, design programs, and run experiments to drive adoption and usage of Jobber's payments products. This will include: Mapping and rebuilding the end-to-end customer journey for payments, from first touch through activation and ongoing usage, working closely with cross-functional partners. This includes identifying where customer-facing teams (sales, post-sales, support) can change their motions to drive better outcomes. Experimenting with a range of actions (e.g. incentives) to drive payments adoption and usage, rapidly iterating based on results. Defining the metrics that matter for payments GTM and holding yourself (and cross-functional partners) accountable to them. Building deep working relationships across GTM teams, Product, RevOps, Analytics, etc. You are the connective tissue between these teams on payments GTM. Using data and qualitative insights to find opportunities, size them, run experiments, and measure results. Staying close to what other vertical SaaS and embedded payments players are doing. Knowing where Jobber can differentiate. To be successful, you should have: Operating and strategy experience, ideally a mix of both: Operating experience: you have experience identifying opportunities, mobilizing teams, and driving measurable results. Could be Revenue Operations, GTM Operations, Strategy & Operations, Product Commercialization, or a GM/Founder role, ideally at a scaling SaaS or Fintech company. Strategy experience (valued): you have been a strategic partner to senior leaders, making data-driven recommendations. Examples could be Management Consulting, VC, or Strategy & Operations. Deep understanding of payments and financial services business models, metrics, and growth strategies is desirable, particularly financial services for small businesses. Strong data instincts. You use analytics to measure impact, make decisions, and optimize performance. You are not just comfortable with data, you reach for it first. Experience using languages such as SQL to manipulate large data sets is a plus, but not required. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across GTM teams, Product, Executive Leadership, etc. You translate data into stories and strategies into action plans. Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable operational processes that enhance efficiency and ultimately drive growth. Passion for helping small businesses succeed through innovative financial solutions. A curious mind and a growth mindset. You are a scrappy learner who can quickly become an expert and build new capabilities. A proactive drive to solve problems. You are capable of bringing structure to ambiguous problems, corralling resources, and delivering results. A preference for working in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment. We're growing fast and things are changing every day. Join us on our mission to empower confident, fraud-free commerce by helping online retailers provide superior customer experiences and eliminate fraud. Learn about our company values here ! Role Overview Signifyd uses the latest in AI and machine learning technology to give our ecommerce customers the confidence they need to do business free from fears of fraud and other forms of ecommerce abuse. In order to do this we have to continually innovate and nowhere is this more important than in our modeling space. The modeling group creates, deploys and runs the models and services that keep us a step ahead and right now we need an engineering manager to help us build our next generation technology. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers who will partner with our AI group and engineering as a whole to help bring ideas from conception to production, while ensuring the systems we already have continue to run smoothly. It's a role for someone who can operate comfortably on both sides of the technical/business line, contributing to technical discussions but people-focused enough to build the relationships between engineering, our AI lab, product and our risk management organization. You will work daily with data scientists, machine learning engineers, product owners and other cross-functional stakeholders whose work depends on your team's systems. Success means being a trusted translator and partner across all of these groups, not just a manager of your own team's output. Your core responsibilities are delivery, fostering innovation and people leadership. How hands-on you get as part of that is up to you but you will be expected to drive closure on technical decisions and implementation. Key Responsibilities (outcome and accountability) 1. Team Leadership & Growth Manage, coach and grow a team of engineers, providing regular feedback, career development while ensuring performance remains high. Build a healthy team culture with clear ownership, sustainable pace and high standards for quality and craftsmanship. Recruit and onboard new engineers as needed and develop technical leadership within the team. 2. Stakeholder & Relationship Management Manage competing priorities and expectations across multiple stakeholder groups, building trust through fostering mutual understanding, delivering consistently and communicating transparently. Represent the team's roadmap, capacity and risks in cross-functional planning and prioritization discussions. 