We're proud to come to work every day knowing that what we do has a direct impact on people's lives, with our core values guiding us every step of the way. Join us to invest in yourself, your career, and the financial world. The Role: SoFi's ability to deliver trusted member experiences, manage risk, meet regulatory obligations, and scale enterprise AI depends on data that is reliable, governed, understandable, and available when it is needed. As a Principal Software Engineer in the Data Platform Group, you will provide hands-on technical leadership within the Data Trust pillar. Working alongside the Senior Manager and other Principal Engineers, you will design, build, and operate the distributed systems and reusable platform primitives that make data quality, privacy, metadata, lineage, access, and reliability enforceable by construction across the enterprise. Your work will span three connected areas: establishing shared Data Trust capabilities, raising the reliability of data across batch and low-latency environments, and applying those foundations to a semantic context layer for trusted analytics and AI. By making business meaning, ownership, provenance, quality, freshness, and access policies machine-readable, you will help end users and AI systems work from consistent, governed context. This is an individual contributor role with broad organizational impact. You will personally contribute code, prototypes, architecture, and operational improvements while setting technical direction across engineering, data, security, privacy, legal, risk, analytics, and product teams. You will build reusable enterprise capabilities and reference patterns that partner teams can adopt, while domain teams retain ownership of their application-specific use cases and serving paths. What you will own: Data Trust architecture and strategy: Define and execute the technical direction for data contracts, metadata and catalog modernization, lineage, data quality, privacy, and access controls. Translate business, regulatory, and engineering requirements into a coherent platform strategy and sequence investments for long-term impact. Declarative enforcement primitives: Build platform services, libraries, and reference patterns that make contracts, quality rules, privacy policies, and access requirements versioned, testable, observable, and automatically enforceable across the data lifecycle. Semantic context for analytics and AI: Establish the technical foundations for a governed semantic context layer that connects business definitions, metadata, lineage, ownership, quality, freshness, and access policy. Enable trusted discovery, analytics, and AI-assisted or agentic experiences without turning this role into a model-development function. Reliability across batch and streaming data: Lead the evolution of Data Trust capabilities across Snowflake, AWS data services, Kafka-based ingestion, and other batch or low-latency environments. Establish explicit SLOs, failure modes, correction paths, and operational ownership, supported by automated detection, containment, remediation, and recovery. Mission-critical operational rigor: Raise the standard for production data systems through observability, integrity checks, audit evidence, incident learning, and safe automation. Help move the organization from reactive troubleshooting and manual compliance activity toward proactive, measurable control. Cross-organizational technical leadership: Drive multi-quarter initiatives across teams and functions, earning alignment on difficult architectural tradeoffs and investment decisions. Serve as a trusted technical authority for Data Trust while mentoring senior engineers, strengthening design and implementation practices, and raising the broader engineering bar. What success looks like in the first 12–18 months: A clear enterprise architecture and delivery path exists for Data Trust primitives spanning contracts, metadata, lineage, quality, privacy, and reliability. Priority data domains have materially improved coverage, observability, SLOs, and automated enforcement. The platform provides production-ready patterns for governing data in both batch and low-latency environments. Initial semantic context capabilities are operating in production and provide more reliable, traceable context for analytics and AI use cases. Manual investigation, recurring data failures, and compliance evidence-gathering are measurably reduced. Engineering and partner teams have adopted reusable standards and capabilities rather than creating isolated point solutions. What you'll need: Experience & Education: 15+ years of software or data engineering experience (or 13+ years with a Master's degree) with a proven track record of designing, building, and operating distributed data platforms at enterprise scale. Platform Architecture Expertise: Deep experience designing horizontal, multi-tenant platform services that other engineering teams depend on. You understand the failure modes of distributed systems, eventual consistency, and how to balance latency, availability, and cost. Data Trust & Governance Depth: Practical, battle-tested experience building or managing components of the modern data trust stack, such as data contracts, metadata catalogs, data quality frameworks, end-to-end lineage, and fine-grained access control (RBAC/ABAC). Batch & Streaming Mastery: Advanced knowledge of modern data ecosystems, specifically Snowflake, Kafka (or similar streaming platforms), and AWS data services. You know how to govern data in motion just as effectively as data at rest. Hands-On Engineering: Mastery of one or more core programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and advanced SQL. You are comfortable writing production-grade code, conducting rigorous code reviews, and building declarative infrastructure (Terraform, CI/CD). Cross-Organizational Leadership: A history of successfully driving multi-team, cross-functional technical initiatives. You know how to build consensus across Engineering, Security, Privacy, and Product teams, translating compliance and risk requirements into frictionless engineering primitives. Operational Rigor: Experience managing Tier-0/mission-critical infrastructure. You build systems with a "trust but verify" mindset—relying on automated testing, drift detection, and circuit breakers rather than manual processes. Nice to have: FinTech / Regulated Industry Experience: Prior experience operating in a highly regulated environment where auditability, data privacy (CCPA/GDPR), and data integrity are architectural requirements, not afterthoughts. AI Infrastructure Exposure: Experience building semantic layers, knowledge graphs, or context engines that ground LLMs and autonomous agents in governed enterprise data. Open Source Contributions: Contributions to relevant open-source data or metadata projects (e.g., Apache Iceberg, OpenMetadata, DataHub, Amundsen). Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency, it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards. The Customer Care Product team's mission is to build the product experiences, automation, and human-assisted touchpoints that support our customers at every stage of their financial journey. We design the client-facing tools, scheduling flows, and expert consultation routing that power our new premium financial offerings. Our team operates at a fast pace, collaborating closely with central marketing, the Concierge team, and growth marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience. We prioritize ethical execution and compliance while striving to democratize premium services for our users. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will lead the GTM strategy and prospect acquisition for our new premium financial offering. In this role, you will design and stand up a B2B-hybrid marketing motion to bring in prospects who are not yet Robinhood customers. You will personally build and execute outbound channels like LinkedIn, email, and outreach, while directing central marketing and Concierge teams for other channels. By implementing a CRM-integrated martech stack, you will orchestrate conversion paths and build marketing attribution to optimize CAC:LTV. This is an exciting opportunity to build a high-priority marketing infrastructure from scratch and make a major business impact! This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams. What you'll do Net-new prospect funnel: Personally build and run outbound marketing—including LinkedIn, email, and outreach—to reach a high-net-worth and mass-affluent audience outside our current customer base. Conversion path orchestration: Own both the free expert consultation and self-serve signup paths. Partner with product to lead qualification and routing to expert calendars, nurture no-shows and not-yet-ready leads, and test outreach channels. Channel orchestration via central marketing and Concierge: Set the strategy and brief execution for paid, brand creative, events, and owned/lifecycle channels through the central marketing and Concierge teams. Marketing stack build-out: Implement the marketing technology required to run marketing for this audience, integrating with a CRM (e.g., Salesforce). Launch readiness: Drive marketing execution against a confidential internal timeline. GTM partnership across departments: Partner with central marketing, Concierge, growth, product, and legal/compliance as strategy and budget finalize—understanding project timelines and key marketing outputs, triaging problems in real time, and advocating for the prospective client's needs. Unit-economics ownership: Build and iterate marketing attribution and efficiency, with a primary focus on net-new client acquisition costs relative to lifetime value (CAC:LTV). What you bring 6+ years of experience in B2B or B2B2C demand generation or growth marketing, with hands-on experience building, not just running, campaigns inside an existing stack. Experience creating a marketing stack that pairs outbound channels (LinkedIn, email, outreach) with a live "book a call/demo" conversion flow (marketing automation, lead routing, scheduling, and attribution). Experience marketing a sales-assisted product (such as wealth management, fintech, insurance, or B2B SaaS with a human handoff) where the funnel leads to a live conversation rather than a self-serve signup. Routine use of AI across your marketing workflow, with comfort directing a hybrid workflow of human collaborators and AI tools. Experience shipping outbound campaigns end-to-end, pairing creative assets and messaging with distribution channels, and experience directing other teams or agencies on channels you do not produce yourself. Nice to have Experience in wealth management, private banking, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), or a fintech-serving high-net-worth background. Experience with compliance-reviewed marketing in a regulated financial services environment. Experience planning small, high-touch VIP or executive events. Depth in two or more areas of product marketing, growth/demand generation, and content/brand, with the ability to operate across all three. Comfort building and presenting a GTM perspective to senior leaders under an evolving timeline and confidentiality constraints. Experience with referral programs or partner-channel marketing. How We'll Know You're Succeeding Primary measure: Net-new (non-existing-customer) demand generated and converted. Supporting measures: Full-funnel conversion from first impression to new customer. Improved efficiency over time (CAC:LTV). Self-serve and referral-sourced growth, balanced with net-new focus. On-track readiness against internal launch milestones. Your GTM population sits across the UK, Spain, and Israel, so working knowledge of employment law and practice in all three is essential - the right call in one market is often the wrong call in another. Experience supporting teams in APAC is a strong plus as our footprint there grows, but it isn't required. Responsibilities Serve as the primary People Business Partner for Mixpanel's EMEA GTM leadership team, operating as a strategic, trusted advisor on org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy. Proactively coach and partner with GTM people managers and leaders across EMEA to build, lead, and grow high-performing teams. Lead complex, multi-country change initiatives — reorgs, comp cycles, policy rollouts — from strategy through communication, partnering with stakeholders to build buy-in rather than just announcing outcomes. Investigate and resolve employee relations matters across the UK, Spain, and Israel, balancing legal risk, company principle, and individual dignity. Turn workforce data — attrition, engagement, performance — into a business case leaders act on, not just a report they skim. Collaborate with the broader People team on programs that elevate the employee experience company-wide, bringing an EMEA- and GTM-specific point of view to global design. Maintain fluency in HR principles, practices, and regulatory environments across the UK, Spain, and Israel to recommend policy with confidence. Build automation and AI into your own workflows and the team's — using it to move faster on the transactional work so there's more time for the judgment calls that need a person. We're Looking For Someone Who Has 8+ years of experience in HR/People roles, including 5+ years as a dedicated People/HR Business Partner, ideally supporting Sales or go-to-market organizations. Working knowledge of employment law and HR practice in the UK, Spain, & Israel — experience in all 3 regions preferred but required in UK & Spain. Deep functional experience in two or more HR areas: talent management, employee relations, employee experience, compensation, organizational development, or HR policy. A track record of leading through ambiguity and owning multi-country problems end to end. Strong analytical and project management skills, with sound commercial judgment and empathy in equal measure. Fluency with AI and automation tools, and a habit of using them to create efficiency in your own work rather than waiting for someone else to build the solution. Excellent, direct communication — the kind that earns trust even in hard conversations. Bonus Points For Experience supporting APAC teams or navigating employment practice in other European markets. #LI-Hybrid Benefits and Perks Comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental Care Mental Wellness Benefit Generous Vacation Policy & Additional Company Holidays Enhanced Parental Leave Volunteer Time Off Additional US Benefits: Pre-Tax Benefits including 401(K), Wellness Benefit, Holiday Break please note that benefits and perks for contract positions will vary Culture Values Make Bold Bets: We choose courageous action over comfortable progress.
