Principal Software Engineer I - CI/CD - Platform Engineering Productivity
Full TimeFully RemotePrincipal
kubernetesargocdgithub actionsbuildkiteci/cdplatform engineering+9

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic's complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. What Is The Role : The Platform Engineering Productivity team operates the CI, CD, and Release infrastructure for the company. We ensure developers can efficiently and safely deploy changes across our various environments and at scale. In an age of AI, the landscape is evolving rapidly from scaling needs to, more than ever, securing our supply chain. There are interesting challenges to tackle. We're looking for a proactive systems thinker who delivers on business-driven projects while identifying and driving the work that keeps our infrastructure ahead before scaling and security challenges become problems. If you're energized by work that makes every engineering team at Elastic ship faster and more securely, we'd love to hear from you. What You Will Be Doing : Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD, from problem identification through org-wide adoption. Identify where CI/CD is a bottleneck, a source of friction, or a security risk before it becomes an incident, and drive the remediation rather than waiting to be assigned it. Design and enforce release gates covering supply chain integrity, artifact provenance, and release readiness, built to scale across teams without becoming a tax on engineering velocity. Direct engineers on your team through complex, multi-quarter projects: break down the architecture, assign the work, and own the outcome even when the execution is distributed. Drive clear technical communication and alignment across teams, and produce high-quality documentation for systems, processes, and architectural decisions. Serve as Incident Commander on high-severity supply chain or release incidents, and use each incident as a forcing function for structural improvements. Raise the engineering bar across the org through code review, mentorship, design review, and by setting standards others adopt voluntarily. Remain hands-on at the right depth: you'll review code, prototype approaches, and debug production issues, but your primary leverage at this level is through the work of others, not your own output. What You Bring : Deep expertise in CI/CD and what it takes to harden a release pipeline against supply chain attacks. Strong debugging instincts across the full pipeline stack: you trace failures from test runner to artifact store to cluster deployment without needing a specialist for each layer. Hands-on with CI infrastructure (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or equivalent), GitOps/ArgoCD, and Kubernetes. You use AI to accelerate your own work and your team's and you understand AI's impact on supply chain security and scale. A track record of multi-quarter, cross-org ownership: you've identified the right problem, designed the solution, and gotten organizations that didn't report to you to change how they work. The judgment to push back on a prescribed plan when it's the wrong call, and the credibility to get alignment on a better approach. Experience directing the work of other engineers toward outcomes not just collaborating, but breaking down complex problems into executable work and holding the outcome. Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People As a distributed company, diversity drives our identity. Whether you're looking to launch a new career or grow an existing one, Elastic is the type of company where you can balance great work with great life. Your age is only a number. It doesn't matter if you're just out of college or your children are; we need you for what you can do. We strive to have parity of benefits across regions and while regulations differ from place to place, we believe taking care of our people is the right thing to do. Competitive pay based on the work you do here and not your previous salary Health coverage for you and your family in many locations Ability to craft your calendar with flexible locations and schedules for many roles Generous number of vacation days each year Increase your impact - We match up to $2000 (or local currency equivalent) for financial donations and service Up to 40 hours each year to use toward volunteer projects you love Embracing parenthood with minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave Different people approach problems differently. We need that. Elastic is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive culture that celebrates different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation. We welcome individuals with disabilities and strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all individuals. To request an accommodation during the application or the recruiting process, please email . We will reply to your request within 24 business hours of submission. What we do RELEX Solutions delivers a unified supply chain planning platform for retailers and manufacturers, enabled by proven AI technology. We help companies optimize demand forecasting, replenishment, merchandising, pricing and promotions, supply chain operations, and production planning across the end-to-end value chain. Who we are We work on the decisions where retail margins are won and lost. Changing a price is easy. Knowing which of fifty thousand prices to change, what it does to demand, and whether last week's promotion actually made money is not. That is what we build for. RELEX Solutions delivers a unified supply chain and retail planning platform for retailers and manufacturers, enabled by proven AI technology, with a global team of over 2,000 professionals working side-by-side with our customers. The role In response to our fast growth in Europe, we are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer with a software engineering foundation for our Merchandising business. You will be part of the central engineering team, and work with the operations team, directly with our customers. You will be the scientific and technical face of RELEX Merchandising to European retailers. What makes this role different This is not a consulting role and not a solutions architect role. You write production code and build production models that run in live customer environments. The hard part of this job is not prototyping quickly. The hard part is that the improvement you co-develop has to be right, hold up in front of the customer's own analysts, and then run in production every week. You walk in with a hypothesis, test it on their data, and stand behind the result, limitations included. What we need you to do and be Own technical delivery end to end, from discovery through go-live: configuration, extensions, integrations, and the quality of everything that ships into the customer's instance Prove the value you deliver by instrumenting deployments, measuring outcomes against the customer's baseline, and presenting the evidence credibly to operational users and executives alike Own the technical customer relationship, learning their operations deeply enough to challenge requirements and become their first call when a new problem appears Feed the product by capturing gaps and use cases from the field and prototyping solutions that can graduate into the RELEX roadmap Build customer self-sufficiency through knowledge transfer and clean handovers, so they can operate and extend RELEX without you Grow the account by surfacing adjacent use cases, new sites and unused capabilities, and shaping the technical solution and value case together with pre-sales and the account team Support commercial activity with feasibility assessments, proofs of concept and technical demos, so what gets agreed is technically grounded What you'll bring to the table Proven experience designing and building software across the full stack, in production, not just in dev Strong understanding of system design, observability, and hypothesis-driven development Experience building integrations for downstream or customer-facing