3. Technical Engagement & Decision-Making Drive technical discussions and design reviews, with enough depth to understand the implications of key decisions on reliability, scalability and production outcomes. Partner with engineers on architecture and design choices, asking the right questions rather than dictating solutions. Ensure the team's technical decisions are well understood by, and defensible to, other stakeholders. 4. AI-Enabled Ways of Working Model and champion effective use of AI tools across the team's day-to-day work, including AI-assisted research, administrative workflows, and code generation. Help the team develop good judgment about how to balance the productivity gains AI can bring against the risks it introduces. Continuously look for ways AI tooling can improve team efficiency, code quality, and decision-making, and share what's working with peers. Manage effectively through the major changes AI is bringing to the industry. 5. Delivery & Operational Rigor Own delivery of the team's roadmap balancing feature work, technical debt and reliability commitments. Establish and maintain appropriate quality, testing and monitoring practices. Provide clear, proactive communication on progress, risks and blockers to stakeholders and leadership. Define metrics as needed and develop an understanding of why we did or didn't hit our targets. Qualifications & Skills (experience / depth) Experience 5+ years working as a software engineer. Some of that experience should be in the ML sphere. This should not be your first time managing and we'd prefer at least 4 years of experience managing engineers directly in an ML focused domain. Technical & AI Fluency Comfortable engaging in technical discussions on architecture, data flows, and system design. Demonstrable experience using AI tools in a professional capacity for research, administration and code generation with a clear point of view on how to use them responsibly and cost-effectively. Strong knowledge of software development best practices, cloud computing platforms, big data technologies, MLOps toolkits, and SLO-driven reliability management. Experience working with at least one of Databricks, Spark, Airflow, Vertex and the GCP technology stack in general is preferred. Stakeholder Management & Communication Strong track record managing relationships with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to communicate clearly across audiences and influence without authority. Comfortable navigating competing priorities and pushing back constructively when needed. Leadership Genuine care for engineer growth and development, with experience giving structured feedback and building career paths. Ability to build trust and psychological safety within the team while holding a high bar for output and accountability. #LI-Remote Benefits in our US offices: Discretionary Time Off Policy (Unlimited!) 401K Match Stock Options Annual Performance Bonus or Commissions Paid Parental Leave (12 weeks) On-Demand Therapy for all employees & their dependents Dedicated learning budget through Learnerbly Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance Life Insurance Company Social Events Signifyd Swag Compensation: In the United States, each work location is assigned a specific pay zone, which determines the salary range for a given position. ClassDojo 's goal is to give every child on Earth an education they love. We started by building a powerful network for communication. ClassDojo's flagship app is the #1 communication app connecting K-12 teachers, children, and families globally. Teachers use it to share what's happening throughout the day through photos, videos, and messages that make parents feel like they're there. It's actively used in over 95% of US schools, reaching over 45 million children in 180 countries, with a team of just around 200 people [1]. We are now beginning to use this network to give kids the best learning experiences in the world, far beyond those a standard school can provide. We hire for talent density. Our team comprises the most talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative teammates from around the world, with experience in education and large scale consumer internet companies, including Instagram, Netflix, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, Y Combinator, and more. We're building a company where the most talented people want to work. We believe you'll do the best work of your life here—and you'll pioneer the future of education, too. About ClassDojo & Dojo Islands Monsterverse is our virtual world for kids. Dojo Islands is where they build, play, and connect with classmates and friends. The limit on growth has flipped. Revenue isn't it anymore; the size of the Islands user base is. 10M+ kids receive class points each week, and most have never installed the app. What you'll do: We're hiring a product leader for the Monsterverse to own kid growth — growing kid users of Dojo Islands. This means running the product team that owns top-of-funnel growth for Dojo Islands and driving the cross-company roadmap to grow Monthly Active Kids (our core company metric is Monthly Active Connected Families, where families are Parents and/or Kids). You'll work closely with our co-founders, leaders, and cross-functional teams to invent and