Senior People Partner

Senior People Partner Cloudscaler | London | People Team | Reports to the Chief People Officer | £55,000–£75,000 Someone has to own the People initiative that doesn't fit neatly into anyone's week and the case nobody else should be handling. That someone is you — not as an escalation point, but as the person who runs the day-to-day of this function. THE MOMENT Cloudscaler is 130 people today. We'll be 170 by the end of this year, and roughly double again in 2027. The People function is being built in real time alongside that growth, rather than inherited from someone who left years ago. You'll be the first hire into the People team. For roughly your first year you'll be the only People professional alongside the CPO, which means running the whole day-to-day of the function: the hardest casework and initiatives, and the operational core that keeps everything moving. A People Partner is planned to join later in 2027, and at that point the operational administration moves to them. This is also a role built with room to grow. As the team expands beyond that second hire, we expect this role to take on day-to-day operational leadership of the People Partner practice, but that isn't the shape of it on day one. WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT In most People teams, the senior generalist is just a People Partner with a harder case queue. Here, the difference is ownership, not just difficulty. Complex casework: Rather than simply handling harder cases, you'll own the most complex cases end to end, with no hand back. People initiatives: Rather than contributing to initiatives someone else drives, you'll own them from design through to embedding. Decision-making: Rather than escalating ambiguity upward, you'll make the sensible call and document your reasoning. CPO partnership: Rather than acting in a support role to the CPO, you'll be an operational partner they can confidently delegate to. To be clear about the level: The CPO still designs the People strategy and the systems architecture. You own how it runs day to day, and you're trusted to run a whole initiative, not just a case. That is a different job to People Partner, not a bigger version of the same one. THE ROLE You'll sit in the People team reporting to the Chief People Officer. Three strands make up the job: Casework: The employee relations situations with the most complexity or sensitivity land with you, start to finish. Initiatives: When the CPO needs a piece of work owned (a policy rollout, a wellbeing programme, a piece of the reward or benefits agenda), you take it from design through to something that runs. Operations: Until the People Partner joins, you'll own payroll and benefits administration, onboarding, screening and security clearances, and keeping Rippling accurate. When the People Partner joins, they'll report to the CPO. You won't manage them formally, but you'll lead their handover, you'll be the person they come to first, and your judgement will set the standard for how this function operates day to day. WHERE THE ROLE STARTS AND STOPS New roles get vague, so here is the boundary as we see it today. Yours The most complex and sensitive employee relations casework, end to end. Full ownership of People initiatives, from design to embedding. Acting as the CPO's operational partner on ambiguous or cross-cutting problems. Until the People Partner joins (planned for later in 2027): Payroll and benefits administration, including the monthly payroll cycle in Rippling and Mintago. Pre-onboarding, onboarding and probation. Background screening in Zinc. Security clearance coordination. Rippling data quality, workflows and reporting. Our working groups and committees. Once the People Partner joins: A structured handover of the operational core. Day-to-day guidance for the People Partner. Shared Ashby, which Talent Acquisition owns. You'll work in it from offer through to start date on every hire until the People Partner joins, and on senior hires after that. Mentoring and supporting the People Partner on their casework and initiatives, once they join. Not yours Recruitment delivery, which sits with Talent Acquisition. The design of the People strategy, the operating model and the systems architecture, which sit with the CPO. Formal line management of the People Partner, who will report to the CPO. THE STACK Rippling: Our single source of truth. Until the People Partner joins you'll run it day to day, including the monthly payroll cycle, data quality and workflows, and you'll use its reporting at a level that supports whole initiatives. Zinc: Background screening. You'll run checks for every new joiner until the People Partner joins, and stay close to the senior and sensitive hires after that. Ashby: Owned by Talent Acquisition. You'll work in it from offer through to start date on the hires you're responsible for. Claude: A daily tool here. You'll use it for casework preparation, drafting policy and communications, and pulling together the analysis behind an initiative. Mintago: Our employee benefits and financial wellbeing platform (pensions, salary sacrifice and financial advice). You'll administer it and keep enrolment accurate until the People Partner takes it on. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own the hardest casework. You'll run our most complex and sensitive employee relations cases end to end, with the CPO there to sense-check rather than take over. Own initiatives, not tasks. You'll take a People initiative from a rough brief to something that's running and embedded, rather than handing it back once the interesting part is done. Run the operational core. Until the People Partner joins, you'll own the monthly payroll cycle in Rippling, benefits administration including Mintago, onboarding, background screening and security clearances. Accurate, on time, and documented as you go. Hand it over well. When the People Partner arrives, you'll give them a working system and a clear handover, then stay the person they come to first and the judgement others in the function measure themselves against. Partner with senior leaders. You'll be credible with leaders on the most difficult conversations: complex change, capability, and situations without a clean playbook. Use AI properly. You'll use Claude daily to take time out of your own week, checking anything that touches a decision about a person and owning the outcome. Improve what you find. You'll spot the gaps in policy, process or practice before anyone else does, and bring the CPO a considered view on the fix, not just the problem. