Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all. Role Summary: The Senior Software Engineer will craft high-quality, modern web interfaces that directly support clinical workflows and enhance the user experience across key healthcare applications. This hybrid role is based in Boston, MA, and is focused primarily on building scalable, maintainable frontend systems using the latest React and TypeScript patterns. This position reports to a Principal Member of Technical Staff. Team Summary: The Clinicals Front End Rearchitecture Initiative is an engineering-led effort to replace a fragmented set of frontend architectures across Clinicals applications with a single, modern, React-based foundation. Today, these applications are built on a mix of technologies and patterns that create friction for both developers and users — this initiative is designed to resolve that by establishing one consistent, performant, and scalable frontend platform. A significant part of this effort involves standardizing how frontend applications access data, replacing the current home-grown Data Broker with GraphQL to create cleaner, more predictable data patterns. The team is also focused on building a shared library of reusable components and establishing frontend conventions that other teams across Clinicals can adopt. Node.js plays a supporting role in tooling, build pipelines, and lightweight service layers that complement the frontend stack. The result will be a unified, developer-friendly platform that reduces complexity, improves application performance, and positions Clinicals for sustainable long-term growth. This team values close collaboration with product, design, and backend engineering peers, and is looking for engineers who care deeply about code quality, consistency, and building interfaces that work well for real users. Essential Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain modern, performant frontend applications using JavaScript, React.js, and TypeScript. Build reusable, accessible UI components and establish shared front-end patterns that promote consistency across Clinicals applications. Integrate frontend interfaces with backend services through GraphQL APIs and RESTful endpoints. Leverage Node.js to support frontend build tooling, server-side rendering, or lightweight middleware services as needed. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into reliable, user-centered interfaces. Analyze existing frontend codebases and contribute to migration efforts toward a unified React-based architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects, performance bottlenecks, and cross-browser compatibility issues. Write clean, testable frontend code and actively participate in code reviews, unit testing, and end-to-end testing practices. Use AI-assisted development tools — such as those supporting code suggestion, automated testing, or debugging — to improve code quality and delivery speed, while applying sound engineering judgment to all final decisions. Contribute to frontend engineering documentation, standards, and shared practices that support team-wide consistency and velocity. Additional Job Responsibilities Support frontend deployment and release activities using tools such as Jenkins or Harness. Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and data integration patterns involving Oracle or other data systems. Work with existing scripts or utilities written in Perl when frontend tooling or integration requires it. Contribute to cloud-based frontend deployment and hosting activities on AWS (Amazon Web Services). Participate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and engineering estimation activities. Identify opportunities to improve frontend performance, accessibility, and overall developer experience. Support onboarding and knowledge sharing for other frontend engineers joining the team. Help document component libraries, architectural decisions, and engineering conventions. Expected Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 to 6 years of professional frontend software development experience. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript in production frontend environments. Hands-on experience building component-driven web applications with React.js. Working knowledge of Node.js for build tooling, server-side rendering, or frontend-adjacent service development. Familiarity with GraphQL for client-side data fetching and API integration. Exposure to Perl, Oracle, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Jenkins, and/or Harness is a plus. Experience writing maintainable, testable frontend code within an Agile software development lifecycle. Solid understanding of browser behavior, web performance optimization, and frontend debugging tools. Ability to collaborate across functional teams including design, product, and backend engineering in a hybrid work environment. At JetBrains, we are passionate about boosting developer productivity. Since our inception, we've been creating tools that eliminate repetitive tasks, simplify workflows, and empower developers to focus on what they do best: creating amazing things with code. JetBrains IDEs enable millions of developers worldwide to achieve their full potential. As JetBrains continues to grow, so does the amount and complexity of cross-team work. At the same time, AI is increasing both the pace of change and the coordination load across the company. To keep growing while continuing to build great products, we want to strengthen our execution. We're now looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help us run complex cross-team technical programs, raise execution quality and improve planning, delivery predictability, and escalation discipline for complex work. In this role, you will: Lead the most complex cross-team technical programs in your primary domain. Make sure complex work across the domain is planned, coordinated, and executed to a consistently high standard. Surface risks, blockers, and capacity issues early, and drive mitigation or escalation when local coordination is not enough. Serve as the senior PMO-side escalation point when complex delivery work in the domain gets stuck. Keep program status accurate by verifying execution rather than only collecting updates. Work with product, engineering, quality, and service teams to