test long-term ideas, at both a strategic and tactical level. The kid growth funnel end-to-end: awareness, install, activation, and early retention for Dojo Islands The cross-company roadmap for Monthly Active Kids, coordinating across the flagship app, school network, and Islands A small, high-leverage product team — setting direction, shipping fast, and learning faster A direct working relationship with co-founders on long-term growth strategy You will be a match if: You've owned a top-line growth metric end-to-end. You've led initiatives that measurably moved DAU/WAU, install conversion, or retention on a consumer product. You can clearly articulate before → after. You have gaming and/or kid-product experience — or a close equivalent. You've shipped at scale in games, social, or gamified products. You've lived in the activation and retention trenches and know how to find the fun. You operate at both the strategic and the detail level. You drive a cross-org roadmap and write your own SQL. You set direction, then go get into the details. You're self-sufficient with data. You can write queries, build dashboards, and analyze funnels without dedicated support. You're a structured problem-solver in ambiguity. You break complex problems down, synthesize quant and qual, and produce simple, actionable plans. AI is core to how you work, not a side tool. You've built it into your product process and your own workflow. We'll probe on this — it's important to us. You might be a good fit if: Founder or early-stage startup experience (pre-Series B). Operating in the $1M–$10M revenue phase builds the right reflexes. Experience with kids' products, consumer social, or platforms with T&S / trust and safety considerations. Experience with cross-functional growth loops — viral mechanics, referral systems, or in-product distribution. You'll work with our product engineering areas as your customers, set platform engineering practices and quality, and make the build-vs-buy and architecture trade-offs that shape how every engineer at ClassDojo ships. This is a manager-of-managers role with real architectural and strategic ownership. You'll have 2 to 4 engineering managers reporting in, and your work multiplies across the entire engineering org. You will be expected to set direction, not just execute on it. What You'll Do Lead a multi-team Platform org Own Platform's company-level objectives and the engineering plan that delivers them. Translate company priorities and product-engineering needs into a platform roadmap, in a way that flows both up and down. Be responsible for build-vs-buy and architecture-level trade-offs across infrastructure, data, developer experience, and AI tooling; own the technical roadmap and how it balances against the needs of your customers. Represent Platform and collaborate with cross-functional leadership partners and in engineering-wide leadership conversations. Develop the engineering managers reporting to you Coach EMs to a higher bar with clear feedback, growth plans, and direct support. Drive AI-native development in line with ClassDojo's engineering practices (flow-based delivery, vertical slicing, WIP discipline, Definition of Done, observability) Address performance issues early and clearly; develop managers out of "fine" performance into great performance. Be directive when our values, quality bar, or ways of working are at stake. Run platform towards the long term Treat the product engineering areas as customers: understand their needs, measure adoption and satisfaction, and prioritize accordingly. Build paved roads and golden paths that teams want to use; earn adoption rather than mandating it. Take accountability for SLAs/SLOs and incident response across the platform surface. Make tech-debt and reliability trade-offs on purpose, not by accident. Drive technical excellence across the platform Support and drive architecture and systems design decisions across infrastructure, data, DevEx, and AI tooling; ensure systems are reliable, maintainable, and operationally ready. Make build-vs-buy calls deliberately; avoid both not-invented-here and unmanaged sprawl. Partner cross-functionally Co-own the platform roadmap and quality bar with the product engineering leads who depend on you. Partner with Security, Ops, Data, and other functions as the platform requires. Build pragmatic interim solutions that work today and migrate cleanly as platform capabilities mature. You Will Be a Match If You… 2+ years managing managers, with direct reports who were themselves people managers. 