Mobi.AISomerville, United States6 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid$140,000 - $190,000 / Year
javascripttypescriptreactvitecypressplaywright+5

About Mobi.AI Mobi partners with the world's leading travel brands to create AI experiences that change how people discover and book travel. By combining deep AI expertise with more than a decade of experience in travel commerce, Mobi helps travel brands understand what travelers want, deliver more relevant experiences, and convert AI-driven intent into direct bookings. Our technology connects the intelligence of AI with the realities of travel—integrating with the systems brands already use while creating new opportunities to engage customers throughout their journey. We're building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of travel commerce. Working at Mobi We believe the best ideas emerge when diverse perspectives come together, so we're building a team that truly reflects that belief. If you're energized by complex challenges, inspired by working alongside thoughtful teammates, and passionate about building technology that enhances—rather than replaces—what makes us human, you'll feel right at home here. Our Work Is Centered On Five Core Values Show up, be you. We welcome every kind of thinker, maker, and teammate: quiet or bold, methodical or messy, with all their talents and quirks. Inclusion isn't a checkbox—it's how we connect, grow together, and do our best work. Be scrappy, stay steady. We're resilient and quick on our feet, adapting with creativity and staying grounded when things shift. Create transparency, collaborate better. We believe knowledge grows when it's shared. Clear, open communication builds trust and strengthens collaboration. Foster community, be compassionate. We show up for our teammates, customers, and neighbors. Strong businesses grow from relationships built with care and grounded in shared effort. Build thoughtfully, create impact. We design for clarity, build for scale, and measure success through real-world impact. About The Role As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Mobi, you'll own customer-facing features from defining the problem and making design trade-offs to implementation, release, and production support. We're looking for a curious engineer who can turn ambiguous customer needs into reliable, accessible experiences for AI-powered travel. You'll build interactive search and recommendation experiences, virtual concierge services, and data-rich dashboards. You'll work directly with clients, designers, backend engineers, and AI engineers to scope solutions, explain trade-offs, and iterate on what users need. You'll build tool-driven interfaces for AI assistants and app integrations, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) apps. The work includes streaming and partial results, authentication and session continuity, and clear loading, error, and confirmation states. AI-assisted software development is essential to this role. You should be able to show how you use coding assistants and agents to implement, test, debug, and refine changes across an existing codebase, through professional or substantive project work. You remain accountable for the result: understanding the code, checking assumptions, and independently verifying correctness, security, accessibility, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain production React and TypeScript applications, making explicit trade-offs in component architecture, state management, and maintainability. Turn designs and prototypes into responsive, accessible interfaces, including keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and usable pending, error, and confirmation states. Use AI coding assistants and agents throughout the development lifecycle to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards for correctness, accessibility, performance, and maintainability. Work with design, backend, and AI engineers to define UI contracts for tool calls, streaming, session state, and recoverable failures. Measure and improve frontend performance, including responsiveness, rendering, and the user experience during slow or interrupted requests. Stay current with front-end trends, tools, and emerging AI technologies. Debug production issues across browser rendering, application state, and API integration; use telemetry and reproducible cases to find root causes and prevent regressions. Build and maintain deterministic unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests for UI behavior and API contracts. Partner with AI and backend engineers on scenario-based evaluation of model-driven interactions, including partial results, failures, and user confirmations. Develop and share effective AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering productivity and code quality. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+). Deep practical experience with React, including component architecture, state management, and diagnosing rendering and performance issues. Strong practical TypeScript skills, including type-safe component and API contracts and the ability to work confidently in an existing codebase. Experience writing and maintaining reliable automated frontend tests with tools such as Playwright, Jest, or Cypress, including asynchronous behavior and failure cases. Demonstrated proficiency with AI coding assistants and agents, shown through professional or substantive project work that you can explain, test, and critically review. Experience directing AI tools through changes across multiple files in an existing codebase, including implementation, test generation, debugging, and refactoring. Strong judgment in evaluating AI-generated solutions: able to explain the code, verify its behavior, identify errors, and recognize when independent investigation or a different approach is needed. Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and asynchronous services, including authentication, session state, and error recovery. Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Experience with build tools and version control (e.g., Next, Vite, Git). Evidence of independently shipping and supporting complex frontend features, explaining design tradeoffs, and collaborating effectively with designers, customers, and engineers. Preferred: Experience shipping AI-powered user interfaces. Bonus: Understanding of MCP and response streaming. Benefits & Perks Competitive Base Salary + Annual Bonus Comprehensive Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision) for you and your family, covered mostly by the company. Mobi hires those willing to work either full-time in office or on a hybrid schedule. Equal Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer; applicants, employees, and former employees are protected from employment discrimination and harassment of any type based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status and genetic information (including family medical history), or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. Pay Transparency The base salary range for this US full-time position is between $140,000 - $190,000 and is eligible for an annual company bonus, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. All candidates receive equity (ISO) and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for candidates. The following factors are considered when determining the compensation offered: work location, skills, experience, and any relevant education or training. The Recruiter or Hiring Manager can share more about the specific salary range with you during the recruitment process and answer any questions you have.