define goals, scope, milestones, dependencies, and key decisions. Build workable program plans and coordination cadences, and clarify resourcing needs with the teams involved. Coach TPMs and other part-time program leads across the domain and, where the setup includes full-time TPMs, manage them directly. Partner closely with product, engineering, quality, and service teams without taking over their decision-making authority. Typical programs may include sunsetting a feature or product, rolling out a major feature, driving a large technical refactoring effort, or coordinating the response to a major customer or partner escalation that becomes complex cross-team work. You'll work primarily within one domain, such as one of our IDEs, a major functional area in an IntelliJ-based product, or another area with heavy cross-department dependencies, while also contributing to cross-domain priorities as part of the PMO team when needed. We will be happy to have you on our team if you have: A proven track record of leading complex software programs or other cross-team initiatives from start to finish. The ability to influence without direct authority, challenge assumptions constructively, and work effectively across product, engineering, quality, and other functions. Strong negotiation, facilitation, and escalation judgment. The ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives effectively, prioritize well, and keep execution plans tied to reality. Experience coaching other program or project managers and improving execution quality beyond your own work. Enough technical depth to sanity-check feasibility claims, dependency chains, and delivery risk in a technical environment. A technical background or experience working closely with software development teams. At least 5 years of program or project management experience in the tech industry. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A strong understanding of how complex software programs are structured, planned, and driven through delivery; formal PM training or certification is a plus. Experience with IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, JetBrains tools, or other developer-focused products would be a plus. If selected, we'll give you the opportunity to: Work on tools that help developers become better versions of themselves. Be part of a team that values collaboration, creativity, and impact. Enjoy a flexible, supportive work environment designed to help you succeed. Embrace the opportunity to shape the future of developer productivity. Why join JetBrains? Strong base salary. We offer competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience. Flexible work location. Enjoy the freedom to work from home or from the office. Remote work. Spend up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad. Extra time off. More days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love. Medical insurance allowance. Enjoy peace of mind for you and your family. Learning and development opportunities. Access to conferences, courses, and language classes. Language classes. Pick up the local language or sharpen your English skills. Fuel your day. Enjoy a hot meal or receive a lunch allowance on workdays. Mental health support. To help you feel your best, we provide easy access to professional mental health services. Sports benefit. Enjoy an on-site gym or sports club stipend. Internal events. Join company-wide celebrations and team gatherings. *Some benefits may vary depending on location. We are an equal opportunity employer We know great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. That's why we do our best to create an open and inclusive workplace – one that welcomes everyone regardless of their background, identity, religion, age, accessibility needs, or orientation. Your creative field We are looking for a full-time, permanent Technical Project Manager (all genders) to join our PMO team as soon as possible. We embrace a remote-first approach (within Germany), but you can choose whether you'd like to work in a hybrid model or entirely on-site, depending on your proximity to one of our locations (Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich). As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you are a cornerstone of strategy execution at Contabo – and you're joining at a time when a lot is moving strategically. Alongside the continued evolution of our existing cloud infrastructure, we are driving initiatives that will expand our portfolio well beyond what exists today over the coming years. This is exactly where your role comes in: embedded in our PMO, you take end-to-end ownership of technical projects across development teams and business functions – including initiatives for which no blueprint exists yet, where you help shape structures from the ground up. You work at the intersection of technology and business: you translate sometimes still ambiguous requirements into executable plans, actively challenge requirements, and structure initiatives into scalable roadmaps, iterations, and implementation phases. In your day-to-day work, you coordinate priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing across multiple teams and parallel workstreams, identify resource bottlenecks and delivery risks early, and ensure transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and effective escalation management – especially when scope and priorities shift in our fast-moving environment. You'll be working with tools like Jira, Confluence, and comparable solutions. Beyond individual projects, you shape the PMO itself: you continuously develop our standards and processes, support portfolio alignment and prioritisation, and share your knowledge as a mentor to junior project managers. A lean PMO at Contabo means a high degree of autonomy and genuine ownership – you report directly to the Head of Strategy Execution & ESG and contribute measurably to the execution of Contabo's strategic roadmap. What convinces us Your personality, paired with: 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management within software development or technical delivery organisations Proven end-to-end delivery ownership of cross-functional initiatives with multiple parallel workstreams – not limited to governance or status-reporting roles Strong experience in stakeholder and