10+ years total in technical roles, with a strong individual-contributor era you can still draw on. Have owned a platform, infrastructure, data, or developer-productivity area and delivered a measurable outcome (throughput, reliability, cost, or operational safety). Have built or evolved platform engineering practices across multiple teams, not just within one, and earned adoption. Have hired, developed, and managed engineering managers. Comfortable making and defending build-vs-buy and architecture-level trade-offs across the platform surface; can still reason about code with taste. Embrace Candor > Harmony : give the hard message early, comfortable with disagreement. Use LLM-based tools daily and push your teams to adopt them. Are an excellent written communicator; can articulate strategy and trade-offs clearly in writing. Nice to Have Experience running infrastructure, data, DevEx, or AI platforms at meaningful scale. Has built developer platforms that internal engineers genuinely adopted (paved roads, golden paths, internal developer platforms). Has used AI-native workflows to materially change how a team designs, ships, and operates, and/or has built AI tooling/platform for other engineers (not just personal use). Experience leading a remote-first, distributed engineering team. Brings a network of high-quality platform/infrastructure engineering talent. About the Role: Every feature ClassDojo ships begins with an engineer. Every minute an engineer spends waiting on builds, troubleshooting local environments, repeating manual workflows, or navigating unnecessary complexity is a minute they aren't building magical experiences for children, teachers, and families. Developer Experience Engineering exists to remove that friction. As a Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience, you'll build the tools, workflows, and AI-powered developer experiences that make every engineer at ClassDojo more effective. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed Developer Experience Engineering team and help define what great developer experience looks like at ClassDojo. Rather than inheriting a mature platform, you'll help shape its foundations—partnering closely with engineers across the company to identify opportunities, build high-leverage solutions, and establish trusted paved paths that make shipping software faster, safer, and more enjoyable. We're looking for someone who combines exceptional software engineering with product thinking. You'll treat engineers as customers, build products they'll genuinely enjoy using, and focus relentlessly on creating leverage across the engineering organization. What You'll Do: Build products for engineers: Design and build internal platforms, tooling, and developer workflows that improve the experience of developing, testing, reviewing, deploying, and operating software. Multiply engineering productivity : Identify opportunities where thoughtful platform investments create outsized impact across the engineering organization. Continuously reduce developer friction while improving engineering velocity, quality, and reliability. Help shape AI-native software development: Build practical AI-powered workflows that help engineers write, review, test, and ship software more effectively. Evaluate emerging technologies thoughtfully and help establish patterns that improve outcomes while maintaining security, reliability, and engineering quality. Partner deeply across engineering : Work closely with product engineering, infrastructure, security, and technical leaders to understand pain points, prioritize opportunities, and build platform capabilities that solve real problems. Create trusted paved paths : Build reusable tools, automation, documentation, and self-service capabilities that become the preferred way engineers work because they're intuitive, reliable, and genuinely useful. Measure impact : Use engineering metrics, developer feedback, and adoption data to continuously improve the developer experience. Focus on meaningful outcomes rather than activity metrics. Help build Developer Experience Engineering : As an early member of the team, contribute to technical direction, engineering standards, and the long-term evolution of Developer Experience Engineering at ClassDojo. You'll Be A Match If You: Have extensive experience (7-10+ years) building production software in modern engineering organizations. Enjoy solving organization-wide engineering problems rather than only product-specific challenges. Think like a product engineer even when building internal platforms. Demonstrate strong technical judgment and know when to build, simplify, automate, or adopt existing solutions. Thrive in ambiguity and are excited by the opportunity to help build a new Platform Engineering team. Build trust through partnership and influence rather than organizational authority. Care deeply about engineering craftsmanship, maintainability, and long-term platform health. Approach AI as a practical tool for improving engineering effectiveness rather than an end in itself. Measure success through the impact your work has on other engineers. Nice to Have Experiences: Developer Experience or Platform Engineering teams. Internal developer platforms or engineering productivity initiatives. CI/CD, release engineering, developer environments, or software delivery systems. AI-assisted software development or developer tooling. Engineering productivity measurement frameworks such as DORA or SPACE. High-growth engineering organizations where platform investments had organization-wide impact. Developer Experience Engineering is a force multiplier for the entire organization. Every improvement you make has the potential to help engineers build better software, move faster with greater confidence, and spend more of their time focused on creating meaningful experiences for children, teachers, and families. If you're energized by solving hard technical problems, building products for engineers, and creating systems that make everyone around you more effective, we'd love to meet you.