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AT 12 MONTHS You're running the most complex ER cases with confidence, and the CPO isn't being pulled into them. At least one or two People initiatives have gone from a rough brief to something genuinely embedded, owned by you. Payroll, benefits, onboarding and clearances run accurately and on time, and every process is documented well enough to hand over. You've helped shape the People Partner hire, so the handover is ready when they land. Senior leaders treat you as a credible operational partner, not an escalation point. You've made and documented sensible calls in genuinely ambiguous situations, and they've held up. The CPO can hand you an ambiguous problem and trust it gets shaped properly. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Deep employee relations experience. You've run complex disciplinaries, grievances and change situations yourself, and you know exactly when to escalate and when not to. CIPD qualification, or solid progress towards it, is welcome. A track record of owning initiatives. You can point to work you took from a brief to something that actually ran, not just a project you contributed to. Hands-on with the operational detail. You've owned or closely supported a payroll cycle, benefits administration and onboarding, and you're comfortable being accountable for their accuracy while also carrying the senior work. Credible with senior leaders. You can hold your own in a difficult conversation with someone under real pressure and be listened to. Comfortable operating near-autonomously. You don't need a playbook for everything. You make a sensible call, write it down, and check it with the CPO afterwards. Ready to grow into people leadership. You won't formally manage anyone at the start, but you'll induct and guide the People Partner when they join, and you should want to lead a team as the structure catches up. Discreet and organised at volume. Complex casework and live initiatives, often at the same time. You'll need a system, and it can't be your memory. THE HONEST PART This role sits in an odd space for now: senior in scope and judgement, without a team underneath it yet. Until the People Partner joins later in 2027, you'll also be the whole operational team, so a payroll deadline and a complex grievance can land in the same week. That eases as the function grows, but it means the authority you carry day to day has to come from the quality of your work, not a job title. You are not designing the People strategy or the systems architecture. The CPO does that. What you get instead is real ownership of the hardest cases and the initiatives that matter, a close working relationship with the CPO, and a genuine path toward leading the People Partner practice as it grows. This probably isn't for you if you want a formal team from day one, or if you'd rather leave payroll and onboarding to someone else. It probably is for you if you want to prove you can run this function well enough, top to bottom, that a team gets built around you. If that sounds like the challenge you've been looking for, let's talk. Cloudscaler are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to equal opportunities regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ancestry, age, marital status, disability, parental status, religion or medical history. We work alongside the world's best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar. Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes. 2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We've scaled to $200M+ in ARR , with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler. We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law. Joining Legora means three things. We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions. We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback. We grow together: as a team and with our customers. Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you're driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place. What You'll Do This role will report into the Strategic Accounts Engagement Director to ensure that a number of our major law firm clients are receiving consistently high client service, and that they are constantly finding value in Legora. The remit is depth over breadth: a handful of accounts understood thoroughly, where success is measured by whether the partnership is compounding rather than plateauing. This role will also be supported by a dedicated Strategic Account Engagement Associate. In practice, the work sits closer to embedded change management than to traditional account management. Our clients have already bought the platform. The job is making it land: getting lawyers to change how they work, proving the value back to the partners who signed off, and turning that into the case for the next phase. Specifically, you will: Act as a key point of contact and strategic advisor. Understand client goals, uncover new use cases, and help our key clients realise maximum value while linking it to ROI. Be available and on hand to end users. Quickly and efficiently discuss use of Legora and potential new use cases. Spend time embedded on client sites, working alongside lawyers where they actually sit. We are looking for someone comfortable working with senior stakeholders, who enjoys spending time with our clients independently, in