systems Solid working knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application stacks Strong business acumen: you can translate technical work into measurable financial impact and communicate it clearly to a non-technical audience Comfortable managing ambiguity and taking full ownership of outcomes Willingness to travel and to work on-site at customer locations for parts of an engagement Comfortable using AI in your everyday work and developing AI tool adoption as an organizational strategy Fluent in written and spoken English Nice to have: exposure to retail, merchandising, or pricing and promotions More important: you learn a new domain and a new codebase fast, and you're comfortable being productive before you feel fully up to speed What we offer in return An international career and learning opportunities A rapidly growing and financially robust software company with exciting opportunities for career growth, also in the future RELEX key benefits Flexibility in how and where you work Room to thrive in a fast-growing global company with a good market position Practical benefits that support work, family, wellness, and everyday life Annual leave Diverse, inclusive, and supportive work culture Work that meaningfully reduces waste and improves sustainability Ownership, autonomy and flat hierarchies Two paid volunteering days each year We are a global community of different cultures, voices, and experiences. We celebrate what makes us unique and connect through what we share, in an authentic and safe environment. Together we shape the future, and each other. Please note that to be considered for this position, you must be fluent in English, and hold a valid work permit for the country you reside in / will work in. We're excited to connect with applicants who meet these criteria and share our passion to do hard things, trust each other, and build what's next for the product, the planet, and the people. Senior Technical Program Manager
Full TimeOn-siteSenior
s3computer visionagilejiramanufacturingproject management+9

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, delivering an ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform alongside a manufacturing architecture that scales from large to extra-large vehicle sizes. The Dive-XL programme is designed, built and tested in Australia and is executing against live contracts. The XL Vehicle System team owns the vehicle end to end – systems, software, mechanical, electrical, and integration and test. ABOUT THE JOB You will own programme execution across the XL vehicle system as it moves from development into production, reporting to the Director of Platforms. The role requires both programme management rigour and genuine technical depth: you will be expected to engage substantively on system architecture, interfaces and verification approach alongside the engineering discipline leads. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own programme planning end to end for the vehicle system: scoping, sequencing, dependency mapping, risk identification, and driving decisions when requirements, timelines or resourcing conflict. Stand up and run the scaled agile cadence across the vehicle programme — coordinating planning increments, cross-team dependency mapping, and integration points across up to ~100 engineers spanning multiple agile teams. Own the rhythm: PI planning, backlog alignment, system demos and inspect-and-adapt events, ensuring the cadence actually drives decisions rather than just generating ceremony. Implement and maintain robust project management methodologies and best practices across the programme, driving predictability and accountability. Proactively identify and mitigate programme risks and challenges, developing mitigation plans alongside the engineers who will execute them. Engage with the technical substance of the programme – architecture, requirements baselines, interfaces and verification approach – well enough to catch problems early rather than simply track status. Partner with discipline leads as a technical peer, pressure-testing estimates and identifying missing scope before a schedule or resourcing decision is made. Translate system-level requirements and subsystem dependencies into a sequenced plan that reflects how the vehicle is actually integrated and tested. Manage interfaces and dependencies across production, supply chain and test, driving resolution where subsystem plans conflict. Lead re-planning as priorities shift, and communicate the change and its technical consequences clearly. Own the technical narrative in design review gates, milestone reviews and executive updates. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers. At Roku, the Device Monetization and Themed Experiences (DMTE) team, a part of the Advertising organization, is where the magic behind the scenes happens. Our work lives in the middleware and UI layers, and its impact is felt every time a user navigates a menu, enjoys an animated ad, or is wowed by the bespoke experience built to market the latest TV show or Movies. We thrive on solving technical challenges — from optimizing UI rendering to fine-tuning memory usage — using BrightScript (or JavaScript-like) to deliver rock-solid, high-performance solutions. We work in a collaborative, high-trust environment where great ideas can come from anywhere, partnering closely with firmware, UI, and product teams to ensure our platform is lightning fast, reliable, and ready for the next generation of streaming innovation. If you love building the invisible foundations that make great user experiences possible, this is the team for you. What is the role? As a Software Engineer in the DMTE team, you'll contribute to Roku's platform innovation — implementing and optimizing BrightScript (or JavaScript-like) systems for graphics rendering and the FRAME engine. You'll tackle performance-critical challenges, ensuring our devices deliver smooth visuals and instant responsiveness at scale. You'll have the opportunity to learn about core architecture, work across the stack with hardware, firmware, and application teams, and see your work directly impact tens of millions of users. This is a role for engineers who love technical problem-solving, care about performance, and want to work on technology that quietly powers an entire ecosystem. If you're ready to learn, grow, and contribute to the future of streaming, we'd love to hear from you. How will I use AI at Roku? At Roku, we don't just use AI, we work with it. AI agents and smart tools help power drafts, analysis, and repetitive workflows, while our people bring direction, judgment, and accountability. We value your AI skills if have built fluency across the agentic engineering toolchain — coding harnesses like Claude Code or Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks. What are the responsibilities of the role? Build scalable UI features optimized for millions of users Contribute to technical investigations and solutions for middleware and UI challenges Explore integrating AI/ML capabilities and leverage generative AI tools to accelerate development Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global platform features Develop engineering tools and learn from experienced developers Stay current with AI trends and emerging technologies What experience would help someone be successful in the role at Roku? 3+ years software engineering experience with UI development exposure C++ in an embedded environment experience Proficiency in Typescript Experience building agentic AI systems that generate, optimize, and deliver scalable applications in production environments Strong problem-solving and technical communication abilities Proactive mindset with passion for continuous learning and fast iteration #LI-NM1 What's Roku's approach to hybrid working? If you require reasonable accommodation at any point in the hiring process, please direct your inquiries to What should I know about Roku's culture? Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV. We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer.