escalation management A high degree of ownership and composure in an environment of shifting priorities and ambiguity Confident use of common PM tooling such as Jira, Confluence (or comparable) Experience in a cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure environment, as well as with agile scaling, PMO, or portfolio management (a plus) A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification Professional fluency in English; German language skills and certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, PSM) are a plus We know that you may not currently meet all of these requirements. But if you bring the right amount of commitment and enthusiasm for the role, we can achieve great things together. Awesome Prospects At Contabo, we are constantly evolving. Our growth creates space for new ideas, ownership, and real impact for people who want to make a difference. What defines us is trust, direct communication, and an open feedback culture. We believe the best solutions are built together and that everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and leave their own footprint. Additionally, we offer: Work the way that fits your life – Remote or hybrid with flexible hours for a healthy work-life balance and the same technical equipment at home as in the office Experience real freedom – Workation across the EU and in our summer office in Mallorca Stay active and healthy – Access to EGYM Wellpass and thousands of fitness and wellness facilities Enjoy exclusive perks – Attractive discounts on many products and services through our corporate benefits program Recharge your energy – 30 days of vacation plus additional days off on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Give back – An extra day off to get involved in social activities through our Volunteer Day Make an impact – Take ownership and bring your ideas to life with real creative freedom Keep growing – Individual professional and personal development opportunities in an innovative tech environment Feel comfortable where you work – Modern, conveniently located offices across our European locations Be part of a diverse team – Work in an international environment shaped by diversity Create lasting memories – Company events and team activities you won't forget How to reach us If you have any questions, you can reach out to Max by email at . Our leadership team includes industry visionaries Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor, whose extensive experience from companies like Google, Facebook, Salesforce, and Google Labs inspires our strategic direction and innovative mindset. About The Role We are seeking a talented Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience across Sierra's core product interfaces and customer-facing web pages. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our AI solutions, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and accessible experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, content, and engineering to develop and refine our web presence. Your expertise will help build robust content infrastructure, support localization efforts, optimize site performance, and uphold accessibility standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence Sierra's digital footprint while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment committed to excellence and continuous growth. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in frontend development with a passion for creating impactful user experiences. You should have experience working on marketing or growth-oriented websites, with a solid understanding of business metrics such as conversion funnels and SEO. Proficiency in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (or similar frameworks) is essential, along with a keen eye for UI/UX detail. Experience working with headless CMS platforms like Sanity, and familiarity with structured content models, will be highly advantageous. A deep commitment to performance optimization and accessibility is required, including knowledge of WCAG standards, semantic markup, and assistive technologies. You should be comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, translating their needs into technical solutions, and balancing trade-offs effectively. Additional experience with localization, internationalization, analytics, experimentation platforms, and third-party service integrations will be considered a plus. Responsibilities Own the development and maintenance of frontend interfaces across Sierra's core product and marketing platforms, ensuring a cohesive and polished user experience. Design and implement content infrastructure using Sanity CMS to empower marketing and content teams with self-serve tools, structured content schemas, and preview workflows, reducing reliance on engineering for routine updates. Partner with marketing, sales, and operations teams to embed analytics, enable experimentation, and translate business objectives into functional features that drive growth and engagement. Support localization and internationalization efforts by developing multilingual content workflows, translation management, and infrastructure to ensure high-quality global user experiences. Prioritize performance as a key feature by managing Core Web Vitals, media optimization, and diagnosing subtle issues like layout shifts, lazy loading, and render timing to enhance speed and responsiveness. Champion accessibility by implementing semantic markup, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and WCAG-compliant component design to ensure inclusivity for all users. Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to translate their goals into technical solutions, maintaining a balance between design fidelity and technical feasibility. Continuously monitor and improve the frontend codebase, keeping up with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving user needs. Life insurance and disability benefits to provide security and peace of mind. Retirement plans tailored to regional regulations and offerings. Generous parental leave policies to support new parents. All benefits are subject to regional policies, may vary, and are provided in accordance with Sierra's applicable plans and policies. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Sierra's equity programs, subject to plan terms.