front of partners and practice heads as well as associates and trainees. Assist the Engagement Director to pinpoint expansion opportunities. You will jointly spearhead the adoption initiatives necessary to realise them. Contribute to the adoption effort practice group by practice group. Discovery sessions, use case validation, drop-ins, enablement. The shape varies by firm and by wave. Monitor customer health metrics in collaboration with the Engagement Associate. Proactively develop and present the Engagement Director with strategies to address any decline in Legora usage, or to sustain momentum from increased adoption. Closely collaborate with Customer Enablement, Product and Marketing. Translate client feedback into actionable insights and product direction to benefit all functions across the organisation. Being a team player is key. Represent Legora in the market. Speaking at events, hosting client sessions, contributing to how our story gets told publicly. Our strongest engagement people are visible in the legal community, not only inside their own accounts. What You Bring We hire for credibility with lawyers and the commercial instinct to act on what they tell you. That does not come from a single background, and we are open on where yours comes from. What matters is that you have driven change in a professional services setting: persuading experienced, sceptical, time-poor people to work differently, and making it stick. That might have been inside a law firm, in innovation, change, transformation or business development. It might have been consulting into firms, or at a vendor working alongside them. Having practised law is welcome but is not required. Beyond that: Three to five years in either: Customer Success or Account Management in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment. Innovation, Change, Transformation or a related role in a law firm or comparable professional services organisation. A track record of driving retention and satisfaction in the enterprise space. Evidence you have changed behaviour, not just managed a relationship. Highly organised. These clients are large and complex, which means competing priorities and requests to keep track of. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication. You can hold a room of partners, then sit down with a trainee and work through their prompt with them. High EQ and commercial instinct. You know when to listen, when to advise, and when to act. A love of fast-paced, early-stage environments where priorities can shift rapidly and you adapt with them. Comfortable with metrics. Driven by data, customer health and outcomes over process. Importantly, you are someone who enjoys being in the office five days a week, with onsite client time in the UK and abroad. Advantageous system skills: Legora, Hex, Pitch, Notion, Salesforce. Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating an inclusive, high-performance culture where everyone can do their best work. We welcome people of all backgrounds and don't discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you're driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place. About the Role The way legal work gets done is changing, and Engagement is at the centre of that transformation. We're looking for an Engagement Manager to own adoption across a portfolio of mid-market corporate clients and help their in-house legal teams fundamentally change the way they work. This is a role for someone who has led change inside complex organisations and knows that real transformation is designed and managed. You will own the adoption and long-term success of 15 – 20 corporate accounts: building the relationships, defining the outcomes and serving as the trusted adviser who turns Legora into an embedded part of how those teams operate. Mid-market means breadth as well as depth. You will be running adoption programmes across 15 – 20 accounts at once, each with its own stakeholders, timelines and success measures, which makes this a role where strong project management is not a nice-to-have but the thing that determines whether you succeed. You will lean on repeatable playbooks where they work and go bespoke where an account earns it. At the heart of the role is designing each client's adoption playbook and delivering the change programmes that transform how they work. For every account you will build a tailored roadmap, sequence initiatives from initial rollout through function-wide scaled adoption, define measurable outcomes and ROI and evolve the programme as new AI capabilities and use cases emerge. You will be critical as we continue to build a best-in-class adoption programme at Legora, helping clients realise measurable ROI, expand successful use cases and transform the way their teams work. What You'll Do You'll lead the post-sale customer experience, owning onboarding, adoption and long-term value realisation for a portfolio of 15 – 20 mid-market corporates. Specifically, you will: Design each client's adoption playbook: the tailored change-management approach, stakeholder map and target outcomes for how that legal function adopts Legora and transforms the way it works. Execute against that playbook, sequencing initiatives from initial rollout to function- and enterprise-wide scaled adoption and adapting as the client's needs and Legora's capabilities evolve. Run those programmes in parallel across the full portfolio, holding the plan, the milestones and the risks for every account and knowing at any moment which ones need your attention this week. Act as a strategic adviser who deeply understands in-house legal priorities — cost, cycle time, risk and doing more without adding headcount — surfaces high-impact opportunities and guides teams towards maximum value from Legora. Drive sustained value through a structured operating cadence: success plans, enablement, stakeholder check-ins, training and value reviews. Orchestrate engagement from cross-functional teams to accelerate