Software Engineer, Bridge
StripeNew York, United States65 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid$173,000 - $259,600 / Year
swiftdjangoexpressrailssqldental+3

Who We Are About Bridge We're creating an entirely new payments platform, built with stablecoins, to simplify global money movement. Bridge enables faster, cheaper payments and borderless access to dollars via stablecoins. Through our APIs, businesses can send and receive funds across borders faster and cheaper vs. SWIFT and other fiat-only rails. Our virtual accounts enable international consumers and businesses to easily access, store, and spend US dollars. Our payouts infrastructure enables platforms to disburse USD to anyone globally. We believe many trillions of dollars will move and settle through stablecoin payment rails. Bridge is pulling this future forward. We have a small team of people who have previously built financial infrastructure at some of the world's leading companies (Coinbase, Stripe, Square, Brex, Upstart, DoorDash, Airbnb), and each and every one of them chose Bridge because they fundamentally believe that stablecoins will be a critical piece of financial infrastructure that allows for the improvement of global money movement. About The Role As an early member of the Bridge engineering team, you'll have the autonomy to work on projects that are truly global in scale and aim to give customers access to products they've never had access to. Many of the use cases that we work on today didn't exist several months ago, and that's because our team is dedicated to constant improvement for our partners and end users. Our engineers have outsized ownership over projects, so if you're looking for increased autonomy working on a completely greenfield opportunity, Bridge is the place for you. Responsibilities Ship software to build out our suite of API products. We're an engineering and API-first company, and you'll learn first-hand and contribute towards building highly reliable, performant, and business-critical infrastructure serving thousands of developers across the globe. Take sole ownership of projects, oftentimes without the support of Product Management, and liaise both internally with teams like Legal and Compliance and externally with our partners and developers. Look for constant improvements to our product offerings with the explicit goal of improving the experience for our partners and end users. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes for the team and our broader org. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum Requirements We're open to hiring engineers at various levels of seniority (SWE through Senior Staff), but at a minimum we're looking for somebody with 5+ years of experience. Experience building backend systems with SQL databases. Experience with frameworks such as Rails, Django, Express, or equivalent is a bonus. An enlarged sense of ownership and the ability to lead and influence the design and direction of our products An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment A growth mindset, constant curiosity, and fearlessness to dive into the unknown An ability to write maintainable, well-tested, modular code, but also be pragmatic about moving fast Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical documentation Preferred Qualifications Past experience working on crypto or financial products a plus, and while not required, we do look for people who are very passionate about building in this space Experience with building API products a plus, but not required Experience working with blockchain or distributed systems a big plus Hybrid work at Stripe This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). In-office expectations Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams. Working remotely at Stripe A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live. Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $173,000 - $259,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends. We look forward to hearing from you. At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us. Apply now Please find our California applicant personal information notice here. The application window will remain open for 100 days after the Job Post is published. However, this opportunity will remain open based on the needs of the business, which may cause the application window to close before or after the 100-day mark.