client success (GTM, Product, Legal Engineering, Engineering, Marketing, Support), maintaining end-to-end account context and coordination. Partner with GTM on key commercial moments to ensure seamless transitions, continuity and exceptional customer experience, and to identify and realise expansion opportunities. Translate customer feedback into action by collaborating closely with Product, Engineering and Marketing to inform roadmap, positioning and enablement. Build reusable playbooks, templates and enablement material from what works, so the whole Engagement team gets better as you go rather than every account starting from scratch. What You Bring You care deeply about customer outcomes and you know that transformation has to be designed and led. You're proactive, strategic and comfortable steering demanding, senior stakeholders through significant change. You take pride in being the reason customers adopt, grow and succeed. We're looking for: A minimum of 5 years' experience in management consulting, legal, LegalTech or customer success in an AI-native B2B vertical. Experience overseeing complex rollouts and adoption programmes at corporates is very desirable. We want someone who has taken a new way of working into a large in-house function, navigated procurement, IT, security and sceptical stakeholders, and made it stick. A strong project management skillset. This is central to the role: with 15 – 20 live programmes you need to be organised by instinct, comfortable holding many threads at once and able to tell the difference between an account that is quiet and an account that is drifting. A consulting or transformation background, with a demonstrated track record of designing and delivering change-management programmes inside complex organisations. Experience building tailored, client-level transformation roadmaps and adoption plans and steering them to measurable outcomes. A track record of driving adoption, retention and satisfaction with corporate clients and senior stakeholders. Experience working with legal, compliance or other regulated and complex industries or the ability to learn a complex domain exceptionally fast. Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and interpersonal. You can hold a conversation with a General Counsel and roll up your sleeves with the hands-on teams who use the product every day. High EQ: you know when to listen, when to advise and when to act. A love of fast-paced, early-stage environments where you help build the playbook, not just follow it. Fluency with metrics and driven by data, customer health and outcomes over process. Job Summary Spaceless Marketing is looking for a Social Media Manager who is creative, social, adaptable, and genuinely excited about the world of social media. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that great social media is about much more than scheduling posts ? it?s about understanding people, brands, trends, and what actually gets an audience to stop scrolling. You?ll manage social media for a variety of Spaceless clients, so you need to be extremely comfortable across all major social platforms, with a strong understanding of how content should differ from platform to platform. You?ll be responsible for capturing each client?s unique brand voice and personality, creating and scheduling content, monitoring performance, making recommendations, and engaging with their audiences on a daily basis. You?ll also be an important part of the Spaceless team itself. We?re a small, collaborative agency, so we need someone who is willing to jump in wherever they?re needed. We?re looking for someone who is versatile, resourceful, and willing to jump in wherever they're needed, someone who doesn't say, ?That?s not my job,? but instead says, ?How can I help?? You should be comfortable being in front of the camera and creating Reels and social content for Spaceless, while also being confident managing the social presence of our clients behind the scenes. You?ll help build Spaceless?s own online presence while ensuring our clients? accounts are active, engaging, strategic, and continuously improving. Most importantly, personality matters. We spend a lot of time together, work closely as a team, and care about creating a workplace where people actually enjoy working together. We?re looking for someone who is positive, approachable, collaborative, dependable, and willing to contribute wherever they can. In short: we?re looking for a social media person who knows their stuff, has great instincts, can adapt to any brand, isn?t afraid to get in front of the camera, and is the kind of teammate who makes the whole group better. What You'll Do Manage the day-to-day social media presence for a portfolio of Spaceless clients across relevant social platforms. Create, schedule, and publish social media content using scheduling and management platforms. Write engaging, on-brand captions that accurately reflect each client?s unique voice, personality, and goals. Handle daily engagement across client accounts, including responding to comments, interacting with audiences, and proactively engaging with relevant accounts. Monitor client social media performance and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Review social media analytics and make practical recommendations to improve reach, engagement, content performance, and overall account growth. Film, edit, and create short-form video content, including Reels and other social-first content. Be comfortable appearing on camera and creating engaging video content for Spaceless?s own social media channels. Manage and grow Spaceless Marketing?s social media presence, including developing content ideas, filming, editing, scheduling, posting, and engagement. Help capture behind-the-scenes content and social-first content during client shoots and productions. Assist with client photo and video shoots as needed, including helping with setup, content capture, production, and general on-set support.
